The whole experience from eye exam to picking out frames was excellent. The Entire staff is friendly and well informed ….Tiffany went beyond the call in customer service…she was engaging and helpful…we will definitely return because of her efforts…that being said I gave four stars because of the costs……too expensive and that’s with quality insurance coverage…Thanks again to Tiffany!
This location is AMAZING !!! Words cannot describe how amazing they are here. My glasses broke and Olivia was able to get me in for a same day appointment. I hope I’m getting her name right but Cat, the assistant has such a great, positive attitude. I bought my 6 year old to the appointment and they were great with keeping her busy and involving her in the visit. I would recommend them for any eye needs. I was able to get my frames ordered same day and they understood my budget needs. GO HERE. You will not regret it, I can go on and on about how great my experience was !!
COMPLETE turnaround at this location. We were close to leaving completely & doing business elsewhere but then a major change in management happened & it has been amazing ever since. Incredibly prompt & professional service from start to finish! THANK YOU!
Great service! Great healthcare! Please change the “Preferred Pronouns” section to just “Pronouns”The way it is currently worded, it as if you’re just entertaining our gender identities instead of respecting them.
Needed new glasses when my husband’s glasses were damaged in our house fire. Called Lens Crafters and not only did they get us in immediately on an emergency basis but gave us a friends and family huge discount and Kayla went above and beyond to repair my husband’s glasses so he could have them for work until his new glasses arrived. Thank you Kayla, Dr. Julian and the rest of the gang for providing great service and fabulous entertainment!!
I could not have scripted a better experience. Dr. Erickson, Cat and Olivia were top notch. They exceeded my expectations.Olivia and Cat went the extra mile and I was shocked by the amount that I saved.I highly recommend this location.
Dr. Erickson was great. New glasses came in and Rx is spot on. Tiffany helped me pick out the frames. She was very professional and helpful. Oh, and patient. Computer system was down and she got everything set up so I could confirm pricing and order when I got home. She called as promised and we placed the order with expected arrival to the store 10 days later, then additional days for shipping. No big deal, I wasnt in any hurry. The glasses arrived at my house 5 days ahead of when they were expected to arrive at the store. They fit and look great. Highly recommend this store from exam through glasses selection.
Tiffany at the Lens Crafters in the Wilton Mall in Saratoga is the absolute best eye care technician/sales person I have ever dealt with. She spent all the time that was needed with me to get my new prescription and glasses ordered. There were several insurance options and she went thru each one in major detail in order to get me the best deal. She was just terrific.
Great store and the staff was very friendly and attentive. They were able to help even though I didn’t purchase my glasses from the store. I was in and out less than 10 minutes.
I brought my glasses(non Lens Crafter) there to be repaired because the hinges were badly bent. The friendly person that helped me was named Olivia, and she was very careful and adept at fixing my glasses. They fit great afterwards. When I asked how much it would be, she said nothing. Very kind of them to provide such service.
Did an awesome job. Had patience with questions and I even had help choosing new frames.
Great service. Dr. Erickson was very knowledgeable and professional; Mark was very cool.
My purse with glasses in it was stolen at 2:00. I called LensCrafters at 2:30. As a repeat customer they had everything on file. The associate checked to see that my lens were in stock. They were. I appeared at the store at 3:00, picked out new frames and the frames were ready by 6:00. What a lifesaver!
The service was friendly and caring. All associates were attentive and made me feel welcomed. I never felt rushed. I would recommend this store to anyone who wants professional and accomodating service.
Excellent help for emergency repair. Thank you Kayla!
A bit costly, but worth the price. Having an appointment I was pushed through much quicker than I had anticipated. The staff was also amazing and fantastic in every way, and this is not an exaggeration at all!!! I had my doubts going to a chain optometry practice but those doubts are completely gone.
I needed my glasses repaired. This store went above and beyond to help me. Thanks
After three months and 4 pair of glasses. Nothing work. I was promised to have my benefits restored and full refund for glasses. But when I got to the store, not only they took my co pay but also the benefit for the exam which they make the claim with my insurance. Unbelievable... I talked to the corp office. They contacted the store. The store claimed that I have the correct prescription and that is why they kept my benefit claim and my co pay. Nice ... You would wonder if everything is correct why do I have to spend three months and 4 pair of glasses and finally have to give up on trying and let them kept my co pay as a token of appreciation. But I want my benefit to be restored. Let see what the insurance and their head office going say. Will update when they get back to me.UpdateContacted their customer care on the same day (used the link provided). Still have not hear anything back from them.I wish that I had read the reviews before going to the store. Its not the same Lenscrafters that I use to know.
Dr. Jain at Wilton LensCrafters is the absolute best, he is such an amazing individual who my family has been going to see for decades now - today I drove from a hour away just to specifically see Dr. Jain. I appreciate everyone at this location very much - great people! All visits to this location are always great experiences for me, though I must say this particular visit was especially great because of Tiffany - she was such a great help with deciding on which frames to choose and it seemed clear that she genuinely cares about helping others - she has an absolutely wonderful personality and great customer service qualities - I really believe she is a great asset to the team because she made my experience at Wilton LensCrafters even more fantastic than it always is!
Brought my prescription in to get new glasses. Staff were attentive to my every need and treated me with respect. The staff also made sure I got the most out of my discounts/savings. Overall a very pleasant experience
Amazing experience! The staff was very kind and helped me with everything.
$$$ frames, long wait and rude employees...Each time I have been there, my experience has gotten worse. I’m not sure why they have you book an appointment ahead of time when they do not abide by your time whatsoever, as each time I have been there, I was seen well past my scheduled time. However, the worst part for me was my most recent interaction there with the employees. I went in and told them I was just interested in potentially buying new frames/lenses and asked if I needed an appointment or not. The employee I spoke with was extremely condescending. When she asked if I needed an exam or not, I told her I was there a few months ago and already had my updated prescription so I was just looking to buy lenses, to which she responded so rudely by stating “well, if you let me finish what I was saying...” and “like I said...” in a super condescending way, as if I interrupted her and wasn’t responding to her question. Whatever. I then looked around for a bit as they said they would check on me in a few minutes or so, however no one came to help me and I was kept waiting. Eventually, a different rude employee asked me if I was all set. After maybe 1 minute of sitting down with her, they were of no help so I left. Not to mention that everything here is so unnecessarily expensive. With the lenses I needed and the frames I was looking at, it was upwards of $550, however I ordered them online from somewhere else later that night for $250. Do not waste your time.
Great in the beginning when taking your money for new glasses. Called to pick them up and associates are trying to make appointments because of covid-19, but not one customer was in the store? Also a little attitude. Might be policy but the correct response would be (we are a small store due to covid-19, we are trying to set appointments, but youre more than welcome to stop in there might be a short wait.) My advice just go anyway.
Olivia was awesome. Fixed my broken leg
It not right u have to wear mask if ur fully got both of ur shots very unfair numbers are gd
The doctor and technician where phenomenal and very friendly. The sales rep attempted to make me feel like a bad father for wanting to look around online for kids glasses. I ideally wanted to have multiple pairs that are less expensive, so if my 5 and 7 year old boys break them ( which they break a lot of things) it isnt going to be a huge issue. Sales rep told me that it would be very challenging to see if the glasses fit my kids properly and my kids would suffer for it. Very dissatisfied and will not be returning.
Absolutely horrible! Tried to turn me away for being a few minutes late, due to construction detour on the way. Waited over an hour to be seen and just felt like I was hassle for the employees
Dr. Gutmaker is the best and so is the staff. Always very friendly and knowledgeable.
Extremely aggravated with this location on two different occasions. They are not great with customer service and snippy over the phone. They need to learn time management and be better with guest experience. Also never answer the phone. It will ring for 3 minutes straight and disconnect. Picking up my contacts and never visiting this chain again.
They eye exam was great. The customer support after was not. I have been calling for two days and cant get anyone to answer the phone so I can get my script.
Super helpful and friendly staff!
Casey was our hero. My husband has an eye condition that requires a special remover for his contact. He lost it, and after trying several places, Casey went over and above to find one for him to use. Thank you Casey + LensCrafters!!
The people are very nice and i have no issues making appointments or receiving the correct items. thank you!
Im not sure why people post such negative reviews of this place. I have always been treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. The place is in a mall location so it has a lot of foot traffic and it is always extremely busy. I still get the epitome of customer service each and every time Im here. I think there are a few people who left reviews that expect to be catered to but they have to take some accountability for knowing what your own insurance is before making an appointment. And if you see that the place is full of people, have some understanding that you will be taken care of with the same laser focus attention that the customer before you is receiving. They have a wonderful staff, great assortment of frames and lenses to fit every lifestyle and budget. Dr. Jain has been my eye doctor for 17 years and he is wonderful. I trust him with my eyes and the vision care of my entire family. Its a shame that the reviews dont reflect the true experience you will receive at this location. There are certain staff there that go way beyond their job duties to satisfy customers and they dont make you feel like youre on an assembly line like other eyeglass locations. I only gave five stars because I couldnt give TEN!
Everyone who works here is very kind and professional even though they are clearly understaffed and stretched thin. This evening I was in a terrible mood, picking up my glasses, and was just trying to leave. Victor (Viktor? Vicktor? Nice bearded man), although busy, stopped me to fit my glasses and make sure everything was okay. They did in fact need adjusting. It was one of those times when a few kind words and a pleasant customer service experience can really turn your day around.
The staff there is amazing. So helpful and hard working.
Dr. Jain made a few adjustments in minutes that I have been living with, a contact lens fitting and power problem, for the past year having gone to a different Doctor in another business. My husband went to Dr. Jain first, a few weeks ago, and was very happy and so I followed. In conversation I told Dr Jain that I was a photographer and would love a little more sharpness in my vision although it wasnt the initial reason for my visit. He solved the issues within minutes, understanding exactly what I needed, and today, I woke up, popped my contacts in and WOW! He is a very nice guy too! Thanks to the staff and Dr. Jain.
The Optician Victor assisted me and he was wonderful. Very professional and friendly, made me feel welcome at the store. Made it so easy to order my contact lenses. Love going to Lenscrafters because the staff is amazing!
Had a great experience here. My glasses needed adjustment. The location was super easy to find. The staff members were very friendly and personable. They fixed and adjusted my glasses with no questions asked even though I came in late right before closing.
Very pleased with the service . Would highly recommend.
Slick sales people. I have great far away vision but need readers. Went in with my insurance and boy did they want to spend it. Quoted me $500 progressive lenses. For what? I never noticed an issue with distance. So I asked. Whats my far prescription. +1. And.... I just want readers. So they tried to convince me that I needed them, and needed all this other stuff. I just want readers. Asked for a copy of my eye exam... what does it say? 20/20. So yeah... trying to talk me into expensive stuff I dont need. No thanks.
The Lens Crafters in the Wilton mall was really busy when I went yesterday to pick out new frames and order lenses and contacts but the 3 employees working- Kat, Casey, and the optometrist Tiffany, were all extremely helpful and took the time to help me and make sure I picked out frames that I loved and got the most from my vision insurance and money. Will definitely be coming back when I need to! :)
Excellent service from the moment I walked in to checking out. Very friendly.
Just wish you took our insurance. Had to pay for exam. Couldnt pay that much for the glasses, so I had to go to vision works to get glasses. They take our insurance. Probably will have to go there for exam next year too. Unless you start taking our insurance.
The doctor was great with my son, but we waited over an hour to be called in and our appointment ended up breaking the two hour mark from our initial appointment. I had other appointments, and I let the staff here know I had another appointment and they continued to take other calls and leave me waiting. The lenses were exhorbitantly priced as well and if my son didnt need them urgently we would have walked away entirely. We were supposed to have another appointment to check on my sons eyes but this is not worth it. Never returning.
Ive always had a positive experience at this Lenscrafters and if you have Eyemed for insurance, this is the place to go! This is my third visit and I bought a full set of glasses and contacts. Yes they were busy, but it wasnt too crazy and they appear to be under-staffed. I went back for a contact insertion/removal and Cat did a great job of showing me how to use contacts. Everyone is always so nice there, just sometimes you need to be patient as they dont appear to have enough people working there.
I recently moved to Bolton Landing from NJ. The service in Saratoga met the same excellent standards I have grown accustomed to. Thank you so much!
Great Service and good selection of frames. The 40% off lenses sale is great for me because I have such a high prescription.
Wonderful customer service from everyone on staff.
Couldnt see properly through the lenses I received. Got the doctor to check my script, and they wanted to charge me for new lenses. Employee was completely unhelpful, unempathetic and completely seemed to forget their Happiness Guarantee.Lack of customer service. Filed a complaint, but corporate seems about as apathetic as the employee did.
Everytime we have gone there, there is always an issue. One lady cant even do her job correctly. Dealt with her couldnt get anything done or figure out the insurance. Then dealt with another gentleman named victor and he figured it out within 5 mins. He is great, I would really suggest him. Other ladies besides the one we dealt with were nice. Definitely going else where though, tired of the issues.
I waited over 2h for my appointment, no one up front told me they were running late. I hear them tell someone else it happened with in the last half hour (1h past my appointment) when I get back with tech it. Was an all day thing. Did not have my contact script adv me 5 days on day 7 now and welll it may have been on back order, they placed me on hold before my sentence was done. I really liked them as I was a return customer but after this I will no longer be a customer. A response was sent which was bs bro it me to some bull page. What a joke
Purchased contacts. They did not have them in stock. I was told they would be in 3-5 days. Week later, I called to check on status...associate told me she had to go back to the contact area and check for me. Never called me back. Called them 3 days later to be told they were still out of stock and that someone SHOULD have called me. Would be another 3-5 days. That was over a week ago. NEVER again!
Excellent service. Dr. Chambers was outstanding and really took the time to make sure everything was perfect (or at least as perfect as he could make my vision). I most definitely recommend LensCrafters!
So this evening my husband had a 5:30pm appointment at Lenscrafters in the wilton mall in Saratoga, we got stuck at almost every light and pulled into the parking lot at 5:33, they cancelled his appointment for being 3 minutes late because the dr was with someone else and would not have time, um....if my husbands app was at 5:30 why would he be with another customer at that time, and we called telling them we were stuck in traffic and would be a few minutes late. We called customer service and they told us appointments have a 15 minute window and they definitely should not have cancelled, especially since we called. So if you need glasses I highly do not reccomend going there. Their customer service is absolutely horrible, I wouldnt even score them 1 star, but I had to, to write this review
After the first few days of having my glasses, I was cleaning them and they got scratched. Then after that, a few days later they had scratches that almost looked like glue residue all over. I tried to clean them some more, but it just got worse and worse. Just a few days ago, I was cleaning them, and they clear snapped in half. I wasnt even applying a lot of pressure. I have never had glasses this awful before. Ever.I have played sports all my life, and wore glasses during games. No matter how many times I was hit in the face or my glasses falling off. I have never had them scratch or break ever. The only thing holding them together right not is KT - Tape. If I could give less than a star I would.
Very pleasant experience. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. The doctor was very informative and thorough.
I recently received a birthday offer from LensCrafters for sunglasses made to my prescription. The card said you had to spend $130.00 on frames. I found frames for $150.00 and thought I was good to go. Their were no disclaimers of any kind in the offer, but I was informed the lenses would be very thick due to my stigma. They had lenses that would be acceptable for an additional $207.00. This is clearly a bait and switch and again no disclaimers or conditions are listed on the offer. Watch out for similar offers! I emailed LensCrafters and received an auto response that I would be contacted the next day. So far no response, so much for contacting LensCrafters!
Friendly and helpful staff who were very patient and encouraging during my daughter’s contact lense insertion/removal training. Also, they discussed my insurance options to maximize my benefit usage.
Made an appointment online. Drove all the way there ( about 45 min drive) filled out the paperwork and handed it to the guy and he said Oh we dont take that insurance so the drive was for nothing. Would have been nice to know this ahead of time. They should have on their website what insurance companies they work with. Not happy at all
Friendly and knowledgeable staff!
I recently made an eye exam appointment at this location, as my contact lens prescription was expiring. After waiting over 45 minutes beyond my scheduled time (which was not a big deal--they were busy), I eventually saw the optometrist. He was an older gentleman, but very friendly. I explained that I was looking for a renewed prescription, so we went through the usual rigmarole of playing around with different magnifications. At this time, everything seemed to be fine.Once we were finished, we went into another room to try out some contact lenses. He asked me what I was currently wearing, and I told him. He said he wasnt a big fan of my current brand of contacts and suggested a different kind (I have no brand loyalty when it comes to contacts, so this wasnt an issue). When I tried on the new contacts, I could immediately tell that something was off. It felt overpowered, and while I could make out words in the distance, my near and middle vision seemed a bit blurred (for the record: I can read just fine without corrective lenses). When I mentioned this issue to the doctor, he said, Wow, you are sensitive. Ive been wearing contacts for over 20 years--I think I know when something is off.Anyway, he gave me a sample set and sent me on my way. The drive home was difficult. While I could see the distance, I couldnt even read the display in my car. My phone was blurry. My watch was blurry. My dogs face was blurry. I took out the contacts, put on my old glasses, and called back. The woman I spoke to on the phone (who, granted, is no optometrist) told me that sometimes new prescriptions will force me into wearing glasses for reading. I took issue with this, but I rescheduled for a follow-up.When I arrived for my follow-up, I saw a different optometrist. Immediately, she knew what the problem was. She said the person that was there before is no longer working here, and that he should have never given me those contacts. To make a long story short, when you have an eye prescription, you lower the power when you wear contacts because they are closer to your eyes. That was my problem. Simple fix by someone competent. The fact that someone so incompetent was allowed to examine my eyes at this location is unsettling. Incorrect prescriptions can damage eyes, and those who are wearing their first pair of glasses or contacts may not know better.Your vision is important. Dont let an incompetent mall optometrist destroy your vision. Beware this location.
Very disappointed with everything about the care and service provided. Incompetence from the time I walked through the door. Trying to over charge me lost my file and could fine previous visit information. Im taking my business elsewhere. Glasses are too expensive to waste time with these clowns.
I showed up to my appointment today, filled out the form and waited more than 45min and nobody talked to me or explained why I have to wait so long even if I made an appointment days ago.Very disappointing to see you treateating customers and their time with such disrespect.
Lens Crafters in Saratoga Springs, NY is my top pick for couple of reasons. The staff is beyond knowledgeable, but most of all punctual and progressional. I went into the store late Saturday morning without an appointment, and the staff was beyond phenomenal at accommodating my request. The store was set with four employees and within ten minutes of arrival I was greeted by 3 out of the 4 staff. The gentlemen handling the front counter was intelligent, kind and unbelievably straight forward. I had recently stepped on a pair of sunglasses and completely bent the hardware on one side. I did not purchase my glasses there, and the staff was able to give it there best shot. A few short hours after dropping, the front counter rep was able to completely rebuilt one side of the glasses, and line them up evenly. He wasn’t at the store when I picked up, but the manager greeted me within seconds of walking through the door, despite having a customer at her kiosk. They saved my Spanish sunglasses, which kept so many memories for me as they traveled with me abroad. I could not have been more thankful, and even better - there was no charge. This is how big corporations maintain there relevance today in such a competive marketplace. They at LensCrafters are able to provide excellent customer experiences, that go far beyond what’s in sight! To the staff, and especially the gentlemen who saved my glasses, I thank you so much. I will now be a LensCrafters customer for life!
I was in today on hopes of switching to contacts but the doctor, who never introduced himself, said I wouldnt like them and moved right along. Then I was kind of bullied into pick glasses from there and all that jazz. I couldnt find anything I liked in a decent price range and ended up picking a pair out if frustration. TLDR the doctor was rude and Im getting glasses or contacts elsewhere.
I came here today, 11/29 for an eye exam and to get a new pair of glasses. I havent had an eye exam or new lenses in over 2 years, and I was only back in Saratoga for a short time to see family. I have an eye doctor in Glens Falls, but given my limited window I figured itd be faster to just get squeezed in at LensCrafters. I have vision insurance, so I figured it didnt matter where I was seen, right? Wrong! My first warning should have been when I gave them all of my insurance info and one of the ladies working there pulled it up and said I was ineligible for an eye exam. How could that be, when my benefit with VSP (one of the biggest if not THE biggest vision insurance provider) is a yearly exam and I hadnt had one in over 2 years? Finally after waiting over 20 minutes past my appointment time (I arrived 10 minutes early so theres really no excuse for that), they miraculously figured it out and I was seen by Dr. Cowie. Dr. Cowie is a gem - a really funny and intelligent doctor, who takes care of business quickly and really gets to know you as a patient. Hes really the only good thing about this place. After my exam was over, I went out to look at frames for my new lenses he prescribed. With VSP, I get a $120 frame allowance with a small co-pay for any lenses I need. I picked a pair of glasses that cost $139, and expected to pay the remainder out of pocket. After another 30 minutes of waiting as apparently there is only 1 optician working on a Sunday and 2 other staff besides her, the optician finally came over to do my measurements and to ring up our total. She tells us (my mother was with me and is the holder of the insurance policy) that it would cost $135. How could that be, we said, when we have a $120 frame allowance? The optician started spewing off all kinds of confusing things about how They didnt used to take VSP, but now they do, and they are in some kind of open access plan where they dont have to follow your insurance benefits but they will try to get you as close to your in-network benefit as possible. Baloney! The discount they were giving us was not even 50% of our in-network benefit. Luckily the eye exam was free or we wouldnt have paid them one penny for it anyway. We are going to call VSP tomorrow ourselves to find out how in the world a provider can pick and choose what they want to accept from your insurance and then bill you for the rest. Im taking my prescription to my old optometrist to get new glasses there like I should have in the first place - they honor what your insurance benefit ACTUALLY is, not what they feel like accepting, and I wont have to wait over an hour to get everything done. Unless you are a self-pay patient, I would avoid LensCrafters.
A topical eye exam WRONG. If you charish your eyes, spend a little more and see a optrican, or eye Dr. Lenscrafters is a Waste of time and MONEY. 10-29-16.
Always slow. First time visiting it took us four hours just to get an exam.Second time chance - took over a hour just to pick up. Seriously get it together.
Their automatic line does not work, it just keeps looping.
Selection is lame and over priced
Best management & staff.
