I was looking for a faucet part this was the 5th stop. The person over the phone didnt know what I was talking about so I drove in and he took one look at it and directed me to the lighting dept at a big box store. I did and it did not work. It seemed he wanted to help as little as possible to someone who obviously needed expertise. Will not go back here again if I can avoid it.
Love working with these folks. Great customer service, helpful suggestions and they always try to find us the products we want at a fair price.
They got me a great product for clearing my drains and maintaining them. They are great help
Lightning fast, expert service on collapsed sewer. Had me back in business literally overnight. Consult was fast, but completely thorough to aid decision making.
Dean arrived promptly at 8:30 as scheduled with Jess. Checked everything out and replaced our garbage disposal as planned and cleaned-up. Explained everything, gave us a few tips on maintenance, took payment, and was on his way. Super nice guy. Thanks for the quick service Dean!
As I embarked on my first DIY bathroom remodel, I knew I would need some plumbing advice. What I didnt expect was how incredibly helpful the team at Aurora Plumbing would be. After striking out at the nearby Big Box stores both in terms of inventory and suggestions of strategies to make my new bathtub/shower and sink work, a friend suggested I try Aurora. I was fully prepared to be gently mocked and questioned for my belief I could do it myself, instead I was given all the support, parts and creative ideas I needed, all of which worked perfectly. To top it all off, when I reached my FINAL step of remodel by putting in the new tub spout, only to have it leak and not fit, I went back, fully defeated ready for whatever they could do to help me, no matter the cost. There, Sean M., listened carefully to my issue, looked closely at my part (that I didnt purchase at Aurora but previously at a Big Box), went into the back room very focused with a handful of tools. He returned 5 minutes later, with the part all clean and fixed and then provided detailed instructions on how to make it fit at home.I REPEAT: HE FIXED A PART THAT WASNT EVEN FROM THEM.I dont know when I will try something like this again, but I am customer for life now.
Very helpful staff, and better in person selection than Lowes or Home depot for plumbing specific items. Sean was especially helpful in providing product and installation recommendations.
My kitchen drain clogged and being someone who likes to fix things myself, i tried to snake it. I couldnt clear it so I called Aurora Plumbing. Devin showed up the same day. It took a little effort, but Devin cleared the blockage. He was friendly, courteous, and very professional. I am a customer for life.Bruce J
So helpful. So knowledgeable. Skip the big box stores and go ask the pros.Ive never had a problem or a repair that they didnt walk me through and provide all the parts, tools, and necessary information.I cannot thank them enough.
Excellent customer service. I was looking for a special part. The man send me a picture to my email so I could confirm with my plumber that it was correct before driving to Seattle. Staff was super friendly when I got there. Would highly recommend. Thank you
Will was so awesome! He came out to fix my bathroom sink and bathtub and even told me how to fix it next time the clogged drains occur next time. He was so helpful and efficient! I highly recommend Aurora Plumbing as well as Will!! Thank you so much!!
They have the parts and share all the information you need. Very professional!!
I have had multiple interactions with this company, and they have all been excellent. The first was several years ago, and the details escape me now, but it was positive enough that I reached out to them again last year when I was looking for some drain part. What I needed was no longer manufactured, but they went out of their way to locate a replacement and then told me to obtain it AT NO FINANCIAL BENEFIT TO THEMSELVES.So, when a sprayer in my shower suddenly started leaking (after I turned the house water back on after being out town, which I was told probably contributed), I called them. The “leak” was more like a steady stream, at something like 3-4 gallons per hour, so I didn’t want to leave the water pressure on. But they were backed up with other emergencies and couldn’t get out to my house for nearly a week.Nevertheless, they talked me through solving the problem completely on my own. First, they correctly diagnosed it as the sprayer valve, and then they helped me identify the brand of the hardware, using emailed photos, since there was no logo on it. Then they located the sprayer valve, which, incidentally, had been discontinued. Finally, they sent me a schematic on how to install it. I even had to call back during the installation because at first I wasn’t sure how to disassemble the parts and then I doubted that they had really given me the right part. And because this played out over a couple of days, I ended up dealing with a second technician, besides the front office person. And to my surprise, he was just as helpful as they had been.Incidentally, they explained their fee schedule right from the start, and I’m sure that some will think that it’s high. Those types will chose to ignore the value of technically trained people who know what they are doing and who do it efficiently and correctly the first time. They will also overlook the extensive overhead of a business like this, as if the hourly rate is going straight into someone’s pocket. But above all, they will overlook the service that this company consistently delivers, especially when a customer really needs it and when this business stands to gain nothing at all for providing that much needed service.James McCullough
I dont know much about plumbing, but try to fix the simple leaks, etc, around my house. The people at Aurora Plumbing are soooo helpful. A million times better than the Home Depot down the street.
Small selection and talk about product mark up... dang! We went in to look for a shower fixture in matte black and we could not believe what this place was charging. The valve alone they were trying to sell us was four times the price than at Lowes or even Amazon. I love supporting a small business but Aurora Plumbing is literally gouging their customers. I appreciate their associates knowledge and honesty but I would not purchase from here knowing I can get the exact same parts elsewhere for half or even a third of their prices. I know Amazon is taking away money from these small businesses but shoot, I would like to have some money leftover in my budget.
Done a few visits here. Knowledgeable and honest about what you need. They dont recommend anything that they themselves would not use in their own house. Will go and pick out the right parts and tell you how to finish your job.
Had a minor faucet issue, called ahead to make sure they had the right part and they were super friendly and helpful without remotely making me feel bad about not knowing how to describe the parts beyond the brand. When I showed up in person to pick up, Matt in the Parts Department had the relevant piece pulled already and and was happy to show me how to assemble and fix it. Excited to go back next time the right project pops up so I can learn more from this place with such nice, welcoming people.
Stopped in for a quick answer to a question. Travis (?) answered my question, got me the part I needed and I was done.Cant ask for much more than that.Highly recommended .
I have had the pleasure of working with Aurora Plumbing for several years now at two Condo Associations in Seattle. Their consistency and their commitment to their clients needs are excellent. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Will and Denzyl and their knowledge, customer service and integrity were first class. From the first person who answers the phone, to the good bye once the job is completed is always rewarding. Congratulations Aurora Plumbing. You ROCK!!
The company responded the next day after my call. Ryan came and inspected the problem and proposed several options. I accepted the option for him to use his camera to find the sink drain plug in the plumbing. He used the rotary electric snake and cleared the blockage. In two hours the problem was gone and a fair price charged for the work. Ryan is a good technician.
The parts department here is top notch. I brought in a European tap that needed adapters to fit US angle stops and Mathew not only found the parts but put it together and bench tested right then and there! Plus they’re a full on showroom for bath and kitchen.I highly recommend this business!
Great experience with Aurora Plumbing today. Will was super kind and helpful!
Very helpful. The place you go of you need special parts and helpful associates.
Great company - customer service and quality of work are excellent! Kudos to Dean, Cheyenne, and Will...
These guys always help me with really sticky plumbing problems!
Im not a plumber by trade, but Im a handy guy. When I came out of my house this week and saw a little geyser in my driveway from where my water main had burst, I had a mini emergency. I honestly went to Aurora Plumbing Supply because they were the closest of that type of store to me and I thought I would be able to pick someones brain on what to do. I was blown away by the thoughtfulness, inquisitiveness, helpfulness, and generosity of everyone I worked with there. Partly because I had to go back like 4 times in two days since I was learning and messing up a lot is what allowed me to interact with so many people there, but I can say with confidence that the service I received was not just the fluke of one good employee, but that the whole organization seems to be a well run business with employees who care and know their trade well. I really appreciated the service I received and will be going back whenever I have plumbing needs (which I honestly hope isnt anytime soon).
I had a great experience - they are friendly, knowledgeable, and the products we got are great! I would highly recommend them for your plumbing and electric needs.
Will was professional, friendly, and thorough. Id recommend Will and Aurora Plumbing to anyone!
I will give them one star for being on time. We called for a leak in the ceiling that was no longer leaking on the day of the appointment. Guy basically said, nothing is leaking, I cant do anything. I spelled out what was going on, where water was coming from, where ceiling was completely soft at the time, etc. Nothing is leaking, it is dry now, I cant do anything. Refused to invoice the HOA for the travel time. My comment was who do I call if there is water leaking inside the walls if not a plumber? His response was you call a plumber. Yeah, I did.
Joel helped me with a very difficult size up for a hose fitting that wasnt standard. He not only found the best fit but also made sure all the threads were wrapped with Teflon tape and did a water test for leaks! Great service! Thank you
The customer service was terrible! I explained to the girl working what type of kitchen sink and faucet I needed and all of my questions were met with rude, short responses. There was no one else in the store so they weren’t busy. I shopped here for my kitchen remodel a few years ago and the gentleman who helped me was awesome! Things have gone downhill. I found what I needed on Amazon instead and it will be delivered to my doorstep next week and no cranky customer service to deal with.
Huge number of products, sharp and personable staff making worth driving down from Mill Creek.
I remembered my plumber recommending this place years ago, so when I had a plumbing project to tackle, I came here. Marie was great help; she helped me figure out and grab all the parts I need. I was able to get the project successfully completed quickly and well. This place has the kind of personal service you can’t get at the big box stores. I will definitely be back next time!
These guys are experts! They absolutely no plumbing and they never try to up sell you. Theyre all experienced and are professional and are always looking out for whats best for the customer. Always the place to go. You will never go wrong here.
$418 for absolutely nothing! I called for a low water pressure issue in my kitchen sink and after watching Dean try 3 times to reattach the faucet handles he had removed, he finally figured out how to get the water to turn off on the fourth try!! Then he said he didnt know what the problem was but I should replace the faucet. Thanks for NOTHING! He left saying he diagnosed problem. I guess I should call a plumber to fix it! Total RIPOFF. LEARN YOUR TRADE DEAN.
Excellent floor displays showing all that was available. Great prices on product lines, however the install prices negated your savings and then some. Too bad, I had money to spend.
Great Service and Super Quick on know what I needed. Tanks Aurora Plumbing
Always the best exact parts every time! Dont bother wasting your time at home Depot. Just go straight to Aurora plumbing.
Called today no wait the Gentleman on the phone explained everything to me polite and didnt rush . They have curbside pickup and are very helpful. Sounds like a Real Pluming Store! They have been there for years! Must be a reason ! Excellent customer Service!
This is hands-down the best plumbing store! They are always eager to help and are very knowledgeable in just about every plumbing related category. from when I walked in the door to cashing out, always a pleasure to work with these guys(and girls)
Great service, good prices, very convenient
Great attentive service (Amber), amazing selection, good prices, local & family-owned.
I needed to replace my center shower valve so I removed it & brought it in. I wish I knew the service person’s name because he really went above & beyond my expectations.First- he let me know that I didn’t need a whole valve, just a replacement washer, which he removed and replaced for free.Second- I told him I wanted to replace the valve stop, so he found the matching stop and then custom ground a stop removal tool to fit the stop! The only thing I was charged for was the new stop. Really helpful! I will do all plumping related shopping here from now on.
Dont ever use Aurora Plumbing. After a few week wait, Brian came out to do simple repairs, replacing washers to a shower mixer set, and the leak to the bathroom sink, which took about an hours worth of time. It was preventive maintenance for the shower washers(it was working fine), but when I went to use the shower the next day, there was no cold water coming out of the faucet, for the shower/bath, and the upstairs sink had water leaking on the floor. Aurora Plumbings response was that Brian was busy, and wasnt able to make it out again for several days, and he would charge me all over again, because he wouldnt warranty his service, because I have an antique sink/faucet set, but it wasnt the faucets that were leaking, just the brass connections to the sink. I dont understand how a company and a person could take so little pride in their work, and leave a house in worse repair than when they visited.
Very professional. I always get the right parts the first time.
Wonderful! We have a super old tub that had an old crusty drain and lever plug. The man at the parts desk found us a quick and also modern fix to make our shower look good as new, he even took the time to show us how to install it. Very professional and very helpful! The whole process took about 5 minutes, now that is service! Will come back for other plumbing needs!
I have used Aurora Plumbing on 2 projectsA bathroom remodel and a kitchen remodel. Both times I had tried to go to a different pluming store in the Everett area first, and was very disappointed in the lack of service.. Aurora Plumbing shines above all the others with outstanding knowledge, parts and the most helpful staff.. the have correct my mistakes before I made them.. I wont go any place else..
Even with all the covid precautions, I got very personalized service for a difficult plumbing problem. The parts tech stayed with the issue and came up with a very non-standard solution. I do believe I will go with it.
Thank you thank you thank you! I had quite a quandary and spent seven or eight hours at three other hardware stores, speaking to six or seven people, all of whom had a very hard time understanding what I was asking for, and none of whom could find a solution for my needs. I was referred to Aurora Plumbing buy another hardware store who said if they didnt have what I needed, then no one would. The guy who helped me at Aurora Plumbing understood immediately what I needed, and had a solution for me in about 60 seconds. Youve made my month!
I had a very difficult plumbing project which required expert skill to reroute drain pipe, air gap, supply lines, all in a very tight wall space. Mark came out, assessed it, and proposed a solution that achieved the best result in half the time quoted by the other guys. Really happy with the work Mark did.
The staff are nice and provided great recommendations.
These guys are amazing! I had shopped at the store before, but didnt know they did plumbing house calls too until I needed to find a plumber for my second bath install. They were so amazing to work with, Mark the technician who did the job, was fast, knowledgeable and reliable. Best part is they were far less than any other bid I received. Its much harder than you think to find a reasonably priced plumber who is nice and reliable. I would recommend their services to anyone!
Been there 3+ times, they are knowledgeable and always find things I need. Today, what makes me write a review is that one of the guys couldn’t get me a very special part, and told me that I have to replace the whole thing, but then he tried to pull out the breaking piece in the my old part, and charge me nothing. Really appreciate it, saving us a lot of money.
Excellent service with knowledgeable employees. Great showroom, too.
I needed a very hard-to-find faucet adapter, and these guys grabbed three different parts from their vast supply and put them together to make exactly what I needed. This was the fourth store I went to, and none of the others even had a clue. Great, friendly service!
Very helpful and quick!
I have struggled with plumbing projects in the past, but for the last three years, Ive been coming to see Matt at Aurora Plumbing. He is extremely competent and has helped me solve all of the complicated puzzles that I threw at him. Anytime I have a plumbing project, I go to see him.
Had one plumber out and he did one job and it turns out he didnt do it right. I found out a while later and called and told the shop and they sent someone to fix the job. I was also in the shop and was clearly being upsold on an item that he first quoted as less than Lowe and Home Depots price, but a wise listening to what he was telling me was that it was going to be about $80 more than the $110 part after all the additional things needed. They clearly cater to people with bigger budgets now. Still, a great place for quality supplies and fixtures.
I gave them two stars only because they actually had the part I needed. But they wanted almost double for it than I could get it on Amazon or from Home Depot had they actually had it in stock. When I asked the customer service representative, Josh I think it was, about the over inflated price he just stared at me with a dumbfounded look on his face.I asked Josh about a new escutcheon gasket because the it tore getting the old one off. He said they dont have gaskets and people just use silicone. I asked if they sold the escutcheon and rather then answer the question he said really, just use silicone around the edge. I wasnt going to argue with him but personally I dont like the look of silicone smeared all over everything as it just looks shotty. And this going against a diamond plate wall will be hard to wipe it clean due to the texture. The cashier, who said she was just in helping on the weekend, was nice and when I asked if theyd price match at all she was helpful and called someone else who could assist the price. They adjusted the price about half way between their price and home depots. This place is a rip off and very lacking in customer service.
Aurora Plumbing really helped us out today! Our new hot water heater was leaking and we didnt know why. We were sure it must be the seal, but low & behold Aurora Plumbing sends out a technician instantly, within the hour we called, and the man was so nice ~ He showed us it wasnt properly installed, and all it needed was a small hose. He told us for now, we can let the water drip into a small bucket since the leak was slow and we can look into having the original installer come back to fix it. Aurora Plumbings technician did not even charge us! *Thank you Aurora Plumbing!!* We will not forget your kindness. When we need further plumbing done, you will get our business 100%!
Aurora Plumbing is almost always in stock on everything. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable, and patient. They have routinely fixed issues, and had assemblies fully completed before I got there. As an owner of an older house they have always chuckled at some of the odd things done baby previous owners but gotten me on the right track. The only caveat is that their prices are high... but remember the quality of the components are much better and you are paying for someone to show you how to do it yourself. This saves you hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Our society has lost the concept of value and paying for good work. Only gripe is that I wish they were closer.
Ryan and Deric showed up on time and were very thorough and knowledgeable and diagnosed my problem right away. My toilet had been marking a low humming noise for weeks and they said it just need a new fill tank. They offered a free sewer line check as well.. My toilet no longer hums and I would definitely use this company again
Meh is about it. Great selection semi-helpful staff (depends greatly on who you get). For example early in planning for a bathroom renovation I went to Aurora Plumbing to see their shower selection, after explaining the features I was looking for in a tub/shower combo I was told explicitly that a thermostatic valve was NOT what I wanted - turns out a thermostatic valve is exactly what I needed. Another time I went to purchase a basic tub drain set (received a bit of stark because I didn’t know exactly what I wanted) and settled on a simple Watco ABS drain kit for $86 plus tax. As the unit came without instructions, I did a google search mid-install to ensure I was following their instructions. What is search result #1? An Amazon link for the same product model # for about $35. I understand that a local store has additional overhead and doesn’t have the capacity to compete with the likes of Amazon - but to that degree? I would have easily brushed off $10 or $15 more, but not $50 for a $35 part. Sorry Aurora plumbing, I’ll probably be taking my business elsewhere for all but the most obscure items.
Very friendly and well informed staff always an excellent experience
They are not very good when it comes to following up on something that requires information before ordering.I began this process early in October, and on Dec 27, I have no more definitive information than I had almost three months ago. I will bring my business to some other supplier who is willing to pursue answers and keep me informed.
He had me over a barrel once my old water heater had been removed, the new one was uninstalled, and he said, it is going to be more expensive than the written estimate... but only by $60-$70 dollars. I asked if I really had a choice at this point, to which the plumber replied he could install it improperly and see how long it lasts. I agreed to go ahead with the proper procedure, and it was an additional $185. This, by the way, was over changing a size of pipe that the Aurora plumber had already seen and talked about... he had just forgot the $185 in the original estimate. He recorded it on the original copy I had signed, so it appeared I may have approved it initially. I also found it alarming that he hand wrote on that signed estimate, Aurora Plumbing is not responsible for any drywall or panel repair to walls if needed. Upon inspection, I found the exhaust hole he cut for the pipe was much too big, crudely cut, and filled in with expanding foam instead of flashing that will keep the rain out. Now the signed document indicated that I approved of poor carpentry. I chose AP because of favorable reviews on Yelp, but I didnt appreciate the surprise price increase or altering of the signed document. It appears to be a quality job, but Im no expert. My advice: Once signing your original estimate, put an X across the blank part of the invoice so they cant add additional expenses once youve signed.
This is THE place to go if you want quality fixtures (e.g. all-brass faucet) or parts, and the people truly know their stuff...theyre not sales people, theyre plumbers & electricians (or former) and they provide good advice, very good. They even have parts for my 70-yr old plumbing fixtures! Want a $5000 tub? They have em.
Love this place. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They know what theyre talking about unlike Lowes and Home Depot. Its sad there are so few dedicated plumbing repair stores left.
I showed one of the staff a few sloppy pictures of the project I was working on, and what I was trying to accomplish. They collected the parts I would need, and walked me through the steps with patience and no judgement. Everything turned out perfect.
Used to be a nice shop. Now its a criminal enterprise.Service department willfully attempts to defraud customers. Clogged drains turn into bogus big dollar projects repeatedly (see other reviews).Called to one of my rentals by tenant they failed to clear her drain, charged her 270+ dollars and claimed she needed to do a $5000 repair. The repair they suggested was to dig up a 3 deep side sewer pipe and replace 5 feet of it. This wasnt needed, and the projected charge is CRIMINAL.I used to love the old time feel of this shop and the knowledgeable counter people.New ownership take notice! If you want to try and save the rapidly nosediving reputation of your firm, fire the whole service department (at least the manager and drain people) and start over with plumbers that actually want to fix problems, not steal from innocent people.
I have used Aurora plumbing twice. Both times their response was immediate, their work excellent and the technicians were very knowledgeable, especially CARL.I recommend them to anyone that needs any plumbing for their new construction or remodel and repair. I cannot thank them enough!
Great guidance for no nothing plumbers like me. Quality parts and offering directions for fixing whatever may be troubling you.
Went there to see if they can help me take the cartridge off my kitchen faucet, the guy right away tried different techniques to remove the top hub unfortu lately even with heating it up did not budj. Unfortunately my faucet was a toast had to buy a new one. Also he did not charge me for his work. Deffinetly more professional and experienced than the guys at Home Depot.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable
Bid came in for $2,592.00 plus tax for 2 sink installations plus changing incoming connections. Called another plumber to see if that price was reasonable. Other bid, for same work, came in at $722.00 inclusive. Too bad Aurora Plumbing has changed! Ive used them for over 40 years, but something is wrong there now........
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable
I received great customer service. Thanks for all the help!
Aurora Plumbing and Electric has taken care of my most challenging repair needs and havent let me down For over 40 years. They have great advice and they always have the parts I need.
Super super expensive. They charge exorbitant prices. I compared the prices with other company for the service I had ordered and this place was 100% more expensive. They fixed the problem but very expensive.
The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, although I got passed over somehow for someone 2nd in line. Ill let that one slide. The trouble with this place is the prices. They are high. I found the same item online for 33% less. However bought it at Aurora anyway because I needed it fast.
I found their prices for higher-end brands like Toto, Duravit, etc. to be only ~10% more than at online stores. But they provide real person customer service and local warranty. (Sales taxes is a whole different matter). For commodity parts, of course, one should go to commodity stores like the yellow/orange or while/blue...
Good customer service lots of products to choose from
Treated me well, great staff that steered me in the right direction.
I love these guys.Whats with all the hate?I am a DIY-er, so I cant speak to their service department, but the counter help is knowledgeable and helpful.Sure they cost more, but were not there to get the absolutely cheapest price on the absolutely cheapest made part, are we?Quality parts, professional counter help, excellent stock of hard to find items.Complain all you want about prices as you sip your $6 organic chai latte wandering through PCC considering which sustainably-sourced bamboo napkin rings offer free shipping.I will continue to support a local institution that provides a staff with answers and an actual showroom.P.S. Thanks for that replacement bath fan motor. It was pricy, but I was so glad I didnt have to guess about ordering the wrong thing online, or tear the ceiling out to replace the entire thing with a new piece of crap from a big-box.
Service is excellent and they carry a hard to find shower diverter I was looking for. That said, the markup ($27 for a $17 part) is pretty extreme.
It is so hard to find good service!!!! Aurora Plumbing is always helpful and friendly
Not as good as they use to be. They are too high and does not have good customer service like they use to have.
Amber and Travis really know their stuff, not just the normal everyday, but also the esoteric AND the downright tricky nearly impossible.
Had everything I needed
Shop around and save yourself allot of $$Very expensive
Best in the west!
These guys know plumbing !
Great help.
I am going to avoid this place due to the reviews I have read regarding price gouging.
Excellent service
