The decor is definitely outdated but its part of the theme. The plate ware certainly was a blast from the past, it felt like being back at my grandmothers or great aunts for Sunday dinner seeing those plates. The service was wonderful, our server Leonard was very attentive and took great care of us. He was great at answering any of our questions as well. Our food came out fairly quickly considering my husband got the baked haddock, well worth the wait! The haddock was topped with Ritz cracker and my husband said it was amazing. My lobster roll was the size of my forearm which I did not expect, usually the lobster rolls Ive had are much smaller. It was warm, the bun was toasted and buttered perfectly. The lobster was delicious and flaky, not at all chewy. Leonard went above and beyond and got me some lemon for my roll as well which I really appreciated. The pickles there were also really delicious, nice crunch and a little sour. The coleslaw was tasty and not soggy. We will definitely be making this a regular stop for us anytime we are in Maine!

The waitress had a smile on her face when she greeted us. Very clean place and the food was delicious. I had the chicken sandwich with the fries. Had to finish it off a brownie Sunday mmmm good.

An unfortunate let down. My wife and I had thought of trying this place for sometime as we are season pass holders for funtown/splashing. So we brought the family after a Halloween thing in the area. The dream was better lol. The service from the hostess was completely unenthused, waitstaff lackluster, and they got 3 of 5 meals wrong. Missing ingredients, burnt meat, literally cold 🥶 fries that were asked to be triple crispy. The gamut. Worste dining experience in yrs. Sry to burst anyones bubble.

Drove from seacoast NH as we have been there before and loved it! I have a well trained service dog. They wouldnt let her sit next to me. She is trained to sit next to me at all times. Left there and went to the Maine Diner and had a great meal!!!! And they welcomed my service dog!! And the waitress was so rude here....

Just had breakfast there this morning. Bonnie was our server and she made our visit a pleasant one. We had simple meals, but delicious. The sausage patties are to die for and they came recommended by Bonnie. A delightful place and less than a mile’s walk from our B&B. Check it out! You’ll be glad you did.

This place is a gem, my wife and I were so surprised at how good the food was. Now we go on a weekly basis. Sometimes you have to wait a little due to Covid restrictions but its not long and they give you a pager to inform you of your opening. They also have outdoor seating. Oh, and great desserts too!

Food and service were amazing. We ordered the turkey dinner and the haddock and shrimp meal. Portions were large and we probably shouldnt have ordered the milkshakes but they were so yummy. Our waitress was Fiona who was amazing!

Return visit. Decent meal, friendly service. Music cut out -being ambience it was noticeable-- overall we were glad for our second visit.

Love this little diner close to home. The hostess is always so welcoming and friendly! She takes extra care to assure safety measures are in place and adhered to during this pandemic. Our server, Destiny, was pleasant, friendly, and thorough. She did a great job. My husband and I enjoyed the dinner rolls. I ordered the surf and turf. The steak was cooked perfectly and my lobster portion was very generous with drawn butter. My husband had the lobster roll. It was also a generous portion with fresh bread lightly toasted. Just the right amount of mayonnaise. He enjoyed the strawberry shortcake for dessert and said it was delicious. Look forward to another visit soon.

Brought my family for a nice breakfast, before our table was ready this older man came out YELLING & SCREAMING at me to wait outside.WOW! I could not believe this man actually worked at at this diner. I told him he was being extremely rude. He replied I am the owner!!My children were so upset, of course we decided to bring our business elsewhere.I do truly hope this man treats his employees and patrons with respect.Will never stop at this place again!

Second time visiting here and enjoyed this blast from the past two. Food and service was good and the setting perfect. Although I wasnt around in the 50s I feel this is pretty authentic. It wasnt hard to imagine Elvis walking through the doors. Will be back again and really enjoyed my burger.

We just left after getting yelled at by a man who loudly told us to go to our cars while waiting for our table. No one said we couldn’t wait inside or we would have gone to our car when we first got our pager 15 minutes prior. There is absolutely no reason to be rude and treat what would have been a paying customer that way. Quickly reading these reviews I see someone had a similar experience a week ago. Horrible customer service and I won’t give my business to a place that treads customers that way. The food must be really good to keep it busy like that because it’s certainly not the hospitality keeping people coming back.

Honestly hit the spot in every way it counts. The server reccomended the turkey dinner and pot roast. We got both and it was perfect. The roast just fell apart and the turkey was just pure Thanksgiving. Service was fantastic and everyone was so friendly.

Loved it here! The decor was impeccable! The attitude of the waitress was the best human behavior has to offer. With just 15 minutes to go before closing time, Kate (Katherine) didnt panic or complain when 13 people arrived after church. She was the only waitress there on 6/24/2018. She took all 13 orders with the grace and courage of a person twice her age without flinching. We were extremely impressed. The burgers were fantastic, but the most impressive aspect that we noticed here was the impeccable service. Kate, you are great!

Our breakfast this morning was amazing. Good portions, reasonably priced, the food was delicious, and all of the staff was very friendly. We loved all of the vintage memorabilia and the juke box. We will be going back.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s so it reminds of my youth. The staff were very hospitable and the food was good. Prices were average. Id stop again if I were hungry and in the area. Lots of parking and interior seating.

High hopes looking at the other food. We ordered a build your own omelet with extra cheese. Came out without cheese. Waiter convinced us to put 2 slices cold cheede on a now cold omelet. Tried to eat to avoid asking for it off bill/another. It was inedible. We asked to gave another made with a little over half still on plate. They told us no. They took off bill but really we just wanted a hot extra cheese melty omelet. Wont be back. As a breakfast waitress myself, super unprofessional service. Disgusting!

My family was so excited to try this diner. It was very disappointing. My sons $6 kids meal was watery kraft Mac and cheese and our waitress even came back to inform us that fries didnt come with it so it would be extra. My chicken tender meal was very small portioned for $13 and the chicken was so dry I didnt even finish it (trust me that never happens). My husbands build a burger had onions, mushrooms, and Bacon and ended up being almost $20 plus $4 up charge for onion rings instead of fries and he also didnt finish it because it didnt taste right. So we basically spent $60+ for kraft Mac and cheese and fries (oh and a hot dog my nephew took home instead). 🙃 The diner rolls were good however!

Looked like a lovely diner!!! I did NOT mind that I had a 15 minute wait it tells me it must be good. However 2 other couples standing in the doorway / hallway and then my husband and I stood in the doorway/ hallway after checking in. We were not directioned where to wait . I assume owner or manager ( whoever he was ) came out of what was maybe the kitchen and told us all very loudly to move outside because we were a fire hazard. Ok I understand that, however there is a way to talk to customers. He was rude, loud and made us very uncomfortable. We left and so did the two other couples. . We Did not feel welcomed will not go back ! If you are going to be in customer service take a class!!!

Service was good but food lackluster. Crepes tasted floury and needed salt. Corned beef hash was very salty and appeared to be canned. Kind of expensive for what we got.

Overrated. IHOP is better and they are horrible as well. We live local and have tried them 3xs. We go local 1st but, after awhile bad service and just ok food doesnt cut it. Needless to say we wont be back.

This had to be one of the worse dining experiences in my life. First after they sat us down and took our drink orders the waitress came out and said that they didnt have hardly anything left on the menu. For example, they didnt have any hamburger, or any seafood. She said they only have two bowls of chop suey left. At this point we felt like we had to order something because they had already given us our drinks and bread. So then we order a BLT with fries and a order of chicken quesadillas. After about it least forty five minutes, the waitress came out and finally noticed we were still here with no plates in front of us. She said she checked and our chicken was finally on the grill. However nothing in our order that showed up had any chicken. my plate contained Cold french fries, cold bacon, cold toast. The quesadillas was missing chicken. Again this feels important to be said again lol when it was brought to who I am going to assume was the hostess she said everything would be fine. Our waitress who had never come back to our table after she brought our dinner showed back up.she was informed of how unhappy we were. We didnt even bring up the fact that it was damn obvious that she forgot to place our order when we gave it to her. We just told her that our food was cold and we didnt get what we ordered. I can honestly say he was not rude at all. Our waitress instantly became offended, and denied getting our order wrong. She slammed her hand down, and if flung my spoon down on the table almost throwing food contents all over me. She obviously was upset. She didnt even apologize for throwing a spoon at me. Couldnt believe how upset she was over her own behavior. She should have been embarrassed for herself.

This was our first time eating at Blast From the Past Too. They have inside and outside seating available. We ate indoors for the first time since the pandemic started. The diner is exceptionally clean. My wife and I had our two grandchildren with us. Our server, Abigail, was awesome. She was very attentive to our needs. She was great with our grandchildren and made sure they were happy. My wife had the open-faced turkey dinner. The turkey was perfectly cooked and was a large portion. My wife was more than happy with her meal. I had a western burger, cooked to order. The burger was cooked to perfection and was nice and juicy. The lettuce was crisp. My granddaughter had chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were delicious and the fries were cooked perfect. My grandson had grilled cheese and fries. Again, the fries were perfect. His grilled cheese was cooked perfectly as well. My wife and granddaughter used the restroom and said it was spotless. Overall this restaurant was a five star experience for us. Our server, Abigail, was a big reason why the restaurant gets five stars. She promptly took care of our needs and was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Food came out quick, but it stayed on the cooks counter while the server cleaned out syrup and looked out the window. And an honest warning, dont get the juice. Fun diner type restaurant. Coming from NJ, the diner capital, I had some reservations, but all in all, we had a very nice time. The menu wasnt the typical 20 page diner menu, but all of the staples were honed down to one page. Portions were crazy big. My brother had a club sandwich that spilled over the side. I had the lobster roll. They offer you your choice of mayo or butter. I opted for mayo. It was a little too heavy for my liking, but it wasnt over bearing. There were decent sized chunks of lobster meat on a toasted buttered roll. The onion rings were a popular item. I wish they had been fresh from the fryer. The portion we got looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. They were tasty and the portion we got was more than enough to share. Will definitely stop in again when I am nearby.

Turkey dinner in a diner. What could be easier? Dinner has been on the marquee forever leading one to believe a turkey is being cooked daily. Meal served was old, turkey all stringy, no slices. Potato a perfect baseball size scoop, texture of a baked potato, not mashed. Stuffing made on a stove top. All topped by an extremely peppery gravy. Swansons frozen dinner would be an improvement! On a positive note waitress was an attentive polite server.
