It is unacceptable to call you on the day of your move and tell you that your truck is unavailable. I was able to get another truck by calling the main Penske number. Its probably the fault of a poor scheduling system, but I cannot recommend that you select this location to pickup/drop off a truck.
I reserved a truck from Penske on August 18th for a move, for pickup on August 29th at 10:30am and drop-off on September 3rd. We intended to use the truck to store our belongings in the time between when our lease ended for our old residence and the lease began for the new residence (i.e., the dates given above).When we arrived to pick up the truck at the location that Penske gave, Magnolia Bridge Self Storage, the person working there said they didnt know where the truck was. They called a Penske representative at the Penske location in south Seattle who also did not know where the truck was, and said that there were no trucks available in the area at that time. The representative said they would call me if the truck arrived, but it never did. Not only did Penske fail to have the truck available at the promised time, they completely failed to follow up with any information about the its whereabouts.Because we didnt have access to this truck, we had to instead find a last-minute single-day truck rental, rent a storage unit for our belongings, and we will have to rent a truck again on September 3rd to move our belongings to our new residence. This ended up costing significantly more than the Penske truck rental, and makes the process of moving a much more complicated ordeal since it involves moving everything twice (into the storage unit and then back out again).
