They have plenty of wigs and right now everything is 50 % off because they are moving to a smaller place next door. We have lost a lot of good businesses from this Corona virus! Thats too bad.

Outside the sign says under new management, so I dont know how long the new people have been there, but they were friendly and didnt follow me around. Its sad that I even have to mention that, but that has been my experience in some black hair stores. I felt comfortable here. The selection is pretty huge considering how the building looks from the outside. Their collection of wigs and drawstring ponies appear to be the best quality out of the other shops Ive seen around here. The wigs on display are well cared for and trendy--not outdated ones theyve been trying to sell for years. I will come back, even if it means bypassing my usual beauty supply stores to get there. Service and selection make it worth it!!

Not sure why, but this is still my favorite beauty supply in the South End. Even though it changes owners all the time, the store itself doesnt seem to change much. Maybe because its bigger than a lot of other places? I was looking for Havana hair, and they only had Marley -- but in a good selection of colors. I like the 27/613 combo mixed with plain 27 and the light gray and they always have all of those in stock. Plus a whole aisle of crochet. Lots and lots of product​ and a wall of beads, barrettes and other hair stuff for little girls.

The owner stayed open late for me when I showed up at closing time. Very good service, good selection. I Recommend strongly.

I was like a kid In a candy store. Wide variety selection of wigs to choose from and the price was just right!! Bout two piece a couple days ago and going back today for more.

The man and lady were so helpful and kind. I immediately recognized the man from another hair store I used to go to, and he was so amazing. They have a great selection of hair and this is the only place I go to now

I searched everywhere for hair products for my locks: nowhere was had what I needed, then I was introduced to this place - somewhere I passed so often and just never figured. Once I got inside, I was warmly greeted and directed based on my queries. Pleasant ambiance, good customer service, wide variety of products, good price and great value.

I tried coming here with my niece and we were treated very poorly, will not be coming back anytime soon.

The last time I went to this store, the cashier tried to force me to use my Visa bank card as a debit. I told her I did NOT want to do that, and that I have used it as a credit card, as in without the pin, numerous times. I do this because my card information has been stolen many times. She then complained and said she would have to force the computer to use it as credit. She then took my card for a long time and keyed in the number. Then this cashier went on to tell me Your card is probably in the dark web. Thats why it keeps getting stolen. Its on the dark web!I dont want to hear any conspiracy theories about my card by some random cashier who doesnt know how the use the stores checkout system. Like I said, I only use that card as credit, not debt. But her taking my card to key in the number and talking about the dark web and the things people steal on it made me think she wanted to steal my information as well. I have never been back, nor will I ever be back.

This review is for the Hair Salon at the back of the store...Wow, it is amazing to finally find a Natural Hair Salon that is serious about its customers in the Pacific Northwest!!! I went in yesterday (Nov. 23rd, 2014 - YES, it is open on Sundays!!!), and Jamila was EXCELLENT! She is VERY attentive and asks all the pertinent questions upfront AND all through the process to ensure that her customer is satisfied with the result. She has definitely found a new customer; and it is SO worth the hike from BC! Thanks Jamila!!!!

Its very big and have a wide selection of braiding/crochet hair but there selection of hair products wasnt good at all there was barely any!

Theyre always watching black people and the prices should be lower along with using the proper merchandise stocked.

I just bought some hair extensions very very kind of new worker there she understood the products and she turned me on to a new one so I had a good experience

Im not sure about their hair stylist but the sales associates are AMAZING! Nice Asian women, answered all my questions, no complaints didnt force me to buy, she even suggest that I gave it some time, look at other stores and then if I wanted to come back and see her! Plus there deals on hair are unbeatable. I just bought 3 bundles of straight 1b hair, some off brand for 10 each and it looks great. I can even curl it! I WILL BE RETURNING FOR ALL OF MY BEAUTY NEEDS :)

Great selection of beauty products for all hair types

Ive been to almost every beauty supply in the greater Seattle area and this one is my favorite by far.. First of all they let me try on every.single. wig my heart desired (as long as I bought a wig cap prior and kept it on my head the entire time i was trying them on).. the lady who was helping me was so patient and so kind and incredibly helpful. Ill admit Im not the easiest customer especially in a place like this, I kind of loose it haha.. I probably spent at least an hour trying on different wigs and the entire time I didnt feel one single bit of animosity or impatience or disrespect coming from any of the staff. All of my questions were answered promptly and the staff continued to provide me with exeptional quality customer service until I literally walked out of the store.. all of the other beauty supply stores in the city should really take note because this is how you create repeat business and lifelong customers... Not to mention Ive received compliment after complement in regards to my hair along with reccommending Living Color to everyone who has asked me where I got my hair from..Obviously Ill be back.One thing though, I really wish they had more ponty tail pieces to choose from.. I guess I came in on a shipment day and there wasnt a selection of blond pony tails what so ever.. honestly I found ONE, and it was short with an extremely tight curl pattern..

They literally ran out of edge control!.. I had to go around the corner to hair art on Henderson. They had loads of it!..

I Love In Living Color Beauty Supply, Ive been going to them for a few years now and have watched them change management, they have a variety of stuff, but the staff makes you feel uncomfortable like youre trying to come in and steal from them, I know in this day and age they have to protect their store, but dont make the customers feel uncomfortable or they wont return

Great selection!!! None of the staff asked if I needed help finding anything, but when I asked they were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Becoming unhappy with them. Them dont have the wigs they use to have and its not because they sale out of them. Its because they kept lying about the order and was never ordering any wigs in the color I wanted and had bought from them to begin with. Went to all the way to Federal Way to get what I wanted. Not a happy person!!!

I purchased an item and gave the cashier cash transaction. The cashier gave me back the wrong change. Alerted the cashier about the much lesser change given to me and the manager refused to make up the difference and the cashier denied receiving a much larger bill when purchasing the item. They took extra cash from me and I will no longer purchase any items there.
