Weve been customers for a couple of years, just having them change engine oil. Recently my wife brought one of our vehicles there, with a tire that had a slow leak. They quoted over $800 to REPLACE 2 tires, plus their usual spiel - engine and cabin air filters, and an alignment for another $150. Obviously they wanted to take advantage of a person who has only cursory automotive knowledge. Subsequently I took the car to a small tire store, where they patched one tire for $15, and the other tire didnt need a repair. It took all of 10 minutes. Also, just noticed that their technician, after changing oil, did not put the access cover back on the underside of the engine bay. Now I have to buy a new cover. We will not be returning to that facility.

Had a good experience making the appointment and dropping off my car. My issue comes with picking up my car. When I walked in, nobody was at the counter. You could see them all in the actual garage part standing around talking, laughing, having a great time. It took them about 15 minutes to come out even though they seen me. The service I had them do was switch over my summer tires to my snow tires. When I got in the car and started to drive away, the TPMS light came on saying my tire pressure was low in one tire. I stopped at a gas station and my tire was at 22 psi instead of 40 which is what my car states on my driver door. I also noticed there was no valve stem cap on this tire and only this tire which I thought was weird that this was the only tire low in pressure and it was missing the valve stem. I called the next day and they said it was because the tires were filled in their warm shop and then sat outside for a few hours. I could believe they could go down a little in that time period but I would also think they all would have went down. All the other tires were close to the correct pressure.I understand mistakes happen but its take ownership of the mistake. I wasnt looking for my money back or a discount or anything like that. I just wanted to let them know of the issue. Im assuming by the way they responded that they get a lot of unhappy customers and they are already on edge when they get a phone call telling them of an issue.

So I never really care to write reviews but I needed to for this place. I went in to get my winter tires put on which were already on the rims. My appointment was at 3pm and I just got out at 4:30pm. These people are so unprofessional and dont work as a team. The kid that worked on my car kept doing one thing and went to do something else which dragged this process out even longer. The crew in the garage didnt get along and were swearing up a storm and arguing with each other. Maybe when they made this building they shouldnt of made it so you can see whats going on in the garage. I dont recommend this place to anyone and who knows how long it would of taken if I had to get other things done. I got charged for a simple tire swap and it took a hour and a half. Im use to getting this done within a half hour. Save your money and patience and dont go to this dump.

MEANT TO HIT 3 STARS NOT 1. Terrible prioritization skills. Went yesterday to get an alignment, tire rotation, and balance. Told them the key to the tires was in the glove box. We were told it would take 4 hours. Got a call 10 minutes before they closed that the alignment was done, but they couldn’t do the balancing/rotating because they couldn’t find the key. We picked up the truck and opened the glove box and the key was right there. We brought it the following day to have the tires balanced and rotated. We were told it would take an hour. It’s been 3 hours and they still aren’t done. Also forgot to give us back our tire key so now we’ll have to make a 3rd trip back. They did do a good job on the rotation and balance though...which is why I only took off 2 stars.

I was hesitant to visit due to bad reviews but was desperate and needed a place close by to get my vehicle looked. I’m so glad I did. I recently purchased four new tires on tire rack and chose Firestone for my install. I also decided to purchase new wipers while on site. When I picked up my car, every tire had a different psi! As well as one a missing cap.Not a huge deal. But about a week later, I lifted my wiper to wipe down my windshield, and the wiper came off in my hand! Neither wiper was fastened correctly and one was broken. This crew couldn’t nail one service. Shocking how much of a clown shown this operation is. Count me out as a firestone customer.

After calling and making an appointment, we dropped off our truck to have them balance the tires. We were called 20 minutes later and told that they could not take the lug nuts off the truck and could not service the vehicle. When we went to go pick up the truck, the lug nuts were freshly scratched. We took the truck to our regular mechanic and he was able to remove the lug nuts without any issues. This place was a joke. Im only giving it one star because I dont have a choice.

I went to town fair tire and there were employees outside so I took my baby out put her into her stroller (employees seeing this) walked over and realized they were closed and the employees said “ yea we are closed “( why wouldn’t you say that while I’m unpacking my child )so I explained my situation and he said go to firestone. I’m so glad I did! I explained to the employees what happened and they not only fixed it but didn’t charge me! Absolute best tire shop! Ive had to visit here twice, once for a nail in my tire, which they without hesitation took in and replaced my tire with less than an hour before closing. Then the second visit was today, when I had a blowout and 2 bent rims. The guys at fire stone, had me out within an hour and a half which included the repair of my two bent rims and the replacement of my one front tire. They are all professional and very nice, they tell you exactly what you are going to be charged for without any gimmicks. I recommend firestone but specifically this location!

Review №27

Cheaper Than Dealership But Needs Improvement. I have gone to Firestone for oil changes and alignments in the past. They are usually reasonably priced, and they have generous hours with Saturday and Sunday hours, as well as weekday hours.I was a bit disappointed with my most recent visit however, especially since the car was not ready when promised. I dropped the car at 7:15 to inspect the brakes, which they said needed replacement in the front and rear, and to check a tire which I believed had a slow leak. The car was supposed to be ready by 3:30. Though they replaced the pads and rotors, replaced the brake fluid, and repaired a tire which had several nails for $873 (less money than I would have paid at a Honda dealership), the car was not ready by 3:30 when they said it would be ready. I got a ride to Firestone expecting the car to be ready, and I had to wait almost an hour. This is unacceptable.Part of the delay, is that they apparently did not check the specific tire which I said probably had a slow leak (since I had to keep adding air from time to time.) They initially checked the tire pressure of all the tires and said they were fine, but I specifically told them that one tire to which I kept having to add air. They need to listen to the customer who is bringing in the car! They only discovered the leak and had to patch it after I arrived or right before I arrived which is why I had to wait. This was a disappointment. I also believe that they, like other auto repair shops, try to sell repairs that may not be necessary, like wheel alignment and balancing. They could work on their skills at communicating with the customer. One of the service managers, perhaps his name was John, had poor communication skills. When you keep a customer waiting for an hour, the first thing you do is to apologize. He did not. He just made excuses like, well it was hard to get the parts for your car and one of the parts was frozen, and that could not have been predicted. The other service manager Mike, had better people skills and at least he apologized for the delay (though he also made excuses for why the tire had not been checked for a leak- well when things get busy with 6 cars being repaired at the same time, sometimes...)So, they did get the job done, and I am pleased with the outcome, but the process needs improvement.

I wish I could give these guys zero stars. I had an oil leak at my oil filter (common problem) Because the oil filter was mounted on the top of me engine and the radiator fan was located a bit lower it caused the oil to get blown across my engine and further back. The manager refused to change my oil because he stated there was a different oil leak and stated that I would hold them responsible for the oil leak from my engine if the oil change didnt solve the issue despite my assurance that I wouldnt and that it was absurd. Manager stated I should tow my car to Inskip and wouldnt change my oil even though my cars computer stated the oil level was close to the maximum recommended. The manager spent a good amount of time looking for my dipstick (modern BMWs dont have dipsticks, despite him insisting that it did.) He was simply misinformed and afraid to touch a foreign vehicle that he didnt understand. I spent $55 across the street st Pep Boys on 7 quarts of synthetic and a new filter and completed the job myself quickly, they were prepared to charge me the $127 they quoted me. My car and I are actually happy in hindsight that I didnt let them touch my vehicle. There has been zero oil leakage since changing the filter and gasket, just as I recommend and insisted to the manager. Thanks for absolutely nothing Firestone.

At two separate times I took a vehicle into the Firestone. The first was for an tire rotation . The second was for an alignment for witch I had purchased a lifetime alignment for. Both times I was quoted several repairs that totaled close to $3000. I refused the repairs and took the vehicle to another nearby shop. I did not mention to the other shop about the repairs that “needed” to be done. I requested an front and rear alignment and a brake pad check. The second shop found no extra problems for the vehicle that would justify $3000 in repair.

The service guy or manager seemed to not want to provide me with service I desired suggesting I go someone else to balance my wheels due to the speed at which the vibration was happening. This was the first sentence he said to me. I was the only customer there so that was weird to me as if he didnt want my business especially since I can see town fair tire from inside their building and drove past pep boys and other repair shops to get there. Then he denied the tech the ability to plug my tire that had a nail in it saying it was too close to the side wall (I disagreed) and I had the tech check with the square they use to measure it and it had room before hitting the sidewall. Just to try and sell me a tire. Luckily I have worked for an automotive retailer for over 10 years and Im very much mechanically inclined as I do all my automotive work on my car (little did he know). I had a full size spare in the trunk which they balanced instead of the tire that had a nail, which I guess I will have to plug myself but would have paid them for. I have a tire plug kit at home which will repair the tire saving myself money and the aggravation of dealing with this guy. He proceeded to suggest I have both control arms done, both shocks done, brakes in the rear and replace the tire with a nail. The quote was for 2400 plus dollars. I went in for an alignment which they wouldnt do for me due to my control arms, (which I did myself and that have less than 50k on them) so they lost money, just to try to to sell me a tire. I would highly recommend staying away from this place if you dont know much about cars as they seem to be the type of place to rip people off and on top of that the service was terrible, unfriendly, unhelpful, and trying up sell me on 2400 worth of parts and labor. Be cautious at this place. Buyer beware. The new service tech however, (he told me he was new) was nice and helpful though but I will not go back to this place for future needs. Dealing with firestone within my company as they use us as an account I expected better.

I brought in a tire to be repaired that had a screw in the tread. Tire was repairable and it was already off the vehicle. Tire was given a plug and then put on the vehicle. Mechanic over tightened the lock lug nut and broke the wheel bolt and locking key. Mechanic brought it to my attention and said sorry, you will be able to drive fine. Mechanic broke the lock lug nut key which unlocks the other 3-tire/wheels, I will need a new locks, new wheel bolt and labor. I was charged for patching my tire and offered a free oil change. Why would I trust bringing my vehicle there again, can not give a reason. A very disappointed customer who had a simple issue and now it will cost me for repairing those damages. Horrible Experience! I took my Subaru Outback to Firestone on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, to have a tire repaired (nail puncture), my tire was repaired but I was told that my brakes were bad, the rear brake pads were down to 2 and the front roter and pads needed to be replaced. I was given an estimate of $600+...I was suspicious and I took my car to the Subaru dealer the same day. Subaru did a four-point inspection and told me that my front brakes and rotors were fine and Firestone out right lied to me! Subaru replaced my back pads. I called the Seekonk Firestone and complained. They tried to say that my front brakes were out of line and thats why the recommended they be replaced which is laughable. The mechanic that told me my front brakes were bad took me under my car and showed me the rotors/brakes...I know nothing about brakes/rotors. The mechanic said that he was a certified Subaru mechanic and worked for Subaru for 7-year. Clearly he was not being truthful. Im really disappointed that Firestone would lie and try to rip off their customers. Now I know why that store only has a rating of 2.5 stars. Shame on you. The Service manager from Subaru was really mad that Firestone had the gall to tell me that perfectly good brakes and rotors.

That belt had just been replaced at the dealership. I had literally driven my car from the dealer to firestone to save some on an alignment. This second time the tech said something needed replacement without even checking it, quote it Looks like it needs replacement. the part in question just passed a state inspection and had been looked at by another garage less than 2 hours before while they were under the vehicle replacing a joining part. I simply needed an alignment and my regular mechanic could not do an alignment so i went to firestone. I went there to have my 2015 Subaru Foresters rear brake pads replaced. They took 3 hrs to complete the job and broke 2 lug nuts of one of the rear wheels. They tried to pass the blame to the Subaru dealership where I had serviced the vehicle recently, saying that the lug nuts were stripped off by the dealership. They also wanted $85 each for replacing the lug nuts which they have broken. I had to go to the dealership and they replaced the lug nuts for free as a courtesy. It was no fault of the dealership at all as the lug nuts thread looked good upon inspection and it is clear that Firestone mechanic broke it while taking it off. I had to spend 5 hrs (3 hrs at Firestone and 2 hrs at the dealership) in total to get my rear brake pads replaced. This was a horrifying and frustrating experience to say the least. Avoid at all cost!
