Cute coffee shop right across from the cathedral! I got the peach cobbler waffle and it was delicious. Just like eating pie so it might be too sugary for some. Iced coffee was also great and I love that they use agave straws! It was kind of an awkward set up where you order as the cashier is hidden behind a huge brick column and there was no distinct line of who was ordering or waiting for their food since it’s a small space. But overall great experience and friendly service. Love the bistro seating outside and cozy seating inside.
Staff was very kind and patient when they informed us wait time was 20-30 minutes for food and coffee. We waited maybe 15 minutes tops! Food and drink was delicious… Seating was limited but it forced my boyfriend and I to take a walk down the road to the square and there was plenty of seating there. Overall amazing experience, can’t wait to come back!
Stopped here for coffee one day and food the next! Its so cute! The liege waffle with powdered sugar was delicious! We also tried the Breakfast Sammie sandwich and it was so good, looked like it had been pressed in a panini maker and the chives in the egg were a nice touch. (Ate it too fast to get a photo!)You cant go wrong here! Would be back very often if we lived closer!
Very cute spot, seems to be popular for kids at a nearby school for break? Staff was meh. Maybe if youre a regular they might be more warmer as I noticed who the regulars were. I was actually enjoying my drink and waffle when I noticed a hair in my food. I tried to pull it off thinking it maybe mine but it was embedded in the waffle. I didnt feel the staff would do anything so I just stopped eating and left.
I saw the menu and was extremely disappointed in the fact that they changed it, no fresh fruit on anything and they apogized that they ran out of whipped cream, how do you run out of whipped cream at 8:30 in the morning. The grill needed cleaning badly as you can see from the charred black bits left in the container but the waffle was covered in it too. I can understand being understaffed, but unprepared and with dirty equipment is unacceptable. For the price, you are better off at an IHOP. I took my son and father in law here intending to give them a real treat and it was far lacking in every area I hoped for. Menu should be fixed and better standards of cleanliness.
Best BreakfastSo we discovered this amazing cafe shop just minutes before our trip back home! I ordered the Ricotta Toast and my husband had the Grilled Cheese. The Ricotta Toast was the best waffle I ever had and all the ingredients was fresh and homemade. My husband was satisfied with his Panini style grill cheese and agreed it was the best! The drinks were also delicious:)So Delicious!
The breakfast Sammie was one of the most amazing sandwiches Ive ever had, the flavors were fantastic. Coffee was delicious. Sitting in the adorable chairs under the trees was so relaxing. Staff were quick and efficient. They also have carbonated water available alongside regular water, which was just that extra little touch that I really appreciate. Wonderful place and well be back!
We got the lemon zinger waffle, a grilled cheese, and a strawberry mint lemonade and were blown away. The waffle was AMAZING, so zesty and the raspberry complimented it so well. The first bite literally left me breathless. I’m not a lemonade person but it was one of the best lemonades I’ve ever had - so delicious! And the grilled cheese was just a classic grilled cheese, very good. And with the cathedral view too!! Such an amazing experience.
This place was more than just one of the best waffles Ive ever had, it was honestly an entire experience. The coziness of the cottage-like building, the view of the stunning cathedral right outside the window, and the quaint decor all tied into the perfect little place. Not to mention that my gluten free lemon waffle was to DIE for.
Top 5 favorite waffles I ever had! I tried the peach cobbler waffle and it was amazing! The picture doesn’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful little shop across from St. John’s Cathedral, beautiful ambiance and delicious food! We also had their iced coffee and and iced chai latte and paninis, they were delicious too!
Belgian liege waffles sold here! Made with Pearl sugar and best eaten fresh off the waffle iron. I personally feel they would benefit from more Pearl sugar when ordered plain. However they have lots of options for toppings which probably makes up for that...They have a couple great indoor seating areas, as well as outdoor seating. There is a large selection of chocolate and coffee beverages available as well. The to go containers are compostable.
My boyfriend and I had coffee here each morning we spent in Savannah. It was right across from St. John the Baptist Cathedral and it had outdoor seating that offered a view of the basilica and Lafayette square. The coffee selection itself was amazing and I highly recommend the specialty coffees and teas (I ordered a different one each morning and they were all unique and delicious). One morning we even had one of their waffles, it was whichever one that was lemon and raspberry and it was phenomenal! Definitely a good early morning spot.
One of the best Croque de Monsieur I have ever eaten. My wife and I are on our honeymoon and are wanting to try many restaurants out but we will have to come back to Mirabelle for more!
Best waffles I’ve ever had. Great crunchy exterior and soft chewy interior. Doesn’t get much better! Also the chocolate selection was out of this world. Got a white chocolate bar from Middle East and my wife for an Italian one that did not last long! I can’t wait to go back!
This place was absolutely incredible!!! We had 3 different types of waffles (two salty and one sweet) and they were all delicious!!!The coffee was absolutely outstanding also!!!Probably the best coffee Ive had in the United States! Period!Being Italian, I really struggle finding good coffee and thats exactly what I was able to find here!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Absolutely great. Highly recommend the Croque Monsieur. I rarely like to visit the same place twice when I visit a city, I made an exception for this place. Definitely worth it.
We stopped Im here because the cathedral wasnt open yet. This little hole in the wall we the cutest place. Also the coffee and tea tasted really great. The guy working at the counter was nice. I definitely recommend.
A cute little spot right across from St. Johns. Kinda busy on weekends with church traffic but a really nice spot for people watching. Will have to come back soon to try out the waffles that they are known for. For coffee I went with a pour over. It was strong and tasty. Seems like they used a darker roast that ended up being pretty mellow. Give this place a look if youre on the area.
Love this place. I travel to Savannah a few times each year and we make it a point to eat breakfast there. Its in the heart of historic Savannah and there waffles are to die for. Service was wonderful! Looking forward to our next visit!
One of the best waffles Ive ever had. I got the Peach Cobbler Waffle with a drink of Kombucha and I truly cant stop thinking about it. Employees were super friendly and the food/ vibes were great. Plus- awesome view of the Cathedral across the street.
Sublime waffles! I had the Croque Monsieur and it was delightful. The tea was excellent too!
Great coffee. Right across from the Cathedral. Order the ricotta toast waffle. It was so delicious! Best coffee I’ve had on our trip here in Savannah!
I got the peach waffle, chai tea, & grill cheese. Everything was delish except the grill cheese. It had great flavor but was hard as a brick. Hard to chew. Ended up in the trash. Would most def go back just for waffles & tea though.
Small place with variety of types and some food also. Prices reasonable. Indoor and outside seating. Inside has charging stations for Peter or phone.
Pretty cafe directly across the street from St Johns cathedral. Friendly service and delicious coffee!
Pretty good place to get a quick meal. Area is pretty nice and historic as well which I enjoyed.
Yessss! I would eat these waffles every day of my life if I could. Ordered the “ricotta toast” (which is a waffle), and enjoyed every bite! The weekend line was insane, but the weekday situation is much more reasonable.
Such a cute place! Waffles were very good. Highly recommend.
We were visiting Savannah for only a couple hours, and Im very glad we chose this place for coffee! The waffles were so good! I recommend their lavender iced latte. Also, they had a huge selection of dark chocolate bars for sale!
I had the tacchino sandwich and a strawberry mint lemonade. Super good! Seriously, the sandwich was perfect. The dining area is a little seat yourself bar or outdoor, nothing special. But the food was 100%.
This is a small unexpected find. On the weekends they make gluten-free dairy free waffles that are beyond incredible. We had 2 waffles…s’mores and peach waffles. They also had macadamia nut milk for the lattes. A very nice change from oat/almond dairy alternatives.Absolutely incredible.
Waffle was amazing. Service was ok Tables were dirty. BEWARE they said themselves they run out of menu items regularly so if you want something in particular call ahead or go early they were out of both of my choices. When I went they really needed to update their online menus cuz they were not current and majority was no longer available. A little expense for the small portion but definitely amazing quality product.
Super cute little coffee shop. Belgian waffles are delicious- the peach was our favorite! They sell great chocolates as well!
I have been here a few times. The waffles are amazing and the coffee is wonderful. I enjoy drinking and eating at the square nearby. The scenery and view of St. John’s makes the visit unforgettable.
Amazing breakfast sammie and waffles! Great coffee, yummy iced tea. Cute, cozy place. Will come back!
Excellent waffles. Very disappointing that gluten free options are only available on weekends.
I love having a double espresso in the afternoon. After stopping at the church across the street, walked in here and WOW was it delicious. Really smooth espresso!
Seriously, best tasting coffee I ever had, it was because of the chocolate . I ordered a chocolate latte, they sell a bunch of chocolate from all over, so getting a chocolate flavored coffee is the way to go!
This is the most beautiful, delicious cafe in Savannah. The baristas were kind (and funny!) and they contributed to a very relaxed, chill atmosphere. As a long-time barista, I can honestly say that was one of the best lattes I ever had! The vibes were impeccable 😍
So I have to say the customer service wasn’t as good as I would have expected but the food makes up for it. The tea isn’t as sweet as I’d like either but they can add more syrup. The sandwiches and waffles are out of this world. I loved mine and would go back just for the waffle. We had the s’mores waffle and it was amazing!
Peach cobbler waffle is fantastic. Will definitely recommend to people who visit the area.
Delicious iced oat milk latter with vanilla. Omg perfect!
We had the Fluffernutter (peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, sprinkles)- so sweet but delicious. We saved half for later because it was so rich. We also ordered the Georgia peach which has lots of butter, cinnamon-sugar, and peach slices. Warm and perfect for Georgia. Everything is delicious. Very nice and recommend
Cold brew taste like sweet tea its so weak. Waffles are tiny but taste fine.
Lovely place! Got the lemon waffle, it was superb, the lemon curd very well done. Small, tastefully decorated, very pleasant staff. I would eat here again!
Good little coffee shop with really delicious peach cobbler! Fyi they are cashless
Such an adorable place. Food was amazing
A charming little shop that fits perfectly in Savannah. The coffee and chocolate both are unique. Also they accommodate for dietary needs such as almond and oatmilk.
This is a very cute shop and the staff were very friendly. It was a little disappointing that I specifically asked to not use a to go cup but got one anyway (trying to not be as wasteful) and the waffle wasn’t warmed up. The cappuccino was delicious, though. It wasn’t overly crowded so I would definitely go here again and despite what other reviews say, I don’t think the prices were outrageous. The menu and prices are very easy to find ahead of time online and the prices are very clearly displayed so you know what you’ll be paying before you order.
Didnt know that they didnt take cash. They messed up our order. Overly priced for such a small portion of food. Vey cramped on indoor seating. You have to pick up youre own food. Make sure to secure seating before you order at counter. We wont be back. And thats the reaponse we get from the owner! Wasnt blaming the building jerk!
The BEST iced tea around! And the waffles are sooooo good! Not much seating tho.
Great little local cafe. We grabbed a few different items for breakfast and sat outside across from the cathedral and enjoyed the morning. The waffles were great and we got excited and tried the fresh made muffin and strawberry croissant which were also fantastic. Talked with the workers a bit and they were super nice. Overall a great relaxing breakfast.
Super friendly service. Very cute little cafe with tasty bites and a beautiful view of St. John’s cathedral across the street. We had the croque monsieur, which was cheesy and almost peppery, but so delicious. We also had the peach cobbler waffle which was to DIE FOR! I could eat it everyday. The drinks were also delicious. Matcha latte was yummy and the latte art was so pretty i almost didn’t want to drink it.
Had a great waffle but we showed up at a bad time, and the church crowd flooded in right before we got their. The area inside is way to small but they have a speaker outside so you can hear your name called while waiting there.
Very cute little cafe! Not much for food but good coffee choices.
The Waffels are fantastic. I had a classic waffle (with coffee).Waffles are advertised as being Waffle from Liège (Belgium) and its TRUE.Im coming from Liège, Belgium and I was so surprised to find in these Waffles the typical taste from the original recipe. The texture is identical even the small chunks of sugar are there 😀Congratulations (Je vous félicite)
The eggs on the sandwhiches are prepared in a way that makes them taste kind of bad, but the drinks are great and the atmosphere is nice.
As we found ourselves on the way to Charlotte and night coming on we had a brief interlude in Savannah. Looking for a coffee shop near Forsythe Park we happened upon Mirabelle. The coffee outstanding. The creative genius of Ryans chicken and waffles Canadian style super scrumptious. Make this your place for coffee and so much more!
We have to come to Mirabelle whenever we are in Savannah. The best waffles Ive ever eaten AND the breakfast sandwich panini is delicious. Beautiful spot next to the Cathedral.
Best waffle Ive ever had! Coffee was exceptional!
Very delicious coffee and waffles. I got the lemon zinger waffle and an iced café miel while my partner got the peach cobbler waffle and a hot salted mocha. We also got a couple of fancy chocolate bars.Pros: everything was tasty, they have oatmilk (oatly at that!), and the service was pretty quickCons: cash only, for like $12 you get a single waffle, and very limited inside seating
Omg we found this place after visiting Saint John the Baptist church (which was beautiful) as we walked across the street and spotted people coming out of this little house with food. We ordered and wondered how the food would taste as it was different than most other places we ate at. I had the classic waffle (plain with powder sugar) my husband had the s’mores waffle. It was the best waffle we have ever eaten. I would recommend everyone who visits Savannah to try this place out.
The waffles are to die for! It’s like eating desert! The coffee is delicious and the vibe is super cute. I will be back!
10 out of 10! I went on my birthday and enjoyed a cookie, a peach cobbler waffle, and a specialty coffee. Such friendly and down to earth people. I will most certainly be back!
Terrible ownership that constantly undermines their employees, underpays their employees and is horrible at communication. Amazing waffles though.
Great coffee, awesome location across from the St. Johns the Baptist Cathedral, & friendly, efficient staff!
The coffee was good, but prepare for a ridiculously long wait. They weren’t even that busy and it took them 20m to make two drinks! I want to support local businesses wherever I go, but I hate it when places like this make it so hard. I am not asking for perfection, but a little bit of efficiency would be nice.
Amazing little cafe with a very impressive menu, we loved everything we ordered there. These waffles were some of the best weve ever tasted, and I feel like this was a hidden gem, since we fumbled upon it on our way to the Cathedral and had no idea how good this place was. Photo was taken back in Aug 18, and we will be coming back this August to Savannah and we will definitely be eating here again! 5/5 stars, you must try their waffles, sweet tea and coffee!
This place is super cute and couldnt be in a better location! I had a hot chocolate with oat milk (thank you for the dairy free option!) and a shot of peppermint syrup for a festive vibe. I only wish the menu was a bit bigger. I wasnt in the mood for waffles and the sandwich I wanted wasnt available. No worries though, my drink was perfect and the decor was really lovely.
Charming & compact, this little neighborhood coffee house located on Abercorn St offers a fine selection of coffee, tea and pastries. This establishment is located in a restored row house across from St. Johns Cathedral and has modest bar & table seating for its patrons. I found the cream & sugar located awkwardly on cashier/service counter. Yet right around a corner, in a more accessible/workable nook, were plain & sparkling water dispensers where the cream & sugar could sit, allowing patrons the ability to flavor their drinks. If you like sugar in your coffee, you wont find any at mirabelle, as they offer only a liquid version.(???).I assume to curtail the labor involved to man the little cream/sugar stations typically found in most coffee shops. A little offputting, considering the 6-8 oz.smaller sized drinks priced at regularly sized 14-16oz. prices. But why complain, as the baristas serving act as if its your privilege to be allowed to soak up the atmosphere in yet another boutique coffee house. Oh yarn... Really??? Give me a break, & while youre at it, my espresso machine, steamed milk & turbinado sugar!
The perfect waffle. And that strawberry syrup is so good.
Everything Ive eaten here has been consistently wonderful. I crave the lemon zest waffle constantly.
This coffee shop and breakfast spot was very pleasant, inside and out. The covid traffic pattern inside was clearly marked on the floor, the menu is conveniently posted at the register for your ordering convenience, and pickups happen at the other end of the main counter. We sat outside at a little bistro size table and enjoyed our iced vanilla oatmilk late, hot macadamia milk mocha, Croque Monsieur (Black Forest Ham, Melted Swiss Cheese, Gluten Free Béchamel), and a Breakfast Sammie (Scrambled Eggs, Chives, Applewood Bacon, Cheddar, Harissa Tomato Jam, Pressed on Sourdough). Servings sizes were great to carry us well through our morning.Street parking might be tight during the week but we were just passing through on a Saturday morning and had no trouble finding a spot.I hope this helps!
