This is the best U-Haul store we have ever come in Seattle. We ordered an U-Box to ship to Ohio, and we were late to bring stuffs in on the original schedule. The manager - John - was super nicely changed my schedule, and even extended my truck rent for free. Nicest person we have met working in U-Haul. By the way, the U-Box can fit almost 90% of the 10’ Truck in full of boxes. It’s bigger than we expected. Thank you so much for the services. 100/10 recommended this store! \(^o^)/
Pick a different U-Haul. The overworked employee, yes just one, refused to even acknowledge the line of customers waiting as he repaired a trailer hitch. When I asked how long he expected it would take, he simply walked away. Cancelled my reservation and won’t ever go back.
The feedback is for U-Haul overall, as it wasnt specifically this location but the general customer service.When booking our u box we found out UHaul also offered drop off and assistance loading the box. We agreed to book this service and paid U-Haul directly.This was a big mistake. We booked 6 weeks ahead of time to ensure everything was set up. On the week before our move, we couldnt get a hold of the company. Upon calling U Haul - they couldnt either and then charged us double the cost to book someone new. We were then told, the originally contractor they hired they are no longer working with.The new movers showed up 3 hours late, then said they couldnt do the move that day. They promised to comeback the next morning at 9am. They eventually arrived around 10:30 — and got angry at how late they were and that their next customers were going to be angry.When talking to UHaul - everyone just passed the buck to someone else and said it was not their responsibility. U Haul took our money - therefore its their responsibility as a company even if they subcontract.Upon booking, we were told that once our box arrived in Florida we could arrange for someone to deliver it trough U Haul. Upon arrival of the box, we were then told the location does not do delivery and we would have to rent a truck to get our Box to our home. Again, with very little options, we rented the truck through UHaul.When we showed up to pick up the Truck and Box, they were available however the trailer was not and we could move the box. Again, we had to return the next day.Our goods were damaged upon arrival, due to the way the original movers packed everything.Overall the worst moving experience I have had. The worst part of it was the lack of customer service, ownership or support from UHaul.
John (GM) has a tremendous customer obsession attitude. Although the location could be a bit more organized, its not a blocker to the end result. I got my product (hitch installation) a lot faster than my expectations. John kept me informed before and as soon as he finished the job. Also the price is about half of other places around, and they carry lots of stock which has been difficult during Covid times. Great experience overall.
Shady business! Over charged me for items I did not use or order. Waited almost 2 hours when I had Mobile check-in. Employees had no clue how to do their job. They said the vehicle was fine and had a half tank of gas. Check engine light was on and there was about 1/3 tank of gas, not 1/2. Overall, terrible experience at South Othello Station U-Haul. Ill never use their shady services again.
The staff was very helpful. I dropped by without an appointment and was able to get a trailer hitch installed right away. I went on a Thursday morning around 7:30.
The dumamish location screwed up our reservation and the team at othello was willing, caring and wanted to assist us in meeting our needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION - DO NOT RESERVE WITH THE DUWAMISH LOCATION

Im starting to wonder if the reviews about John are fake. U-Haul overcharged me for gas. Yes it is only $10 and it is insignificant but just imagine showing up and it took almost an hour just to get a U-Haul truck that I already reserved.I thought the least they could do was give me back my money for the overcharge but John who perhaps is overworked Im not sure didnt follow through. I called and it still didnt happen.It is irritating because it was already expensive for the short amount of time and the person who was checking me out looked at me as if I wasnt making any sense.They also gave me a truck with the check engine light on and they said that it would go away and it never did. I would only rent from this place if I was super desperate.Theres no use of calling because no one will answer your call. Theres no use of requesting something because it will never happen.I think overall this particular U-Haul has their staff working overtime and they need more employees. They are unable to provide good customer service.John did not refund me my money, John made me wait almost an hour, they will overcharge you for whatever.Do not come here I do not believe the reviews about John must be a robot

Manager was annoyed and impatient when I asked the most basic questions that I shouldn’t have had to ask in the first place, like where is the truck, or where do I return the truck, etc
I had the opportunity to be helped by the owner, John. His customer service was on point.I had my reservation online. I then picked up the truck, made the move, and dropped the truck back off. This entire process was absolutely flawless.John was the only one in the shop and was obviously busy. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and most of all fast. Dude had a smile and made this move that much easier.
My experience with the initial UHaul location was good, but UBoxes involved 3 stages. Drop off at source, shipment, and delivery to destination. My experience saw poor communication between the 3 entities and lots of finger pointing and lack of ownership. If you need your goods in a timely fashion, I wouldnt recommend using U-Haul UBoxes.
I worked with John the manager and Charles for my move for renting 3 ubox storage units. I was a little nervous about this move, but U-Haul Storage of Othello Station gave me a lot of confidence in my move and that I could manage this successfully. John had the ubox prepared for me ready to go each morning. Super friendly and helpful. 110% customer service experience!!!
Terrible experience, they broke my muffler after hitch trailer installation and made it my problem to find a repair shop to fix it.

I selected self-pickup and when I arrived the truck wasnt ready. It was parked in the back lot and the pads and dollies I ordered werent in the truck as I expected. After searching for the truck and finding it I went to ask for the keys, and instead of apologizing for not having it ready, the employee chastised me in front of other customers for not heeding the employees only beyond this point sign (which, admittedly I didnt see). How did he know? He knew the truck wasnt ready and that for me to see it I had to go back there. He then shoves the key at me and says ok now I give you permission to go back there. Very unprofessional and I probably wont do business with Uhaul for a while after this.
I was extremely pleased with the experience I had with this location. The staff was so accommodating, the equipment was state of the art and ran well, and the costs associated were very clear... Definitely go here!

I just picked up a trailer from this location. I was greeted by a person who was in the parking area, letting me know hed be right in to help me. He was helpful and efficient, ensuring he checked out a trailer that was easy to pull up to and hook up to. He and other employees were courteous and friendly with each other.After checking out, my trailering skills were rusty. The two employees came out and patiently guided me, letting me know how much room I had to make my turn, back up, etc.Thank you for such a pleasant rental experience!
I moved out of this storage facility over a month ago. My account is paid off and Ive verified that through the corporate U-Haul help line (because good luck trying to get ahold of anyone at this location). I get at least 5 emails a day and multiple phone calls demanding payment for a unit that I have nothing do with anymore. The GM John Stevens personally did my move out and HES the one whos been harassing me. I was getting prompt responses and as soon as I told him that this was his mistake I was ghosted and havent heard from him since. This joke of a business needs to get its act together. John was so helpful and so nice in the beginning, he even gave us a deal and was just overall so great. But now? Jesus Christ, now all thats down the drain and I do not care. Stop calling me. Stop emailing me. Youre an idiot John Stevens.
Nobody assisted me returning the U haul. I waited in line for like 20 minutes only to be told I could only be helped outside and to use the link I was texted when I picked up the U haul. The link didnt work. The dude outside just took the keys and said he would email me a receipt and then I was overcharged for completely the wrong mileage. 50 miles vs the 15 I actually drove. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND A SCAM.
Amazing customer service! Only thing to improve on is letting people know where the drop box for after hours renters is located. I had some trouble finding it.

I rented a 9 ft can to move the items from one apartment to another from Capitol Hill to Columbia City and I’ve been charged for a total of 126 miles! I rented it for 6 hours and took 2 trips which was probably around 30 miles at most. I returned the vehicle with more gasoline then when I took it and made sure it was clean to only find out that the attendant wrote down a far larger final number of miles at the end. Completely disappointed with this location, especially after having used it in multiple occasions without a single problem.
You have a big day ahead of you -- hauling, moving or the chores youve been putting off for awhile. You get to this U-haul location and Presto! Bam! Youre greeted with beautiful, fun, understanding people who are happy to help you and are having fun doing it. Seriously, that happens here. These folks are great. Yes, there might be stress days and weekends, and not everything may be going great for you (or them), but very time I have been here they are trying their best and making a vehicle rental easier. My advice? Reserve online FIRST. It really helps.
The manager, John S., is exceptional!. I had a considerable number of problems trying to get basic information and options on moving at other places and it was just confusing. However, John got my order at Othello Station, explained just what would happen....and got the job done. Fast, efficient, very friendly. I did self delivery UBoxes using my solid estimate ...and mid loading, once I realize I was WAY off, John completed the work needed for an additional UBox with one line of text and the paperwork change by asking me one question. All businesses should be run this way. He helped make a trying experience very fun. And that is just what Uhaul should be best at.

These people are just great. I didnt realize that I had left a credit card in the cab when I returned the truck in Arizona. The next renter drove the truck to Seattle and the card was found when the staff cleaned the cab. They tracked me down and mailed the card back to me. What service !

Wow. What a bull---- establishment. If it says you can drop off uhauls at other locations on your website, you should probably figure out how to accommodate that. Also, good luck parking here, let alone turning around without some employee coming out to scream at you Dont park there! DONT PARK THERE!!
Dealt with John and had a smooth experience renting a cargo trailer for a cross country move. Took his time to walk me thru everything I need to pay attention to and made sure I was comfortable before letting me get on my way.

People like Anna H do not know what they are talking about this area was never rough. The staff is very pleasant, and they helped me out almost immediately.
Expect poor customer service at this location. The manager majorly wasted my time because he didnt want to click a few more buttons to process my refund and complained the whole time about corporate policy.
The people at this location are great and tend to look out for their customers. I cant say the same for the phone crew (which is different from the people youll interact with at the location). I was told I would be called back on two occasions and gave up after an hour of waiting, and was given incorrect information when I set up a reservation on a later occasion. But yeah, the people who are actually there are great.
If you got representative Christian who pick up your phone call, youre lucky! He is extremely helpful, patient, and does the right job. I once got picked up by a girl (forgot her name), wasted 40 minutes and she is extremely rude. She never listens in full what I want, and then transfers me to offices that do not work. She keeps asking me questions that do not make sense, and refuses to listen to me what I want. The reputation of this office should not be ruined by such a representative.
Its okay. Get in, get your truck, get out. Its about a five minute drive from the freeway, though the uphill battle on Graham is a tough one. Gas station is nearby, too, so its super easy to avoid being charged extra for gas.
I rented a uhaul box van last year September 30th. It was late so I was instructed to drop off the keys in the drop box when I returned. I rented around 7:00 and returned it after a 100 mile round trip after 3 1/2 hours, one hour to load and unload and two 1/2 hours to drive. The next day however they charged me an additional $300 because they said I drove an additional 150 miles the night before. That would mean I drove 250 miles in 3 hours. When I called to say that this was wrong they said it’s what the odometer read. I had not taken a photo of it before hand as I trusted this company and they blamed me for not having proof. So without a a moment to load/unload they assumed I drove 72mph from the second I left the lot to when I returned. They knew the time I returned because the lot has a camera at the drop box. I don’t know if this was a scam or horrible customer serves but after many calls and emails I eventually gave up. I was treated like I was trying to scam them the whole time. No respect and no refund. There has to be a better option.

Attempted to get a propane refill 3 time between errands. Closest refill place to me. Was passed over neumerus times and other customers were attended to. Staff looks to not know how to actually manage time. Ill go a bit farther next time for propane without the headache of dealing with this inept crew.

I didnt get past the first minute of the phone call before the woman who answered let me know that there was no reason to be rude, that I was the one who had called her, and hung up the phone. By rude she seemed to mean letting her know that I didnt want to go through all her questions about the size of the space I was leaving, since I had already told her the size range I was interested in.

Made a reservation for a truck 2 months in advance and the morning of they told me they didnt have the truck available. This was after my reservation was confirmed the day prior. Staff made little effort to help find a solution and just suggested I move another day. The manager screamed at me when I expressed my frustration at my reservation being unavailable. Have never been treated so poorly by anyone. Will not be using uhaul again and will strongly recommend against it to anyone I know.
There system was down while I was there...I was just trying to by packing paper. The guy gave it to be for the little cash I had and was extremely apologetic. Very nice people there.

I reserved a 26 UHaul over a month ago for my move to Portland, OR. They kindly called me two days before the move and informed me that all they had available was a 15 UHaul. That is not going to work. After posting about this on Facebook, I had multiple people respond with similar stories. I guess I shouldnt be suprised (Note: they are giving me two 15 UHauls instead, yet I will still have to pay for gas.)Update: I was told I would only have to pay for 1 UHaul, but I would have to pay for gas for both. I was instead charged for both UHauls. After multiple calls to get refunded, I was finally told one of the charges for the second UHaul would be dropped. I have the recorded call with the UHaul employee. Yet still no reimbursement. UHaul is such a cluster f&*k that I am going to eat the couple hundreds of dollars and wipe my hands clean with them.

Went in at 7:45pm to buy boxes, website says open until 8pm. Large gentlemen would not sell me any boxes. Doors already locked though he let me into chat about not selling me boxes. Clearly said open until 8pm on the door as well. Screwed now as movers coming tomorrow morning and no boxes.

I reserved a 10 truck 3 weeks prior to my move date and submitted the online check-in. I received an email just 30 minutes before my pick-up time that I have a 9 Van to pick up at a faraway location when I was at the place I reserved to pick up the 10 truck. They changed my order and location just 30 minutes before my pick-up time for no reason and I think their service is the worst and they even charged me twice for the van.
