This Automotive Service center was recommended to us by a body shop who had repaired one of our cars. We moved to the area, and did not know anyone, and relied on the kindness of the local people. It was more to repair our 98 Chevrolet Tahoe than we were expecting, but we knew it had to be road worthy to go back to Arizona and California at least one more time, later in the week.After it was fixed, it actually drove like it was just a few years old, not practically an antique. It was a good experience.

Car needed to be towed in on a Friday. We had no idea why the car was not starting. After an inspection, it was discovered squirrels chewed through several wires attached to the ignition. This was diagnosed and fixed with 1 business day. Price was reasonable. Great service though.

It was my first visit and all I was there for was a vehicle inspection for registration. I saw and heard their interaction with a number of customers, both in the facility and overheard them on the phone. I was very impressed with how professional they were and the detail in which they reviewed the maintenance performed or needed on these peoples vehicles. In short order they had my vehicle inspected and I was on my way, but when the time comes that I need a vehicle repair I know Im going right back to Schertz Auto.

Went in for an inspection and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The inspection was quick and they didn’t charge any extra fees. I went over there for an inspection and usually they have me waitting for 3 hours to learn that they have completely forgotten about my vehicle.That is totally not the case with Schertz Auto Service. This was my first time taking my car in by myself, so I was a bit nervous at first BUT David and Vickie were phenomenal! Went in for a last minute State inspection this morning. Front desk staff were very friendly and patient, and offered me drinks and coffee while I waited. Quick service (less than the quoted 15 minutes), good shows to watch and a comfortable waiting room, and just look at the goody bag waiting for me in my truck! I never give reviews but I felt this place deserved it. Will go back for any issues now!

Being able to speak directly with the mechanic and technician was outstanding. Showing the tech what I was hearing and then him spotting the problem in seconds put my mind at ease.It was a completely different experience than I received at Dodge Chrysler dealer. It was personal, quick in and out, good communication and a very fair price.

I made an appointment for 7 am, 1 hour before I am to be at work, to get my Mini Cooper S oil changed. This in itself could be risky.... But, not at Schertz Auto Service! I was in and out in plenty of time to get to work. I was very impressed with the state of the art facility. The waiting area was comfortable and stylish. There was coffee, water, soda for the customers. Everyone was kind and courteous and informative. Vicky B came over to me with her lap top and went over my Vehicle Health Inspection line by line explaining what Bradford, my Technician observed and Recommends. They even take a photo of your vehicle and if necessary a video for some portions of inspection. The professionalism and comprehensive way I was told about what needed to be done to my vehicle really made me feel confident about allowing them to work on my Mini Cooper. I just activated my account with Schertz Auto Service Online Service Center - Auto Vitals-you can Schedule appointments online, review your vehicle maintenance history etc... and I am blown away! Super cool! I will be back!

Came in for an inspection. There were 3 advisors at the desk. I popped in and asked if they did inspections, since 2 others in the area were listed but said they couldn’t, and they emphatically replied, “Yes, absolutely!” They gave me an eta of about 15 min.After getting my info I sat down. The advisor called over intercom for an inspection tech. After a few minutes, I noticed no one had moved my vehicle. Right when I was about to contemplate whether or not to walk up to the desk, the advisor calls for again over the intercom for the inspection tech and politely reminds them it’s the 2nd request.Unbelievable! Accountability and friendliness! C’mon! That’s hard to find anywhere nowadays but definitely wouldn’t expect it at a mechanic shop.The staff seemed in good spirits as well.If they have quality tech work backing up the front end - I only got the inspection - these guys would be at the top of anyone’s list for car repair work, I’m sure!

Went in for a vehicle inspection for my registration… however was impressed with their service so set up a oil change for my vehicle, possibly a windshield replacement if the price is right…they will do an overall check of my truck. Right now I like their customer service and for me that is saying a lot!

Schertz Auto Service is my familys #1 choice when it comes to servicing our vehicles, and has been for years. I went it to see if they had any appointments available and they female receptionist kindly told me there were no open slots until Monday. As I was walking out, the male receptionist began to talk about me to the female when I could still hear him. This was VERY upsetting and super unprofessional. This is my first negative customer service interaction here and I hope I dont have to deal with this again.

I took my vehicle in because the temperature gauge was fluctuating and fan running unusually loud. Beth and Cristi were extremely professional and welcoming which put me at ease with whatever the diagnosis would be. You would be hard pressed to find a better shop than this. Clean facility with friendly staff who are knowledgeable. I have had major and minor repairs done here and have purchased my last set of tires from them. Everytime the experience has been great. I highly recommend this shop.

We started with this company in May of 2020 with a diagnostic overview of engine work we needed done, new camshaft, tappets, etc. Said they would beat the dealership, costs through them was almost double what the dealership quoted, same parts, work, labor, etc. They misinform customers about their appointments. Even though we have had two appointments for the last two oil changes, both dropped off around 7 am in the morning for simple oil change appointments, I still did not get my vehicle back until End of Day either appointment (their logic, if we are not physically waiting in office, your vehicle gets put on the backburner) Due to them making the last appointment right, offered free oil change. Hence today. I set up another 7:15 appt for a simple oil change. no frills. It is now 4:50p, just got my vehicle back and they still tried charging us for oil change after confirming the services would be free this go around, so therefore causing more delay on getting my vehicle back. Also, through their mandatory vehicle inspection, they tried to inform us we need all new this and that, although we rebuilt the engine less than a year ago, all these things have been replaced by my husband and myself. If I could give a zero star for this location, I would. Needless to say, the $13,000 price tag they wanted to charge us, we ended up doing it ourselves for A FRACTION of that cost, no issues. Customer service is not that friendly either. Just excuses when you call inquiring about your vehicle. Also, we had to call several times throughout all 3 appointments to check on vehicle because they say they will call and never do. Please, people, get a 2nd or even 3rd opinion. If it is something you can fix on your own, I would recommend that over bringing my vehicle back here. There is no honor in this company. Update: now my truck wo t start after getting it back from them!!

I had my car inspected. They were very friendly, they had me out in about 15 min. The waiting area was clean and they offered beverages. Will definitely go back.

Needed some work done on my personal vehicle in order to pass inspection. Knew about Schertz Auto because my employer takes his fleet vehicles here sometimes to be serviced (my work truck being one of them). They fixed an electrical issue that time and the truck has been good to go ever since. The shop was clean, the front office staff extremely professional and the techs seemed in good spirits. Well back to my experience bringing my personal vehicle in.. I called and Tina answered. She scheduled me To come in @ 7 or 7:30 (Sorry can’t remember exactly lol) which was awesome because my shift starts @ 8am. I didn’t tell them, but what I really needed was a 2nd opinion on the diagnostics because the dealership had already given me a repair estimate in excess of $2,000.00 and just wanted to be sure because management had started going downhill over there. Anyways, Mr. Wayne, Steve and especially Tina helped answer all my questions and their shop was exactly as when I had taken the fleet vehicle there for service some months prior. Tina is an amazing communicator and kept me up to date in essentially real time with what was going on with my vehicle. The diagnostic fee for electrical vs. brakes is $75.00 so I, personally, would recommend clarifying that on the phone before driving over there but it’s understandable because they have to pay the mortgage, taxes, the techs, salaries, insurance, etc.. I trust their work and appreciate their patience In making sure we were informed every step of the way. I know firsthand the work is high caliber but the price, for me, came back a little too high. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an honest body shop and make more than I do lol. The real reason I wanted to write this review is because the day of me picking up the car Tina and Steve went out of their way to stay open a few extra minutes because there had been a car wreck on I-35 northbound. You just can’t beat customer service like that. Thank you Schertz Auto!

Great customer service and a pleasure to deal with.I took my car in for repairs and I had the pleasure of having Wayne as my representative, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Their online inspection result is fantastic, they take pictures and leave a description underneath explaining the issues your car is having. When I recieved their email Wayne called me shortly after and went over the entire inspection as if I was in the store right next to him.This is definitely mine and my wifes new car shop and any future issues we have well definitely be returning.

I am a former Beldens customer and tried Schertz Auto Service for the first time this week based on good reviews I read online. I needed quite a few routine maintenance items done and they did not disappoint. Since I have a 2012 still with the original brakes I expected to need brake work. SAS inspected them and found they were still good. Needless to say I appreciated their honesty and will definitely take my car there again

I dropped my car off due to a rattling issue that we thought was due to the belt. After a replacement, the rattling was still occurring. Vickie went above and beyond to troubleshoot and solve the problem by doing research on the car and attempting to get the repairs covered by our warranty. Once she discovered it would only be covered through a dealership, she let us know instead of just moving forward with the repairs. She really cared about getting our problem solved and still saving us money. We will be returning here with any future issues and regular maintenance.

Decided to take my truck in for annual inspection. While waiting they took me on a tour of their facility. State of the art, efficiency and professionalism is what came to mind during the tour. I found a new place to service my truck.

Our experience here is always a pleasure. The staff is very professional, courteous, attentive, and genuinely cares about you and your vehicle. Throughout the process you are regularly updated so you are always aware of what is happening with your service from diagnostics to the moment you get your keys back.. The quality of work is excellent and we were able to pick up our van two business days before it was promised to be finished. Our vehicle has 130K miles on it and it feels brand new again. This was my first time here. The staff is extremely friendly. I personally worked with Steve. He kept me updated on the progress of my vehicle and let me know everything that would be done. They do a complete diagnostic but there is no pressure to add additional services. I feel they just want to let you know the overall condition of your vehicle. As a female I appreciate that, in my past experiences at other places I feel the guys try to pressure me to get things I don’t necessarily need. I keep my vehicle maintained and also have knowledge of what needs to be replaced and tended to. So I really appreciate their “no pressure” tactic. I highly recommend this place for their professionalism and their prices.

They were able to diagnose the vehicle by noon even though they were booked for the day. The repairs were completed by 9:00 AM the next morning. They did not try to push repair suggestions that were not urgent. The cost was very reasonable. Top notch from beginning to end!

Came in for brakes on my ‘93 Corvette, but as I pulled in the car began running rough. They trouble shot the problem and determined it was a distributor issue. OEM parts are not available so they couldn’t work on it. Held it for 2 days while I found a tow company to take it to another shop. Super nice folks!

They are an honest mechanic shop and business. They wont recommend unnecessary services if they dont believe it will help your vehicle (theyve had the chance multiple times to try it on me). They send text updates and provide pictures and videos of everything they find wrong. I will continue to take my vehicles there.

Schertz Auto Service has very friendly staff and as far as I can tell they are honest. I have taken my car here because of a leaky tire and they sent me the video of the tire on the machine spinning irregularly. They did a total diagnostic analysis of my 2005 Mazda 6 (manual transmission) and let me know all issues. When I informed them that I could not afford all services they let me kno most important to least important fixes. I am satisfied with my service here and will continue to do business with them until I experience any shady business that I have experienced in the past with other maintenance places. Dropped off my F250 for multiple fluid changes and alignment. The staff was very professional and kept me updated with the progress. They have a state of the art inspection report with pictures and video. During inspection they found one of the engine coils sparking and sent me an update with a video. I authorized the repair and picked up the truck the same day. I highly recommend this Auto repair shop. They also just opened another shop at 5702 FM 1103 Schertz, TX 78108.

Schertz Auto Service is the place I take all four of vehicles for service. They are very thorough, friendly, and price competitive. Their facilities are top notch and they offer free pick up and delivery service if needed. Even my son takes both his vehicles their for service as well.

Wayne kept us up to date with everything which was greatly appreciated. Total cost was much more than quoted. We will see how well the repairs that were made hold up.
