So rude. This place acts like they hate their customers. I’ll be avoiding them from now on. I’ve been in twice this past week trying to get a propane tank filled. First time, told me no, was too early (8:40am). Second time, (2:30pm), I showed up. Sign says ring bell for propane service (bell has been removed) so I went inside again. No other customer in the store, 2 employees. Guy tells me “we’ll come out there.” I wait for 10 min and nothing. So I left. They don’t want my business, I won’t give it to them.

Similar unsatisfactory experience as others have shared for attempting to have a propane tank filled. I rang the bell, and waited for about 10 min. as I understand that they were probably waiting on a few other customers who were picking up trucks. I rang the bell again and waited for about five min with no response. I walked towards the entrance and saw an employee in the garage portion and asked if I could get a propane tank filled and she walked inside to get someone so I went back to the tank. A couple of minutes later a guy came out and the first words out of his mouth were not “sorry for the wait” but rather “I need to see if it works as it ‘times out’ on its own”. He went inside the gate, lifted a hood on the equipment and said “it’s timed out” to which I replied “so you can’t restart it and so no gas”. I told him I had been waiting for about 20 min and it would be helpful to simply hang a sign saying “out of order”. He replied that “they had just transferred him to that location” for which I asked “why does that matter as the sign says you pump propane 7 days a week”. I asked if anyone had called AmeriGas to report that their equipment was broken. He said no and that I should come back tomorrow. I believe that this particular Uhaul store should eliminate propane service if they aren’t committed to it.

I have rented from here many times. The manager and employees do a fine job.

Showed up to fill a 30lb propane tank and was told the only certified person was doing something else not even a hey give us 5-10 minutes nope all I got was come back at noon like if I’m not working at noon…

Rented a 10ft truck for the day. Truck was ready early for us before opening and was clean. Was kinda hard to find as it was in a different spot than what I was told. Paid under 100$ for a few hours of moving. Definitely worth it!

I have used this location twice during my move and had a terrible experience both the times:- For first time, I placed an online order for store pick-up. When I reached at the store, they didnt have the boxes I had reserved. The store associated tried to give me other boxes which were of much larger size and would not have even fit my car- Second time, I went to return the boxes that I had ordered online via ship to home. As per U-haul claim - Order plenty and we will buy back the extras, I went to return the unused boxes. Looks like that claim is a sham just to make customers over purchase. When I went to the store to return, Uhaul store couldnt even find my order number. I showed him the order confirmation email that I received from UHaul as well as logged in uhaul account and showed the order number there, but he just stood there helpless. I dont think it is my fault that Uhaul store staff is not able to find the online order number, but I had to bear the brunt of it. Not only I had to carry all those heavy boxes back home again, I also have $50 worth of boxes which I bought because of Uhauls false marketing claim.In addition to that, there were four other store associates behind the counter who were chit chatting among themselves and they were so loud that I was having trouble to hear the store associates response.I am not sure if it is a store issue, Uhaul website issue or an organization culture issuer, but my experience with Uhaul has been terrible. You are better off buying the boxes from Home depot. Atleast you will not face these kind of challenges with Home Depot.

The overall rating and my personal rating explains it all . The middle age high school dropout managing the place on Saturday lacks any sort of customer service skill . I was guaranteed a trailer this day only to have it rented from under us . The Buffoon lacks basic social skills or empathy. I can also feel his anger for having to be work here while he grows older and fatter and laments all his poor life decisions that lead him here . Latter fredo.

I would give this place zero stars if I could..... horrible horrible horrible..... don’t waste your time going here for anything at all..... there are plenty of other uhauls, it’s worth driving the extra distance to avoid this place

Absolutely miserable experience. Had a reservation and upon arrival he had rented out what I had reserved. Lacked any empathy for the dilemma he has caused, nor did he try to offer any solutions. This location should be inspected by corporate and subsequently shut down. They are doing a disservice to uhaul and will steer business elsewhere for as long as they remain open.

This is the worse place I have ever seen. A month ago I scheduled and instalationto be done after my work hours at my convinience. I had to wait to acomodate my need. No problem. My instalation was for Monday, All of a sudden, on Friday I received an email that my instalation was scheduled for Sunday at 1:30 PM. No one called me to discuss if this was a convinient time. Well I called and after speaking to a representative, I was transferred to a Manager that transferred me to someone else at this location this exactly after an hour and eight minutes. Worse service I have ever encountered. Do not use this location.. They dont even deserve the 1 star

Rented a 10’ truck from here last Friday, Oct 30. Was overcharged by hundreds of dollars. I STILL did not receive a receipt with breakdown of charges. I should’ve listened to my intuition when picking up and dropping the truck off to this location. The workers are unprofessional and sarcastic if you ask a question. This place Scams the customers. Shut this place down!!!

Unprofessional from receiving the first phone call. Ive arranged all via internet, the guy that runs it calls me shouting are you coming? Sounded like he had a large cigar and a whiskey on his hand I did answer yes thats the reason I have made a reservation. So he said hey I just need to know thats all. That was a red flag. Sad on me that Ive ignored my intuition and did move forward with the rental for was in a hurry. He ended up scamming me for the mileage I did not use and other taxes and overcharges. I was shocked the next day upon seeing them. I only used the truck 4 hrs and returned it as they prearranged it. If you use them, know you may be taking a huge chance for the guy is dishonest and very cunning.

I rented a van to move a table. Went from driveway to driveway then home. 20 miles total. I dropped it off the guy said looks good so I left. Imagine my surprise when I get a $150 bumper damage charge. SCAM!!!! Dont use them.

My experience here was great. He hooked up the trailer and was very polite.

Gave me a truck with corner damage ( didn’t mind ) returned truck after hours & the next day they charged me $650 for the damage that was already on the truck when I rented it . I called & had to stay on hold for 30 minutes before speaking with someone . I filed a claim to get my money back, was told i would hear back in 72 hrs ( requested call & email since I was never notified when they took the money off ) 4 days later I heard nothing . Called back, was on hold for another 30 minutes before speaking with someone who tells me the claim was closed because the GM of that location reached out yesterday but didn’t reach me . I have no records of that, no VM or email . & now customer service has to reopen the claim & couldn’t give me any additional information. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!!!

This is a very UNPROFESSIONAL establishment. First, the employee that was working was extremely disrespectful and seemed to not have a care in the world. The first red flag was when he had customers waiting for 15 minutes, then afterward...he began cursing in the store!!!! I feel he was really too relaxed, especially during working hours. Another red flag was this employee leaving the truck parked at the end of the street & not showing us to the car. Instead he chose to say “oh oh yeah it’s parked over there. I think I left it running.” I recommend not going to this place!!! To top it off they are scammers and will give you a truck to use with the gas tank half empty!!

Service to customers is horrendous. Never expect them to call you back...they wont. Waiting time is LONG. They act as if they are doing YOU a favor rather than appreciating your business. Very disappointing.

Extremely shoddy customer service experience with this facility. I had made an appointment on September 12th to have a hitch installed on my car. When I showed up on that day, the guy at the desk said that hitches were in back-order and I would have come back on Wednesday, Sep 16th. I told him that I wasnt available during the work week and scheduled another appointment for Saturday, Sep 19th. This U-Haul branch called me twice during the week to say that I am free to drop off the car Friday night and it would be done first thing Saturday morning. We dropped the car off the evening of Sep 18th and were told it would be ready by 10 am on Sep 19th. I have called twice this morning and the status is not ready; we will call you when we can. To add insult to injury, the manager of this facility claims he never promised us a 10 am timeline.

Worked with Manford who was professional and a pleasure to work with. No problems with my transaction or the van.

This facility was extremely new and clean from the outside into the inside. The truck was also extremely clean. I will be happy to rent here again, if the need arises. I wish more trucks were as clean and more places of business where as clean as this one! The staff was also very helpful as well!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE TOTAL SCAM. HAD A VAN FOR 3 HOURS. THE DISTANCE I WAS GOING THEY CHARGED ME ONE PRICE UP FRONT. WHEN I GOT BACK I WAS TOLD EVERYTHINGS ALRIGHT NEXT THING YOU KNOW IM GETTING ALL KINDS OF CHARGES FROM UHAUL ON MY BANK CARD. TWO DAYS LATER I GO BACK THE GUY WHO I WAS SPEAKING WITH ACT AS IF IT WASNT HIM WHO GAVE ME THE VAN. NEXT THING YOU KNOW HE PRODUCED A TOTALLY DIFFERENT AGREEMENT THAN THE ONE I SIGNED WHICH WAS STILL IN THE CAR. IM REPORTING THIS PLACE TO THE BBB AND ILL LET THE BANK HANDLE THE REST

Really laxed staff that I met very persistent on account creation just for a simple price quote. Seemed they were very dependent on the system. Will need to make another visit again to get details I need. The shop looks quite stocked for things in relation to trailers and moving supplies.

I highly recommend this u-haul over all others, I frequent them a few times a year for trailers and recently a box truck. Even the roadside assistance staff helped me out when the key wouldnt come out the ignition. They had a repair technician there waiting at night when I dropped it off and i didnt have to worry about it. Again, highly recommend!!

DO NOT USE THEM!! Truck was not available when we arrived as reserved for 9 am. We were told the truck we ordered was not returned the previous night and they had no other truck to give us. We were sent 20 minutes away to pick up a different truck. We asked to please have that truck brought to our location and were told that was not posible. The stressed they caused was inexcusable! Use any other truck rental company for your own sanity.

Dont expect to book a truck and to get it from this place. I made a reservation 3 weeks ago and they phoned me a day before my move to say sorry they dont have a truck. I drove to them to see what we can do and they said sorry we cant help! Terrible attitude, no help, useless!!! Rather use Penske or other truck companies, these guys clearly dont care for customers!

This is my first time dealing with U-haul, the manager is okay, nothing to brag about. When I went to place my order I was charged extra for something I didnt order. They seemed to have corrected the issue, after I called complaining twice. The only employee I can say great things about is Calvin. He helped me pick all of the boxes needed for my move, helped me take them to my car, and was such a pleasant and knowledgeable employee. I probably would not go back to this U-haul. Overall I wasnt satisfied with the customer service from the manager, or the woman who placed my order.

The owner and employees here are running a scam. They told me I would be changed $1 a mile (numerous times) and then when I returned the truck they charged me $2 a mile. When you drive 65 miles, its a fair amount of money. The employee and manager denied the whole ordeal. When we returned the truck we also overheard the person in front of us made a reservation and then when he went to pick it up they had rented it out to someone else. Dont go here, you will get ripped off!

Don’t let them install a hitch. They don’t have the proper equipment to do it. This is what my one month old car looked like after they touched it!

After spending 10 minutes on the phone, talking to two different people, having to start all over again with the second, I was told that they didnt have the size truck that I needed on the day that I needed it, after I had given them both pieces of information when I started the conversation.

Spent very little time picking up a van. Spoke to the manager/owner who handled my check-in process. Seemed like a nice guy.

This place is total a scam. I rented a truck last weekend advertised for $29.99. I had it for 2 hours to drive from Scotch Plains to East Brunswick. They billed me $179. The rude shop manager called me to tell me off because I complained about it to his sales rep. Buyer beware.

This was the worst uhaul turn in Ive ever experienced. Picking up the truck was fine but whoever runs this uhaul is completely unprofessional and shouldnt even be allowed to be part of the uhaul franchise. Apparently he is a private owner that makes up his own rules and charges ridiculous destination fees if you leave the uhaul truck at another uhaul store. Its really unfortunate how the owner handled the transaction because now its disputed with the card companies. I will NEVER go here again. The guy was raising his voice with me and acting like a doosh bag. Just make sure you get your plan straight or this place will over charge you like crazy.

Worked out..but they did not jave my trailer on day it was suppised to be there..and I have an emailed reservation..yet no 50 dillars as they guarentee.

Manford, the employee that dealt with me was beyond helpful and thorough.

Was quoted one price then when I showed up to have the hitch put on the guy in charge tried to jack up the price by almost $100. I offered to pay more than half and the guy in charge got nasty with me even though it was his employees that quoted the wrong price and wrote up the ticket wrong!

This place has many vehicles, quick service.

Theyll nickel and dime you to make a buck. Did as instructed by filling up the gas tank to its odd original amount but after returning the truck was charged $10. Never have I been scrutinized by the 1/8 of a gallon. Not even renting sports cars.
