Over the summer we had a roast chicken dinner and this week, the Yom Kippur brisket dinner. The mains and sides were absolutely delicious and my family gushed about how good it was the whole time. Order ahead!

Delicious! The Dilly Bean has amazing home-cooked food -- the brisket impressed my entire family and the kugel, potatoes, broccoli and tzimmes were wonderfully seasoned. Weve also tried the different dips and they are winners! Definitely stop by or order out -- a great addition to Schenectady.

A great place for a hot meal, for pick-up to-go. Recently renovated after the pandemic, it’s very clean and accommodating. We love the brisket and roast chicken. Abby is a sweetheart. Highly recommend, forPick up or thru Grubhub.

I have visited here previously for the amazing soups but now they have really nice meals. I bought braised bbq beef that was quite delicious. I went here after work and they were gracious to allow me to make an order even though they close at 5pm. I did suggest if they could have later hours for people getting out of work wanting to grab dinner. I have always been impressed with the different homemade soups that the owner used to make and I like the addition of chicken and beef meals. The prcies are very reasonable for a nice portion of food. I will definitely be going back but maybe ordering ahead. I also purchased dill beans which were yummy.

My wife and I were looking for Schenectady take-out and decided to check out the new food service at Dilly Bean. We both ordered the half herbed chicken with two sides -- sweet potato tzimmes and roasted broccoli. The chicken was succulent and perfectly seasoned with rosemary. The tzimmes, traditionally served at Jewish holidays, was a wondrous revelation to us Gentiles -- stewed sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples, lightly sweetened -- a scrumptious complement to the chicken. This is home-cooked comfort food at its best. To make matters even better, each of our meals was packaged in a cardboard take-out container -- no styrofoam! Suffice to say, we have added Dilly Bean to our short list of hometown take-out favorites.

The store itself is a fun place to visit, a surprise treat in every nook and cranny. Clean, well organized, and stocked with healthy choices, from pickled fare to coffee beans. The local focus is inspiring. Everything is sourced from local and New York merchants. The hands-on friendly owner is a welcome addition to our Schenectady community. Its a whole new world for me. Picked food has never been a craving I shared, so it was a singular event for me to get my first nibbles of a Dilly Bean. Im a fan, and looking forward to enjoying this neat health focused food.

I love this place! Its stocked with great locally-produced goodies, including their own pickles and sauerkraut and dilly beans. I particularly love the half-sours. Last time I was there, I got a beautifully-scented peach tea candle from the Troy Nine Pin Cider Collar City Candle Company. They also have fresh kombucha on tap. Going back this weekend for more pickles!

Great place for wholeaome, natural and organic foods. The owner is a terrific young lady with a real energy and determination to find good foods and healthy snackers for you. She asked a lot of questions to make recommendations for what to try and did the same on my second visit.Try the Dilly Beans and ask her the story. Everything was truly good, from the beans to the pickles to the jellies to the granola and popcorn. I could mention that other things and there are so many things left for me to try.Enjoy your visit and the eats.....
