We booked in advance a week before to pick up our Uhaul. We drove 30 min to this location. When we arrived they told us someone mistakenly took our Uhaul and we had to drive extra 40 min away just to get another one. So you guys let someone mistakenly took my Uhaul, messed up my schedule was my fault ? They said they couldnt do anything about it so we had no choice but to drove to the other place. No one took responsibility there. So we basically we wasted around 2:30 hours of driving just to get our Uhaul. We missed our schedule and finished the moving at 2:00 in the morning. Thanks a lot. No refund or discount were given to us. Yeah thats my 1 week beforehand appointment went.

I have used this location in the past for truck and trailer rentals. Great staff always looking to help and very friendly. Their boxes and other packing items are great and very affordable. Lots of hitch and towing options

The trailer was fine- the parking lot is a disaster. One of the lot boys came out and started getting extremely rude about where I was parked …. Maybe take the trailer stands out of the parkingSpots RIGHT IN FRONT…. Had a 7pm reservation and didn’t leave the lot until 730, I will search for a new place to rent from…. Is ryder still in business?? Or rent from Lowe’s or Home Depot

We booked a 15 truck at this location a week ahead of when we needed it. When we arrived to pick it up at 10:00 AM the day of our move there was a massive line. We ended up waiting in line for an hour and half to get our truck. Mobile check-in didnt work. This occurred during a sweltering heat-wave in Seattle so we were standing in 85 degree weather and were in the sun for much of the wait. There is no reason why pick-up (especially for a pre-reserved and check-in truck) should have taken this long. The truck itself was fine.

Thanks Keyle! Awesome Customer Service! Today, I tried shopping on the North Seattle U-Hauls website for a quick curbside pickup. But the website for U-Haul was not allowing me to shop at this location. So, I call the store and Keyle answered the phone. I explained to Keyle about the website showing items out-of-stock at my local U-Haul. Keyle was kind and she checked to see if any of my last minute packing items were in stock. Every item was in stock and reasonably priced. In addition, Keyle answered a few questions about a future reservation and about one way truck rentals. Keyle was so very helpful to me. Within the last 3- months, this has been my second encounter doing business with North Seattle U-Haul. The reviews just dont reflect the experiences Ive received so far. Good people working there and I highly recommendU-Haul Storage of North Seattle! I Support Local Business! and Family Owned!

Got a 26” truck with 1/4 gas. The thing drinks like a fish, so before you know it your out of gas. Plus had to return it 1/4, so of course you over fill. No refund.Truck was the oldest and poorest truck I’ve ever seen. Steering was totally messed up and breaks seemed to jam.When we picked up, we found the 26” too large, asked if we could get a 20” instead: “no sir, all allocated”. When we returned the truck the lot had at least 10 x 20” trucks.Disappointed

I went to Uhaul of North Seattle yesterday evening to unload my ubox. Since my fiance and I couldnt get everything done before close, the manager said we could drop by tomorrow to finish up. The ubox wouldnt be blocked in by others.Today, when we went to finish unloading, we were told the box was buried behind others and we would have to schedule access 24 hours in advance. The guy at the counter never checked our reservation and defaulted to saying it wouldnt be possible. Frustrated, we checked the lock on the first ubox in the container and confirmed it was ours (see the attached picture). It was 4:00, uhaul closes at 7:00, nobody else was around, and we were happy to wait however long it took to pull out the ubox. Still, we were told we had to schedule access 24 hours in advance...Ive had good and bad experiences at this uhaul location. Each bad experience recently has been connected to one heavier set employee with glasses and a dark beard poking out from under a plastic paintball type mask. I wish I knew his name so I could be more direct. It seems he does as little work as possible, trying to put things off for people working the next day. My fiance and I are very frustrated and would be just about done moving into our new place of not for this uhaul employee. I have friends in the north Seattle area who would gladly do his job. If it helps replace him, feel free to reach out.

Don’t have enough staff, slow to help customers, worst of all they didn’t even have my truck when I showed up. Had to come back 3 hours later to pick it up.

Rented a small trailer here, and staff was cheerful and helpful. The trailer was hooked up in a professional way (required some adjustment that I wouldnt have known how to do.). On the return there were extra vehicles parked such that I couldnt tell if they were in line for returns or just parked in the way.I did not see anyone for a little while, then I asked an employee who was in the receiving/cleaning area. She stopped what she was doing, went inside, and came out to let me know someone would be right out. From that point it was a quick return with a cheerful and helpful person. In summary, looks like good teamwork and customer service, Ill use again if needed.

Your reservation is meaningless.If you have a reservation at a specific time, it does not actually guarantee that anything will be there for you. That is not a mistake, that is actually built into their system and functions as planned.Edit: another 1 star experience 6 months later! I returned my truck BEFORE the scheduled return time and they didn’t document it as returned until 2 days later and charged 2 extra days! Spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service to get this fixed.This place is a disaster.

My girlfriend and me, got and an excellent service at this uhaul location, and because of an exceptional care and wonderful customer service provided by Mike Blanchard we will always return to this place and recommend it to other people!

These people never answer the phone have people waiting for an hour in the stores and lose reservations all whilenthenkbes they dont loose they lie about the cost and suddenly go from taking a $100 deposit to $500 rendering my family w out a way to move out belongings now as we needed to get to our destination to pick up the final cost money.Thanks a lot U-Haul or a friggin nightmare and are DOI g nothing to remedy these issues

Unprofessional service. Cheaters.They charged me for one more day for truck, and auto transport, and 2coverages (around 160 dollars more!!!).I was calling to support next day after reservation they promised me to refund 109$ what is less than they must. I asked them to send a confirmation, they told I just should wait for 3-4 days for a refund. I was waiting 1 week, but of course nothing. I called again to customer service in 1 week, firstly Rebecca from customer service hang up on me, I called again she told they will refund $125, I asked why 125 if it should be approximately $160, Rebecca went to discuss with manager and said there is no problem with charge, they are right, so no refund. When I asked to talk with a manager she told me they will call me back from Shoreline.Manager of Shoreline store called( I missed her phone) and I saw refund receipt of $80. Of course I called back and started to ask why just 80. She was angry, impolite. Finally after all our conversation she refunded me $145, what is also wrong.I paid $416.87, but should pay (109 truck+ 50.7miles(130milesx0.39)+54.95auto transport + 18(2 coverages)=232.65+taxes ~$257So 416.87-257~$160. Anyway they refunded just $145. I guess $15 it will be enough for manager and she will not cheat another customers!!!

I had a hitch put on my car by young man at this Shoreline U-Haul. So far so good, and he had excellent customer service skills and was a professional throughout that pleasantly surprised me.

Im not going to go into completely detail. I will warn you absolutely scam in how they run this branch. I will suggest you if youre reading this to not rent at this particular location. I really enjoy uhaul as a company. Also manager and district manager should be aware of what is going on here.

I was able to schedule unloading my storage box unit for a Thursday. The woman (the manager) who helped that day was truly wonderful and she said we could access it all day and she would store it in the most accessible place so we could access easily all weekend. We returned to this uhaul on a Friday and the man working was terrible (unsure of his name but he wore a heavy-duty paintball type mask due to covid and has a beard). His first story was that our unit was buried and we couldn’t access it. We then walked to the storage boxes and noticed our lock on the first box. We unlocked it to prove it was ours. His story then changed as to why we could not access our storage unit. He stated that it was “4pm” and past a certain time in the day when people can access units. We told him we had emptied another unit until 7 pm (closing time) on a previous occasion. His story changed yet again and he said he could not help us because it was per policy that no one can access their units without 24 hour notice. I let him know that the lady we had previously worked with purposefully left our box out so we could easily access all weekend. He said there was “no note.” At the end of it all, he said, “ it will take me less than 10 minutes to get your box out, but not until tomorrow at 1 pm.” We left empty handed, having had to deal with someone whose mission it was to make moving even more difficult than it already is.

Good service and helpful staff. A grown man threw a tantrum over wearing a mask and the staff handled it professionally and were able to get him to leave in a timely manner.

Dont choose mobile pick-up for this location if you plan to get your truck before they open. (Despite that being the whole point of 24/7 truck share!) We reserved a truck to pick up an hour before they were set to open, only to arrive and get a message that wed have to wait for hand delivery. (Everyone we spoke with on the phone said this was 100% incorrect, and couldnt understand why the location had done this.) Once we finally got the truck, it was missing three of the four dollies wed reserved along with it. Just a total mess and the staff had little interest in helping us get squared away.

We waited in line for an hour to get a truck we ordered through the uhaul app. This uhaul location was very rude and only cares about the money, not customer service. Do not recommend. Unless youre looking for a bad day on purpose. I mean thats up to you.

No hidden fees or prices. Lots of availability and the van was nice and clean. Drove a long way and paid a reasonable price. Just make sure you remind them that you rented equipment too or youll be sent on your way without them, obviously they dont preload the cars with the equipment for availability reasons

Mason helped my wife and with a really tricky situation. We have all sorts of variables with our move out of state and were trying to minimize costs as much as possible. He was extremely helpful as we brainstormed options and priced out different scenarios. We took up quite a bit of his time but he wasnt pushy, was extremely patient and in the end saved us a ton of money. Im extremely grateful for his help and will absolutely be using this location from now on.

Ive rented trucks from this location many times over the last few years. The checkout line has always been short, and Ive never been hassled during the return. Im glad to have them in the neighborhood.

Just try to call and get a hold of anyone! you are greeted with a 1 min long message from the manager where they drone on and on about what they sell. WE KNOW WHAT YOU SELL! why the hell do you think we are calling??on average it takes 2 min just to get put on hold so you can wait an additional 10 min listening to all that u-haul has to offer! they pick up, then tell you they need to transfer you, wash rinse and repeat. THREE DAYS ON THE PHONE! AVERAGE TIME? #) MIN! with no real answers or help. i finally had to walk in the gd store to find out if my tow hitch was installed. apparently it had been done some time they just couldnt be bothered to call me. ive have better experience with the V.A.! NEVER AGAIN USE SOMEONE ELSE OR DO WITHOUT!!!

Horribly mismanaged. The place is impossible to call or get a hold of. My reservation showed as ready online but I had to go to two different locations to get my reservation. At one point all the workers completely abandoned the store for 15 minutes while a line of 10 people were waiting. The phone rang without answer a few times during this which explains why they cant be reached. Find somewhere else to rent your moving equipment.

I get a yard of garden mulch with a $20.00 U haul pick-up truck once or twice a year. Cheapest and easiest way to do this! Easy and quick! Also, when Im on my bicycle they give me air in tires and are nice about it. Good people!

Reneged on not one, but two hitch installation appointments. I ended up buying the kit and doing it myself. But at least they were reasonably nice about it.

This company is going bankrupt in just a few years. If you dont believe me just go in to any of their stores and see how long it takes to rent or buy anything.

I go out of my way to rent here because of the fantastic service the staff at this location provides. Competent, helpful and thoughtful. I am always impressed. Truck was warmed up when the attendant pulled it up, which read great considering how cold out was and they provide free Keurig coffee to their customers. Went out of their way to correct an improper hitch installation from another location. Highly recommended.

I arrived 15 minutes ahead of my reservation time, and I was driving away with the rental in about 12 minutes. Mason was friendly and processed both the rental and return very quickly (drop off took around 9 minutes). I heard parking in the lot was very limited so I parked across the street, but there seemed to be plenty of room in the lot for short term customer parking.

By far the best UHaul rental experience Ive had in my life. Phillips consistently calm demeanor despite the stress and exhaustion of me and my spouse--which, lets be honest, is a pretty typical state to be in when moving--along with him knowing and doing his job so seamlessly made the whole ordeal that much easier. Thank you, Phillip!

Rented a truck here to move, dropped it back the next day, no problem.

Didnt have the truck we reserved! Previous customer kept truck past their reserved time!!! Offered a larger truck but we had parking restrictions so the larger size didnt work! So our half day move (7 am to 1 pm) turned into is is now a all day move in the hottest part of the day!!! No bueno!

Charged me 70$ for 6 hours of use, then charged a 20$ 2nd day convenience fee, then charge a 60$ hold fee, while their receipt system crashed and they couldnt look at anything and tell me why. The whole thing should have cost no more than 50$ if their advertising and website was to believed, I paid 3 times that. Had to call to make sure they didnt keep charging my account. Also of you get the abhorrent customer service message when you call, just press 0 to skip.

Charge me extra. I call them for explanation they hang the call on me 2 time

Ive rented from this particular location 4-5 times, and always had good experiences with friendly staff. They may be a bit overpriced, but the service is very convenient. Sometimes lines are a bit long, but other times theyre fine.

Notified less than 24 hours that our reservation we placed was not fulfilled and told us we could drive 2 hours away to get it at another location. Do not book here.

Terrible... Had reservation at 4pm for hitch installation. On the phone at 2pm they said it takes less than 1h. Checked in at 3:50. They said they are too busy because truck rentals and wont be done until 7pm. Whats the point of reservation if not reserving time to work on it? Walked out since they dont value my time. Went to Lynnwood, they actually have dedicated people for hitch job.

Ive been in here a couple times to buy packing supplies. Ive always had a fine experience - no problems, and they have an excellent return policy if you end up not using they supplies you purchased. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Call by worker lady and got yelled at because I was late bringing back the van. I had a reservation for 9:30 am and at 9 am I received a text saying my reservation was changed to 4pm and my storage closes at 5:30. So, because they changed my reservation time last minute but not the duration, I got yelled at by a sh*tty employee and paid for 2 rental periods and had the van for 22 hours.

They rented my already paid for cargo van out before I even got there (which I arrived on time for!) who does that!?! If I could give them zero stars I would. Horrible location.Also I want my money back for the moving tools I never received. Im livid.

Wait time always like 30 mins to an hour standing there even I just try to buy a mattress cover. Maybe have separate counter for quick checkout will help your customers.

I needed a truck to haul some unexpectedly bulky tree trimmings to the green dump.I made one call to U Haul and in 30 minutes I was in a truck. It is a little freaky driving a big box down the road but it had plenty of space for the job and fit all the junk I needed to haul away.I turned it in when I was done and all told I spent $50 on the rental and saved HUNDREDS instead of paying a service to pick up my landscaping mess.This U Haul location has everything, lots of trucks, boxes, hitches, blankets. It is the nicest U Haul location I have every been to and I have used this type of service for years.Highly recommended!

Made reservations to pick up a truck, showed up on time and they were closed. They told me they would be open till 7, and closed at 5. On top of that I saw a man leaving and asked him if he was an employee, to which he replied I am when were open. And refused to offer any help or respect. This may be the worst service Ive ever received. I hope they go out of business. I would give them negative stars if I could, they dont deserve one.

I made the mistake of returning to this place to rent a vehicle after having a poor experience 11 months ago. They are either incompetent or scammers. I rented a truck and drove 6.6 miles but was charged for 39 miles. After pleading my case with management on the phone they mysteriously refunded $3 when i should should have been nearly $50. Also the fuel level in the truck did not match what was on my contract. When I told them about it they said they would note my account. So they did refund the erroneous fuel charge, but not the extra mileage. Overall a very bad business.

Cancelled my 26 foot U-Haul I reserved 2 weeks in advance only 36 hours before we were supposed to move. Extremely rude over the phone and gave no other options to help fix the problem.

Rarely did I get phenomenal service but they always have the trailer I need for a reasonable price.

I picked the same time as everyone else to go to U-Haul, the end of the month. All the employees were hustling and doing their best. There was a line of probably 15 people when I got there, I ended up waiting maybe 20 minutes. Fair enough.

I called to see if a pick up truck was available to rent at the 165th location. It seemed unusual to ask for my name, email address and phone number, but it must be a U-Haul procedure. Then I needed to leave a credit card number to reserve the vehicle. Once arriving at the store, I was assisted right after the previous customer. I was to return the vehicle in the same condition I was taking it. Be sure to check how much gas is in the tank because the paperwork said to return it full, but in reality it was 7/8ths full. The lot attendant happily changed it on the paperwork and I was driving off the lot in no time. Return was timely and painless.

I rent u haul on Saturday at 6 pm to Kirkland and I suppose to return it on Sunday in the same time. The owner did not tell me that I can return 24/7 so I waited for tge next day. I called in to ask if they would be opened but they said that they closed at 5 pm on sunday so I did not return it becuse I thought that they were closed. I called in 7 am on Monday to ask,one of the emplyers told me to return before 5 pm. Should be find. But when I returned the owner charged me for 2 days. I am not suppose to pay for 2 days.

The trucks are clean most of the time Ive rented from them and the staff seems nice. The truck did its job and I was able to return it afterhours.

We waited a literal hour to pick up our truck we had already ordered online. The employees are inattentive and generally incompetent at operating their systems. Even when we got to the front of the line, the employee seemed to have no idea what he was doing and had to call an outside office to ask for help. He had sent our truck out to someone who wasnt supposed to have it because he was flustered earlier in the morning. Just absolutely ridiculous.

Bad experience. We were using the app to pickup a truck, when we are about to finish the process and pickup the keys a guy from the store comes and says the truck is not available and we need to use another one, we go inside and waste a bunch of time trying to get a new one.

Nothing but positive experience. Professional, helpful. Called them 3-4 times and, yes, had to hold once but certainly not unreachable as one reviewer said. Was he dialing the right number?

Very overpriced; far away from Seattle metro area but has loads of trucks. UHaul in general is difficult to deal with anymore. Call Pods get a better experience. UHaul needs an overhaul!!!

My rents was great I returned it early and parked it right out I accidentally locked the key inside I receive a cal from the gal stating they have to charge me for a towing company to come out and get in the truck to retrieve the key. I was not happy with that at all where do they keep the spare keys

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS CENTER. This center is unreachable by phone, if anything goes wrong during your move or with your contract there is NO way to speak with their management or customer service reps. This store forwards 100% of their phone calls to an offsite callcenter which cannot help you reach them! Their staff is improperly trained, lazy, and rude! By far the worst Uhaul center I have ever seen!

Have used this location on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Service is always good.

The Shoreline U-Haul was the worst experience of bait and switch I could have ever imagined.They should never have pricing of 19.95 on the trucks because you will never see that price anywhere. They never informed me of the milage pricing and put 100.00 on my credit card immediately. The customer service was horrible and I hope I never have to go there again.

Short story --- UHaul sucks, rent from Handy Andy instead! ------------------------------ Long story -------------My wife and I rented a 20 truck for a move. In the days leading up to the move date, I received three separate emails confirming my reservation for the truck at 9 AM Saturday morning. At 9 AM, my wife dropped me off at this UHaul and left (since I was going to drive the truck back to our apartment for the move).I was told at the counter that the person who had the truck that I had reserved had not returned it, and there were no other trucks available at that location. There were no apologies and no empathy. I was told that they had transferred me to the next closest location, which was downtown Seattle, according to the employee. I left the store and ran 2 miles back to our apartment (my wife had already left and didnt have her phone on her), taking with me a business card that the employee wrote the address and phone number on. However, when I mapped to the address on my phone, it showed the location as Lynwood, not downtown Seattle, like the rep told me. I called the number on the card to verify they had a truck for me before I went to Lynwood. I also asked if they were indeed located in Lynwood, and I was told that they were on the phone.My wife and I drove to the address to find ourselves in the middle of an empty street, no UHaul in sight. I called the number back, and it turns out that the location was actually Arlington, which is over an hour away. They had written the address wrong, and had told me on the phone they were located in Lynwood even though they were in Arlington.So I called UHauls corporate number. I explained the situation and said that Arlington would not work, thats too far away, and asked what other accommodations they could make since they had broken our agreed upon reservation and their guarantee. Not only did she say that there was nothing she could do and that I would have to go to Arlington, but when I said that wouldnt work and my reservation would have to be cancelled, she said I would still be charged the reservation fee! I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was out of the office.Long story short: UHaul did not have the truck I had reserved. They transferred me to a location over an hour away and wrote the address incorrectly. They told me on the phone the incorrect location. They refused to help the situation and make it right. They still tried to charge me for the reservation that they didnt meet. And I did not receive a single apology throughout the entire ordeal. Luckily, day of Handy Andy was able to hook us up with a truck for way cheaper than UHaul would have been anyways, and it worked out great.I am never renting from UHaul again, and I advise anyone reading this review to do the same.

There was a slight issue w my truck, but they did everything to make it better. I also heard them call someone else to let them know that they were accidentally overcharged and wanted to make it right.

I went through that process at least 5 times and NO ONE ever called me back. Talk about the least efficient way of doing business. Now I get why they are so cheap.Do yourself a favor and spring for the extra money for a POD...Uhaul (at least in this location) has terrible service and have shown that they dont care about their customers. They charged us an extra $45 to refuel the pickup we brought back on full. $98 total to rent a pickup to go 25 miles round trip. Robbery. Thieves. Please save yourself some money and rent elsewhere. I am literally in tears over this. I dont have that money to spare on a rental that was $19.95 a day!.

They hit trucks with other trucks dont attend as fast as they should because theyre 20 mins to close if they dont like the job they can quit simple no need to rush customers

Well it was my very fist time renting there and it was horrible i rented the truck for about 5 hours finish everything i put two gallons of gas and it mark almost half a tank then next day i go get paper work and they still charge me again the gas and the guy with his rud ass attitude says u should of told us before taking the truck i even took a picture before leaving thr place he said thats nothing that i should of told him, YOU KNOW IF THIS WAS MY BUSSSINES I WILL HAVE MY CARS READY AND WITH FULL TANKS OF GAS SO U DONT HAVE THIS KIND OF ISSUES OR ARGUMENTS WITH CLIENTS BCZ AM SURE I AM NOT THE FIRST ONE REALLY DISAPPOINTED its a ripoff font know if i will come back to thus place specially with the kind of staff they have...

My experience with this U-HAUL store is a long story. In short, the manager is neglegent of his responsibilities and the staff are unengaged and clearly dont care about customer needs or issues. Kind of the opposite of what youd hope for from a customer service based operation.

The staff is great, the trucks are clean and well maintained.

I showed up early in the morning to avoid any lines in getting my truck and it worked. Everything went really smoothly with the pickup and dropoff.

They tacked on 7 miles to my final odometer reading to charge me more. I mapped out my entire route and it only added up to 42 miles vs the 49.2 they charged me. Dont use this U-Haul location. The specific individual who did my reading is named Anselmo Iglecia, if you have to rent here, dont let him be involved.

Tried to order a vehicle hauler but could never reach a person onsite. Gave up after a few calls. Call center says they cannot transfer calls to a real person in Seattle at the location. None of my questions were able to be answered by person at call center.

Fast, great service - plenty of stock available

Wasted my time. I confirmed twice on the phone they had the right hitch for my car. When I came in for the appointment to install it, they kept me waiting for over an hour before telling me the hitch wouldnt work for my vehicle. Very frustrating.
