Unexpectedly, there is Leopold at the airport. The other one I tried before took a long time to line up. This one can be bought very quickly, and the taste is as good as always. I think this should be a must place for tourists.

Leopolds Ice Cream in the Savanha GA airport was the best ice cream I.have ever had. Let me tell you I am an ice cream connoisseur.They have been in business since 1912, and only have one other store outside of this airport store in Savanah.

DO NOT CHOOSE COLD STONE CREAMERY for Butter Pecan if youre picky and precise on the flavor, texture and taste of the salty pecans along with the color and flavor of the ice cream. Youll hate Cold Stones version. I assume the one I had in Jacksonville Florida is the norm all over. Pecans is a mix in and CRUSHED. Also the Butter Pecan Ice Cream is way darker, like tan and too buttery or richer and over powering. Just not great. You want the bigger pecans pieces and the light colored ice cream and pecans throughout and not bits. I had 3 scoops and could only eat 3 bites. Went to Bsskin Robins for a single scoop and was like YEP this is it. That Ice Cream didnt stand a chance. So THUMBs Wayyyyy UP for Baskin Robins, Ben & Jerrys and MOST OF ALL Leopolds Ice Cream in EVERY SAVANNAH GA LOCATION!!!!

Grabbed a scoop of banana while I was waiting for my sisters plane to take off. Justin was super sweet and validated my parking to boot. Tipped him well, super polite and great service.

I think the reputation of this ice cream place will continue to exist and grow because of how good their selections are. The location is very easy to find as well. One thing that concerns me is the parking. This place is situated in the heart of downtown Savannah and during busy hours, its a pain to find a parking space. Although, personally, I prefer parking near the river and walk your way to this place.

Wasnt open when we arrived, but the guy emerged wearing a flat bill hat, turned on some lights, and then groomed himself in the room off to the right while customers were waiting. He wasnt very friendly either. No sorry for the wait, no greeting, no smile. Definitely not like the other Leopolds where people enjoy what they do. Service was alright despite his lack of enthusiasm for the job.

Left the long line in Savannah and hit airport location. Chocolate ice cream was amazing. It melted in my mouth and the flavor was perfect.
