AVOID THIS PLACE. The people here are extremely rude and nasty. Ive been in here four times and Ive regretted it every single time. If there was anywhere else nearby I would go there, and gladly pay more to avoid this horrible place. The last time I went there I ordered a part, came back the next day and they couldnt find any record of it. Turns out they had a totally different name and acted all condescending like it was my fault they cant keep their records straight.

I am out of town and ordered a starter for my sons car. Christina has no sympathy for anyone. My son forgot his ID in his broken car. She would not accept any other form of ID nor would she release the starter with my approval that he is authorized to do so. I sincerely hope life throws this excuse of an employee a huge curve ball and puts her in this situation. Just bad customer service all around.

I went to Advance Auto Parts twice when UPS left notes on our door. These folks are so friendly and helpful, both in person or on the phone. There is plenty of parking, conveniently located for residents of West Seattle and the Admiral District.Im grateful that they work with UPS so we did not have to drive to SoDo, about a ten-mile trip with the West Seattle Bridge closed.I saw some great mark-down prices on sale items such as motor oil, too!

The staff here was very helpful. I talked with a girl on the phone who was very polite and helpful. She answered all my questions I had for ordering a car battery online and coming in to have it installed. When I finally got to the store, I only waited a few moments before Rick helped me out. He too was nice and helpful, he grabbed his tools and had my battery changed in a few short minutes. Would recommend again based on my experience today.

Went in to buy a tool and for a relatively small store, they had the part.

Normally I like going into the West Seattle Advanced Auto Parts Store to escape the yuppiness that surrounds the area, it is like my safe place.Well tonight I placed my order online for in store pickup. I placed the order under Danny Doe, when my legal name is John Daniel Doe. It is not until you receive the confirmation email that says the names must match. The clerk would not give me my order. Doh!Seriously use some common sense people.

Great staff. Most of them really know their business with the advanced operation of vehicles and the specific mechanics of each type of engine, car, or issue. Thats above and beyond. Showed up late and they helped me like I was the first customer of the day. Great experience with a new parts store.

This is a Great GREAT store. The staff is so helpful. The manager helped to show me where to fill the fluids yesterday. Even helped with a funnel.They have a customer for life from me. Lots of parts and items. Reasonable prices too.

Such a good group of staff. Went in here after swinging by Pep Boys (to get a second opinion) and it seems like Pep Boys just wanted my money. These people will give you the honest answer even if it means losing out on a sale. Ill be going here from now on

I ordered a battery online and tried to pick it up in this store. The first staff didnt know where to find the battery. And the second staff found it and doesnt give the order to me simply because I used my nick name for this order. I brought the order email, my ID and my credit card. My last name and the addresses match. They just canceled my order immediately without asking me. It seems that they dont want to work and dont care about their business at all.

Been here a few times for tools and car parts. Theyre always very helpful and I can depend on them to have what Im looking for.

Nice staff. I learned that you can borrow certain tools (such as a socket set, as I did) for two weeks and then return them. You purchase their loaner set, use it for whatever youre needing it for, return it within the two week rental period, and then bring it back for a complete refund of the purchase price. No need to worry about them not accepting the return due to the item being used, since that was the purpose of the set you purchased. I did find that their prices were higher on some items compared to other stores though. Like when I needed a new bulb for my brake lights, a two bulb pack cost me $6.99, whereas I found a comparable two bulb pack at Fred Meyer a couple days later for only $3.49, and therefore I ended up returning the pack I bought from this store. Still, friendly and understanding service people (especially when dealing with returns) is appreciated.

Dont expect good customer service. My girl was having car trouble that seemed to be a battery or alternator issue. Called and spoke to a nice enough guy who verified that, yes they could test for a battery issue. The next morning however the only employee working at the time said that yes they could help but that shed have to wait until another employee showed up. Well once this clown showed up, he advised that no, Advanced Auto Parts does no such thing and would not be able to assist with any diagnosis. People working with this mentality means getting correct answers and more importantly correct parts will be next to impossible.Spare yourself and use Rock Auto.

This rating is for the West Seattle store only! The Lynnwood and Everett locations are great!I drive German cars, usually BMWs, and Advance is the only place that always has what I want as far as brands of parts go. Their prices are pretty much the same as found online, if not sometimes just a tiny bit more, but thats ok for instant gratification.Lynnwood and Everett locations have always been friendly and know their stuff, but the West Seattle store is the opposite. To be fair it couldve been just this one employee, but that one employee made it so Ill never use the West Seattle store and Ill recommend that no one else does either. I live in Seattle and will drive the extra distance to Lynnwood.
