I called the dealership in expressing my interest in the Cherokee L model and the receptionist was very welcoming on the phone and invited me to come on down. Once I arrived, she again treated me very well and immediately introduced me to the salesman. I made my intentions known about my interest in said model for a lease and was greeted with an indifferent demeanor and the information was ambiguous. While the gentleman wasn’t inherently rude, I also didn’t feel welcomed either. I have leased and purchased many vehicles in the past and this is the first time that I was immediately turned off by a salesman. I will not be naming the salesman since he could have just had a bad day and wasn’t rude to me at all, but this goes to show that a little hospitality can go a long way. I’m pretty certain I will now be ordering an Audi instead. What a shame since the Cherokee L was gorgeous.
Service department is horrible! Nobody answers the phones or calls you back. When I arrived for my appointment I was told it would take 3-5 hours. Never told in advance! 3 1/2 hours in, I’m told it couldn’t be completed because the part was damaged.( a new soft top from the factory). They never checked it before my appointment. Asked to have my old top replaced until the got the new one cam in & was told I’d have to pay the labor for that because it was not covered under warranty. But yet they would pay for a rental car for a week??? Left a message for the manager of the service department to call me but he had the front desk girl call instead. Got nowhere with her rude attitude. Called the owner and still never heard from anyone. How they are still in business is beyond me!
We just purchased a used Jeep from Josh Symuleski this past weekend and all I can say is what a true professional! He took the time to show us how everything worked in the vehicle and answered all of our questions. Great guy to work with and a great dealership to work with as well. Thanks again!!!
My wife purchased her Jeep Grand Cherokee at Scranton Dodge in 2018 and has been taking it there for servicing since. The Jeep passed inspection two months ago and the mechanic said everything was fine. She just took the vehicle in for an oil change and they told her it would soon need $3000 in repairs. I looked it over and took it for a road test and everything seemed fine. She took it to Kelleher tire in Scranton to have it inspected and they said everything was good and it didnt need anything. I dont know if its illegal to do what they are doing but it should be.The last time I took the Jeep to Scranton Dodge myself for a minor repair they made me wait 4 hrs., even though I had made an appointment for the service. We will never take a vehicle back to them or purchase another vehicle from them.

Very frustrating to deal with there service department. Purchased 2020 Renegade last September and the daytime running light has already burned out. Service department does not answer the phone or return any of the messages I have left or give me an ETA of when I can expect this simple repair to be taken care of.

Schedule a service appointment with this establishment is very unprofessional and very unreliable. Calling the service dept. is a joke. Noone answers the phone and if you leave a message they dont return the call. Made appointment for transmission service was $215. I tried calling today and nobody answer the phone. So I decided to pay them a visit today since I cant get them on the phone and to my surprise three service advisors was there at there desk. I wanted to notify them if I can move my schedule up earlier but they couldnt. No biggie!!! I ask about dropping it off at the dealership and I was told I have to go to another location. Mine you I was never informed about going to another location to get my transmission service with dodge. Long story short!!! I went to the location and got the to confirm appointment and double to make sure the price is the same. It was certainly not...... $700 to do a transmission service on a 2015 Dodge Durango. I called BIG B.S..... I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH SCRANTON DODGE!!!! What a joke of a establishment.
Never have I been so unsatisfied with a place like this one. If I were you i’d think twice on where you want to take your car! Supposed to have gotten my vehicle today but instead I walked away without it. Very sluggish workers not knowing their job. So terrible won’t be here again.
They have had my vehicle for nearing three months now. I have not been kept informed of what is going on with out having to continually find a way there. I would not recommend anyone using this dealership.

Do not bring your car for service here. They are incompetent. The people in service department are rude and have no clue about what they are doing. We have brought our car to them twice and still have the same problem and want to keep changing to have it looked at.

I was lucky enough to get the best service writer Ive ever dealt with, THANK YOU KAYLA. My 4 star review is very much because of her. There were a series of mishaps regarding some recalls on my Challenger R/T Classic which did lead to some frustrations (nothing major or detrimental just a series of compounding inconveniences) and if were not for a talented people person on the job the review could have ended up as an average 3 star review. My wife recently bought a new Dodge Ram and loves her truck, so, I figured our family would make Scranton Dodge our one stop MOPAR shop. At the end of my visits all ended up well. For anything in the future knowing that I will have a service writer like KAYLA, who goes above and beyond, is something that really solidified my trust in Scranton Dodge.
Met with Frank. He was very Efficient and was ready for us. Had the car ready and had it gassed up. He was very friendly very understanding very helpful. I would love to deal with Frank again.
I recently inquired about a 2019 CPO Jeep Renegade they had listed on the dealership web page. The next morning Christopher (Chris) Montagna called me. We set up a time to meet and for me to take a test drive. After doing so I returned to the dealership a few days later with my family and we came to an agreement on price.The car was spotless, clean and outside the dealership on delivery day. I applaud Chris for his professionalism, honesty and going a few extra steps to make the purchase attractive.I was not introduced to any managers at the dealership but that was ok as I was in good hands with Chris from start to finish.In a time when customer service at many other dealerships have taken a back seat...Chris has exceeded my expectations (and I am not an easy customer to please).Highly recommend Chris @ Scranton Jeep

I bought a Jeep Trailhawk yesterday from Scranton Dodge and had a great experience. I worked with the salesman named Fred and he was very pleasant to work with. He wasn’t pushy at all and met all my demands needed to get the deal done. I was in and out start to finish in a few hours and the finance specialist was prompt with getting all the paperwork done. Nothing but good things to say about my experience with this dealer.
After realizing all that went in to doing recall work, and for Scranton Dodge to have to rely on Dodge Headquarters to supply them with the specific parts to complete each job, I admit I was hasty with my original review. But in fact, Scranton Dodge completed one of the recalls and needed to check my truck before they were allowed to order the part for the other recall. Furthermore, they spotted a problem w my rack and pinion that I would have not otherwise have known. They were very helpful in helping me understand all that is involved and once I realized this i felt bad for the way I acted. They were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. A big shout out to the receptionist Kayla who was so very helpful as well. I would recommend SD to anyone.
The disappointing factor about this service centre is, you can never get an appointment early than 2 weeks even though youre a regular customer and state issues which need immediate attention. You just have to wait out for the 2 week time until your appointment. You cant really plan much with such a long wait time for an appointment.
I really hope I get my car back I bring my car to this place with one problem and now theyre telling me I have 100 more problems I was certainly think twice before you bring your car to this people
Salesman was bad . He offered more info but didnt get bk . I had call him bk say he chk this or that again 4 days later 3 x this happened. Finally I got another salesman but he was off on Sat. BUT car was sold on that Sat.
My salesman Jim was excellent! The problem was with the management. Their price was considerably higher than the 2 other local Jeep dealers, for the same vehicle.
Just Bought 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 love the truck but had problems from the start told salesman spare tire was rusted and needed to be cleaned and painted.When I picked up truck he said tire was taken care of but didn’t check at dealership because I trusted them brought home never did anything with it now have ABS breaking problem and don’t know if my warranty I paid over 1700.00 for is going to cover it. I almost got run over on interstate on Friday because my Abs problem happened and it shut down my cruise control and my truck slowed down to 40 mph in seconds tractor trailer almost hit me.So today I talked to salesman about it and he said service department would call you in about 10 minutes 3hours later I still didn’t here from them so I had call them.Got to drop truck off this Friday and asked if they had a loaner vehicle but no they don’t because of virus well that don’t help me I need vehicle.Mathew and Dave I hope you read this because I am very disappointed so far I hope they can help me with this problem and I am not stuck paying for something that should have been seen possibly during the inspection of this vehicle and hopefully they didn’t overlook something like my spare tire was.Any questions you have my phone number and thank you and have a nice day. Purchased a pre-owned Honda Fit a couple weeks ago and am incredibly happy with the experience. My lease was coming to an end with another dealer, and I wanted to purchase a used car this time around. I wasnt looking forward to the car buying process, but this place made it easy and I never felt pushed. My husband and I were greeted when we walked in and test driving shortly after. Shoutout to our sales rep, Fred Langenhop! He was friendly and patient, letting us explore the vehicles at our own pace. Unfortunately, I had another disappointing experience at Scranton Dodge. The worst part is every time I go there’s an issue and the few times I’ve gone, there are other customers needing service who report having issues and problems. I couldn’t wait to start with Jeep; however, for the last year 1/2 my experience has been nothing but unsatisfactory and frustrating.
I had an incredibly positive experience at this dealership. I worked with Bill who I feel went above and beyond to help me with a very unfortunate situation. He was patient, kind, very accommodating over the course of two days. I felt very comfortable with him as he made multiple calls and finagled the best possible deals for me within my budget. If I could give zero stars I would. This place has done nothing but jack is around. A couple years ago our Dodge broke down on the side of the highway and we had it towed to the dealership and they told us “they may be able to look at it sometime during the week but no guarantees”, and they offered no courtesy vehicle. This is a work vehicle and is needed every day! Then we needed the mirror replaced and we went 2x with appointments and both times we already dropped the truck off and left only to be called a couple hours later saying they didn’t have the mirror. Finally the third attempt they finally had the mirror and then wanted to charge full price after everything they put us through. We will never purchase a Dodge again because of how terrible the customer service is. Do yourself a favor and buy your car or truck somewhere else. The service department is an absolute joke.Update...... both my husband and I have tried to contact Matt. We have left messages and have not received a phone call back. We will be purchasing a new vehicle in the near future and it is safe to say we will not use this dealership nor purchase a Dodge/Ram due to their lack of customer service.

We have used Scranton DCJR for service on both of our vehicles for years now. We are usually satisfied with the work done on our vehicles but, at times, the service experience left a lot to be desired. The wait times for drop off/pick up are long and difficulty making appointments (its not unusual to reach voicemail during business hours) can be frustrating. We have always been treated with respect, but at our last visit our service adviser Clint Bendar went above and beyond to make us feel valued. He got us in and out as quickly as possible at drop off and pick up, as well as thoroughly answering our questions and making sure we got timely updates during the entire repair process. His dedication and friendly demeanor made for a great experience.
I personally worked John Epp and the overall experience was smooth and hassle free. I have been to other dealerships where they continuously try to push vehicles and packages on you, not here. He took the time the to see what I really needed out of a vehicle and helped me get into a vehicle for me. I will be sure to make this my first option when I a back in the make for another vehicle.

I had been in months before for a recall, after waiting an hour, they advised me the part wasnt in stock. I returned recently, the Customer Service Rep that had helped me before, was no longer there and he had kept my recall notice. Clint Bednar to the rescue! He was able to look it up, they had the part and I got the vehicle serviced to boot! Great experience with Clint. We have been buying trucks and Jeeps here for twenty years. Hello! I had been in a pickle with my Wrangler, I usually have smaller garages handle my car but decided it was time to take it to a dealership. Let me tell you, my experience was hands down the best. I would like to thank Karly who had answered my initial call, for going above and beyond between running around finding out prices for me, making sure to call me right back (so I didn’t have to listen to the hold music LOL) and she was honest if she was unsure of something, and asked one of her coworkers instead of guessing! And most importantly squeezing me in so last minute. We communicated multiple times that day, and as pesty as I’m sure I was, she had an AMAZING attitude and was so bubbly, I made sure to get her extension for future scheduling.I then dealt with Clint, who was on top of his game. He’s fast, so knowledgeable, and made sure everything went as smooth as possible. I also respect people who do not talk down on me, as I do not know much about cars. I recently purchased the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Limited from this dealership. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and kindness extended towards me throughout the entire process. I mean, I know its their job to be professional and kind, but these guys went way out of their way for me. I had the pleasure of working with Phil Santiago who literally jumped hoops and climbed mountains for me to make sure I got everything I wanted. He made himself available 24/7 by giving me his cell phone number and texting back and forth with me about the details of the sale so we can get it finalized. Phil is a kind, carrying and VERY patient person. He provided outstanding service and I can’t thank him enough for working extra hard for me. The salesman that worked with me was Dave Deacon, he was awesome. Felt like our conversations were genuine and he was very professional when we were discussing pricing for my vehicle. I bought a used 2015 Toyota Corolla and it has exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with my purchase, I thought it was a fair price and they went above and beyond with their customer service after they knew they had secured a deal.
Scranton Dodge service department is wonderful. They have serviced my Durango twice, once for a check engine light (a computer glitch they found) and once to replace a turn signal light bulb. Both times they fit me in on the day I called. Professional, quick, and reasonable priced. I highly recommend them.
My car experienced some engine problems while my family was traveling during the holidays. The closest dealership happened to be Scranton Chrysler Dodge Jeep. And thankfully so because we received fantastic service while we were there! Clint Bendar happened to be the service agent that helped us and he was so genuinely nice. We arrived at 230pm and still had 2+ hours to drive home. Clint realized that we were from out of town and got us back up and running by 5pm. He even let us bring our German Shepard into their waiting area since it was so cold outside. It was such a great experience and if I am ever back in Scranton I would absolutely go back!!

This is the first review that I have ever written. I feel compelled to share my experience with this dealership. For a few days after completing a sale, I had concerns that I had previously brought to their attention and wanted to discuss further. I did not hear back from the manager until he knew that I was trying to contact the owner. I tried contacting the owner (Matt Pompey) via email and voicemail and have received no response. I am sure that had my calls been about a prospective sale that I would have received a very timely response. I found this dealership to be incompassionate, to lack integrity, and to be only concerned about a sale. I know that I am only one person, but if this review helps just a few people to make an informed decision it was worth it.
I worked with Frank to buy my 4th Grand Cherokee and had a wonderful experience. Our first contact to drive off was just a day, and I couldn’t have been happier. They were very fair with their appraisal of my trade in, and were very transparent with the pricing of the new vehicle. Much better service and a better deal than Motorworld. Some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. First time here I had an oil change and no one called to tell me my vehicle was ready. Second time here getting an inspection and I dropped my car off at 10am and it took 4+ hours past the appointment time. Whenever I tried to call and speak to someone about the status of my vehicle it rung and went to voicemail everytime. Very poor service.

I called Scranton Dodge to let them know I was very interested in one specific ram 1500 Laramie and that I was coming from 100 miles away to see it. Got there at 1:00 pm and my salesman (Jim) went to get it. 15 minutes later he came back to tell me the dealership owner had it out and would be back in an hour. They lost a sure sale today. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
I found myself in a position with a car that I didn’t need, and that I was underwater on. Jim and his team treated me very fairly and gave me the best price they could come up with, making it as painless as possible. They did this even though I was not ready to buy a car right now from them, which says a lot. I will absolutely be making them my first stop for my next car purchase!
They were great. Gave me a Jeep compass as a rental and I love the rental. I just wish I had a better credit history and more income to buy a car like it. $800-$900 a month just my paycheck alone isnt enough. Even if I include my husbands ssi. ;(
Came in for a new lease. Salesman Jim OMalley was down to earth and helpful with absolutely no discernable hidden agenda. He found me my vehicle, gave me a great deal out the gate, and had me approved within an hour. The experience was smooth from start to finish, and I couldnt ask for much more, honestly.[Expect updated review after my experience with service department in the future]

They have nice cars and people. However, there service department is bad. I took in one car and they misdiagnosed it, charging me $600. Then told me it was another problem and that would be $800 more. Claiming it was brake calipers and that dodge redesigned them. They did not. Simultaneously, I took in another car and it needed a new computer. That, plus work and programming would cost nearly $1,400. I bought the computer programmed with shipping for $341 and I installed it in 5 minutes. I guess their mechanic would’ve made $1,000 in that hour 😂😂. Sometimes it pays to look around or do your own work. Severely disappointed in them. Shady as heck. Good luck to you all out there.

Came to buy a challenger that was listed online and when I got there no one wanted to help me or my girlfriend. We waiting for about 13 minutes before we spoke with anyone about the car. Then we were told the car was a customer order, why would you have a customer order online to be sold? So since we couldnt get the car we wanted we decided to get a Mercedes AMG.

The modern world says they offer good customer service, but most fail due to the fact that they only care about the bottom line. Phil Santiago really does offer great customer service by going way above the call to duty. He calls to make sure we are totally satisfied with our purchases. We in turn, refer our family members to him to buy their vehicles. Phil is a bright star in the world of cut throat sales tactics. He brings back the old way of doing business, which is a very rare thing to see in todays business world. When he sees you, he asks, how are you, and reaches out to shake your hand. But the difference with him is that he really does care how you are doing and feeling. I never though I would ever meet a salesman like him. We will continue to buy our Jeeps from Scranton Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep due to his great customer service.

Terrible!!! Had money stolen out of a vehicle and of course they said they don’t have security cameras where they park the cars!! It was THEIR responsibility to lock the vehicle or they have a thief working among the mechanics!! SLOW SLOW SLOW service - waiting area is basic and there is no sense of urgency to get people in and out . Purchased a new Jeep that needed the pull forward seat handle replaced -I am sitting here almost 2 hours after my appointment and the Jeep has not even been pulled in . In a waiting room full of irate people in the same boat.New purchase survey? Please give us a excellent rating ? I think not!
