Best Buy Sarasota off Tamiami Trail has two excellent associates (Phil & Miles). Both of these individuals gave us the best customer service and left with everything we needed for our kitchen appliances. The Geek Squad came by today and installed most of the appliances. They were just pleasant and attentive to detail. Go by and see them, you will not be disappointed.

Dont shop here. Im never stepping foot in this horribly run store. Thanks for the refund when I said how many times I wanted an exchange. Well theyre goes 1400 bucks for a week while they process the refund. So another week without a computer. Awesome job!!!!

Dan in appliances was super helpful. We’ve been shopping washers and dryers and refrigerators for a couple months.With the pandemic, a lot of the delivery dates are pushed out a month and more.Dan even let us know that another store had the fridge we wanted in stock. I know corporate maybe wouldn’t want to hear that. But being in sales myself, Dan and I agree….keeping someone happy even if it’s not with you is the best way to get referrals.So I’ll refer everyone to see Dan…he’ll make sure you leave with what you need.

So I went there and searching these new ring cameras never had it before and wanted to know about them before I spent a good chunk of money... So the first girl in that actual section told me a little bit about them but not a whole lot was more like oh this is the ones you need lets go check out when I really wanted to know how they worked how hard it was going to be for me to use etc so I waited till she walked away and asked the next person that I saw and she said I know just who you need to talk to went and got this guy named Greg who went over them ins and outs on what you needed to know about it and at the end of it I spent $700 every time I have a question on something Ill probably ask for them,, just wished everybody was so willing to take a minute to explain as he was there

Don’t trust their open box items, I just bought a pc from them and it was rated that it was used but nothing is wrong with the functionality of the item. Come to find out that the hdmi and the usb-c port both don’t work. Asked geek squad about it as they said it was working before reselling it, they told me that it looks like it doesn’t work, might want to return it. Weird how apparently I had it for 12 hours and they blame me for it and they have no issues disregarding the fact that they say it works perfectly but clearly it does not. Thank you for crushing my week.

“1-2 hour wait” for screen replacement, 4 hours later. Red head lady at the Geek Squad counter factory reset my phone after we discussed over and over if it was going to be reset, I didn’t want any service and would take it to Apple. Traveled from St. petersburg specifically to replace the screen and not lose any photos/contacts, etc. Couldn’t even bother to apologize for her mistake.

Went to geek squad to see if they could do a diagnostic on my PC. They wouldnt touch it because it was purchased on Amazon. (Understandable) Next, my son asked if they could do a diagnostic on his oculus quest 2 and the agent said, yes, of course. Well, I went back to best buy the next day but to the port Charlotte location. The geek quad guys laughed at me. They dont fix oculus! Oy veeeey.

I recently purchased a new iPhone 12 Pro Max and set up new service with Verizon via Best Buy online. When I arrived at the store, an associate began to help me process and pick-up my phone. I believe his name was Eckner (my apologies if thats incorrect). Im here to tell you he was the most patient Salesperson Ive ever dealt with! He took his time and was very thorough with me. We were there right up until closing and I told him I would try to complete the set up on my own at home. He never once pushed me to leave. These types of experiences are what keep me going back to our Best Buy on Tamiami Trail in Sarasota! Thanks for such excellent customer service 👏!

We went there yesterday to look at purchasing a new car stereo, we had to go to front desk to get somebody to help us. They were too busy talking to each other to help us. The one guy that helped us was nice but didn’t know anything about the stereos or installation process. Said we should try another store. My wife bought a USB charger and the young girl was more worried about correcting my mask because it needed to go up another quarter inch on my nose. I had on my nose. I literally have nose sores from the mask. It’d be nice to get some (any)customer service without an attitude about the mask. I had it on my nose. Treating me like I’m five when I’m almost fifty. We have bought so many things from Best Buy. Very displeasing experience yesterday.

I like Best Buy but my last visit there i was looking for a phone case for GALAXY A20 5G and the 2 store associates i asked for help didnt know where the cases were and just said they were out of them. I found where the cases were. I was in a hurry and it would have been nice if the associates had made a true effort to help me. I know we all get tired and dont want to deal with another customer/client. I think it would be helpful if the staff were educated on the store layout and any changes to it. Still, I like the store.

I dont know if they are understaffed or operating poorly due to COVID, but my experience was unacceptable. Upon entering I was immediately told that if I needed help to stand under the balloons in the department, which was odd in itself but whatever right? After finding what I was looking for I did have some questions. But.. no balloons. So I went to the department next to that one which did have balloons. There were several unhappy looking people trying to social distance but stay in line under the balloons. While waiting in line, I learned that they had been there SEVERAL minutes without so much as an acknowledgment. The elderly lady in front of me was so frustrated and tired, I got out of line and helped her find what she needed. She was very grateful, made her purchase and left. Took about 15 minutes. Went back to the line, IT HADNT MOVED. So I decided screw it and went back to the department to take a pic of the item I wanted. While there assisted another elderly person who had questions but couldnt find an associate to talk to. Luckily I was familiar with what he was asking. SO 10 minutes later he had his product and I was out the door. Not only did I not get what I needed or any of my questions answered, I assisted 2 strangers because Best Buy employees werent available. Unacceptable. DO better Best Buy.

Hands down the worst Best Buy. Do not order online and expect to return the item that day. Apparently there is a layover time and the app that the company runs does not add up time wise to the store. Let me make this make more sense. So the obnoxious Nintendo switch wheels that are meant for Mario kart do not even work with the game properly so when I returned it after the 15 days only they wanted to issue me a store credit when it was purchased on my Best Buy card. So now my new purchase that I went to go pick up that I ordered under convenient app I can’t return it until now Monday so inconvenient so annoying I live nowhere near the obnoxious place and I don’t wanna return but unfortunately I have to go back makes makes no sense. Get a new manager. Worthless.

Nico and Cody took excellent care of me. I bought an Asus gaming laptop in April 2020 and yesterday February 26th 2021 I realize I didnt have the camera that I was supposed to get with the laptop. I went into Best buy wasnt sure if they were going to help me and they were great. They gave me a standalone camera and microphone that I can use with my laptop. I really couldnt expect them to swap out for another laptop because of the time that had passed but I was very grateful for the camera

The service in this store is a joke! It is totally unacceptable! I stood under the balloons in the department that I needed help in as instructed by the door greeter I stood there for 25 minutes not even one person asked if I needed help nor did any passing employee even make eye contact! I have been dealing with the Sarasota store and the UTC store for the past week and a half with a stereo installation in my daughters car and trying to get the proper parts for it. Nobody is ever around to help the customer. I dont understand how the store can still operate, I guess everybody is doing their shopping online. This store should be closed down and all of the lazy employees should be fired. What a disgrace! Best Buy should be ashamed of themselves.

I am always very disappointed in the customer service at this store. We are a tax exempt organization and we seem to ALWAYS have trouble making simple purchases and their system honoring our tax exemption on the state on all retail purchases. Today the rep continued to argue with me that my item was just not eligible for tax exemption.  I told her Best Buy doesnt determine whats eligible. The State does. She continued to debate with me so sure of what her register was telling her. Finally I emailed the tax exempt department at corporate and was told I needed to replace my card for a new one because they had changed their system. Yet my tax exempt status hadnt changed. Grrr. Anyhow, needless to say, the rep and all her arguing was just arrogant combativeness that was unnecessary and based on wrong information. I tried calling the store and was on hold for over 30 minutes just to speak to a manager. I tried calling back and was on hold 15 minutes before finally giving up.

At 6:30 am the parking lot was virtually empty. No one was online. No cars were waiting for curbside pick up. Young woman scanned my phone asked my name. She then was gone less than a minute and put it in my car. No red lights all the way home. Needed help from insignia for about 2 hours. They were very patient

Don’t ever ever ever ever ever buy from Best Buy. Anywhere in USA. If there is a problem with what you bought, they will put you through hell to get it replaced. Much of their merchandise likely seconds (failed test, refused by reputable retailers) bought but Best Buy at a discount. Sold us a lemon Apple airbook. I only gave this store 3 stars because I like Best Buy stores but this store is awful for service. We could not get an associate to help find a bluetooth speaker. You have to go stand under where the balloons are and wait your turn. One set of balloons didnt even have a sales person in the area. Meanwhile there was a sales person out front telling you to go stand under a balloon if you need help. He could have been inside helping customers. We just left the store after 30 minutes of no help.

I was charged for 3 phone transactions when I only purchased 1 which resulted in $3200 of unauthorized funds being held from my bank account for over a week. I called customer service who instructed me to file a report with my local sheriffs department, and that a supervisor would call me back, yet never did. I drove back to Best Buy near me to speak with a manager who happened to be very nice and proactive with helping me resolve this issue, but ultimately required me to file a dispute through my bank. Ive been reimbursed for 1 transaction, but the 2nd is still pending release.
