I had the dyno shop flash my trucks computer back to stock for emissions.Very friendly bunch of people and did a great job!Highly recommended.They also have vehicle registration and smog testing all in the same spot!

The day before our vacation I realized the dash air on our motorhome was blowing warm air. After calling numerous shops that could not fit me in for a week or so, I called The DYNO SHOP. They got me in that morning, charged the system and I was out of there by noon. The air stayed ice cold the entire trip. The girls in the office were awesome. Dyno Shop saved our vacation. Thanks!

I had the engine in my 1967 classic El Camino R&R and rebuilt. I also had the trans R&R and replaced with an upgraded 4 speed auto trans.The work, fabrication and performance was above and beyond all my expectations.I would recommend Mark and his Dyno shop 100%

1 Of the worst places to get a smog! I would not even write if i actually got the smog but I didnt get a smog after spending $600.... And to get a referee referral you must spend $650... I took it in for a readiness check on ecu. ECU had codes they had to run a diagnostic check to find a broken spark plug. $200.... Then i had to do a n other readiness on computer. Another code which means another $200, i think it would have should up i the first test. Anyways its just another nickel and dime shop. A parts changer at best

Was able to drop the truck off on a Monday morning and they were done tuning it by Tuesday afternoon. Truck runs MUCH better than before, and he answered all my questions about the process. Worth looking into if you need some dyno tuning done.

Every repair you recommended was done. it took an extraordinary time to get the part for the front end and then the work was not done correctly. when i became a bit abrupt with nicole she said take the car somewhere else. the tack does not work now. so i am taking nicoles advice and taking the car to another repair facility.

Started using the Dynoshop in about 05, a guy at a nearby shop screwed up a rebuild on my C10, he installed a new crankshaft that ground down to nothing in a week. the Dyno shop did a fair,reasonable and a quality rebuild on the Chevy and I have been coming here ever since. and it is the only place i will take my vehicles now. and they do the registration and tags on everything I own from my Harley to my Dodge, Girls in the office and nice and funny too

After just purchasing a older model RV (87 Jamboree) I bought it in good condition but as a woman my knowledge of mechanics is limited so when pressing down on the gas as Im driving is not working I decided I have no choice but to take it to a shop and not only solve the problem but go down a check list and take care of everything at once. I did my own calculations with any information I could research online about RVs so I chose Dyno Shop it was not too far away and when I got the estimate it was quite accurate.Nicole was fabulous she eased my fears and kept me updated on the status and answered any questions or concerns I had. The over all work the mechanics did was awesome. Problems solved and were back in action thanks to Dyno Shop!Aug 2021Needed some minor attention to my engine. The guy doing the work said engine is in great shape. Thanks again Dyno Shop!!

I was able to get a transfer of title, new registration and moving permit done all in one swoop! Extremely helpful, provided good insight on concerns i had on a Audi a4. Decided to go further with smog ect. instead of the shop I regularly go to. Each staff member i spoke with was very polite and made me feel comfortable with any services I needed. Thank a bunch! I took my Alumicraft Sandcar to Mark for a Computer Retune- dyno. He found out the Computer was shorted I found the same Used Haltech. Mark installed it and found it was junk too. We had to jump ship and Replace Everything from Computer all the wiring 100% Mark did A Professional Job from day 1 and it came Back Better than before. If you have a tough job take you project there and Feel Confident its coming home perfect. Theres Not many people left with his Knowledge and i am a Very Satisfied Customer. Just wish there was a zero star option. These workers do not possess the knowledge to repair a vehicle. My poor Mom wasted $8,500 at this shop on her 85 Toyota and the truck STILL doesnt pass smog AFTER A COMPLETE ENGINE REBUILD. This company is a joke! 0/10 would never recommend. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I went in to get my registration done, and gave them the info I needed to have my car registration updated. They messed up and put the wrong address on my registration, and I asked if they could fix it. They said it was too late because they already processed it through the DMV and I would have to come back the next day to make a correction as they can only process it once per day. No problem. I completely understood. I came back the next day as instructed to get my registration info fixed. Instead of fixing it without hesitation when they made a mistake, they told me I would have to pay them another $30+ to file a change of address with the DMV plus $30 of labor of them taking 5 minutes and going into the computer and changing my address. I asked if they could comp the labor since they made a mistake the first time and I would cover the DMV fee. Mark the boss would only cover 1/2 of the labor because it was apparently MY FAULT that they put the wrong address. After threatening with bad reviews, he finally gave in to giving me a full comp on the labor just so I would go away. Instead of charging me for labor, they charged me $13 for what seemed to be a credit card processing fee because I didnt pay cash and then still had to pay for the $30+ DMV fees. After all is said and done, the next day I get a text from Mark (see pictures) asking how everything went with my visit. I respond No that my visit was not good and he was bold enough to respond with Your welcome. Great spelling Mark. Youre welcome for the 1 star review.

Needed a 1978 Chevy truck worked onCalled several shops and nobody would take because as I was told by the Chevy Dealer most mechanics were not even born when this truck came out. But he gave me the number of the Dyno Shop. Mark was super nice and he didnt hesitate to take. I would highly recommend this shopHe did all that was needed to get it up and running. They call and give you updates(I was in Illinois at the time) . Everyone I talked to was very nice and helpful. Thank you Mark!

My truck has smog issues for the time being. The Dyno Shop has been honest, respectful, and engaging, which is important for me as a Deaf individual. They are able to communicate with me and provide the details of how to pass the smog test. They replaced the CAT and several other parts - I am impressed with their service. I brought in my Saturn that had all of the lights out and Mark was so helpful and professional. He was able to change all of the lightbulbs in under 15 minutes and gave me a fair deal. Definitely will be back here for any vehicle needs !!

Mark and the guys did a great job replacing the timing chains on my Explorer. They did a oil change and tuned it up and got it running great. These guys know their stuff and are easy to deal with. Nice to find a mechanic you can trust. Ill definitely come back next time my truck needs work done.

I took my 1990 RV that was having issues with getting power to the starter in to get it fixed. The RV had a brand new starter and solenoid installed as well as 2 batteries (house and engine). It took them 1.25 hours to diagnose the problem which was the battery cable from the battery to the frame (ground) was bad so $152.00 just for them to look at the RV engine. You could tell just from opening the hood that the cables wires were exposed and frayed. They then proceeded to replace the cable and charge me another $290.00 for parts and labor. The cable is $32.00 so the labor was another 1.25 hours. The entire job set me back $384.20 after taxes. They were so generous to offer me a 3% discount if I paid in cash otherwise it would have been more.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I called 2 other repair shops to ask if this was a fair price and BOTH said that I was overcharged by $250-$300.00 dollars. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH...DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF.THEY HAVE LOST ALL OF MY BUSINESS AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT MY FRIENDS DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EITHER.This is a horrible way to treat a female who knows nothing about RVs. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I have given The Dyno Shop a review before but I felt the deserved a special review. I have had quite a bit of work done over two vehicles, 78 monte carlo and 07 Jeep Wrangler. Recently I had the Dyno Shop install a significant engine modification to my Jeep. After the install I drove the jeep to Laguna Hills for a suspension overhaul. Upon arrival to Laguna Hills I noticed smoke coming off the engine and turns out that an oil feed line from the engine upgrade was faulty from the manufacturer. I called Nicole and Mark and they agreed to send their tech up to Laguna Hills to replace the busted oil feed line free of charge. Mike drove up the next morning and had me ready to go first thing in the morning. The Dyno Shop isnt the cheapest shop around, but you cant beat that kind of customer service, and Ill pay extra to know that the install is quality and the shop stands behind it.Thanks again for everything.

Scam!!! Took my car there so I could drive it back home to MN and my home mechanic said they did nothing that what they charged me for. Wasted over $700 there and would not return my call because they knew what they did wrong! BE CAREFUL!!!

I have walked into many mechanic shops before and have been treated by less than a professional by most because I know nothing about cars. That is why when I walked into Dyno Shop I was treated as a valuable client and all of my questions were answered. The mechanic that test drove the car with me was amazing and he also made me feel like I can ask him questions all day long. He was happy to answer all of them. I will be back if I ever need any mechanical work again and I will be recommending others as well.

After having my toy car serviced by the same place in Austin TX for almost 20 years, it was time to bring her to San Diego. Asked several people before finding the right shop. From fixing big issues, such as the engine shut down at speed on I-15 (old hose connecting the air-mass sensor failed) to a simple exhaust welding repair, they are always available, at a convenient time for me and at a fair price. Hard not to like a team like that. I wrote it before: they will have my business for as long as I live in San Diego: couldnt be any happier.

Went to have my car registered. Fast service and reasonably priced, same day tags. Did not need smog but I understand they do it all. Will definitely recommend this service to others, much more convenient than suffering at the DMV.

Took my 2004 Civic to the Dyno Shop, and they guys there did a great job. They put in a new alternator and battery, tuned it, fixed a couple of other small but apparently important things (who new?)--and now it runs way good. The Dynoshop is a nice place: low-key, no-pressure, but get-stuff-done right. Next work my rig needs, Ill be back.

What is the shame in saying your unable to find my problem with vehicle. Here is your car back!!. No instead you have figured out a way to take five hundred hard earned dollars and send me down the road with my problem still exists. Great experience. Bought a truck from out of state. Took it straight to these guys to get it registered. They were very helpful and gave me detailed instructions on how to make sure I could pass smog. Friendly, personal. Once my plates were ready to be picked up I got a call.I’ll never wait at the DMV again if I don’t have to. I even considered doing a DYNO on my truck at a later date.

My truck was losing power on the hills, Dyno Shop seemed straight forward suggesting two possibilies. We took the conservative approach and reset the computer, just to get the same problem again within the next week. They fixed the problem for about $4000 by replacing the fuel pump but broke my power steering line and neglected to tell me. The steering was with clicks and the brakes were going out. They made me wait two days before fixing the problem they caused and was gracious to charge retail for the part they broke but not the labor, 7 drives later. The truck is still not working correctly. I spent approximately $5000 in a month and the truck is still in need of repair.

We were camping at Santee Lakes and needed our fridge fixed on our 5th wheel. After a call describing our problem, they had us come right over and were able to fix it on the spot-- and saved us a couple hundred dollars for a more complex and involved repair. Our fridge is used all the time and still works great! The repair guy was honest, friendly, and super helpful. Very knowledgeable about RVs. We will definitely return there if something else comes up!

These guys were very thorough in checking out my old RV, with many problems. I left it with them to do a diagnosis, and they had it for a few days. Apparently they spent a considerable amount of time on it, and let me know when I picked it up that I was getting a lot of free services. My limited budget wouldnt allow for the repairs, and I was only looking for diagnosis, so I was very glad to at least know what might be wrong with my rig. Ill do most of the recommended repairs myself. Whatever they did made a huge increase in gas mileage when I took it for a test drive into the mountains. No small feat, considering the mpg went from 5 to 8. Thanks!

I have a 2005 Safari Simba 30PDD and was referred by Rick’s RV as I was having an exhaust issue. I also wanted to get the chassis and generator oil change. I had regular communications with Brian. They knew what I wanted and after their evaluation they contacted me and sent me a DETAILED estimate. They made other suggestions to ensure my rig runs smoothly and without problems. Great customer service, even when delivering unexpected news. They deal in facts and not speculation which in this dayband age is refreshing! I look forward to continuing to do business with them!

Rob and Derek are always busy. This shop has a lot of vehicles coming and going. I took my 01 Durango there to get a new engine put in and they did a great job for me, my car was driving like new again. I was a tough time for me but they made sure that I was taken care of. I have also brought my Durango back several times since the engine to do suspension, climate control, sensors and a bunch of other stuff. I will always recommend them they do great work.

We were on vacation and just stopped in and they were able fix out motorhome at a very fair price. Excllent service.

While traveling in the area with our 34 foot motor home had to be towed to this shop as the engine would not turn over. We arrived about 4:30 that night, as the tow truck operator was unhooking his chains Alex was already under the rig trying to diagnose the problem. In short time a faulty starter was found and said they could pick one up first thing in the morning. At 8:15 the next morning a technician was under the rig with tools and part in hand. Went to breakfast and on our return to their shop, they called: ready to go-fantastic. Made it to the campground and later that day,as luck would have it, our towed vehicle began its temper tantrum with check engine light coming on. Took it into their shop the next morning and they took me right in and diagnosed the problems fixed it and got me back on the road in a timely manner. Thanks to Mark, Brian and their fantastic staff, if I break down again, I hope I can get it to this shop. I highly recommend their service to all in need

I continue to hear bad experiences years later.I took my ford 351-w to them for an engine build and dyno, they built the engine for over $10,000 and installed it, they dyno tuned it and it had piston slap, used 2 quarts of oil in 2 hours and they said they could not do anything to help. Tough luck they said, their mechanic who wants to remain nameless said they screwed me and said the engine should be fixed by them, however, their business ethics were not the best, he appologized but could not do anything and did not want to get fired.They worked on my 390 during the same period of time and it pinged the very next day after the dyno work and burnt a valve, again,they failed to take responsibility.Do not spend money at businesses that have bad ethics. Lucky i can afford to waste $10,000, however,, not everyone can.AVOID The Dyno Shop !!

I have a 1952 Chevypick up, I had sent here a few months back to have a new Edelbrock EFI tuned and Dynoed. After first talking to them, they told me it would be $500 for the project. When I went to pick it up they told me $750 and there was something wrong with the EFI, and that I had call Edelbrock have them bench test it and might send me a new one. Well I drove to Edelbrock and had the R&D guy up there bench test it, not only was there nothing wrong with the EFI, but The Dyno Shop had put so much fuel in the low end map it was running like crap and forced the pick up to stall multiple times while driving down the road. After being on the phone with Edelbrock for more than 10 total hours, he and I finally got the pick up drivable. With their lack of knowledge in tuning and their miscalculations in pricing, I recommend any where, but here.

I took my o3 srt4 neon to get a tune here, i provided my own device diablo in-tune. all i asked was to install the provided 93 octane tune that comes with the device into my car. being said i knew the car was going to run lean. so i gave them a air to fuel ratio number to shoot for 11.7 at wide open throttle provided i have a uego wideband gauge in my car. welp 2 days later i get the ok to pick up my vehicle on the way home did a pull or 2, turns out the thing was running way way to lean 12.4 afrs. get home plug the diablo to my car and check if they even adjusted fuel or timming and not a thing was touched, so basically they charged me four hours for installing the 93 tune which takes less then ten mins and maybe doing 1 pull on the dyno to show me gains. they also used my device on three other vehicles which is kinda bs. it just blows my mind that i told them what i wanted and they disregarded everything maybe thinking i didnt know a thing or 2 about tuning luckily i knew and understood this tune because this could have been a very costly fix for me

BROUGHT MY 6.0 DIESEL IN FOR A MISSING CYLINDER,THAY LISTED ME AS THE OUTATOWNER....SAID THAY GOT IT FIXED,WAS SMOKING AND MISSING..THAY SAID IT WILL CLEAR UP IN COUPLE DAYS....I GOT ABOUT 10 MILES AWAY AND A VALVE WENT THOUGH THE PISTON AND DISTROID THE HEAD..THEY PUT A CRACKED HEAD ON AND SENT ME ON MY WAY ABOUT A MONTH LATER...DROVE IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND THE OUTATOWNER HAD TO BRING MY TRUCK BACK FROM CHINO AFTER MY MACHANIC TOLD ME THERE WAS FUEL IN THE COOLING SYSTEM....(NO OFFER FOR TOW FROM THERE MISTAKE)...LEFT TRUCK THERE FOR ONE MONTH AND FINALY SENT ON MY WAY TO GET 50 MILES AWAY AND TRUCK STARTS MISSING. DROVE TO MY GUY IN CHINO FOR THEM TO TELL ME THAT THE DYNO SHOP PUT THE TURBO PIPE ON WRONG AND BURNED UP THE WIREING HARNESS...IT COST ME $1500 TO GET MY TRUCK GOING FROM DYNO SHOPS LACK OF KNOWING ABOUT DIESELS THAT THEY ADVERTIZE ABOUT BEING A BULLET PROOF SHOP...ALL I ASKED WAS FOR THEM TO PAY HALPH 750....THAY EVEN PUT THE WRONG COOLANT IN AND HAD TO BE FLUSHED.....ALL THAY WOULD SAY IS WE WILL GET BACK TO ME!!! WHITCH THAY NEVER DID....THE DYNO SHOP HAD MY TRUCK DOWN FOR TWO MONTHS BECAUSE THAY NEVER DID A COMPRESION TEST ON A DEAD CYLINDER.....THIS IS MY WORK TRUCK AND IT ALMOST PUT ME OUT OF BUISNESS BEING DOWN FOR TWO MONTHS....THAY ARE A DYNO SHP NOT A DIESEL SHOP!!!
