Husband had appointment to get hitch put on our jeep. They called him and told him they needed to reschedule. Fine. Things happen. Two days before rescheduled appointment they call again. Again to reschedule. No! This is not okay. It’s too late! We will take the 500 bucks we were quoted somewhere else!

This place and its staff is the best!!! UHaul messed up my reservation, THEY FIXED IT!! AND FIXED IT WELL!! LOWEL AND THE STORE MANAGER ARE AWESOME, AND YES!!!YES WE ARE COMING TO THIS LOCATION ONLY IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WERE still moving our daughter to Cleveland for her new job so we will return. I wish every business had these kinds of people. It really makes the difference.

I used them to my my items from my storage to my new apartment which was 50 miles away. Which I told them that. I paid for one way upfront which was$80.ThenWhen it was time for me to get on the expressway to driveTowards my destination I noticed thatThe brakes were goneAnd the power steering was off.So I called them to inform them about the situation.I was on hold for about 30 minutes.By this time I was done unloading the truck and was ready to turn it back in.They said oh well do you want to wait for roadside assistance.I said no I just want to turn it in to the nearest location.Then customer service tells me that roadside assistance will come pick up the truck annd so I called roadside assistance to schedule the pickup.They told They were not picking up the truck up they dont know why customer service told me that. So I drove it to a location 6 mins from my apartment. The guy tells me this a round trip truck if I leave i will get charged over $200. So I called customer service again I was on hold 30 mins. All to get hung up on. So I left it and the GM at the scherellville location called me 3 days later and said she will take care of everything. Next thing I know im getting alerts from the bank showing them trying to charge me for the truck. Absolutely worst service and policies ever. Nobody wanted to work with me. This is the first time I ever had a problem with Uhaul. Never will use them again

Best Uhaul in the NWI region. After a very stressful ordeal with my local Uhaul on Calumet & 165th… I was transferred over to this one after the N Indiana and S Cook County traffic office couldn’t secure a truck and trailer for over an hour. Employees had my truck and trailer ready within minutes of arriving even though I was early. Pricing was fair and was in better condition than the other location I’ve used for years. Definitely will use them again. Highly recommend, seems like they have more equipment ready to rent.

Quick and easy pick up and drop off experience. The employees were helpful and knowledgeable. This location is always my first choice when I need a big truck or trailer.

They saved my day.Ive rented moving trucks from here before and theyve always been great but today they really went above for me. I had booked a rental car with someone else, that place had me standing outside for 30 min AFTER my scheduled time. I called U-Haul to see if they had any rentals, they did and without a wait. It wasnt a compact car but it was available and I didnt have to wait in the 102F weather. And for not much more money.You guys rock!

Rent trailers here often and always great service. Great price for full refill of propane tanks as well. Owner runs business hands on as well which is respectable in my book.

This place needs more employees. I have been there several times and called...... Im always on hold or waiting for help when at location.

Horrendous customer service. I had traveled to this location in an attempt to secure a truck for a Sunday. They stated they didn’t have any trucks available in the size I needed. I asked for several different sizes. They stated that they have no availability. I asked if another Uhaul store in the area may have a truck. They stated that they didn’t know. I asked for a number for a different location near me. Again, they stated that they didn’t know I’d have to look it up. Luckily, was was able to locate a number for a store a few miles away and secure a truck. I surely don’t know if these stores are independently owned and operated but it seems as though they would or should have a system in place to track the fleet. I was willing to work with them on times for drop off and delivery but they couldn’t be bothered. A very unfortunate experience.

First time renting from uHaul... got a pickup truck to move a patio table. When I picked up the truck I was never walked around it to show any imperfections. Didn’t think anything of it. Parked in a lot with it in the middle of nothing, no vehicles around me. Loaded the table and drove back later that day. Returned the truck and got a call a half hour later saying they were going to charge me $85.00 for a DECAL that apparently was peeling off. Luckily, I got the $10.00 insurance coverage so they waived it.A recommendation to anyone renting here, take pictures of the vehicle before renting. They may try to stick you with an $85.00 decal too!

I paid a move out fee of $250. My account was charged $287.50. I went they very next day to collect my things out of the U Haul storage located in Schererville IN and I walked inside the man gave me a huge problem getting in saying he can’t let me get my things because there is still a balance of $90 and that had to be paid before. When I just was told that the $250 would be my move out fee. After I argued with him for 30 plus minutes they finally let me pass and as I pulled up to my storage 205 there was a guy walking back from as he says “making sure their lock was not on it”. As I go to unlock my storage with my same key. It inserts but does not twist. In this case I feel as if something was done to my lock. I have been looked at weird because my skin is black and all the employees are saying they can not help. And there nothing they can do. On top of the fact that they are giving me a time limit to move my things out within 3 days and when I come my lock that has always worked is not working?!?!?

Would not fill my propane tank telling me it was out of date. Which they were incorrect and law states new DOT tanks are good for 12 years. Employees need more/better training.

I have been to this location a few times. I have rented uhaul at least 15 times. Tonight I stopped in to rent a pickup truck. During the rental process I was ask if I had my phone, I replied it was in the car, the counter associate told me too run out and get it, when I came back about 45 to 60 seconds later she was helping another customer (I literally ran), I waited around for fifteen minutes while she helped this other customer because I was told to grab my phone that I had no idea I would even need for the rental process as I had not needed it for the 15 or more previous rentals I had made with uhaul. Other times this has been an OK place to do business, today not so much. Nice girl behind the counter but no concept of customer service.

Arrived 11/9/19 at 8am to get a propane tank refilled and was informed that there was no one working who knew how to do a refill. Really? Sub par management if you cant even cross train employees.

Ive visited quite a few UHauls in the past but none has gone above and beyond with customer service and help like this one. Wonderful experience with the manager Phillip and his associates! Thank you thank you!

Easy fast in and out ✅ good people

We stopped here to fill our propane tank. Sign says we fill everyday but Christmas. We go inside girl says we cant fill come back Monday or next week. No explanation no out of order sign. Sign should be replaced with not that you fill everyday its when we feel like it and if i want too.

This location service to customers is bad. Even when something is in writing they try to get over on the customers. Philip is doesnt always tell the truth and is very inconsiderate.

Never answer the phone and, worse, their associates are inexperienced and incompetent. Had a massive up charge with late fee added that I am currently disputing with customer service because employees didnt process the truck return in a reasonable time even though I returned it the same day.They also accessed my account information and processed this new payment without my authorization.

Can’t say enough about Jake and Tory. They both assisted me well beyond the call of duty and made sure my vehicle was ready to tow the trailer. Would give 10 stars if I could.

I brought my vehicle in to have a hitch installed.Due to the incompetence of their amateur installers I left with a broken tail light and a large gouge in the quarter panel of my vehicle they denied doing the damage their insurance company denied paying my claim so I was stuck with the $800 repair bill. Terrible company will never do business with them and will never recommend anybody else to do business with them.

They have good product, but be aware of what you sign when you rent. All rules are not suggestions, but rather an opportunity for upcharge when not followed to the t.
