Had to quickly get a Thule Truck rack for an upcoming regatta. Through their 800 number they connected me to their nearest store where they found inventory and I worked directly with their team to workout a shipping method that would ensure it arrived to my house in time. Great experience at Rack Attack in Santa Monica (Los Angeles)! I called ahead early in the day and they had 1 left of the roof basket I wanted, so Daniel said he would hold it for me until I could get down there later that day. He was knowledgeable about products, installation, and using the equipment. He was very patient in going through all of my options with me, and helped me to become 100% comfortable installing and removing the box and the rack myself since it was important to me. I would highly recommend Rack Attack to my friends and family, though I would absolutely wait to work with Bailey as he specifically made the experience excellent.

First off thanks Rack Attack!I was looking for a specific product all over the internet and was thrilled when I found out the shop around the corner from me had everything I needed. I stopped by on a weekend and the guys inside were very helpful, they answered all my questions and help me carry everything out to my truck. Before I headed out one of the gentleman gave me some tips on installation and told me if I got stuck just to head back and they would be happy to help. The system I purchased is able to add some extra features to it and once needed I’ll be heading back to pick up some parts. Thanks again guys!

I pulled into the parking lot and was immediately greeted by an employee. He looked over my SUP Taxi I purchased elsewhere and right away knew the roof rack I needed for my car to make that part function. The transaction was so quick and easy! Thanks Cory. One of my parts had to be ordered so when I returned to have my racks installed a few days later another gentlemen said to give him an hour, but it only took 40 minutes! The employee also printed out the user manual for the SUP for me! I was very impressed by this store and its employees and highly recommend them to all. Well done.

Rack attack installed an inferior trailer hitch (available on Amazon for $70.00 with a 1 star review, see below) on my SUV for $280.00. The rack hung down more than three inches from the cars undercarriage (see photo) eliminating half of the ground clearance and making it useless for driving on anything but perfect roads. When this was pointed out to the manager, he became extremely aggressive and rude, and refused to offer any sort of remediation. Note that when you read the review on Amazon, you find that CURT replaced this hitch with another model in 2016 because of this problem. To summarize Rack Attack installed a discontinued, clearly defective hitch and refused to do anything about it, including removing the hitch, which makes my car practically undriveable.Update 12/3/20. Nate the owner finally got back to me after a week of calling and emailing on my part. He told me that he was not going to do anything to rectify the situation. So - now I am stuck with having to pay a mechanic to take the defective hitch off my car to restore it to the same state it was in when I first took it to Rack Attack.

I had a 10:00 AM appointment on May 26th. Much to my surprise I arrived a couple minutes early. The highways were really busy. I read a lot of the reviews before choosing the Santa Monica Store. I live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona over 300 miles away. Let me tell you something, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Everyone in the store the store answered any questions that I ask them, no matter what I ask. Well the said that it would be about an hour to complete the installation. It was less than an hour even with them explaining how everything worked. THEY WERE ALL VERY PROFESSIONAL AND I THANK THEM .I them headed back to Havasu .I opened up the sunroof and I was amazed how it rode. Sorry to say that my phone went dead so there is no pictures. If you are looking for a roof rack and accessories for your vehicle GIVE THEM A CALL!! ONCE AGAIN GENTALMEN THANK YOU!!

Called ahead and the team at Rack Attack answered all my questions about bike racks (so many questions, thanks for your patience!). They had Kuat racks in stock which are very hard to come by. I ordered and prepaid over the phone for the rack and assembly. When I arrived at the appointed pick up time a few hours later the guys were so nice - took the time to mount it to my car and show me how to put my bike on the rack so it was perfectly secure. I recently purchased an electric bike and was overwhelmed with conflicting recommendations from people and websites. I contacted Rack Attack who gave me prompt excellent advice with well thought out reasons. This made purchasing the right bike rack for my car (Tesla model S) an easy decision. When I picked up the rack the staff was very friendly and offered to assist me in placing it on the hitch when it arrives. (From another place).I was extremely satisfied with Rack Attack.

Came in and placed an order for some roof racks and storage. They sold me the floor model, but apparently it had already been spoken for. Helped me track down another at one of their other locations and hooked me up. No runaround - just figured out how to get me what I wanted.

The Rack Attack guys were great. They have a price matching policy, so when REI put all of their Yakima and Thule roof racks/accessories on sale for the Fourth, I called Rack Attack, they confirmed the discounted prices and sent over an estimate for me to review and approve. One of the items I had approved was sold out, so they called me with a recommendation of an alternative that would fit my rack. I scheduled a time for the installation and was all set. Very easy and overall great service.

This place is the worst - avoid at all costs. Drive downtown, to the valley, southbay wherever, and save yourself a big headache. Here you see the trailer hitch they installed that hangs down a few inches from the ground (this hitch has a one star review on Amazon). When I asked for them to remove the hitch (forget a refund), the manager approached me aggressively and refused to remove it. So now were stuck driving around with this thing. Were going to u-haul (downtown) where they helped us identify the proper hitch, and will remove this faulty one at no extra cost.And if youre thinking of installing a roof rack, beware - they also tried to sell us one that did not fit properly (hung over the sides by several inches). And non-refundable!

I had a great series of experiences with Rack Attack in Santa Monica. Summary: if you need rack equipment and installation, head straight there!My experiences in chronological order were these:1. I called in to find out what parts I needed, and if they could do an install for me. Yes they had everything I needed for my Thule roof rack system, and yes they could do the install the next day. I spoke with Cody and he was patient (my questions were confusing because I had previously bought 2 of 3 parts I needed for a Thule system), knowledgeable, and set me up for 24 hours later install.2. I pulled in at the appointed time and they said give us about an hour for the install. Great, I walked across the street to the local Whole Foods to browse. 12 minutes later they called: your racks are ready. Wow, OK, short hour!3. They walked me through the install and told me they install per the Thule spec but I could move the rear bar farther back if I wanted to (the Thule spec width between the front and back bar of 27.5 looks absurdly close together on a normal car and is kind of ridiculous if you are carrying a longboard).4. I moved the bars myself, got nervous that I hadnt done it right, and drove back to Rack Attack for an unofficial checkout of my work. They looked, indeed found I had not screwed down tight enough, and told me how tight to screw in the bolt (you want to wait for the REALLY LOUD CLICK, not the really quiet clicks).5. I bought some roof rack pads while I was there, and again they were helpful to show me what they had on hand and I chose a set.Oh, and all of this takes place during the ongoing virus outbreak, which has to be the most challenging time to run and work in a store. They must only hire exceptionally friendly & helpful people.Head there now for your rack needs!

Diego and Luis from the Rack Attack in Los Angeles are fantastic! I had a bit of what I thought was a complicated set up for transporting my heavy kayak, but Diego and Luis did not hesitate to let me know that they could set up my rig without a problem. Not only did they set it up perfectly but it only took them 1 hour. I have now been using this set up on my SUV for a week now. I am so stoked! I bought two Yakima bicycle carriers at least ten years ago, and have moved the set over to new cars twice. Parts were needed both times, the staff had them in stock and made the transitions easy. I stopped in today for a few parts to keep these racks usable for another half year or so, and got great help once again! When I do get a new car, will be buying a new rack set at the Santa Monica location. Theyve always been great help and enthusiastic to help this cheapskate.

This past week, I decided to purchase a rack and travel carrier for my SUV and so I searched up car racks on Google and ran across a Rack Attack dealer near me. When Immy wife and I walked in, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome by the store team and it made us feel confident that our needs would be met based on what our requirements were, versus what they wanted to sell us. They showed us various rack options and once we settled on a rack, we were undecided between two Thule brand carriers. Since we opted to have our racks installed for us, the Rack Attack guys were able (and more than willing) to show us what each carrier would look like on our vehicle! After showing us both, we clearly liked the second one we were leaning towards. So it was a nice gesture for the store team members to do that for us and for that, we’re very appreciative and would definitely come back for any future needs! The guys at this place are awesome. One of my side covers for my Thule Aeroblades came flying off on the highway. I went down to the shop on Lincoln and they helped me out right away.They didnt have the left-side cover in stock so they just took the one off the display on the sales floor. They also matched the lock cylinder and installed it right there with the universal key. I was there less than 20 minutes and it was absolutely painless.These people are pros and clearly care about their customers. If youre in the market for some rack stuff, this place should be your first and only stop.

Had a great experience with Carlos: installation took 1 hr even though they had to try 2 different Racks (Thule and Yakima). At installation time, they noticed the rack was slightly obstructing the sunroof opening (by a hair, really) and they offered to reimburse me everything. I decided to keep the rack and I will try to work it out.I would go back to Rack Attack for their professional yet friendly approach.Highly recommended.Bernard
