Very happy with the service. Of course they’re very professional and know what they’re doing . It is also very friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend them. They get you in and out once you have an appointment scheduled and the communication is excellent.

Bought a car from them, had to come back 3 separate times (hour away drive) because there was vibration in the steering wheel and they couldnt seem to get it right. Mind you each of the 3 times I had to come back I had to wait 4+ hours. Needless to say they pretty much waste your time. Id would avoid this place and buy from somewhere that checks the car over correctly before its put on the lot.

I cannot say enough about the customer service at Toyota of Scranton and Jonathan Lane who helped me today when I got a huge gash in the side of my front tire on the way into the office, merging onto 81 from CS. Tire pressure dropped to 3 by the time I was able to get off at the Main Street exit and pull into the service station. They told me they would shuttle me to work and if one of there shuttles wasn’t available they would pay for an Uber with their company card. They got me a coffee and shuttled me to and from work while my tire was replaced. So compassionate and caring when they really didn’t have to be on a Monday morning. Every single person that I came in contact with there. They made a bad situation an example of impressive customer service.
I bought my car in 2017 here and have been going back for service as needed. ALWAYS, excellent service from ALL employees. They treat you like a family member and explain every detail which I appreciate. The lobby is spacious with comfy chairs, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of NEW magazines. Top it off with a cup of coffee at the bistro and the wait flies by! Highly recommend. Thank You.

Walked in and was greeted immediately by someone with a polite smile and friendly greeting. Explained what I was there to look for, a TRD Off Road 4Runner, and was fortunate enough to find a Off Road Premium version that was brand new. Everyone we worked with was friendly, professional, courteous and went out of their way to make sure we got the best deal. My 4Runner will be the only vehicle I buy for a long time but if I were in the market again I would absolutely go back to Toyota of Scranton.

Buyer beware!!!!I will be posting a very detailed review of my experience from this dealership. It will include documentation with pictures of the vehicle that I ordered, text messages from the sales person claiming the vehicle that I ordered came in and documentation of the vehicle that I received.I am going to post the documents so there is no question that I am making this up or I am just a disgruntled customer.The post will include documents with the specific specs and a picture of the vehicle that I ordered from the sales manager, text messages from the sales person and the pictures of the vehicle that I actually received after all the paperwork was completed and approved.I declined to test drive the vehicle before I bought it, because I had already test drove one at that dealership that was not the color that I wanted. but the specs were the same.I filled out paperwork before looking at the vehicle (which was not any different then what I have done in the past with previous vehicles). I trusted that the paperwork matched the actual vehicle that I purchased. It did not! I did not test drive the vehicle before I bought it, as the sales manager claimed I did. I trusted that the sales girl was giving me the vehicle that I ordered.I will be posting the documents as soon as I get an Ok to do so.
Best dealership! Joe Mercado Jr. did a great job with my new car lease. His knowledge of the car was very helpful and he worked within my budget. Overall, the whole team at Toyota of Scranton were amazing from the purchase to the paperwork and my paperwork was a little more complicated since I live in NY. Everyone was also very friendly and accommodating. They even set up time to walk me through the features of the car since this is my first Toyota. Thank you for making this a great experience! The people here are very nice and professional. The waiting area is comfy...and that is important. I waited for over 3 hours for them to do a 5000 mile - 5 point ck-up, a tire rotation, and put on an inspection sticker on the window. OVER 3 HOURS!! Why???!!!
The Buying experience was excellent, no pressure at all. Sales person was very knowledgeable, friendly, relatable. 5 stars for sales.Service, on the other hand, not so great. Less than 6 months after buying the car, we brought it in for an oil change. Car handled great, drove straight as an arrow. An alignment was suggested. We agreed to the service. Now the car distinctly pulls to the right. Its frustrating. We paid for the service, now they are going to fix it, but this is an additional 2 trips back down with an additional car, time out of our lives, and we likely did not need the alignment to begin with. Not okay. Lost a lot of trust in this business, unfortunately.Edit: Service did reach out to my wife and give her a gas gift card for the inconvenience in a second service and having to take another 2 trips down and back. I left it at 4 stars because an alignment should never throw a car more out of alignment than before.
Went to put a deposit on a new Tacoma when they decided to drop the bomb on me that they are jacking up the price $3,000 above MSRP just for funsies in efforts to take advantage of the consumers during these trying times. I was told that I would not find one going for MSRP anywhere and that everyone was doing it. I only had to go to one other dealer in order to prove that to be false. Motorworld in Wilkes Barre is charging MSRP for all Tacomas except the TRD Pro. I even spoke with a customer there who had just bought one to confirm it was true. I hope Scranton Toyota reaps the extra profits now while they can because this is only going to hurt them long term once everything returns to normal. I know they lost me as a potential customer in the future and Im sure many others will say the same. This is not at all how you want to do business at a time like this and management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I strongly advise to take the extra 30min drive to go to Motorworld, and do not deal with these crooks.

I have never had such a great experience with a dealership. The dealership is 3 hours from me but I went for a particular vehicle and thus far I am happy with the purchase.The only thing i would improve is to have a checklist of things to bring, especially with a trade in. For a first time buyer or someone driving far, the sales person should remind or email a checklist, e.g. add new vehicle to insurance, have person named on title sign title etc. Some of that is common sense if youre in the business but not for new buyers, trade-ins, etcI was very happy with the experience and i would drive 3 hours for my next purchase. The breakfast sandwiches and soup are amazing.
Had a great experience. Brian Burgess was my sales professional and he was excellent. I had a 9am scheduled appointment and he was on time with keys to the trucks we had spoke about earlier. Brian had answers to all my questions. Felt like I was getting a very fair deal on the truck I wanted and we closed the deal quickly. The finance department was very smooth functioning. I was out the door before lunch with my first Tacoma. I will keep my business with Toyota of Scranton with how great my experience was.
Went to look at a car and waited 45 minutes for someone to help me. I was told someone would be right with me, while I watched a group of about 6 employees just standing around talking, so I left. I walked in with such high expectations of this place after so many of my friends had purchased cars from here and told me how great they were. I was left extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service.
Best dealership I have been to. I got an incredible lease deal on a brand new Tacoma. I drove up all the way from NJ to come pick it up. The staff are very friendly. AJ was incredibly nice and honest, which I greatly appreciate. I will definitely be coming here to purchase a new vehicle after my lease is up.

Bought a used car from there. At first it seemed wonderful. Everyone in sales was very pleasant. Going for a scheduled service was subpar. It was assumed that I had a service package when I did not, so I went for a service for them to shrug off my concerns. They couldnt adjust my windshield wipers or my E brake without it costing more money.No one could tell me why my tire pressure light was on. They said itd eventually turn off. One of the mechanics said this! No one noticed that my spare was on the car instead of the matching tire. My mechanic stepfather noticed this months after purchase. Very unhappy with the lack of information given to me to properly care for my car.

Great experience, very friendly and honest (sales department) . I cant wait to get my next car there again! Now for the bad... had a recall on my frame and secondary air injection. I had a $230 bypass harness to stop throwing codes and putting my truck in limp mode. Sent the truck in and informed 2 different people of the bypass. Pick the truck up 4 days later and it is nowhere to be seen. Cant get answers and just keep getting the run around. Update: Finally settled on the harness. They did good on their part.The CRC on the frame is how its supposed to look (coming from a 2nd opinion at another dealership). Just know that this is what it is going to look like, if you have the recall done.

I was looking for a specific Tacoma for a number of months with no luck. Well I found some but multiple dealerships were awful at communicating or just trying to make a deal. Doug at Toyota Of Scranton was straight forward and quick to answer questions and talk trade in numbers and overall fair deal. I got what I felt my Tundra was worth and a very good price for the Tacoma. I was lucky to be able to take my time searching and glad it got me here. And you can definitely consider me a “hates dealerships” person. 48 hours from finding the truck online and driving it home.

This was, by far, the most enjoyable experience I had purchasing a car. Every single person involved was absolutely fantastic. I cant give enough praise to everyone.
I would NOT recommend buying from Toyota of Scranton. I would give the rating 0 stars if I could.They sold me a 4 wheel drive vehicle with no 4wheel drive. Then wouldn’t answer my calls... finally went down in person and waited for 5 hours, only for them to tell me they would order the parts. During this time (several months, and I don’t know how many unreturned calls) I was denied a rental vehicle, even though I paid for a coverage policy which states if they can’t fix the vehicle in a reasonable amount of time, I would be able to have a rental. A policy I didn’t want, but was shoved down my throat, by the way. Several months and many phone calls later, I was told they wouldn’t fix the vehicle.I asked for my money back no less than 6 times... Just the down payment. I was willing to accept a loss on the several thousand I had already paid toward the loan, but they would not refund my money.I was then tossed between salesmen over a few more days, where I was only allowed to look at vehicles in the same price range as the busted one they sold me. Again, I asked for money back. I let them know I had only spent that much on the original vehicle because it was my dream vehicle, I didn’t want to spend that much on something else. Again, I was denied.No mater what I said, they would not refund my money. Not only that, but they treated it as though I was returning a vehicle I didn’t like and I lost value on the price of the original vehicle I bought from them. So, only $3,200 of my original $5000 down payment went towards the “new” vehicle.During these crazy times, I don’t have the energy or the money to go to court. So, being in need of a vehicle, I now own a vehicle that I never wanted... a vehicle that I would have never spent this amount of money on if I had a choice. And the color sucks to boot.Hope this stops someone from making a bad decision. Best of luck...

TLDR: used car buyers beware! I purchased an 09 Toyota Corolla last June with approximately 70k miles for school. In the midst of COVID precautions, I purchased entirely online and didnt see the car until coming into the dealership to sign. The Carfax was clean and I was assured that it had been fully inspected by the dealership. And I TRUSTED that because I know it is a reputable dealership. I have been diligent with oil changes and even had a multi-point inspection done in late November AT Toyota - no issues (image attached). When bringing my vehicle to get inspected at Kost tire a few days ago, I was informed - and shown - that I need a new muffler and that the lateral control arms need to be repaired in order to pass inspection. A repair totaling $1400! I have driven this car for less than a year, put on ~9k miles, and was not even informed that these parts might need to be repaired at my Toyota inspection. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in my experience with Toyota for selling a vehicle like this and for not catching this. I expected a LOT better. As a student with a limited budget - I was NOT expecting this repair and dont even know where I will get the money to complete it.

Do not, and I repeat do not, buy any used vehicles from this dealership. They don’t care to check that it’s a reliable vehicle so they lie and cheat just to get you to buy a car. Junk cars!!!! We just had our 2013 4Runner serviced along with state and omissions inspectionsperformed. Everything went very well. Tiffany Peoples was very thorough and courteous as service advisor and explained what needed to be done, and Jason Palmigiano pleasantly processed the payment and paperwork when I picked up the vehicle. My wife and I were very satisfied with serviceon the 4Runner and the professional atmosphere established by the service staff at TOS.

In 2019 I bought a 2017 Toyota Corolla with a wonderful buying experience. I got called to come in because they wanted to appraise my car and they told me about the deals they have going on with the new corollas. I went down and spoke with Kevin, he asked what I was looking for. I said to him I need something with either 4 wheel drive or AWD. then he asked what I was looking to spend and I told him. Prior to coming in I looked on there website to see what they had. And I seen a 2021 Tacoma TRD PRO. I told him about it and he said okay let me go get the keys. I test drove it and fell in love. Once again the buying experience was excellent and I will definitely be back when the time is right. Thank you for the beautiful truck I can’t be more excited. Kevin was also a great salesmen. I would recommend him 100% to anyone.

I tried calling the dealership on a Monday. I tried service, no answer. I tried the receptionist, no answer. They have an option for customer experience, no answer and it cut me off. I had to check and see if they were open, yup they were. Thinking, Now youve ticked me off and somebody is going to hear it. I just needed a receipt for work they had done on a company car. So, once more I call back and hit the only remaining option number, the body shop. Bernadine answered and saved the day. She explained it was not her job, but said she would do everything possible to help me, and did she. She got me everything I needed and followed up with a call to make sure I received it. Every company needs a Bernadine, that person who says or thinks, its not my job, but Im going to see this through. Thank you Bernadine for being that person today and most likely, everyday. Give that woman a raise and put her in charge of the customer experience.

Would give negative stars if possible. Went to look at a truck on a Saturday. Before arriving at the dealership, I was told over the phone that the truck was available, but had arrived from the factory with some overspray. Looked at and liked the truck. First problem was the offer they made on my trade. It was an absolute joke. It was literally half of what 4-5 other local dealers offered me. So I told them to forget the trade, and work me up a number with cash down. Offer was in my price range. Gave a deposit on the truck. When they asked me when I wanted to pick it up, I said the following Saturday. They immediately made a big deal about that, and said that I would have to pick it up by Thursday, or they would make the vehicle available for sale to someone else. Fine. On Sunday I drove my truck to Delaware to sell to another dealer, so that I would have all the money to put down at signing. Called the dealership Monday afternoon and told them I could pick the truck up on Wednesday. All set! About 15 minutes later, I got a return call from the dealership that the truck would not be ready not only by Wednesday, but not even this week. They claimed to be waiting for approval from Toyota to wet sand and buff the paint, and to replace some rubber and plastic pieces that had overspray on them. Then why were they so adamant that I pick it up by Thursday??? By Wednesday I had heard nothing further from them. After having called multiple times on Wednesday and having no one answer their phone, or return my messages, I went to the dealership in the evening. I told them that this was unacceptable to not return phone calls, and that this whole thing seemed fishy. I was assured by a manager that everything was ok, and that if I wanted an update to call him personally. I went home and waited. Friday afternoon, just before 5, I got a call from another manager stating that Toyota had approved the work, and they would start on it Monday or Tuesday. On Tuesday I called to see if they had started on it, and again had no one answer their phone, or return messages. I called again Wednesday, and after playing the no answer game again and leaving messages, I got a call from one of the managers in the evening, stating that the body shop manager had left for the day, and he had no idea where they were at with the truck. By this point, Im beyond mad. This ordeal had already been going on for nearly 2 weeks, I had no vehicle to drive, and no completion date in sight. Again, something doesnt seem right here. Due to my nervousness and anxiety, I decided to give Independence Toyota in Hazleton a call. The truck I viewed at Scranton Toyota was a 4 cylinder extended cab base model. Independence had a 6 cylinder crew cab TRD Off Road in stock. I asked him to work me up a number for a lease of the same length, same mileage, and same amount of cash down. When he came back with his number for a monthly payment, IT WAS THE SAME AS THE 4 CYLINDER BASE MODEL AT SCRANTON! So not only were they giving me the run around on the truck, they were SCREWING ME ON THE PRICE! I gave Independence a deposit on that truck, and called Scranton to tell them I changed my mind and wanted my deposit back. They said no problem. Well, it WAS a problem again. It took 2+ days to get my money refunded. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. Buyers beware, this place is not giving you the best deal, but trying to screw their customers at every turn! Stay far away from Scranton Toyota unless you have extra money to burn, and have complete patience for bullsh*t! Do yourself a favor, and buy from Independence Toyota. I couldnt be happier with my new truck, my payment, and the complete sales and financing staff.
Terrible snakes!! They will do you dirty . Sold me a certified used vehicle then come to find out its not fully certified! Do not trust this dealership, they will burn you... I traded in 18 tacoma they offered me 24k said they couldnt offer anymore, a week later they have my same truck I traded in for sale for 32500 then sold me a certified used vehicle and the transmission differntal transfer case ect, came up require immediate attention!! Which is part of there 160 multipoint inspection!! Im looking into legal action as the dealership wouldnt work with me to try to satisfying my issues THEY DONT CARE....... BUYERS BEWARE

Every time before this (at other dealers) I’ve dreaded every moment spent with a pushy salesperson and always left full of anxiety. Sylvia and the rest of the Toyota staff were so patient, respectful, friendly, professional, and helpful. Zero stress experience! I love my new ride and will be recommending Toyota of Scranton to everyone I know looking to buy.
All of the staff from sales to mechanics are very friendly and helpful. I originally was there just to help my Mom get some work done on her car. My plan for myself was to get another year out of the car I have. I asked just out of curiosity if they had any preowned standard transmission cars not really expecting to find one. Preowned standards are kind of hard to come by. They had one, and I fell in love with it. The salesman (Doug) got me through the problem that info I needed was in my car at home because, again, drove Mom over to get work done, wasnt planning a purchase that day😊. Very helpful and patient.

Service is the absolute worst. I bought my truck from this dealership two months ago. The “maintenance required” light came on and they told me to come in for a 20,000 mile inspection. I arrived at the dealership at 12:45. I waited patiently for 4 hours in the waiting area. No one ever approached me to tell me what was happening to my vehicle. I finally went to the receptionist to inquire about my car, they told me to come back in a few minutes. Immediately after that I suddenly received a text message welcoming me to the service department, mind you this was 4 hours after I arrived. I waited another 30 minutes before returning to the receptionist to inquire about my car again. I was told it would be ready “in a few minutes”. Finally at 6:00 a very apologetic service person came out and told me somehow my car had fallen through the cracks and offered me a free state inspection, which I declined. When I returned to my car I discovered the “maintenance required” light was still illuminated on my dashboard! The very reason I made the appointment in the first place had not been fixed! I had to go back inside and request somebody reset the light.Total time wasted for a simple service call: 5 hours and 15 minutes. I have my doubts whether any kind of work was done to my vehicle at all.

After spending 6500.00 and coming in for inspection stickers I dont pass? Sadly, every time a different worker puts my car up on a lift they find something else wrong with my car and the charges are in the thousands. Who can afford it?

Car buying is usually a process that comes with a headache. That is not the case with Toyota of Scranton. They made my car buying experience easy and painless. A relief compared to other car dealerships, Joe Jr took great care of my wife and I . The receptionist Tara was extremely accommodating and helpful. My only complaints is no vending machines for after Dunkin Donuts closes and the amount of salesmen make ya feel uncomfortable, if ya walk in there are 3 standing by the doors on your way in (can I help you, can I help you ) even when they know you were there with another salesman it’s like vultures. Danny in service was amazing.
My fiancée and i had a great experience there yesterday getting maintenance done to our car. This was our first time here as we bought our toyota from MotorWorld who I do NOT recommend. All our further transactions will be held here. They are very helpful and friendly and the dealership is beautiful and clean. Their café had great food and drinks as well. We had a great overall experience.

We have our second lease with Toyota of Scranton and think very highly of the great sales team. The service department is equally stellar. I schedule maintenance online, usually able to get a time the next day and sometimes even the day of. Never more than 45min-1hr for standard factory packages. The waiting area is the best around. Large, comfortable seating. Kids Zone with toys and iPads. Newly added Zuppa del Giorno cafe with breakfast options, salads and hot paninis for lunch and coffee/tea. Keep up the great work!
I was in constant communication over the course of a day, looking to quickly make a purchase on a new vehicle with the sales team, including a sales manager, and their F&I manager about a car listed at about $4k off MSRP on their website.Each of them assured me that the price was accurate as they do not have much interest locally in the vehicle I was about to purchase.I was quoted an out the door price including the discount.However, when the buyers order was sent to me, the new out the door price was up $4k, with the vehicles line item back at original MSRP.Id advise any potential buyers reading this to take your hard earned money elsewhere, to an honest dealership, staffed by people who honor an agreement.

Bought a car here cash. Process went well but they told me the last owner was mailing in the second key with the title. They lost the key and its almost impossible to have anyone call me back. They got the sale and have my money and I feel like they dont care to fix this.Update: its been a month and still dont have a key. Have made many calls but no one ever calls me back.
Great experience at Toyota collision center. Worked with Bernadine and Carol. Truck was done on time and done right. Even the interior and floor mats were cleaned. Practicing social distancing and more for customer peace of mind. Very positive experience. Thank you.
