Definitely more of a budget course. Well organized and clean. Almost every hole features a bunker. Not a lot of water.

We had the most wonderful week here. Everyone was so nice and friendly. No sales calls. Everything was clean and well maintained. Pool was great, room was great, views were great. Nicole at front desk was always polite and friendly any time we called. Every cart drive was very nice and accommodating. The housekeeping was great as well quick with extra towels n cleaning. The only bad I can say is one bed did squeak like a rail might be broken. On some days there was a strong sewer smell, but not really sure it was coming from resort or outside area. We will definitely be back. Loved it all.

Long course but beautiful. I am very much a beginner and appreciate the wide fairways and patience of my husband.

People are always friendly. Nice mountain views. Neither crowded nor expensive in the summer and somehow they manage to keep the course well maintained despite the blazing heat. Most def one of my go-to courses. Only (minor) gripe is that the tee boxes could be a little more clearly marked. Can be a little difficult to figure out which tees to shoot from. This local gives two thumbs up!

Wonderful well maintained place to stay for a visit. Very well located. Spacious and nicely designed units. It is by far our favorite place to stay in Scottsdale.

This is an awesome Parkland public course in an incredible location here in the Valley. This course has a unique history and is very well taken care of. The course is in fantastic shape in the summer and is affordable too. They also take the youth on course pass.

Great price, great course! Ive played at least a dozen times here with friends and family. I recommend this course to them for summer because of the excellent shade, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Today our foursome had a terrible experience with the course Marshall. The Marshall jumped ahead of us, played the course then circled back and yelled at us twice when we were 30minutes ahead of their recommended 4hr15min pace. This was not professional, poor course etiquette and generally rude. Our party spoke with the other staff and joked about it, and to our surprise they already knew of his poor behavior; indicating he is not being held accountable for his actions. I informed the manager on staff and hope they will hold him accountable for his poor representation of Orange Tree.

Top notch people, I didnt get a chance to golf here I went for a conference. But the people in the store and the 2 bartenders where on point! Got a chance to talk with the owner who is an Army vet and has a great story! I hope to come back and hit a few.

I booked a 7:04am tee time. I was in my cart at 7:00am while my brother was walking his clubs in from the parking lot. One worker (older man in blue shirt today) approach my cart and very rudely told me to go T off and that I was late. He made me drive out to the T at which point my brother was where I was just at and had to run after me with his clubs. The rudeness and disrespect this guy had was shocking. He even was talking down to my brother for being “late” when in reality if he would have just let me wait where I was we would have been exactly on time. He was rushing me to T off and wanted me to leave my bro when I could clearly see him running after me. This was my first time golfing here and we were both rushed through the first hole and talked down to. Nice place but I will not be back because of him. Did not deserve to be treated like this first thing in the morning. As someone who really appreciates and respects quality hospitality, this place sucked at it. That guy should not be the face for this establishment. Golf was fun.

Today was my first day training! Im a security officer with allied universal. My supervisors name is Michael Hodges. Gave me a tour around certain parts of the property and then I did my testing. I love this course and its beautiful landscape with plenty of trees for shade in the desert heat.Its my personal favorite golf course in the entire Scottsdale area.Friendly people work and play here, its a great place to relax and play some Golf.

Course was in great shape and absolutely enjoyed our round. Course plays flat and has a good layout. Greens were well maintained and fairways also looked and played great. Definitely will play again when back in town again.

Jan Fleming is absolutely incredible. I left a Bose speaker in my cart back in November on a golf trip from Denver. By the time I realized I left it, I was already at the airport. She called me several months later letting me know they still had it and on her day off from work she drove it over to UPS and mailed it to me! Where else can you find that kind of world class service?! MAJOR kudos to Jan for being extra awesome!

Course was in great shape... First off this morning and had a terrific 1st time golfing here... Very friendly and attentive staff. Bought the deal they had going for 18 holes, cart and breakfast with a free drink as well... Had the bloody Mary and the OT omelet... Fantastic breakfast. Will definitely be golfing here alot more from now on.

Its a decent course, but I did not appreciate how my group was treated by staff when we arrived. Our tee times were for 9:04am and 9:12am. We arrived at exactly 9:00am but were given grief from the pro shop staff for arriving late and were stereotyped as being a typical “bachelor party group”. I think it was very unfair to be treated in such a way considering we never said that we were a bachelor party and had done nothing wrong to be given so much grief for arriving “late” when we were actually on time. The worker at the starter box said we were “giving millennials a bad name” for being late....when in all actuality it was 9:08a on the dot and we would’ve been to the first hole on time at 9:04 had the pro shop not given us so much grief for arriving at a proper time. And this was especially upsetting because the course was not crowded at all, so there was not anyone behind us waiting to play. I was overall unimpressed with how we were treated, except for Katie the beverage cart girl. She provided the best customer service of anyone there.

Course is well kept, wide open fairways. Snack bar was closed while we were there, cannot comment on food options.

Great track in the middle of town. Bag kids were quite helpful grabbing the bags, setting up the cart.Washed the clubs upon completion and placed the clubs into the vehicles when completed.Will for sure come back.Downside, group behind us kept complaining about slow play, but when there is someone in front of you, they should take those factors into consideration.That group pushing us, only made us go slower and take our sweet time.We all paid to play, so they needed to get over themselves. ⛳

Orange tree, well maintained course, has nice open fairways.

I played Orange Tree today. The course is in average condition. However, it was over 90 degrees in the desert. There is not a drop of drinking water available on the course. This is outrageous!! This is pure greed. The only drinking water is for purchase if you’re lucky enough to find the beverage cart when you need a drink. Considering the desert heat, this is a serious health risk. Players BEWARE!!

Great local course. Awesome staff Tok care of the tournament we played in there. Course was in good condition for playing after few days of rain. Had the banquet dinner there after the round. Tasty food and the staff keep up the great service.

1.5 hrs to play 4 holes. Avoid this dilapidated course, not worth your time, even for free!!

1pm tee time. wasnt able to tee off until 2pm. first tee was stacked and marshall was present throughout the round, but not effective. 6 hr round and LOTS of waiting. will pass on this course since there are many others to choose from.

It is very hard to golf a round at Orange Tree.. horrible place to place golf. They are just in for the money.. no pace play 6 or more in a group.. and lets talk about the cart girls.. if you want your sons to see everything from the bottom to the top showing.. get classy Orange Tree of play..

Very nice roo.s and design 5 star, walking from parking lot 1 star, inefficient AC unit 1 star, so total of 3 stars...its so hot here in early June that the ac unit cant cool below 75 degrees...which gets rather warm at night for sleeping. Service has been excellent 5 star, but a true score is a solid 3

Reasonably priced in the summer and good service. The course is beautiful and challenging. The greens are very slow. They have a catering cart that takes cards.

Very nice course at very reasonable prices in the Scottsdale area. The course was in great shape. I would definitely recommend this course as on off resort course to check out. We will return when we come back to the Scottsdale area.

This is a great golf course! I’ve only been here a couple of times, but it truly is well kept. The service is great all around. I wasn’t even staying here and the front desk lady was glad to help me out with navigation.

Fun track. Long hitters can make birdies and eagles.

Rooms are very home like and quiet they also have jacuzzi tubs in the rooms and theyre very clean which is a plus!!

Definitely a great course for a middle handicapper and up. Wide landing areas, and greens protected by bunkers, that will provide enough of a challenge. Turf in very good condition too.

The course was in good condition. Staff was helpful and friendly, very courteous. I have one issue playing Orange Tree. The course could of done a better job at yardage markers. All you saw was a white piece of wood with black paint at the top of it in the middle of the fairway. That was 150 yards.marker. The only major disappointment with the round of golf.

Played here in early August course was in pretty decent shape for summer. Reason why two stars is because on a 115deg day no water available throughout the course... I understand COVID restrictions but they need water unless you want to pay the bev cart.

Coming in for my best friends wedding of which I am the best man and will be running a little late for our tee time due to us flying in that morning. They don’t do 9 hole rates and won’t make an exception for me so I would have to pay full rate for 9 holes or choose to not play at all. Tee time is already booked and all other players will be there. Sucks that the course wouldn’t make an exception and I’d never pay that kind of money for just 9 holes.

As a former Golf Course Superintendent, the course conditions aren’t great.The Marshall let us know at the end of our first hole we we’re behind and needed to catch up, nothing like hurrying to wait!On the first par three we waited 20 min for the home to clear! I told the Marshall he owed us an apology, he said I misunderstood-stood him and made it sound like my fault for not hearing him correctlyThe fairways are mowed so tight and the lies are very thin.Greens so hard if you go for the pin you’ll be looking for your ball on the back side.Pin placements,#8, in the front of the green with a false front. If you are putting down hill and miss, expect a 15 footer back up the hill.The bunkers were inconsistent. Some soft but most were like hitting off the cart path. Green side bunker on 18 is a perfect example.There are many courses to play, look for something other than this one!!!

Had an event for about 30 people at Orange Tree Golf Course, Golf and lunch. Andy, director of golf, and the team did a great job accommodating our group, especially under the covid-19 guidelines. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this venue for golf and or event. Thank you!

Nice course

Recently played this course on the weekend and had a great experience. One of the biggest issues with golf courses is pace of play. The course let all the groups know what the expectations were for a 4 hour round, and it was it adhered too by those on the course. Course was in good shape and was a lot of fun. The lunch special was great and we had a really nice meal after the round.Highly recommend the course!

It was slow could move faster but had good time

We hold our monthly and bi-annual events at Orange Tree and they do a fabulous job. Their catering is accommodating and delicious. The Grand Ballroom, Seville and conference rooms are perfect sizes for our various events. And the location and views are both perfect.

Nostalgic and quaint. Great place to relax. Could use some basic updates and maintenance in the buildings. Was in the meeting area and couldnt help but notice the filthy air vents. I doubt the system has ever been cleaned

The course was in really good shape considering it has been aerated. However, you need a ranger out on busy days, especially, when you are stacked up and behind a tee time. Keep pace of play.

A few months ago the driving range was good. I have been practicing there for 18 years since we moved back from Florida. For whatever reason it has a mixture of funky grasses and it is not too much fun! Unless you like practicing difficult lies. Which is ok I guess.

Im sure this is a great place..but my application was handled poorly, I filled out an application for outside guest services cause I have 11 years previous experience..I interviewed that day, they really liked me (they said) they were excited to offer me the open position, I was excited to accept..I was asked how long I needed to leave my current job, I said about a week..The week passed, I left (what was my current job) Orange Tree never called me back with a new schedule like they guy said..I called to follow up and was told Id get a call when they got the schedule and other things figured out...I never heard back, now I dont have that job OR the one that I left (that I cant get back by the way) now Im stuck jobless..Thanks Orange Tree! 😭😭😭Which is to bad cause it really looked like a cool place, and the guys seemed cool..but I guess Ill never know. 😒😤😞

Disappointed!! No parking nearby requiring a golf cart ride to get to room. Microwave only, so limited cooking for the week. Restaurant and bar closed for the week with no indication until we arrived. Best thing is the really nice staff doing the best they can.

We used Orange Tree Golf Course for our wedding last week and the venue is beautiful. The ballroom has lots of space and can accommodate groups of many different sizes. We had a rough start with planning and coordinating details due to the Catering/Event Director, but after Patty had taken over, the rest of the planning was a breeze.Patty, Johnny, and the rest of the team really took control the day of the wedding. She made sure things ran smooth and that everything was taken care of. I was able to actually enjoy our wedding without stressing about other things. Overall we had a beautiful, perfect day. We are still receiving nothing but great feedback and kind words from our guests!

Course played at a great pace, and was in good condition.

Pretty nice course, staff are fairly friendly except for the ranger. He just didnt seem to understand. Do not expect the older people to let you play through PS # 9 is impossible.The greens were just airated which made them slow as molasses.

Stayed here. Suites basic and clean with nice private patio overlooking golf course.. Super customer service! Enjoyed the pool and Cabana facility...enjoyed the golf and limited food menu....nothing is too much trouble...

My friend paid online and when got there they reminded us that their back 9 holes where being worked on. We had to play holes 1 thru 9 twice over.The landscaping employees would not move while they where watering in front of greens

Nice clean wide open course. Only reason why 3 stars, it ended up being $95 Canadian. We played much better courses with views for same price or less.This course should have been 50USD not 70USD.

Had a great friends reunion here! We had a suite, plenty of room, great pool with a grill for grilling up some steaks 😁👍 and a huge bathtub for chillaxin youll love it!

Nice course. A lot of bunkers in front of the greens. But overall a good course for average to good golfers. They take good care of the course and the driving range and chipping/putting greens are nice. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Great staff at the golf course and the pro shop. The golf course is rather large and beautiful, plenty of shade along the paths and a great driving range and a short game practice area. They also have a lovely patio area and a small bar/restaurant, with very helpful staff.

Very nice course with very accommodating personnel. I have played there many times and this past weekend I took my visiting brother and grandson there and we had a great time.

Not a bad layout for the price, but they pack the people in to make a really long round.

Worst operations Ive ever encountered. They double to triple booked the back 9 when we made the turn. We played 7 holes in 2.5 hours because of that and quit. Then the bag guys told us that this was normal. They stated that the pro shop are bunch of idiots but they are not allowed allowed to give them feedback from the players. The starter was busy hitting on a lady so he wasnt doing his job either, which caused the issue. They literally jammed 4 groups all at once into the back 9 at 4:07PM.My suggestion is to avoid this golf course. It will be a slow round. Orange Tree always is. The course conditions are fine and it is cheap, but do you want to wait? When I say wait, I mean a very slow round. 3 groups on the tees on Par 3s. Is that what you want to do? Then the guy offered me a rain check. No thanks. I am not going to play this course again. You should show this review to Gordon & Shelby. Is this the business you guys are proud of owning, doubt it.Again, theres lots of options. This is a Pass for playing anymore.

Wedding Review : Date : 10/03/2018Where to begin...this place is very chaotic and not very keen on making your day special. When we first booked the Orange Tree for the wedding ceremony/reception, we had Kristen who was wonderfully. She ensured me of backup plans just in case of bad weather etc. After a few months when we were going in for our taste testing, we found out that Kristen no longer works for the company. Patty, who was taking over for her, informed us that she hadnt been with the company for 4 weeks! No one informed us of the change, so I knew it may be difficult. It took them weeks to respond back to my questions, and I ended up not getting some things that I did request for the reception. The day before the wedding, we were not allowed to decorate the reception area (tables, setup, etc) until the day of the wedding. Patty didnt want to work with the other ideas we had planned since it rained and they were going to put us in this small room that just wouldnt work. She was very hard to work with and messed up our invoice a few times.When I requested that someone be there in the morning to let me set up a demonstration table for my helpers to use, no one was there. I had to leave since I had to do my hair and makeup, along with my other bridesmaids and did not have time to wait. They did not get the tables ready until 12:30pm when our wedding photos/ ceremony started around 2:30pm. My husband ended up setting the tables (bless him!) and informed me that they rented out a few of the tables we needed! So instead of being able to have time to take photos at 2:30, I had to set up a few things after I was done getting ready. The rest of the evening went well and everyone ended up having a good time (that is why I gave them 3 stars).However, the employees ended up throwing away some of my wedding stuff and damaged the umbrellas I had hanging from the ceiling. Then Patty hounded me a few days after the wedding, saying that I owed them money because she didnt calculate the sales tax right. I asked about the damaged wedding decor and what they threw away... she told me that I should of let her know so they wouldnt of thrown away certain items. Im sorry, but I feel if it is wedding decor or anything that is not food, they should be kept until the next day when the customer can decide what will be kept, thrown out, etc.I apologize for the novel I have written but please, go somewhere else where they are more professional.

Played a Sunday afternoon special..golf and dine..what a bargain. Played a really nice 18 on a somewhat average course..tee boxes were a bit beat up. Greens were moderate, and we enjoyed playing however a little slow..then we had dinner and the food was great. Staff was incredibly friendly, and was most helpful. Try the ribeye or the salmon both make a pretty darn great way to cap off a round... a definite do it again..

5 stars is not a joke.. for less than $30.00 SUMMER you get a decent just south of 7,000 yards in good shape...a lunch and libation and great staff with friendly, caring attitudes. Total old shoe joint with up-dated decor. DONT PASS IT UP...TIP well and be glad (for a a change) to part with some $$$s

How many times do I have to mention what a great place this is, I have been a frequent visitor here and again as they often say it is like a hidden gem what a great place to get away from it all

Staff were very nice and helpful. But the course was in terrible shape. We had to play lift clean and place on all the holes and the fairways were so bare we had to move the ball 10-15 yards to find grass. The sand was more dirt and rocks than sand and very hard. They have 3-4 tee boxs under construction so you have to play the ladies Tees.

Great course. Pins were just moved around so the greens arent as forgiving but overall still a lot of fun!

The course is well maintained, and fairly challenging. Im not a scratch golfer, but I do alright every now and then.Theres a good mix of par 3, 4 and 5s here. Good challenge and a lot of fun.

Nice course if you want to play a park type course. Well bunkered greens up in front of the hole, play long!

My husband and I play Orange Tree regularly and usually have a great experience with the staff, however today the attendant who greeted us at the end of our round was very rude. I give a $10 tip to those who clean our clubs and greet us with a smile and would have a done the same today but the attended just glared at us as if we insulted him. Very disappointing.

Staff was friendly, the grounds and golf course were immaculate. The room, although smallish served our purposes well. This resort is located pretty well in the centre of Scottsdale. Easy to get to various places. Highly recommend it.

Not worth the money.

TERRIBLE RATE OF PLAY AND ORGANIZATION. avoid this course unless you have 6 hours to kill. They told us they were behind on tee times which was fine. What wasnt fine was finally getting out and sitting at the tee box waiting for the groups (thats right plural) in front of us to tee off. We expressed the issue to the pro shop who did nothing to help.

The course was well-maintained even though it is the middle of summer in Phoenix. This is a very basic golf course with only a few water hazards the course is flat and very few dog legs so most of the holes are very straight. Just right for a mediocre golfer such as myself
