Love Lazy Acres! Love the fresh foods. Love the specialty items. Love the people that work there.
Big health food store that has a cute boutique grocer feel. Good selection and departments weve all come to expect. Such as: meat, fish, bakery, deli and prepared foods, salad bar, fruits and veggies and everything in between. Found something I havent seen before, cold pressed coffee on tap! Three kinds no less. Thats cool!I love their little gift and flower section also. If I need a little hostess gift or something Ill often find something. Candles too. Is it me or do other stores not carry jars and stuff (Individual jars for food and beverages. I dont mean flats of Mason jars.) It adds to that local small grocer feel. Staff are cheerful and helpful too.
Very nice but please consider helping those less fortunate if you do your shopping here and money isnt a concern. There are many hungry and homeless people who dont have the medical attention they all deserve
High end market with high prices. The hot food is really good.
Lazy Acres is a grocery store with a large selection of products, fresh produce, and friendly employees. It is an upscale grocery store with a European style. The atmosphere is restful and the prices are a bit high.
Feels - awkward. Stockers are helpful. Counter folks, not so much. Great if you want non-dairy dairy products. Not so much if you just want strawberry cream cheese. And, yes, costy.
Great food, high prices, clean. Its a lot like Whole Foods, Sprouts, and any other high end grocery store. They do have outlets to charge a cell phone and I appreciate that.
They used to have a decent amount of options for their sandwiches made to order but they recently changed their menus and got rid of a lot of their dressings. Now they ONLY have mayo based dressing which is wildly insane to not have any other options than Mayo. I love the store but this is such a tasteless decision. I filled out a sandwich order yesterday and put “no pesto aioli” Bc I don’t like Mayo and the worker asked if I wanted regular Mayo. Like no I don’t want any Mayo but you have absolutely NO other options. Newsflash not everyone like Mayo. And the fact that you don’t have just ONE other option is upsetting. They literally make a pesto pizza just some feet away from the sandwich station but only offer a Mayo based pesto for their sandwiches. So they have plenty of options if they wanted but they choose to only offer Mayo and then act taken aback when someone opts for no dressing at all. Please give more variety and not just Mayo based dressing.
I have been shopping here for over 20 years. The people that work at this store are phenomenal. I had some serious health issues over the years, and they go above and beyond. The meat department Effren and John and Carlos and Shane, all of the guys are remarkable. I get all my dogs food from them. They went above and beyond during covid, and everyday. The deli is great, Miguel is amazing, and Adrianna. The checkers at the front have been there through all of the pandemic, and have been kind and helpful, Alma also is remarkable. They help me and I shop here a min of three days a week. You can get great veggies and fruits here but it is the people that make this store amazing. Thanks guys for great service!
Store is clean and organized. Food all seemed fresh. Check-out was quick. Cashier was friendly.
I stopped in to kinda look around and see what all they offered and found myself in the vitamin section. Im pretty new to vitamins and supplements and homeopathic treatments and lucky for me i ran into an employee who really knew and understood the different herbs and teas and doses. I told her my short story along with my ailments and what im going through and she recommended several things that from her experience would help me out. She was absolutely amazing and i appreciate kind people just like her.
My first time there and I love this store! Great selection of vitamins as well as groceries. The staff were very friendly.
The best food, products and customer service. The have raw milk here and plenty of probiotic choices!! At the juice bar though, we got a few smoothies that were bland, but Im sure had great ingredients in it.
Everyone working here is so nice, patient and HELPFUL! :D When I want to splurge and treat myself I go here. I get their coconut chicken tenders which I love, brocolli salad and cajun trail mix for a nice snack.
Nice and clean and amazing staff. My favorite grocery and 1st choice. 🍕 Station was closed though so that crushed red pepper🌶 my ❤.
So many delicious things to choose from that I actually cant pick most of the time.
I really like this market product quality
Staff if friendly and VERY helpful 🙂
Best smoothies in town! Lazy Acres had everything. Sushi, Lasagna, stuffed chicken in that amazing deli. Wonderful employees, especially Adriana Valentina who is beyond helpful also very resourceful.
Pretty good experience. They have choices that you dont find at normal grocery stores. When I used to go to their frequently, I used to get whatevers on special in the hot case, as it would almost always be good. You still like to get the variety of soups too. I think the covid-19 measures have changed a few things that Im sure will go back to normal shortly.
I feel oddly rushed here. But they have raw milk, which is wonderful
Really cool space. Lots of options. Yummy food and single beers.
Pretty decent store, friendly, knowledgeable staff (for the most part) and good products, its just very spendy. Some things are worth it, whilst other things are considerably more than at regular grocery. Its the place to go for more specialty fancy-schmancy foods.
The cashier was great and helpful and the store is always beautiful. My only complaints are that its expensive and they were out of hand sanitizer in front (during a pandemic).
Great selection, if youre after the best of what SB has to offer. A bit pricey for me, however.
A little on the expensive side, but the store and staff are great, to mention the produce is awesome!!!!
Lazy Acres has always been a favorite spot of mine over whole foods, trader joes and even their bigger parent company Bristol Farms. The people are genuine here and the smiles can be seen through the mask. This store is a foundation for what all grocery stores should be like.
Great food!!! Brisket...Flap Steak...& Fantastic service
This is for the coffee bar. I just paid for and received one of the WORST caps I have ever had!!!!! Absolutely dusgusting, unfortunately I took a sip of it before throwing it away... hoping it doesnt make me sick... Absolutely horrified...
Nice storeVery cleanFriendly staff
I love Lazy Acres! So many delicious food items & drinks.
This store has a fantastic dairy section. It is stocked with milks from the highest quality Californian Dairies. Their selection of cheeses and most others products is top-notch and vast.
Found my red Chilean wine, Casa la Postole
Maybe a bit pricier but a lovely store, always fresh produce and a good array of options.
This store smells good, from the juice bar to the produce section, hot deli and cookies. The juices are great and made to order.
Great pokiMade fresh everyday
The produce and meats are amazing but sadly the service is lacking 🤷🏻♂️ Ill shop elsewhere.
Love the supermarket especially the freshly caught ahi tuna which I grilled and had for dinner.
Great high end grocery store. Locally owned, farmers market produce, great everything 😊
Cant go wrong with this place. Everything is fresh and REAL. Great salads, hot meals, sushi, cheese and dessert to die for 😋
Not good. They lost there edge and food quality tanked
Love all of their fresh fruits, vegetables, juices, they have great fresh organic produce great salad bar they will even deliver for you, Amazing take out food, a bit pricy but the quality is the best. We cant afford to go there every week, but once in a while is nice.👍
The best local health food location. I shop here when needed and love love love your food bar. Tons of great options.
This is a great grocery store. They have an incredible selection of items. I would say its the best grocery store in Santa Barbara.
I love this place! Location is prime. Selection is unmatched! Hot-ready-to-eat foods that are delicious. Very customer friendly. The deli is mouthwatering. My only complaint is that its a wee-bit on the expensive side. But if quality is what you are looking for you have found the right spot.
This place had all I want in one place! They had varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables, and fresh catch fish daily. The place was very classy and had shiny floors. Angelo was very friendly, he helped us in the meat section. They also have a great selection of fine cheeses. They also sell handyman tools and pots for your garden. They got it all here!
Everything looked amazingly fresh and so delicious. I always find what I went there for and so much more.
Dope store everything is fresh and organic
I’m pretty sure they overcharged for apples. I bought 3 apples for $4.22. It should have been around $2.00. I didn’t realize it until I left.
Convenient, expensive. Lots of organic options.
Great, quality produce market! Excellent lunches. I really like coming here for their Poke bar, but they have all kinds of delicious pre-made food for you! Organics galore! Smoothie bar, salad bar and good seating for lunch. A little pricey but thats what you get with quality produce!
Good organic selection and well organized
This is where we buy our massage oil. They have good high end groceries and hard to find items.
Great shopping! The produce is all first quality and looks picture perfect. Great selection of food. Amazing take out food. They have the best poke. And cute gifts.
Very unpleasant exchange with personnel behind the fish counter. When I asked a question about how fresh the fish in the packages were he replied very curtly, fresh? Similar curt response when I asked when it was packaged. So sorry to trouble you, sir. I will take my business elsewhere since you clearly cannot be bothered to respond politely to a reasonable question.
This place has been here forever. Excellent quality products and lots of hard to find products only available here. The food bar and kitchen dining area always have fresh quality options and lots to choose from. The produce always looks top notch along with the meat and cheese departments. Good selection of beer wine and liquor. They have a lot of everything and very good quality.
One of the best markets in Santa Barbara! Lots of healthy options.
Love this store! Quality meat and fish and an excellent selection of cheeses and Olives.
Lazy Acres is just a good happy store. Staff are around to assist, the products are consistently of good quality, even the prepared foods and salad bar. The buffet rotates in various new items (butternut squash polenta was amazing!) but is consistent enough for old favorites will be there. Their produce is also of the same quality - organic food that has been raised with love vs for the just a label organic that has no guarantee of flavor or texture. The chief complaint I hear about Lazy Acres is that its more expensive than other stores. If money is your chief purchase motivator, this is not the store for you, and thats fine. Get your one specialty item at be on your way. If youre willing to pay for quality, consistency and culture, youll find shopping at LA an easy and fulfilling experience.
Great place but avoid tuesdays, senior day and it is a madhouse
Lazy Acres, its one of the best quality grocery stores in Santa Barbara. We love their Deli, Salad Bar, Seafood Bar, Juice Bar, & their Delicious Prepared Hot-and-Cold Food items Bar. Plus, they make some of the best muffins in town.
I love the people that works in the vegetables area they are very friendly and hard workers
Too busy. People are too crowded. Not a good thing under current COVID period
Love this place. They have everything. Great prices. The deli has great brisket bowls for $10.99Definitely worth it.
Love this place!! If they put the non dairy cheese in the deli selection where it belongs, with hummus and tofurky etc, rather than lost in produce, Id give it 5 stars.
Very nice store with an everything amazing in it.
If youre looking for a grocery store thats even more expensive and pretentious than Whole Foods, look no further!
Cant figure out what the appeal is. Seems like good quality but way too high priced. I guess its cool to be seen there. We went for some vitamin supplements and I ask my wife if she wanted to look around some more and she said NO! It seems there are other places you can get similar things and similar quality at a better price.
Awesome selection of healthy food items even though the open food bar areas are temporarily closed. We stop here every time we are in S. Barbara
I have been craving a tempura shrimp sushi roll and I went in about 4:00 prepared to buy 2 of them. They didnt have any and I asked the guy if he could please prepare them for me and he said no, they were not making anymore today. Definitely disappointed!!
Good quality and produce
Great store
A really great store with a fresh selection of fruits, vegetables, fresh homemade soups, cold and hot bar, and their bakery is also good! I go here often and while the prices are just a little bit higher it is okay. Theyve also added some Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian items to their hot bar!
I am totally in love with the vegan oatmeal cookies and the tempeh salad. My only complaint bis that they do not provide nutritional information.
Great organic upscale market. Staff is great and they have some unique products on their shelves. Their kitchen is very good and you can get both cold and hot food ready to eat. The cheese and wine section stands out. Worth a visit to this Santa Barbara classic in the heart of the Mesa neighborhood.
I love this grocery store. Even though I found out it’s part of a larger chain. They have everything I’m ever looking for, with maybe the occasional exception. Their prices are reasonable and they have a decent amount of local produce. Their cold and hot bar is pretty decent too. Their juice and smoothie bar is yummy! And the employees are all so nice!
Wonderful shopping experience. Great food to go.
Wonderful grocery store
Since Bristol farms took over...it resembles a...Bristol farms more and more...I grew up in rolling hills where Bristol farms is originally located....yeah...not a good thing...sterile...Republican...expensive ...elite...the only thing lazy about these acres is the corporate management who sits back and collects their big bonuses while the workers look suicidal...good products and a morose staff and super high prices make it an experience. If it wasnt by the ocean not sure if people would care
Maybe the best grocery store I know. Great hot food, beer and wine. Great produce, healthy snacks and a large health and wellness section for herbal supplements and such. While the produce is a bit expensive the other items are quite reasonable and they have great service, you can tell people enjoy working here. A perfect grab and go spot for takeout, a quick coffee, Rx goods and groceries all in one location. Awesome
A confectioners dream!
A bit pricey, but good selection
I love Lazy Acres. I love their sales. I love their senior discount. I love that a percentage of my purchase is passed on to the charity of my choice. I love the coupons. I love, love, love the free cheese samples. Most of all I love the people who work there. Never once have I felt unwelcome or as if I wasnt getting the best service ever. Lazy Acres, thank you for hiring such nice people.
Good food. The deli features real roast turkey and beef much better than the packaged over processed pink slime most delis serve these days.
One of the best super markets with healthy food, extremely clean and neat, great customer service, and well stocked. The best big warm and fresh chocolate chip cookies, great hot pizza nice and fresh, etc....
Lazy Acres is somewhat pricey BUT the pastries are EXCELLENT and worth splurging on. The cashiers could try to be a bit more friendly. Some are just downright morose!
Have been shopping there for 3 months now. Pleased to shop there every time
Lazy acres is by far best in Santa Barbara!
Lazy Acres offers a wide selection of groceries and home products including organic, gluten-free, local and veggie-based to meet your dietary needs. Delicious deli counter with to-go foods including sandwiches, coffee, mac and cheese, pizza, salads, pastries and more which can be enjoyed on the small patio they have tucked away on the side. It has the cute and calm atmosphere of a sprouts with the variety, quality and (almost) the price of whole foods.
Love the selection the courteousness great selection hot food I say its a cross between my whole foods and and sprouts with the prices about in their range
Selling the disposable masks for 35 times the original price overpriced. What is one persons tragedies and difficult time other business opportunities.
They recently remodelled and it looked great. You can go grocery shopping or grab a bite to eat. They also have a mini coffee/cafe area which is a good option for lunch if you are undecided.
It is a nice grocery store. It carries stuff for people with allergies and a lot of organic stuff. In my opinion the prices are high and that is typical of organic, gluten free. Etc type of stuff. I shop for lactose free stuff and other items that are not available in a common grocery store. Tuesday is senior day and the seniors get 15 % discount. The store has good quality goods.
The best grocery store in the Western USA. All fresh organic food for every taste. You can get good to cook up or buy good ready to eat it will blow your mind. I have been going for over thirty years from when I came from New York also great liquor and wine selection .enjoy great food
Cakes 😍 ... the cakes here are the best. They have whipped cream instead of frosting, nice and soft. Fresh, fresh fruit, delicious .. staff is so friendly and helpful everytime i come especially in the bakery department, they are always so polite, the guy who helped my yesterday was young Hispanic, very nice. The food always very fresh and clean food bar. Hot and very tasty.
They are just as goodas Whole Foods!
