Went there on a Thursday afternoon for a quick Happy Hour drink with my coworker, and the place was 95% empty. I can see how Barebottle would get busy later on in the afternoon or even on an early Friday afternoon. The place was nicely laid out and the directions to order was clear. Nice clean bathrooms, and the interior was well-lit and laid out.The downfall, the beers were just not great. I tried a flight of 5 beers, and all with the exception of one, I wouldnt order again. I sincerely hope I just ordered the wrong beers, but even the staff werent very helpful in assisting me to try their best.Bottom line, good atmosphere, so-so beers.

Horrible Hospitaliy from Manager Stephanie on 10.17.21.We had guests visiting from Las Vegas and wanted to check the local bar out in our community. This was a place I wanted to bring our friends who enjoy craft beer and is literally downstairs or walking distance from where we live. When we went to the counter to order, Stephanie the manager, in an aggressive tone said WE HARD CLOSE AT 11. We were not expecting 5 star service, but a Hi, welcome in. What can I help you with? would have sufficed. I believe that should be standard hospitality. Especially, working in the service industry. We had an hour before closing, but Stephanie made us uncomfortable in ordering anything. We had questions, but did not feel comfortable to ask. It was an awkward silence for minutes as we looked at the menu. It was our friends first time in the Bay Area and was excited to visit new places.A few minutes pass and Stephanie said again we close at 11. I shook my head and nodded. I kindly said to her, yes you did mention that. I had a discussion with my friends and were thinking of ordering a flight to share so we can try the different flavors and get out their way.As we were about to order our drinks, Stephanie said again were closing at 11. At this point I was upset with the repetitive mention of their closing. I told her I understood they were closing at 11 and if she didnt want to serve us than we can leave. So we did.If the owner of this business is reading this, please know we were not being aggressive with the staff. An hour before closing the staff already had everything closed up for the day. I know COVID hit business pretty hard and we were trying to support the business in any way we can.It was a distasteful experience and hope others do not get treated in this matter. We understood the first time around and thats why we tapered our choices to reflect the time.We visited the establishment a few weeks prior at the same time and did not receive the same treatment. In fact, the other two ladies were helpful with the selection. I apologize I dont remember their names.

Such great sours - and while Im not a fan of IPAs in general, theirs manage to be flavorful without that hardcore bitter that most IPAs have. Also, the empanadas are freaking amazing 😋

Impossible not to keep coming back on & on for exceptionally well-crafted styles - DIPAs are the smoothest (danger!) & the most memorable in terms of nose-texture driven solutions, and all seasonal series are invaluable in varietal discovery opportunity (pilsners, right now). And sirynga about to burst into wild blooming - an absolutely unique touch to your olfactory palette & palate, overall.Take advantage of open recipe sharing (check the cans).

Varied flavors for all kinds of palates. Flights are a little expensive, but the pours are a tad heavier than most and seem like a fair cost. The empandas are really enjoyable and great to snack on. The sausage with the raisins was a nice surprise, which had a lot decedents, which the raisins and dipping sauce cut nicely.

Love Barebottle!Definitely, one of the best breweries in the Bay Area (beer-wise), and with this new taproom, they didnt disappoint!.Huge space with lots of beer on tap (15+), wine and coffee! A couple of pinball machines, a ping pong table, outdoor seating, beers-to-go section and merch area!. They also have some little snacks like pretzels and empanadas for sale.Definitely come check this place out!

Cycled up to the front door told the staff at the desk that I did not have a reservation but I was thirsty for good beer and excellent empanadas . The reply was. Sorry the patio is fully booked. Please sit down at that table, you can keep your bike next to you, I will bring you a beer. Ill be back, was the reply.

The beer is really excellent but there are some organizational and logistical issues. The servers are very lukewarm or sometimes cold, unless directly engaged. The food and the service takes VERY LONG, pretty strange when a reservation has been made or when ordering food. Perhaps some expectation-setting for the customer is necessary, because it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get an empanada or roll (ie. I was finished nursing my first beer before letting them know my first order for food wasnt here yet.) Overall, I think this place has a lot to offer - so am happy to change my review if improvements are made.

Beer is good. But service was horrible. Staff acted like they didnt want us there. Said we had to add a food item if we sat inside. So we asked to sit outside, the waitress made it seem like clearing a table for us was the end of the world. We love going to local breweries and definitely wouldnt go back here. The staff ruined our visit.

This was our first time, we were impressed!! The taste were little different and they have potential to come up with unique flavours. I so want to give them 5 start, but service was bad, the staff were giving cold shoulder to us and we were seated in a narrow table not able to balance food and drinks. Would love to visit again!

This is a brewpub where you need reservations. If your reaction is whaaaaat???, then dont go. If you dont see anything wrong with this, then go and enjoy good beer, though the selection was a bit limited - it was nearly 60% IPA when I visited.

Great concept, but the customer service mentality of the staff is awful. Dealt with an outdoor server, an inside server, and the manager on duty, and all three were rude and seemed like they were doing us a favor by being there. Completely lacking any sense of hospitality or customer service. I definitely would not return.

Stopped in for a flight on my way to the airport. Upon arrival, the host informed me that a food item would have to be added to the tab; making it seem like a local law. I had just ate and was not hungry, but whatever. The cheapest food item they had was a $6 empanada. Like, if you have to add a food item charge me 50 cents for a mint. Thats just scuzzy.Cant talk about the empanada quality since I had to run to catch my flight before it came out. All in all, after the ghost empanada, five 5oz pours came out to $27 before tip. The beer was good. Certainly not over $1 an oz good tho.Would suggest one of the many other breweries in the area.

If you’re looking for a brewery that can both hit the high notes on classic styles and surprise with innovative new beers, you’re going to like Barebottle. I stopped by to get a Crowler to go after a grocery run (they’re open for take out only during the shelter in place), and the experience was ideal. Clean, appropriate social distancing rules, and helpful staff. And the beer didn’t disappoint. Highly recommended!

Stopped here in the height of Covid19, so we couldnt check out the inside :( The outside was small, but shaded so that was good. The inside looked amazing, hopefully well get in there one day. The beer is good as one would expect of course. They make great Kettle Sours and pretty damn good IPAs as well. The food menu was small, but it was fine for a quick snack.

It’s finally open, was it worth the wait? Definitely! The place looks and feels great, with enough sitting, high lit ceiling, and the combination of white and wood breaths a peaceful and welcoming ambience. To be honest though, you can literally drink they’re beer anywhere. With breweries like strike and they’re ipas, hermitage and they’re sours, hapas and they’re kettles, or even clandestine and it’s hang out cave. Barebottle is an incredible addition to the scene. It’s like when Apple chose Cupertino as they’re headquarters or Google Mountain View. Definitely makes a statement, they’re here to stay, to create, to grow, to expand, to evolve and to make some of the best dam beer out there!!!!!!The only thing I would suggest is for the beertenders to engage a little more, to know more about their product, and even dare to make a suggestion. We all know what we like but with the rep that Barebottle has of being creative and constantly inventing we could use a brief description and maybe even an invitation to there latest, like the wine or coffee( or just something they’re proud of). This won’t affect my rating because they just open and getting hit with huge crowds. Looking forward to more future visits........
