Everytown needs a great place like this you get great deals certain things you may not find in the store or thats discontinued they may have. They also have great staff never had no problems great people there I also cash my checks there and they have a nice little selection of coins and some quality jewelry and a large variety music instruments all I got to say is this place is awesome thanks for your help when I was in need money they was always very great with getting as close as they could to your number very accommodating thanks trading Post 💯💪🏾 💪🏾💪🏾

Been there several times very processional. Have great prices and over all like the staff. I haven’t had not one bad experience so far . And I’ve brought and sold things and also cashed my check there.

It seems to me that every negative review for the Trading Post is from someone who is mad that they didnt get their way. Just because you were planning on selling your guitar to pay your rent doesnt mean they are obligated to pay you the amount you need. This place is a business. If they gave everyone what they all think their junk is worth it would be a charity, not a pawn shop. Ive done business with these guys dozens of times and they are straight shooters. Try treating them with a little respect next time, you might not get your feelings hurt.

Have a pawn there that l need to get & when l tried to call, it says disconnected. If theyre closed like it says, where are the pawns they had at?

We have patronized many Pawn Shops in several states to buy and sell. This is by far the cleanest, best kept store. Rob is both friendly and professional. Will definitely be returning customers. Highly recommended.

I love this place for a few reasons...#1 They dont put up with nonsense... At the end of the day its a business ppl take it to personal when they think their junk is a gold mine and the store knows they will have to sit on it#2 Great stuff to buy.. I purchased a TV among other things here all worked great#3 I as everyone does runs short on cash I pawned something very important to me and lost the ticket not a problem they are great they even mailed me a letter when it needed to be picked up byBottom line is Rob runs a top notch place I dont even live in Scranton and I continue to take the extra drive

I love the shop... The guy is very friendly and funny. He made our wait worth it with the jokes and laugher. We actually had a great chat and time.. Definitely going back! I just wish that they kept you in the system if you cashed a check here because I cash a check and lost my ID and now Im screwed... But thats my issue not on their part.. But overall a WONDERFUL place

They do give very good prices and great deals on really nice, expensive, and higher end items. I rated this place as just okay (3 Stars) because its a pretty tiny place so it doesnt have the biggest selection of products or much room to move around if it happens to get a little busy and also the biggest and main reason for my 3 Stars rating is if you do happen to have items that you want to sell they will look up the current going price for the item and offer you a very, very, insulting low percentage of that going price value. Heres a real quick example for ya, I had an item going for roughly $350 give or take in the same condition as mine and they actually had the s*** to offer me $48.00 for it!!!! Lol....

I have been dealing with the Steamtown Trading Post since 1997. In all this time I have never had a bad experience. The staff is always curtious and professional in dealing with their customers. I feel that the prices they charge are more than reasonable and when selling items to them they are more then fair. I strongly recommend this establishment to all. I will not deal with other similar establishments. 5 Star rating

They claim to offer Check Cashing but refuse to cash checks from banks that arent local. With more companies outsourcing Payroll Departments, more local citizens are going to have checks from out of area banks. They should post signs or at least inform potential customers of this on their website. Will never buy/sell anything there again because of this.

Has good items in good condition for good prices. I love looking for new things every few weeks. Its excellent.

Website says they buy diamonds, sign on their store says they buy diamonds. I go into the store and the guy at the counter says they do not buy diamonds. Please update your website and store signs to be accurate.

Your HDMI cable must be a bit more worn out than mine 🤷🏼‍♂️.Its kinda funny because I wasnt aware that I can change the setting in order to to make the HDMI work in both ports, but watching you try and not get a connection taught me how to make both ports work for my Xbox 🤣.

Im quite low on gas at present so i Called prior to going to this shop to potentially save myself a trip and told the woman i had a bunch of dvds and if they were interested, she then told me to come down. i parked at the walked over with my roomate who was carrying the tote, we walked in and the man behind the counter looked at us confused i mentioned we brought the dvds and he told us he had no interest without even glancing over them and blew us off even when i mentioned i had spoke with someone on the phone prior. i think anyone in their right mind would find very unprofessional. when someone calls prior they have a reason for not wanting to waste gas and time out of their day and if you are running a buisness for 28 years and dont understand this you must be mentally retarded. goto Jeffs(edit reply to trading post)no you did not take a look at them you saw one cover through an opaque tote after the woman on the phone told me to bring them down. had you actually opened it and looked through what was much more than a frasier boxed set. you just didnt want to deal with dvds that day and apparently did not inform any of you coworkers who are responsible for taking calls. you can try and justify your poor unprofessional attitude through words but your actions speak volumes. stick to jeffs as i said at least hell take a look at something you bring him after calling and setting it up and not tell you to comedown then take a half assd glance at the items and act liek you had no idea what was going on.
