Joe and his team took great care of us and our boat. Thorough and conscientious, calling to check in with estimates and recommendations on additional items they found. We have used them several times, including to prep a boat for a trip to Australia. I fully trust their work!

I heard lots of good things about this boat yard but unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience so far, after calling them many times finally joe came on my boat to give me an estimate, he said he will be back to me in few days ! It’s been a month and I almost called them every other day and left voice mail talk to the receptionist but no estimate what so ever !!! I’m really frustrated with the way they are handling their business!!

I called few boat yard and left message for a question. The next day, Joe Miller called me back and answered my detail questions. The 2nd week, I met him in the 2019 Boat Show in Seattle. I asked him more detail questions about my project. He was very patiently explain it to me. His very knowledgeable answers made me have confidence to complete the project on my own. The next week, I had another issue raised up. I sent him email with pictures. He emailed me back with information of where to buy the necessary tool and how to do it. He didnt get paid for all the free information he gave out to me. The way, Joe was conducting his business earned him another loyal customer from now on. Many thanks Joe for all the advice you gave me.

Our experience with Joe at Miller and Miller Boatyard was excellent from start to finish. He went over the same day I called to look at our boat and provide a written estimate. Then, he was extremely patient and flexible when I had to keep calling and changing the date for our repairs. When we got the boat to them, he and his team did the repairs in a timely and skilled manner. Then, he let us use his dock to load our boat so that we could leave right away on our vacation to the San Juans. He was super organized, kind and knowledgeable. He returned calls and emails promptly. Also, the boatyard, dock and workshop were clean and pleasant.

We had such a great experience with Joe at Miller & Miller Boatyard! Our Heat/AC had lost its prime on a 90* day as we were headed out to the San Juan’s for two weeks. On a spur of the moment, he was able to meet us on their dock and had it up and running again in no time. And bonus, he was such a kind and honest person. Thank you Joe!!!

Joe and his team did a lot of the mechanical work on our Hans Christian before we sailed it from Seattle to Australia. They did great work and kept us informed on the progress. I also felt like they were prudent with our money and gave us good advice. Their work held up great on the 8300 mile trip. Earned my trust and will definitely go back to them.Eric

Wow. Where do I start. M and M did my new radar and AIS. They expertly tucked the new wiring in the valences. The components were flawless and I took a trip up to the San Juan’s and everything was perfect. These guys are amazing!

I recently brought my sailboat to Miller and Miller Boatyard for some work on the plumbing. The work done was very high quality and exceeded my expectations and met the estimates I had received. When I stopped by the yard to pick up a few things from the boat, the staff were extremely friendly, showed me what they were doing on the boat, and even lent a hand carrying the larger items back to my car. Days before I was to drop my boat off, I ran into engine issues. Despite it being such short notice, Joe Miller went out of his way to reach out to different marinas that could come out while the boat was the yard to take a look and address my issues. I will certainly use Miller and Miller again in the future!

We have a classic (1969) Grand Banks 42 that was originally my fathers. For the past 20 years (when the boat moved from San Diego to Seattle) Miller and Miller have been the point folks for maintenance and upgrades. They are outstanding!! As one would expect, there is a lot of original equipment still on the boat meaning there are a lot of quirks. Over the years, the various folk with specific expertise have mastered the quirks, and the boat has never run better!! Its really amazing; she doesnt look or feel 45. And she has many more years to go as long as M and M are in charge of maintenance.

Miller and Miller boatyard installed a whole suite of Simrad equipment for us - radar, multifunction display, VHF with AIS, Wi-Fi hub, and autopilot. It all worked great, except for the radio, which would periodically reboot itself, losing its settings. Simrad shrugged their shoulders and talked about an eventual software update. So we went to an Icom radio with an NMEA 2000 interface - but it showed all ships (on the chartplotter) as going north - including the ones backing down the southbound traffic lanes. Icom was puzzled. Joe suggested a Standard Horizon VHF with AIS, and it turned out to be NMEA 0183... So a converter had to be found. The wonderful thing was that Miller and Miller stuck with us through the whole ordeal - they didnt stop answering their phone after the 20th call from me, and they - Joe in particular - remained completely engaged until a solution was found. It was a pleasure working with them. Professionalism, commitment to the customer, technical skill - I cant say enough good things!
