The Verdict is in from Panasonic on my 55 Plasma TV...To Recap... I bought a Panasonic 55 Plasma TV 2 years ago... one of the better sets out there per consumer reports. Paid $1,600 for it. A week into having it installed over our fireplace, it began to have issues. The screen would go blank for a few seconds a few times an hour like the screen was resetting. Service came out and of course, the TV wouldnt do it when they were there. We lived with the problem for 1 1/2 years. The issues got worse to the point where the TV shut down. Panasonics Authorized Service Center came out and had to replace a circuit board which cost me $479. Less than a month later a line appeared across the screen. I was told by Panasonic that it sounded like a Panel problem and it was very expensive to fix. The only way they would consider helping me was that their Authorized Service Center come out to tell me the same. It cost me another $125 for them to tell me it would cost close to $2,000 to fix... I emailed all the information they requested and they called me yesterday... They are offering me 40% off a TV I MUST buy from there website, Retail Price... Keep in mind that Panasonic announced a few days ago that they are no longer making Plasmas and discontinuing them. WHAT A JOKE... I can get a better deal going to Best Buy and getting one on sale... Its not the money... Im going to replace the set... JUST NOT GOING TO BUY A PANASONIC PRODUCT because they obviously dont back their products... Im in the Automotive industry and if this were a car... I would have been covered under the Lemon Law.... Panasonic... MY PANASONIC TV IS A LEMON...

I purchased a Panasonic Viera television from Panasonic. Model number Tc-P55GT30. I have encountered the error code of seven flashing lights. This error code is known as the seven blinking lights of death. It is such a common problem Panasonic extended the warramty for this specific problem. When I called customer support they told me there was nothing they could do and to go to a service center for repair. This is a well documented problem that should be under recall. I Would like Panasonic to stand by their product and fix the TV. This TV was rated to last 40000-60000 hrs and I have less than 5000. Panasonic is well aware of this problem and knows that they made false claims of longvevity on these model TVs. Panasonic refuses to honor repairs on this faulty TV.

Customer Service from Panasonic Online Sales is pathetic! Employees could not tell me the status of my order and laughed at my requests to speak to a supervisor.
