Went in on yesterday just looking always love to go in never ever had an issue at any goodwill store nor even this store. But yesterday I had an issue with pricing and the rude lady Ms. Kathy that checked me out. Decided because I was speaking with a manager about her pricing of my items try to over talk the manager on duty and as he is trying to understand what is going on she over talking him and me too I say never mind and tells him Ms.Kathy needs customers service training she goes no Ms. Kathy quit! Why? I will not visit this store again need to ask around if these employees have anger issues before putting them out front with customers Ms. Kathy does not need to be around people at all
All they care about is money. They do not care about the employees, one of theirs employees just lost everything in a fire and needed a day off to go get stuff she needs and the manger Annette told her if she had the time and money to shop she didn’t need a day off so she fire her. Annette yells at employees in front of customers she embarrassed the employees in front of the customers. Annette is very rude and hateful I have heard multiple people say how rude and mean she is and that they will not go back to the Goodwill because of her. They fired a manger because they had family emergency and said that they did not let anyone know when they had the texts messages to show that they tired but they did not care. All Goodwill cares about is money and their own money. Goodwill does not care about their employees or customers. Especially Annette. We will not go back there or donate anything to them because they price their donated stuff way to high.
Just stopped in to waste a little time and let the kids look for a toy to keep them happy. Lady working there starting getting onto the kids for picking up toys and looking at them, I was right there with them they werent doing anything out of line. Really lady u got this stuff for free... anyway we left immediately after this.
I enjoy the experience but it was empty. Also once they know they have an item with quality it is immediately over priced. I wish they could get rid of the odor. I couldn’t stay long
Was fired as General Manger because I missed 2 days due to my mom having a critical emergency and was in the hospital. Then 2 days later my niece was fired for missing work because her apartment burned down to the ground and lost everything her and her fiancé owned and she needed some time. But also needed some time to shop to replace clothes. The manager Annette yelled at her and told her if she doesn’t have time to work than she doesn’t have time to shop. Most of the company only cared about the bottom dollar and gives off a façade that they care about their employees. ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE!!! I will be throwing my stuff in the trash before I ever donate to this company again, as will the rest of my family.Big changes need to happen, starting with some of the mangers that have been there for so long because they are so stuff in their selfish and rude ways. I personally witnessed Annette yell and belittle employees, both with and without special needs and to make it worse, it was in front of customers!
I love going to Goodwill! I always find something interesting for my home and you can get great bargains on clothing, bedding and jewelry. Here you can get a lot for a little $$.
Very unorganized and messy. Staff was very pleasant.
Friendly staff today (not always) could be a little better organized but overall you can still find good deals you just have to dig.
Found some Michael kors shoes there for 5 bucks and turns out there real mk shoes what a find!!
Great value fast and friendly
Great. The employees were great.
Found some really nice stockings and other Christmas decorations. Store is neat with good selection of many items. Downside was there was only one overworked but nice cashier.
Clumping all the Womens tops or bottoms(skirts, shorts, capris) together makes it harder to find that one good skirt. They charged 5.00 for a snap front blouse. We shop at 3 different Goodwills. The prices GW charges for used clothing and other products is shameful. There are alot of people like myself who shop GW because we need a really good deal not just because its a fad or cool but because its a need.
They really need to invest in a second register at this store it would really help the moral in the store.
Found some great things for Christmas coming up, but I believe a lot of items were overpriced. It’s sad because some families struggle to get holiday items especially during the pandemic. Also the cashier charged me more on two items when they were clearly written on. So I’m very disappointed and I believe I will not be coming back here. For a store that gets the items donated for free we do pay a lot.
Love this goodwill. Lots of choices. Pretty clean. Organized. And people are friendly ☺️ Its a big one too! Get a chance, need to save money, go to this one!!
Insanely over priced, its supposed to be a thrift store yet its 12 for jeans and 6 dollars for a sweater just because its a name brand, kind of disappointing, rather be at a family owned business where things are much cheaper
Little less items than the texoma parkway store but another chance to find something you like.
Workers are very kind . Everything is very neat, and clean .
First and foremost they need to upgrade on there registers 😩Having to stand in long lines at the Goodwill should be deplited geez and poor cashiers having to work there like there still living in the 50s either than the non existent of upgrades the area was pretty clean and the cashiers were nice in this overall experience 😜👍🤔😩😂😁
Great bargains! Good location! Sometimes they need at least two people at checkout, either helping checkout or sacking items tho. Other than that its a great place to shop!
I almost hate to attract more people to this place lol, but this is a great place to buy books. Especially childrens books. Most childrens books are 50¢ a piece, adult paperbacks $1 and hardbacks $2. The vast majority of the books are even in like new condition! Thats a great deal. Its also a great place to get discount picture frames. Find a frame you want and just dispose of the print in it and use it for your own pictures. Most small frames are a dollar or two, with the larger ones rarely getting more than $10-20. The frames themselves are usually worth much more. They have a large selection of clothes, but I rarely if ever but clothing here, and they have a decent little selection of dishes, baskets and other odds and ends. Not a bad place considering the low low prices.
The cleanest and most organized GW Ive ever been in! Need more registers for people to check out.
Goodwill has a lot of options when it comes to clothes. They have some good selections of dresses and skirts but they also have some really weird looking things. Its a clear mix of good and bad by donation. You never know what youre gonna find in there which makes it a fun mystery.
I enjoy finding vintage pieces and never worn designer clothes nels and sometimes handbags. Good electronics in the back. You can talk them down sometimes.
Very good selection, color coded sections and nice people
Lots to choose from. Everything is well organized. Staff was slightly helpful
Welcoming atmosphere! Friendly people! Great prices! Good quality items. Some still with retail tags intact!
It was hot! ...... I dont like were the kids books are in the store! Close to the men clothing 🤔 I dont think is wise. And I always watch and supervise my kids. Sadly no everyone does that ..
A good selection and pricing. Theyve got the clothes divided up really well. Not much in the way of sports or athletic equipment, but they seem to have more furniture here than most locations. Definitely worth a stop if you are out bargain hunting.
Needs more changing rooms and brighter lighting and better mirrors for viewing clothing.Great service. Great choices. Great prices.
Found exactly what I was looking for 😁 great costumer service.
Nice clothesPeople Are friendlyMy only complaint is :I know A Lot of things are newBut it is donated to GoodwillBut it is Wrong to charge the prices that Goodwill charges when they get it for freeI know they have to make money to run the place. Pay employeesBut it is just the world we live in
The Sherman goodwill is alright. My ex wife bought a really nice computer from computer corner there. The prices are reasonable and staff is helpful
Prices are way to high! Didnt appreciate items marked with a permanent marker.
Aeful setvice. the cashier was so slow therewas a 15minute wait for me .there were only 2people in front of me. when i got to desk i already had my clothes off the hanger. the cashier multiplied extra numbers i mentioned to her and she rolled her eyes. my total was $50 for 10 shirts that were on half price rack. and she wouldnt re ring up.
They are always nice and I just about always find tags on the stuff I buy.
The store needs a remodel staff is nice and they are very well stocked for a resale store
Great place to find stuff at okay prices. Also the computer is my favorite part most of the time they have great stuff for sale.
One of the most unorganized stores Ive ever seen. Takes too long to sort through hundreds of things just to find something in the size youre looking for. Nothing in the entire store is sized on racks! Its also too expensive compared to other Goodwill stores. There was one man working the floor that was outstanding in helpfulness and attitude.
Myeh. Big, but there usually is not much there. The computer room is a plus. Otherwise, nobody ever seems to know anything about anything.
Ez to give
Great. Very helpful
Found two coats and several books I have wanted for a while. Great place to search for the items you may need. And it helps out the community as well.
Goodwill in Sherman off Texoma Parkway has the best stuff I found two pairs of boots today that Ive wanted for a wall and they look brand new got me address I got a pair of pants scout shirt got a CD they got anything you could want and its all nice name brand stuff you just got to dig a little bit
Colby knows computers better than anyone I know
Prices are high for stuff they get for free. I know for a fact that the staff when there sorting through the items in the back, they keep the best stuff for themselves. That might be the only perk for working there. It smells bad.
Well, I was truly trying to be the optimist. I like to read others reviews however, I will most often give the establishment an opportunity to prove the negative tone false. (especially if they have what I NEED)Rude, childish and down right disrespectful. I dont know what is going on at this particular Goodwill location. What I DO KNOW is, there is NO EXCUSE for it, non profit, high end, deep end.... Or not. Ive frequented many Goodwill Industry stores in many different cities that all manage to employ descent staff while remaining focused on their main objectives. One does not have to be sacrificed for the other as some of these reviews would suggest. Truth be told, it is actually a disservice to the Goodwill Industries. Has no one from other Goodwill stores shopped here? How does this happen when obviously the public, customers, voice over and over and over again the fact of the matter, how does this go overlooked ? Whatever is going on here, IT IS BROKEN. It needs to be fixed.
I love goodwill. Ive had many good finds. But I would have to agree with others that they price things way too high nowadays. Its donated so everything you make is profit why do u have to ask an arm and a leg!?
I prefer this goodwill over the other one in sherman but Im sad about how high the prices have gotten. There is a dining table and chairs set thats priced $1500....come on guys, its goodwill! If we wanted to spend that kind of money we wouldnt be shopping at goodwill!
My favorite treasure hunting store. Pretty pricey for used stuff, but have found some really good deals in there. My granddaughter says it smells like old people... moth ball smell.....
The location on Lamar is a complete mess. Impossible to find anything. Nothing is sorted. There were areas completely unmarked to even tell if it was mens or womens clothing.
They have a good selection but have yet to have a pleasant experience with any of the employees that I have met.
Lots of YA books. Clean store. Nice staff. No A/C in the old building, but they have fans.
Im very impressed with the new computer center. Its nice to be able to buy a used computer that will actually work!
Found clothes for my son and great books to read great prices on both.
A lot of good buys, especially if you are bargain hunting.
Great deals on nice clothes!! Takes a bit of digging. Thankful for this resource.
Bad parking lot. Only one cashier with a line of at least ten people. A woman was helping the cashier bag items and she was criticizing him the entire time he was ringing people up.
All goodwills need the computer corner. Consistently a good thrift
Goodwill is supposed to be about people in need, now its more about money. A woman and child came in,in need of shoes and a coat for her child and was turned away because she had no money.. A lady kindly bought the woman and her child shoes and coats for both.
Good selection of items good prices and helps the community
What a great place to find a awesome deal. I have found treasures here for low, low prices. I love shopping here.
I bought some great used clothes @ great low prices. It was fun.
Neat and organized. I could prowl through that store for hours. My son found Star Wars t-shirts and I found some work clothes and shorts for $14.
Its a good place to shop for a thrift store.
Today they were as great as always
Great selection of clothing for women. Not much for kiddos. Everything under 4t is tossed in bins so if youre in a hurry I wouldnt recommend
Its Goodwill... You can find good stuff here.. but its hit or miss. The new electronics section is nice.
Nice selection, very large location.
People here are friendly and pretty good prices. Can always find something I need and can afford.
Nice people but exspensive for a second hand store
My favorite Goodwill. They always have great items to chose from. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are very reasonable.
Name brands, great prices!
Clean and fun to check things out here. Always find a treasure or two. ^^😇💞🍃🕊
It was to hot inside the store to enjoy shopping there.
Ling time thrift store shopper. Usually good variety
I seriously loathe having to patronize this place but sometimes its a necessary evil. The people that work here are freakin rude! I have yet to encounter a pleasant individual that works at this location. If there were more options for clothes that are gently used Id give THEM my business.
Picked up a leather coat for less than $20 they have a great selection of coats. Some very high DC dollar for cheap
Most of their stuff is overpriced. But you can find some good deals.
The staff is very helpful! They have quite a bit of stuff! This trip we got everything from drinking glasses to clothes. A rug and a wall painting!
Its like a box of chocolates, you never know what youll find.
Walked in and could not take the smell. Smelled real strong of mildew. We have had a lot of rain, guess their carpet must have gotten wet. I had to leave
Not a friendly place. There was a worker there that was rude to customers. She had red hair past her shoulders. She accused a lady of taking something. The worker just went started taking stuff out of this ladys purse. Without her permission. Thats sum you dont do. I would have hurt someone going threw my things without asking me. No one goes into another womans purse. Do not shop here. Prices are also way too high esp on used dishes, toys. These people are making a lot of money on donated free items given too them then turn around charge way too much. I think they are racists as well. If your not white, they will follow you around.
This goodwill had a LOT to offer, lots of space & was well organized. The staff was helpful & friendly & I was able to find quite a few items for my ever-growing 5yr-old!
Everyone should be aware of the moral work they do here. Shopping with goodwill helps the environment and the folks who learn to be a part of society by working there.
Super organized clothing, always busy on the weekend and only one cashier.
Usually well stocked. Not all workers are so kind. I can think of 1 in particular. One of the reasons I dont do as much shopping at this location any longer. But Ill be nice.
Worst goodwill ever!Whos running this place? Most items are way overpriced and to make worse they write the prices with permanent marker on the inside of the garment and then the manager thought : how can make the suffering even more painful?, I know!Put 2 little old ladies (with worse eyesight than mine) to try to find and read the prices inside the items by turning them inside out and holding everybody up until they decide: should I stand in line and pay for this overpriced t shirt ? Or dump the whole thing right here and give the underpaid employees more work ? Lol
Donate to Goodwill!!!! The money made from your donations help create jobs for people who are usually unemployable due to mental illness, mental disabilities, people with felonies,
Best computer shop ever!
Always clean and well stocked with good items.
So many things to choose from so affordable compared to LA lol.We have just moved from CA to TX we are saving so much at the store. Unbelievable prices on great merchandise !!!
Cool stuff, and great bargains. Always service with a smile.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Ive been in a few times and have witnessed the special needs employees be treated with so much disrespect by the other employees that are supposed to be looking out for them. Also theres no way to know how much youll be paying at check out. The lady with the short brown hair will make up prices on the clothes when you get to the register. Its supposed to have a price in the clothes or theres also a guideline on the racks, but apparently she doesnt have to go by any of that. Im really appalled by the things Ive witnessed here. They need some managers that have a heart for special needs people and that dont try and rip off their customers.
Good selection but slightly high prices.
A place to find knick knacks of all kinds some good prices other stuff to out ravenous when its donated. They feel they have to price it so high end when its DONATED
A very large selection, but hard to find what you are looking for because the sizes are completely mixed up and disorganized. Can find some great deals as long as you have plenty of time to shop.
You can always find something for your self or home here
