We have a few cars that need help once in a while and they are very close to where I live. Convenient, and have found thru the few years we have used them that they truly are honest and hard working. I have a newer car 2018 with under 10K miles they have not touched but I have issues with the battery, and security. They told my husband that if ever it does that again, they will come right then to help free of charge. Thats so kind! And... you never hear those word either. My opinion of them is still 100% great.

Called and asked if they do VIN inspection. They do not. The person on the phone took the time to call DMV and then call me back with everything I needed to get my VIN verified. Great customer service.

Great service. Good rates. Friendly staff. Took my Mercedes here a couple days ago and got a water pump replaced. Employees even offered to show me the old water pump and explained why it needed to be replaced. Best shop in OC!

First time in 41 years I have come here. Learned they use to own Chevron on main St. I needed to get smog check and called they where nice on the phone. When I came in they seemed helpful and did not try to upsale anything. Did my smog in about an hour. Good price and great small town feel service. I WILL come here from now on.

I needed a new water pump,I didnt have time to take my vehicle to my mechanic who is very reasonable.Regardless I asked every thing including taxes total bill no hidden anything,he said $410 out the door.I said do it, next day they call me tell me my hoses are bad and I need a new thermostat.I ask them how much for the job?They say another $190,I tell them you already removed my hoses and the thermostat is only 2 bolts to remove.If you replace new hoses instead of my original hoses its the same thing.And two hoses plus a thermostat is around $50.He says $190 I tell him dont do it.So two weeks later I by 2 hoses and thermostat $52,I install, I test my origional thermostat and it is fine,also my hoses were fine nothing wrong. They replaced all of my clamps and billed me, the old clamps were fine .The mechanic left one of my spring compression clamps in the middle of my heater hose, eventually this would have pierced through the hose and would have caused serious damage.Intentional or mistake?When I paid my check, instead of $410 it was $460,also I heard this old lady in a compact car ask how much for a battery installed, he told her $200 messed up stuff

It is so reassuring to have a place like 16th St. Garage to take your car for regular service or for repairs. They always give an honest estimate and work. If for some reason there is some specific aspect of car repair they are not capable of doing, they will recommend an equally honest specialist. This was the case for me one time. They referred me to a specialist in Long Beach because they didnt think they had fixed the problem. I left my car with the specialist and when he looked at it he told me 16th St. had actually fixed it! He could have told me he had done $$$$ worth of work and I would have had no way of knowing otherwise. We take several family cars there and always receive friendly, honest, helpful service! When it is time for maintenace they check with the auto maker recommendations for your mileage and if that service is needed they recommend you do it! If your brakes dont really need to be rotated or replaced they tell you that it can safely wait until the next service. Previous reviewers are absolutely right - no where better to go in this area!!!
