Last week I bought a desk online and went to pick up in store / curbside pick up. Once I pushed the curbside button two employees came out quickly with a very rough looking box on a cart. I asked both employees if anyone has checked to make sure there was no damage or missing parts to the table. They both assured me that it was checked and everything is the way it was suppose to be. While driving and braking there was stuff falling out of the box. Once I got home and checked the box myself I discovered that there were multiple chipped off edges of table all over the box. I live in Missouri and took the table to a different store to return and they could not believe that I would be given a box / product in such a bad condition. When they went to take the box out of my car, the box started to break through from the bottom. Barley got the box out of the car because the box now only wasn’t broken on the bottom but also On both sides of the box as well. I am very disappointed by staff and management from this store. Will not return and wish I would have gotten names. (Management also lied to me about the condition of the desk because she came outside telling one of the guys that she could not believe he would come outside leaving 4 costumers in the store waiting in line.)
Kathleen the store manager and Danielle were both focused on superior customer service. I came in looking for several items and they both took great care of me. They are both great associates and I sincerely appreciate their efforts.
I should have gone to Office Depot instead of Office Max. It doesnt matter that they are the same company. It comes down to training and the Customer Service attitude of of its employees. I bought a floor model desk at Office Max in Shawnee KS, and was told I could pick it up today at 8am. The store opens at 9, and the manager was addement that he could not open the doors till 9am in a very rude manner. Office Depot trains their managers to TRY to solve problems, Office Max obviously does not. I sat with a truck in front of the store for an hour because of the night manager telling me the wrong time from the start, and then not communicating with the day shift even with a note to let them know of the circumstances.
I needed a specifics size box to mail out a gift. I spoke with Chris when I entered the store. He said to come in tomorrow, he would have some boxes for me. He was very cordial and helpful. Got my gift finally wrapped and ready to be shipped out. FYI: UPS was going to charge me 23.00 just to box and bubble wrap it. I spent 6.00 for bubble wrap.
We went to this store on 5/27/18 and bought a plastic chair mat and we bought the wrong size. We took it back to exchange it on 5/30/18. and had a fantastic experience. They were exceptionally helpful. They ordered the right size on line and had it delivered to our house on 5/31/18 for free. They were very friendly and took their time in helping us with our purchase. We will be going there for all our purchases. We highly recommend this store to our friends and families.
Only concern I have, I am on a walker, wish they had the shopping scooters. Personnel is very attentive, helpful and friendly, but not clingy. Directed me to what I was looking for, said to let them know if I needed an
Ive been here twice in the last week for getting paper and business cards. Both times the customer service (needing some things printed) was VERY helpful and went out of their way to re-print some things in less than 10 minutes that got printed on the wrong paper. Im becoming a loyal customer!
I really love the office support section of this store. They have bailed me out so many times. Whether its an entire workbook for presentation Im doing, or just one little thing that needs to be printed because my printer malfunctioned, they are outstanding! I was slightly disappointed in the closing staff the other night because they did not seem to know how to help me with a brand new printer that would not accept a new ink cartridge. Which I bought at the store by the way.
Went to look at office/desk chairs. Their prices were actually competitive with Amazon and had a decent mix of low and mid range options available. Got me a Serta office chair for a good price, and was out the door and on my way.
The guy working at service area didnt greet anyone or say hell be with us soon or what he is doing. Never coming here again. Dude didnt really talk and looked like he hated his job. He moved slow and gasped several times of boredom when he could have helped me quicker and not be bored.
I was sure I was not going to find what I was looking for but the help and fabulous attitudes was exceptional. They helped me find what I wanted on the store website and free shipping to my home. It was also on sale!
Ive maybe been to OfficeMax twice in my life. This location was close to me when I remembered some items I needed. It was easy to find what I was looking for and check out was quick and easy with a friendly cashier.
Came to get some prints done. I was in and out very quickly. I was extremely happy with my experience here.
Not a lot of urgency in the copy and print dept, even after I told them I was in a hurry. The store manager was greeting people (not exactly necessary) and never came to help, even though he noticed the 5-person deep line.
This store has a moderate selection and a good location. I tend to feel like theres not much reason to go there when I can buy all the same stuff online, probably for cheaper.
Nancy was super friendly and helpful while I spent a long time sitting in all of their office chairs to decide which one to buy.
Has a great selection of very specific things for your office of course. I cant say I can find the products everywhere but there is probably a cheaper version of everything at Walmart. This store is ridiculously expensive.
The customer service is outstanding. The associates really bend over backword to help--they are definitely for the customer and it shows.
Nice location and helpful employees make this a really nice store.
Good variety of reasonably priced office supplies.
Good service little waiting time to the cashier price is good Sandy fax copy good
Were very helpful in finding the office chair I needed
Excellent. HP rep was very helpful and knowledgeable very impressed.
The gentleman who helped me in the printing department was so helpful!
Got what i needed and was happy with the purchase but the cashier tried to upsell me on like 4 items and that is why i didnt give 5 stars
Great place to get office equipment and supplies.
Very nice lady in copying area
I went to print some documents. There is no self print option. The assistant took my thumb drive and printed the documents. The printing fee did not include any fee for the assistants time. Not a self service but still cost effective and efficient.
Have sale on ink.....buy two get one free....only stock two of what I need and online cant get same sale
Printing service woman was extremely rude. Dont quite understand why you would treat paying customers with such disrespect...never coming here again
Ive been using Office Max for supplies and print services for a couple of years now. Since the merge with Office Depot, I have been very disappointed with the difficulty in sending in my documents and the poor quality of print products. They had to try 3 times to print a glossy poster mounted on foam core, (they got glue all over the first one, and on the second the black came off on your hands) and even then it had little bits of debris between the poster and backing so that it had little bumps all over. Today I sent some documents to them via email, and 30 minutes later I got a response that I would have to use their online system. The paper options were not explained so I had to call in. After walking me through choosing what I would need for my project, the online system had no add to cart button. I was informed that I would need to call a corporate help center and that they simply were not allowed to print the pictures they had already received from me. The staff was friendly and sympathetic, and it was clear that these changes were coming down the pipeline. Im going to switch to a smaller print store where the staffs hands arent so tied by corporate policy and they take more pride in their products.
Like Walmart, but with a 200% markup. You shouldnt feel like you just got taken when buying school supplies.
Store looks shabby. Had to wait for two coworkers to stop chatting to pay.
Great prices great printing
They seem to have what I needed. Ridiculously long lines though.
Very helpful service
Helpful personnel.
These places seem to be ghost towns these days....
Worker was asked where the office furniture was. I thought I disrupted her break or something. She was very rude. Not much of a selection on furniture.
Lossey service
Print department was really slow
Good service
Needs more staff.
Knowledgeable staff
