We just had exercise equipment installed at our home: an M3 Multi-Gym, bench and rack of dumbbells 5-50#, VR400 rowing machine and a Precor elliptical. All done expertly by Diego. I couldnt believe one man could do this by himself in an afternoon. He worked efficiently, and knew what he was doing. Highly recommended!

We purchased a recumbent Exercise Bike at First Place Fitness on Nov 20, 2020. The salesperson (Evan) was very friendly and knowledgeable. He kept us informed of the delivery and made certain that we heard from the delivery team regarding our delivery date. The delivery date and time was only a couple of days beyond the period promised initially (and I mean only 2 days). The delivery and assembly guys (Santiago and Diego) were friendly, worked neatly and provided some instructions (something you usually do not get from delivery people). We would definitely use First Place Fitness again! Thank you First Place Fitness!!!

We bought a Spirit elliptical from Evan at First Place Fitness and he was very knowledgeable and patient with my many questions. He helped us pick out the right elliptical for us. And the delivery and installation from Diego and Antonio couldnt have been better. They were very professional and polite. I would recommend using First Place Fitness.

The owner obviously didn’t listen to the recording prior to Taylor calling me about the negative review, which I found out they are not allowed to contact patrons about negative reviews. My advice would be to treat every customer as if they were going to give you a google review.I was contacted about this review by Taylor after I posted it and somehow it disappeared from their review platform? hmmmm.I should have read the reviews before I purchased. The treadmill I finally received is high quality, the Customer service staff is some of the poorest quality I have ever dealt with. From the sales person to the Head of the Delivery staff Taylor, The only highlight was the quality of the delivery crew and their professionalism and quality install.This is one of the most disorganized companies I have ever dealt with. Once I purchased my equipment, I was told that Taylor would call me when he got time to arrange my delivery. I waited a week and then finally called to see what the status was since they had already collected my 3500.00. When Taylor called back he stated I wasnt even on his radar for delivery, but since I called he would go ahead and put me on the schedule. I was scheduled for 2 weeks after that and waited for delivery. On deliver day, I called mid day to confirm my delivery since I had not received a confirmation call. When Taylor finally called back, he indicated they dont make confirmation calls and I just needed to wait. Literally ever one I spoke with at this company except the 2 delivery guys were just basically saying oh well, this is just the way we do it in our organization and I wont find anything better by going to another organization.

Purchased equipment and Diego was my installer who delivered my equipment. Diego was very professional, very neat and most importantly very polite as well as knowledgeable of the equipment he installed. I would highly recommend Diego for any of your installment needs.

HORRIBLE post-sale service from this company. Long wait time for the product and they treat you like some kind of nuisance if you call just to confirm status or get an ETA on your order.The sales person in Sarasota, Evan (who surprisingly has the exact same last name as one of the 5-star reviews... ?), promised a lot before I made the purchase of a Precor TRM 445 treadmill. He told me that my treadmill could possibly have been delivered as early as 2 weeks from the date of purchase. I thought that would have been just fine, even 3 or 4 weeks out would have been fine if he just told the truth up front. That ended up being horribly inaccurate since i didnt get my treadmill until 7 weeks later - and that was after calling FPF several times, not only in Sarasota but also the main location in Jacksonville, because I could not get an expected delivery date from anyone.The Sarasota location never returned voicemails or followed up on conversations. I was even hung up on TWICE by the same person. The second time he followed up after the disconnect via email, but only AFTER i called the main location to complain about it and they told me they would contact this location to inquire... In the email he told me that their phone systems had been having issues. That is an outright lie, I know he hung up because he could not give me an actual answer on when my treadmill would be delivered (or it was so far out that he didnt want to have that discussion). After speaking with Jacksonville FPF, who were somewhat helpful, they ended up calling the actual mfr and told me the console I purchased was on back order and would not be available until OCTOBER!! Of course that was never conveyed to me when I purchased it in early June. By some stroke of luck (or what I actually consider an error on their warehouse part) they happened to find the same console I purchased sitting in a locker at the warehouse. I would bet that was supposed to go to somebody else, not me.Another lie Evan gave me was that all of their delivery people are Precor certified installation experts. I thought it sounded a bit odd, and that is why I remember him saying it. When they finally came I asked the two gentlemen if they were certified and both said no. Nothing against the delivery guys but they were both very young and inexperienced (had only been doing the job for 6 months) with the older being 23. One explained that the certification process only requires that you watch a video... No big deal to me but a lie nonetheless. Also, after setting it up there was a rubbing noise which they told me would go away after a few days. Of course it didnt...I wasnt going to 1-star simply because I did ultimately get my treadmill with the proper console that I purchased (even if by mistake) 7 weeks after I purchased it. While it did come mostly in working order there was the rubbing noise, which i decided to call Precor direct myself because I felt that I could not trust FPF to help fix the problem promptly. Precor sent their own repairman and it is now working properly.Bottom line here is that any place could have sold me the same machine and could have done a better job with customer service, or at least they might have been up front and honest about availability of their products. Wont be shopping at this store again.

READ OTHERS REVIEWS AS WELL! They obviously have a customer service problem. Going on 6 months for an order that was to be 10 weeks and I still dont have any part of the order. I have made contact several times (both emails and by phone) and every time they promise to call back with an update and never do. All this and not one person has even said they are sorry for the delay!

It is so hard to find people who actually listen when you are trying to buy something. But my experience at First Place was very positive. Evan Grimes was very polite and listened to what rowing machine I wanted. I am elderly and needed something I could manage. Evan was not pushy and we tried all models. He was very patient with me. Please give Evan a chance to help you.

Don’t trust the competitor purchase price match after purchase! I provided proof both in person and by email and I have received ZERO response. I provided it a couple weeks after purchase and have followed up several times and no response. It’s been over 4 months later now since I requested the price match and they won’t respond.

My recumbent Spirit xBR95 arrived this morning, and Ive already logged a half-hour on it. Very pleased. Diego, who delivered it, was careful to put down blankets to protect my hard-wood floor, and he vacuumed so the exercise room was spotless when he left. Great service!!

Evan, our salesperson was exceptional. We couldnt have asked for a kinder, more knowledgeable person. Justin was very accommodating and understanding. We just had the delivery and wanted to thank Diego, Fredy, and Shaq. They were so respectful, hardworking, and very professional. The equipment was all set up as requested and they tested, adjusted, and explained things before leaving. They even cleaned/disinfected the equipment when they were all done and offered to vacuum any particles left on the floor from boxes. Much appreciation!

There are several locations for this company, but I would highly recommend this one!! Evan was my sales rep. He not only took the time answering my questions, but genuinely cared that I make a wise decision!!! Once I chose the treadmill I wanted, he followed up on the delivery. He made sure all went well, and that I was 100% satisfied. IT IS RARE THESE DAYS TO FIND SOMEONE WHO DEALS DAILY WITH CUSTOMERS YET TRULY CARES. I highly recommend that if you are looking to purchase any type of workout equipment, you should go to this store in Sarasota!!! Was in the market for a treadmill because we wanted to have the option to work out indoors when the weather is poor. Quality and service were very important. Looked at nordic track but didnt want Ifit and the warranty was not good.We wanted to actually look at and try out treadmills so we went to First Place Fitness. Expert sales staff helped with demos and info. Decided on a Matrix and their price was the lowest around.The delivery and set up were great. The 300lb box wasnt easy to move but the installers got it in our home and set up quickly. I am very pleased with both First Place and Matrix. Highly recommended.

I ordered 2 spin bikes 6 weeks ago. They have had my $2,500 since day one. I have left 8 messages and have had ZERO call backs to see where the bikes might be. NOBODY CALLS BACK. Even when I get through to a person they say they will check on them and get back to me. ZERO call backs. Terrible customer service.

Diego is the guy you need to ask for! He came back a day after the initial crew setup my equipment. He was extremely detailed, nice, and knowledgeable. He pointed out multiple areas that werent perfect and made them perfect. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy equipment!
