Dave is a stellar person, has cold beer and appreciates and works on lovely bikes like ibis and turner. I highly recommend him for demos custom builds and repairs. He is legit!!!!

Although there are many mixed reviews here, many about Dave, I cannot help but to laugh at how well they described my experience. Yes, Dave can be a bit of a know it all, but my girlfriend and I came down to Sedona to bike and that is exactly what Dave helped us do. I am not one to judge another character, but Dave helped us outfit some great bikes, outlined an awesome loop, and suggested some places to eat in the area. Dave was a great bike shop owner / business man with an interesting background to say the least, but a great guide that provided a experience for both my girlfriend and myself that we will not forget.

Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Passionate about what he does and seems genuinely to want to help his customers get what they really need, even if that means he will not get the sale himself.

Stopped here after 10 days of hard riding on our US roadtrip, and our bikes revived much love from Dave. He gave me so much helpful info on properly setting up my derailleur. Got us back on the trail and bikes felt like new. This is the definition of a great community shop.

Dave is the best Bike mechanic have ever met and I have been riding for 70 years. He is also a great guy and a lot of fun to watch working.He handles high end equipment,mostly Ibis. He has been able to solve problems that other goo mechanics have not been able to. The Maestro.TC

Amazing. These guys know everything there is to know about bikes, trails, history, etc.. Dave is a suspension wizard and anyone in the area would be missing out if they didnt just come by to talk to him about their own bike. But, do your self a favor and ride a Mojo for a day.Stop in and you will feel like you are making friends for life with the loads of information on local trails and beyond. It is always great to hang out with people that love what they do and do what they love.

The owner was wonderfully helpful in orienting us on the area, and when he didnt have a part to make a repair, he pointed us in the direction of a shop that could. His willingness to help was awesome. Id highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to ride in Sedona.

Best bike shop Ive ever been in. If your looking for high performance trail tested mountain bikes and components then this shop is it. Dave is the total package. Awesome rider, meticulous/knowledgeable mechanic, and a superlative trail guide. We had a big group from West Virginia and shipped our bikes to Sedona. We had multiple mechanical problems related to both shipping and riding. Dave went way above what a normal business owner would do for his customers to make sure everyone in the group kept the rubber in the dirt. He loaned us parts, had parts overnight shipped that werent in stock and gave great deals on rentals while waiting for parts. If Dave worked on your bike he would not let it out the door until he had it completely tuned to your riding style and weight. It was like having a buddy that owned a bike shop in Sedona. We started and ended almost every day at his shop. He would line out our route in the morning and help us fix what wed broken in the afternoon 😜.Thanks Dave!! We will see ya next winter.

Great shop! Very knowledgeable staff about local riding and about bikes. They also have very well maintained bikes that are very high end. They were a bit cheaper than another shop I rented from while in Sedona. I had a great time riding in Sedona and they made that happen!

Not super friendly to female riders. Only has one size small that’s only available sometimes? Also if you don’t have an extensive riding bro vocabulary you probably won’t be considered worthy for these ‘demo style rentals.’ Also didn’t see a clean bike in sight

Without a doubt I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bike shop (rentals, purchases and repairs) in Sedona. Dave runs the place and his knowledge about bikes is very wide. When you rent (or buy) a bike from Dave, youre not only getting a bike, youre getting help from a human that cares about you. He gave the impression that if anything went wrong down the road, hed be able to help out, and I trust him. He is the best and most impressive bike mechanic I have ever met. Next time Im in Sedona, Ill be coming back to the Fat Tire. Thanks Dave :)

This place does not sell or rent Fat bikes. Guy was nice, talkative but didn’t let me get a word in. Go somewhere else.

Dave at the Fat Tire Bike Shop is awesome! Traveled to Sedona last weekend and stopped in Fat Tire BS for some local advise. We walked in with a map asked a few questions about local rides and Dave spent a good 1/2 hour on the internet and tracing a big ride on our map with detailed specifics of each part of the trail, bail outs, and best of all the Famous Pizza tip to refuel or call it day and drink. No Bailouts but we did call it a day and Enjoyed Sedona. We will be back!
