I went in because I had always wanted to buy a straight razor. The salesman (with a long beard) was really attentive, nice, and answered all my questions with no rush. I really liked the store and Im very happy with my purchase.
Great service and consistent and clean haircuts and shaves. Michael does excellent work.
Great Shaving Experience!I just had the best shaving experience of my life...been shaving myself for over 30 years. This was the first-time someone else shave me, and I have to say it was awesome. Delton gave me a great haircut, shave and facial.Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Dont let previous reviews turn you away.
I went in to purchase a beard oil on Saturday 1/7/17. Walked in was greeted grabbed what I needed and proceeded to checkout. After being charged I paid with my debit card and the lady at the register used a credit card imprinter to take the payment. It seemed fishy to me at first but she assured thats how they took payments because they were old school. The very next morning while out eating with my family I get a call from my bank stating my account is locked because it was reported that there were fraudulent charges made. The charges in question were from the art of shaving Scottsdale. I understand that policies are in place to protect the company and card user, but a simple may I see your id would have sufficed. Not to mention me giving her all of my information to their rewards program Im enrolled in. Im just glad my bank was quick to call and save me the embarrassment of my card getting declined because of this stores employee. Needless to say I will not be shopping at this location anymore. Instead I will make the trip to the chandler location. Other than that their products are great!
Im the master barber for the art of shaving for scottsdale and I would like to say to those that are disappointed in certain inquiries I do apologize but as a team at the art of shaving we tend to try our best to make sure all clients and customers are comfortable. Never do we want to force or make clients purchase products that we know will not help or soothe our customers or potential clients. We do consider and appreciate you all. And as a team do honor all clients. Come to the art of shaving in scottsdale and not only get the best experience but a legit barber who cares.
Felt like i was being rushed by the staff as well as being talked to disrespectfully. overall decided to go elsewhere. place was empty and all employees seemed to not know what they were doing. was unable to establish a convenient time for appointment. when i told the barber i was interested in a basic shave he immediately said i deserve a royal shave and haircut. cheesy environment.
This was one of the most absurd customer service interactions Ive ever had. I walked in expecting to find my wife with my brothers in law receiving their festivus presents. After the woman behind the reception desk finished her conversation with her male colleague, she looked at me and welcomed me with hmm?I asked if I could find my family in the back and she explained to me no, they gave us the wrong phone number so we couldnt tell them [we are short a barber today].I learned from my family when I found them a few minutes later that the store had handwritten their phone number as 489-XXX-XXXX. There are several problems with this story:1. Even if my wife did somehow have some kind of brain fart and say the phone number shes had for 15 years, with the most common area code in Phoenix (480), wouldnt the best customer service practice be to just take the blame and say we made a mistake...? I certainly wouldnt be writing a scathing review right now if they had.2. Why is a business handwriting customer appointment information? Its almost 2019...3. As previously mentioned, 480 is the most common area code in Phoenix, why would anyone think 489 was correct?4. Why would the person who made the appointment not read back the phone number on the phone to confirm?5. Every other business has caller ID, how is this even an issue? All that aside, as I walked out, in anger, I mused, I guess my wife doesnt know her own phone number... and the woman responded I guess not in a tone that implied a you a$$hole at the end. Similar to the beginning of the interaction, I wonder, would it not have been a better customer service decision to say, for example, nothing?Im sure the barbers are great, but customer service is absolutely atrocious.Appointment time was December 28, 2018, 3pm.
Danny gave amazing service while we were in the store. I’ll be going back because he is excellent
On 6/9/18 Tiffany S. did a great job and she was very knowledgeable.
Incredibly rude, poorly trained and unprofessional staff to the point where I actually feel uncomfortable shopping here. After ten minutes of struggling, the creepy and awkward staff were unable to demonstrate proper use of shaver they sold me which malfunctioned. I had to endure this before they would replace the item which was very obnoxious. Please AVOID this particular location.
Excellent store but older women salesperson is very pushy and jumps on you an soon as you walk. Asking way to many questions at once...So after all that hoop la I left better service at chandler!!!
Delton Ortiz did a great job very knowledgeable
I went to this barbershop and Alex had been cutting my hair but the barber up front is a racist against Latin Americans he didnt know I was in the shop when he said that Mexicans dont pay for anything ..for the record I can own your shop race isnt the issue intelligence is
