Lana was AMAZING! When I brought my dress in I was very self conscious with how my dress would look on me. I use a wheelchair and was concerned about being and moving comfortably in my dress. Altogether, I needed quite a lot of changes done to it and everything came out perfectly. She removed layers of tulle from the dress and attached it to separate layer of rainbow tulle. She made a completely new skirt that I could remove and reattach to make it easy for me to get around and prepare for my day. I literally felt like a princess.My wife also had her dress alterations done by Lana, and while hers needed less intense work, it looked beautiful and she looked AMAZING in it. Lana was fun, professional and very sweet. She completed both of these within one week. She really is a miracle worker!

Lana, the designer behind Alis Fashion Design, is outstanding! I searched everywhere in the Phoenix valley for a wedding dress, and could not find what I was looking for. I found Lana, and brought her my ideas for a bespoke wedding dress. Starting with my vision, she built on it from there, and created the most beautiful wedding dress I could ever imagine. Beyond my initial ideas, she added additional design elements that made the effect of the dress even more stunning! Lana has a background in engineering, so not only does she understand how to design something beautiful, but she understands how to create something functional as well. Not only did my dress look timeless and beautiful, but it felt very well built and wonderful to wear throughout the day. Lanas services were very reasonably priced, and she was outstanding to work with. I felt like I had another friend in my corner helping me get ready for my special day! Her design work, stitching, and fabrics were of unmatched quality. I would recommend no one else for bespoke wedding dress design - Lana is the best!

Lana is AMAZING. I ordered my wedding dress, and when I tried it on, it was uncomfortably snug! I brought it to Lana and she was able to take it out just enough. Having skills in sewing myself, I could see the seam did not allow for much and it would not be an easy job. She completed my dress quickly and it now fits perfectly and I couldn’t be more excited for my big day. Lana is so kind and seriously talented. Highly recommend!!

I am a bit late on writing this review, but Lana is absolutely amazing! I took my wedding dress in to get altered at the beginning of March of 2020 and a week later my husband and I decided to move our wedding up five weeks due to Covid, which meant the wedding was now two weeks away. I reached out to Lana with the news and asked if it was possible to have the dress done in time. Not only did she have it done in time, even before the wedding, but she also did not charge me any extra to add some extra magic to my wedding. At such a busy and uncertain time, her kindness and hard work were such a blessing. She was so easy to work with and I am using her to alter my bridesmaid dress for my best friends upcoming wedding in March 2021 and will continue to use Lana for all my alteration needs. I am not one for reviews but I cannot say enough good things about Lana!

The Sunday before my wedding, I tried on my dress to be sure it fit and... it. wouldn’t. zip. I called Lana on Monday morning. By noon, I was at her home studio dropping off my dress with her. I had thought that adding a corset back was my only option, but she suggested just letting it out instead AND she found a couple of other issues that my first tailor had missed. When I returned on Wednesday (yes, just two days later!) my dress fit like a glove. I am in love with it again instead of it just being a huge stress point. Would highly, highly, highly recommend. Will definitely be coming to her for any other alterations needed, as well!

Lana is simply the best! My wedding is in two months and I took my dress home this weekend and I couldn’t be happier with how it looks! Not only is she fast, she is wonderful at her craft. I bought my dress knowing that the very nude (for lighter skin tones) breast pads were going to be an issue. My very first appointment, Lana already started working to fix it and the end result was amazing! The pads looked identical to the fabric underneath the dress and complimented my skin tone. She also hand stitched beading on the floral appliqués and made things really sparkle and pop. She listens, she’s fun and accommodating and she’s one of the best vendors I worked with throughout this whole wedding process. I definitely recommend her for your big day!

Lana is an absolute gem! I had two wedding dresses and an Indian lehenga that needed alterations and craftsmanship and perfectionism have each of them fitting me PERFECTLY! Aside from her work, Lanas personality had me feel completely at ease! I have a crazy schedule and forgot an appointment once, but Lana didnt fret and was able to easily reschedule with me. Getting my dresses altered correctly was a major concern for my wedding planning and Lana made sure it went smooth and exceeded all expectations. Her shop is also full of beautiful one of a kind pieces!

Id purchased a dress made by an company overseas and when it arrived, the sleeves did not fit at all - which would not be a nightmare except that I had less than a month before my wedding. Yes, my wedding dress was in the balance! She gave me several options to consider, and let me choose. She was able to complete the necessary changes IN TIME, and the dress looks absolutely perfect. I have taken several pieces of vintage clothing to Lana to have altered and she does a great job. She provides excellent, friendly customer service and does things right. Lana even hand re-embroidered the cuff button holes on sleeves that had to be shortened on one of my vintage jackets, matching the original style. She gets things back to you in timely manner too. I highly recommend Lana. She did an unbelievable job with my wedding dress. I was extremely unorganized and left my alterations until the last minute and she was able to accommodate me with no problems! Ended up being around $300 for the few alterations I needed. Tiny bit pricey but cheaper than David’s bridal and worth the cost for the professionalism and speed of service!

Lana was a godsend!! I took my wedding dress to her for last-minute altering after another seamstress (*ahem* Mari at Touch of Class Alterations in North Phoenix) nearly ruined my dress. I called up Lana at a moments notice, still probably in tears, and she invited me to come to her home studio to see what she could do. She was extremely kind and understanding and truly knows her stuff! She was able to correct most of the damage done by the prior seamstress and make the needed alterations AND all at a better price! I am a customer of Lanas from Canada. I was visiting Tucson and found her on the internet while looking for someone to make a dress for my daughters wedding. I had seen the dress I wanted on the movie, Under the Tuscan Sun. I phoned Lana and told her what I would like, directed her to images of the dress on the net, and asked if she could do it. She indicated yes to me with certainty. I came for measurements and to choose the fabric. I was surprised by the selection she had of beautiful fabrics. She took my measurements and we agreed I would come back for 3-5 fittings of the garment. I was so impressed by her professional capability that I decided to order two dresses. I was amazed at how quickly she progressed in her development of the creation. After several fittings, I received the finished garments with a high end level of perfection in all details. The dresses fit perfectly and I was delighted. Lana suggested creating from the leftover fabric, two shawls to complement the outfits. They are beautiful. Lana was wonderful to work with and I trusted her ability and reliability immediately. What a positive experience it was to work with such a talented and friendly person. Amazing!! This review is a couple of weeks overdue because Lana is hands down the best seamstress in the metro Phoenix area. Her dress designs are gorgeous. But my personal experience was having purchased an off the rack wedding dress that was slightly fraying near the zipper. The fabric was very delicate and i didnt have much wiggle room if you know what i mean- but Lana did the most AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND INTRICATE embroidery and bead work to cover the fray. you cant tell anything was ever wrong or that the beading was added after the fact. Lana truly saved my wedding dress! and she was very quick, professional and reasonably priced. Not to mention shes a beautiful personality. if you need a seamstress or alterations, you cannot go wrong with ms. lana

Lana Nails It Every Time.I took my suit to her to have it tailored and she was one of the few tailors in the valley who understand the modern, fitted, GQ style fit I was looking for. They say a good tailor will make a $500 suit look like $2000 suit and the best part is... Its True.All I know is that all my suits and dress shirts are going to Lana in the future. No other tailor in the valley can hold a candle to her.

I had a dress ordered from designer Michael Costello for an event over memorial weekend 2013. When it arrived the first time it didnt fit at all. Even though it was a special order they did agree to make a new dress with adjustments to sizing and send out to me. I received the second dress three days before my event and it fit worse than the first dress. Fabric didnt lay flat, the waist line was two inches too low and it sagged at the bottom hem. My boyfriend was determined to get this dress to work. After researching he came across Lana. I met with her after work and she assured me she could tear the dress apart and make it work... IN 24 HOURS !!! The next day i came and she had it ready. it was beautiful. fit just right and looked better than when I dropped it off. I cant say enough how amazing she was. We will continue to use her for all alterations and now decided to just have her make custom dresses to avoid over priced designer nightmares.
