I am visiting from out of town, and my phone stopped charging. Big problem! Apple wouldnt touch the repair, but uBreakiFix diagnosed the issue and fixed it quickly, and at a very fair price. Highly recommended!

Although I bought the protector from Amazon, they installed it perfectly immediately without charging me. In return, I offered to buy coffee from the nearby Petes but they politely refused. My Pixel 3 wasnt charging. The tech took it in the back for 2 minutes and came out with it completely fixed. The USB connection was dirty.Best of all, that was a free service! Super-fast, too.

After a frustrating experience at a different ubreakifix location I was pleasantly surprised by the service here. JC was super helpful and informative!Recently my phone had been having sound issues during phone and wifi calls.An employee at the previous ubreakifix location ran a simple sound test, told me that there was nothing wrong with the phone. He said that it was probably just a software or network issue and theres nothing he could do to fix it.I ended up checking out this ubreakifix location right after since it was nearby, and JC was able to immediately identify the problem (water damage on the mic port). He also performed a series of sound tests to reproduce and confirm the issue. He was able to describe exactly what was wrong with my phone and provide an estimated cost to fix. This took maybe a total of 10 min. Thank you!
Im from the south side San Jose so I normally go to the one on Curtner but this location had the part I needed. I had a cracked Samsung A20 screen and they were able to fix it. Good customer service in person and over the phone and they always double checked the price. The only downside was the wait was longer than expected but I was able to get my device the same day! Thanks guys

I talked to two ibreakufix locations about a bad headphone jack on a Samsung galaxy. The first told me heβd have to order the part and would need a $179 deposit. I called the Santa Clara location and JC said to just bring it in and heβd bet something was just stuck in the jack and heβd clean it. Sure enough, JC diagnosed it in about 5 seconds, Daniel took it in the back for 2 minutes, and I was back on the road. They are not only nice guys, but straight shooters as well.

Recommend their services and until now, did not realize they were connected thru Asurion.So not happy with Asurion!My wifes phone had a cracked screen and realized rather than sending in to Asurion through the mail, they fixed it locally and we were able to drop it off. I was disappointed though to find out that while talking on the phone to Asurion, they did not mention that both phones could be fixed within my AT&T phone insurance by this company for only the deductible amount. The first of my phones was fixed with uBreakiFix as well. But I paid full repair price because Asurion did not let me know that they were authorized. It could have been fixed through my AT&T policy for almost nothing through my insurance as well. But thank you to uBreakiFix both phones repaired, just unfortunate I had to be full repair price on one. But great job. Thx
In late June, I took my android in to get fixed, as it had an issue charging. I was told that it would take a week to get the required part, and that they would contact me when it came in. After waiting a week and getting no response, I called in an was told it would take a month. A month later, I called in and they said they used the part they ordered for another person, and that theyd call in again. So I once again waited. Finally, I was called in 3 weeks later and told that the part had arrived and to come in by Sunday for same day repair. I came in, and they told me that they were backed up and Id have to leave my phone until Monday to get it repaired. When I came in on Monday, they said that they were unable to fix my phone because it was actually a mother board issue and not a charging port issue. They returned to me my phone, which I had been using a wireless charger for, in a state in which even a wireless charger wouldnt work. Essentially, they wasted 2 months of my time just to break my phone even more. Awful communication, awful service, very unprofessional, I cant recommend this place.Edit: They say to reach out to them through their phone number (which I have dozens of times in the last few months). But how do I reach out to them now? With what phone? The phone that cant even charge through a wireless charger now after they fried its motherboard?
They replaced battery in my Android phone. Took it back home and found out it doesnt charge at all. Apparently they didnt bother trying to charge the phone after replacing the battery.
Took my phone here to get my front screen fixed that was cracked and when i came back to pick it up i found that the back of my phone was cracked and it was not cracked when i gave my phone to them in the first place. the workers insisted that i cracked it and that they had to check security cameras footage to see how it may have cracked. when cameras were checked, they told me there was no evidence that it cracked in their store. they told me to call my insurance and see what to do next and my insurance made them give be a brand new phone. so in the end i was happy but i was not happy with the lack of professionalism the employee had by telling me i cracked it myself. and this took about a week to resolve so it was frustrating. I would recommend going to a different store if you have the option.
I brought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 that needed a new battery. The battery was swelling and, even though it was an older model, I wanted to recycle the battery.They ordered it for me and called a week later when the battery arrived. I came in on Saturday, the tech wasnt sure when the job would be in and told me it would be done Sunday or Monday at the latest. I got a call later that afternoon the job was completed and I could pick it up. I very pleased as I use the tablet daily.

I came to this uBreakiFix location after dealing with some pretty questionable service at another location at The Plant (Curtner Ave). The Plant location told me they couldnt order parts and told me to go get help over at the Santa Clara location. When I go to the Santa Clara location, Brendan helped me (as was very helpful & attentive). He told he could order the parts for my phone repair and gave me a tracking code for my part/order status for my next appointment with them. Even though I did not end up using them (my employer bought me a new phone this morning so I wouldnt have to wait for the repair OR find an excuse to not take his calls), I do highly recommend this uBreakiFix location in Santa Clara because I was treated very well and the staff (Brendan) did everything to make me feel like important client.Apparently they fix other electronics besides cell phones, so I will be sure to refer people here. It was also very clean inside.One note: it is hard to get a hold of them through the phone. I had to call about 5 times (over the course of 2 hours) to reach someone at the business.

But I know he said he doesnt usually work at that location, if that helps the leadership figure out who to recognize for this one.Anyways, the previous 2 people who helped us really dropped the ball by ordering parts, waiting for us to call them in order inform us they had arrived instead of calling like they promised, then having us come in just to say we didnt get the parts, so ask samsung to replace the phone. Obviously Samsung wasnt on board for that.Then just out of random chance we called to check if our ticket was still open and the latest person was so great in finding parts that had apparently arrived and never been put aside for our order, making sure we got prompt service, and staying a little late when we had to pick up the phone! I went in on wednesday as I had dropped my phone and could not use it. I went in late afternoon so I was told it would not be ready for another day. They called me on thursday to let me know it was ready but because I was working I told them I couldnt pick it up until friday. They were very friendly and even installed a screen protector for free. My phone was new so the fee was high ($310 w taxes) but It was cheaper than getting the same phone again. Ive gone to other places where they fix your screen but after getting it back it doesnt work the same, so I was doubtful, but they really made my experience a great one. They also only let 2 people in at a time due to covid which I think is great as the place is small. Thank you for making my phone look brand new again. Highly recommend.
My good old Pixel XL (2016) entered a boot loop and I could in no way get it to start. UBIF (Santa Clara) told us it is a faulty motherboard. Based on the replacement part price (compared to that of my 4-year old phone) and the fact I would lose my data going this route, I decided to not go ahead with the repair and instead try to disassemble the phone myself and... bake my motherboard (which is known to potentially fix it). The staff was very knowledgeable and also more than happy to give me hints on how to do this. I then asked if they could remove the screen for me to get me started (its quite tricky to not break it), and they eagerly did that, FREE OF CHARGE!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life & I dont appreciate the sarcasm I received from the one with no hair when I asked him why is everyone else being helped even though I was first. This is honestly the first time in my life I have been told to wait outside while they proceed to help everyone else. I patiently waited outside & multiple people walked in that they helped with no problem. I was the only one told to wait outside smh & I dont appreciate the Rosa Parks vibes I got!!! I will never come here again the service was disgusting.

The uBreakiFix team at Santa Clara is exceptional, attentive to every single detail about the required fix. Went there for macBook keyboard replacement repair. Glad they are honest and open about getting the desired fix at the optimum possible minimum cost. They also have a new insurance policy which anyone can opt if doing frequent repairs. Replacements may be a bit delayed, understandably because they ship quality ones from overseas to the US. Go-to place for electronic devices repair!
Would only recommend this place to people I hate.My phones screen looks like it was repaired by a 5 year old. Paid them to fix my phones cracked screen, what I got back was a clearly misaligned screen from the phone backing. The replacement phone screen pops out of the phone so I can see the mechanics of the phone underneath. They refused it was a problem and said it was to be expected with a straight face. They advised I use hot glue to seal up the phone screen I just paid them $200 to replace.I was offered a $15 discount on the services provided.
I received awesome service here! I had a cracked screen on my Samsung Galaxy S9, and its a curved screen so I wasnt sure if they would be able to do it. I brought it in, and was able to pick it up later that day! Its as good as new! Im impressed with the quality of the repair and how quickly they were able to do it. Its even an official warranty repair location so you know theyre good! I will be coming back for any future phone or computer repair; the good service was much appreciated!
I was quoted $250 & 2 hour wait for my phone p be fixed by their Curtner store. They ended up not having the parts to fix my phone so they sent me to Santa Clara where they quoted me $400! I had to wait over 3 and a 1/2 hours & even though the front/back glass & my battery was replaced the battery still doesnt hold a charge.....after spending $400 to get it fixed! I really dont think Ill be going back.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. I brought my mother in to have her screen replaced 3 months and 5 days ago, cost was $240. Upon receiving her phone we noticed a bubble. The technician stated they could fix it but it would take another two hours and they would not be able to fix it that day. Being that we waited two hours already and she needed her phone, she decided to settle with the bubble. Fast forward to last week and my mom started noticing dead spots on her phone. We took it in today and they stated that she was just past her warranty(5 days) and would need to pay another 240 dollars to have it fixed. It is extremely dissatisfying that there is nothing they could do to make this right. You pay good money and the work lasts as long as their warranty. Not to mention the manager stated that if it were an iPhone he would be able to make an exception, however, since this was a pixel phone he couldnt. I dont understand the distinction but its frustrating. Avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere with better workmanship and a better warranty.
My experience with the Santa Clara, CA store was top notch. I had an unlocked Galaxy S9 bought from a private seller which didnt work for some reason. They offered to diagnose it for no charge, on the same day. When I went back in the evening, it was fully functional. They said there was a hardware issue - some connector not configured right. There was no charge and they just wanted a good review. You can imagine how happy I was. Things rare turn out this good. Id say it was fairy-tale good. Thank you.

The guy working at the counter is on a power trip to inconvenience you as much as possible. I came in and waited for a while before anyone bothered to come out of the back. If anyone else came in, they are ignored as much as possible. The guy gets off on ignoring you or making you wait around for as long as he can. On top of the lack of cleaning between customers, no hand sanitizer and making you use the same pen without being cleaned between customers during a global pandemic. They dont follow their own rules of only 2 people in the lobby.
Poor customer service and they did the repair incorrectly the first time so I had to go back. They told me that the warranty on my phone was voided because of a small crack in the screen protector. When they opened the phone it was a manufacturer defect in the motherboard, so they would repair it under warranty. From the beginning they should have said well open it up and if the problem was caused from dropping it wont be covered by the warranty rather than it was dropped so the warranty is voided. And then they didnt even fix it properly. The SIM card would not work so I took the phone to Verizon and they couldnt figure it out so they called uBreakiFix and they told them that they must have skipped a step in the repair process. So I went back to them and they tried to pass me back off to Verizon! I had to make a scene for them to take the phone back and fix it properly!
Drove all the way over after confirming they have the part I need by phone, just to be told in person that they need to order it instead, which takes 3 days to arrive. Also the price they quote in person is >$100 marked up than the quote you get online. Needless to say I left immediately.
One of the worst phone repair experiences Ive had in life. These guys will go to any length to prove the issue isnt covered by warranty. I took my Pixel 4, which started showing black spots along the edge of the screen, to have it repaired under warranty as they are authorized to do the service. They vehemently insisted that the damage was likely due to physical damage to the phone although the phone was free of cracks, dents, or even scratches. I took back the phone from them and reached out to Google directly, which acknowledged this to be a known issue and proceeded for a direct RMA.Also be prepared for a long wait due to an utterly slow service.
Iβve had a horrible experience with this company from the beginning I have paid 10 months of service first time usage of the service for my LG 55 inch TV brought it in for repair for a HDMI port wasnβt able to fix it never received call to tell me that they could fix it or not I had to call them went to go pick up my television I wasnβt told that they cracked my television screen in two places I had plugged television up to check it before I left the store to make sure it worksItβs a good thing that I did do that because they wouldnβt have told me that they cracked my screen in two different places if I wouldβve took it home they wouldβve said I did it horrible company for me three days go I was supposed to receive a phone call from the manager of the store in two days is three days and I have received a phone call yet

Nice guys fixed my phone were easy to work with as a former IT guy I recognize their skill. As a note the customer as often is the case in tech do not quite understand what the is, and or generally ask questions that are either hard or impossible answer with out more time/diagnostics. Bottom line is uBreakiFix is is reputable place to get your devices fixed. As for prices I was charged what was said it would cost even though it was and estimate.

I like the free diagnosis to tell you what exactly your device need, I used them twice, in both times they fixed my devices with the prices they quoted and it was reasonable in both times..The only thing I didnt like is meeting the deadline, you expect 1 or 2 days extra. also they said they will call to inform me but they never did, I have to follow up with them every time.
The staff at this Santa Clara store is professional, courteous, and honest from the very beginning. They never upsold anything or gave empty promises. When they said it was going to take longer because of parts shipping issues, they communicated with us constantly. They are also polite, competent, and not afraid of owning their mistakes. They cracked the screen of my PC when repairing, showed it to us, apologized, gave us appropriate discount, and told us to go back if there was a problem. Heres a story of 7 trips to the store after which my phone is still not fully fixed:Trip #1. I take my phone in with a cracked screen to this supposedly authorized service center for Google Pixel phones. They charge me $300 and fix the screen. All good till now.Trip #2. I start using the phone and notice that the squeeze for assistant feature is acting up on its own. I take it back to them, they acknowledge it was a problem with the part they put in and fix it.Trip #3. I bring the phone back home and the microphone is picking up feedback from the speaker leading to echo on calls. I take it back in. They take the phone and ask me to come back in by 3pm the same day.Trip #4. I go back at 3pm and their technician hasnt had time to look into it. They ask me to come at 7pm. I go again at 7pm and their technician still hasnt had time to look into my phone. My time that gets wasted in all of this doesnt matter at all.Trip #5. I go in again the next day. They take the phone in and call me later in the day saying the microphone feedback has been fixed now.Trip #6. I go to pick up the phone and spot check it. I find that while the mic has been fixed, the speaker doesnt work now. I leave it with them again and come back.Trip #7. I go back in to pick up my phone which is now fixed. I use it a couple days and now the screen starts acting up. It starts flickering and flashing on its own. Needless to say I did not make the mistake of going back to them. I mailed it in to Google for a fix.Its mind boggling that they cant fix a simple cracked screen properly after so many tries despite being an authorized repair center for Google. I dont recommend ubreakifix to anyone.

Dishonest, Disrespectful, and Disorganized! I have a Google Pixel 3, one of the most popular phones repaired at this location (Google Certified Repairs) and was without my phone for 25 days. During that time all I heard was excuses, no action. I dont live in the Bay Area, I mailed in my phone for a screen replacement.I elected to mail in for compliance with social distancing. After the first week I assumed COVID19 was to blame for the delay, and I was patient about it. Even though I didnt receive any update (email or phone call).After a week and a half (04/27/2020) I called to check in, I was told that my phone hadnt been checked yet but it should be the next day, because its a mail in, not typically done by this location and working with limited staff. Understandingly I went on to my regular life, as an essential employee and mother my work doesnt stop. Now I couldnt do as great of a job at work, but tried to make up for it with a slow and data eating tablet I had to rely on for essential communication.After 2.5 weeks(05/02/2020) I received another call apologizing for delays; there was a lack of communication and no mail ins had been looked at, but should be the next day. Then another 3 days pass, I received a call now saying the store had run out of screens for my phone but the device would be done and sent to me no later than Thursday (5 days later). On Monday morning 05/11/2020 I get a call from a very nonchalant young man who actually didnt know where my phone was.My phone had been there since 04/17/2020 and had yet to be assessed for a cracked screen. Instead of giving this sorry unmotivated team another chance to drop the ball, I took my only personal time during my 12 hour day to drive 45min away to be met with disrespect and less than halfhearted apologies for the delay, topped off with a dozen excuses.How does a hugely advertised quick, same day, 2hr job turn to 25 days of zero accomplishment? My phone screen is still cracked, Im amazed at how little the employee cared for my inconvenience and safety as he was not wearing a face covering. This was more than a bad experience, it added an emense amout of stress with no regard of me being an essential working mother during an already stressful time, to be without connection and communication to my family, many of whom live out of state. Do not send your phone here.
I came with a phone charging problem, expecting an expensive repair. It appeared that there was simply dirt accumulated in the socket. The serviceman cleaned the socked in 5 minutes and hadnt charged a penny

Just bought a new s20 galaxy. The screen protector it came with started to bubble. I called Samsung and they told me to get it fixed here under my warranty. I called 5 times but no answer until I sent them a message on Google. They said they were open and when I got there they told me they dont do this type of service. Im upset with Samsung for sending me here. They should not be considered an authorized Samsung service center if they are not capable of providing basic services required of an authorized service center.

I brought my phone to these guys after a disastrous experience with another repair shop. my phone was an off brand which meant they didnt have the parts on hand and would need to order them. I asked about a time frame, and was quoted 3 to 5 days. the store manager was nice enough to offer me the use of a spare phone to use while mine was waiting to be fixed, which helped tremendously. the phone was fixed in 4. days, at a competitive price, and throughout the process, this store kept me in the loop with updates via email, which was greatly appreciated. excellent job, excellent customer service!! keep up the good work, guys!!
Over the weekend I dropped my Google Pixel face down on brick pavers. The entire screen shattered. Ugh! This was the first time I ever smashed my screen. I thought I was going to have to get a new phone, but my husband did a quick search and found uBreakiFix.On Monday morning, I called them and someone answered right away. He was friendly and helpful, willing to answer all my questions. He checked to make sure they had my parts in stock. About an hour later I dropped off my phone and about 90 minutes later I had my phone back. It looked like new.Because I film YouTube videos, Im somewhat of a power user when it comes to the photo and video features on the phone. I often hold my phone out my car window, attach it to tripods or hold it over lakes or the ocean. He suggested that I get an Otter case to protect my phone from future falls. I went in with a key that popped off my keyboard that I couldnt get back on and they repaired in while I was there. No charge!?!!? The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the store was clean and inviting. Im definitely going back for all of my computer needs.
This is the first place I have found that does not charge for diagnostics on a non-performing laptop. They were extremely friendly and were willing to help with a selective backup when my external drive did not have enough space. I will recommend them and will use them again.
I fixed my iphone X screen there. Though they mentioned that the problem could be connector issue and can be fixed by no charge, they end up with a new screen and refused to give me back my broken screen. They may lie, IDK.
Took an appointment for fixing my screengaurd for Samsung S8. The service was good and got my mobile back in a couple of hours. They suggested liquid glass for extra protection and now my phone looks as good as new.
My spouse gave her Pixel phone for diagnostics check, which took them 2 business day to tell that mother board on the phone needs to be replaced for microphone not working. After another 3 days, she received the phone and found that the issue was not fixed. When she called them again, they said now the daughter board needs to be replaced and it will cost $700 for a phone that costs like $300.
Fixed my broken screen in no time. Zack was really helpful in explaining the process and giving me more details on my other phone which was filled with water. Overall had great experience and would recommend them for their through, courteous and processional treatment.

Really fast repair. They diagnosed my phone in a day and got the replacement part the next day and fixed the phone. The only reason I didnt give them the 5 start is, the price they originally quote is higher than their price on the website. If you mention the online price they honor that but its weird that they do not offer than originally!

Excellent service and a great policy of not charging you for repairs that do not work. I would love to give this location 5 stars, but they did not reassemble my phone that could not be fully repaired correctly. I plan to ride it now, but it is very disappointing that it has more problems than when I first took it in. This also included having to ask them to return the SIM card tray from my phone. Overall, I think this was an anomaly caused by the unrepairable portion of my phone causing them to be less careful, but it didnt make me feel as good as I had hoped in this occasion.
These guys are awesome! I shattered my phone and they took care of it in a matter of hours since I wanted to wait for it in person, I think I made them beat some sort of record time!Not only that, but also they were extremely nice and welcoming, putting cartoons for a little girl waiting and taking the time to explain every part of the repairing process.I wouldnt think twice if I ever had to repair anything again!
