Awful. Only 3 of 12 diesel truck lanes in service. Huge potholes all over parking lot.
I give this place about a 3 star, its an decent place to park, very busy for truck traffic. Servers at the Iron skillet during my visit were very polite. I had to knock off 2 stars for whatever the issue was with the food that caused me to emergency pit stop 49 miles down the road, and barely made it to a restroom. All of these iron skillets and sister chain country pride have a problem with the food thats served causing really bad diarrhea. To the point that its sort of a running joke in the trucking industry.
I WILL BE MAKING A FORMAL COMPLAINT!!!…i came in to get a fuel receipt on 09/27/21 young lady at the drivers fuel station cursed me out then came out of her cubicle yelling and wanting to fight all because I did not know the exact amount of my fuel purchase. Very unprofessional and just flat out ghetto!!! People like her should never be allowed to work in any customer service establishment
Good shop they are good and care about your truck, quick service
OmgThese guys are the bestI went several truck shops TADealerships no body couldn’t fix my air leaks problemsThis petro they fixed itSpecially there is a mechanic gentleman his name is Jason he is very professional
Why is no one policing the Petro of these sand haulers they got the parking lot looking like a junk yard sand every where that they have dumped on the ground making it their own mechanic shop also this needs attention
I went in on 1/14/21 to change a hub seal. I was told they wont have a mechanic till 8AM. I said ok make me a ticket so I was the first one. At 9AM still nothing so I went in and the lady tells me they wont have a mechanic in until 4PM so I said ok keep the ticket open (just incase). Still to this day (1/19/21)I have not gotten a courtesy call from them.🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑
The people working on the diesel side are very friendly and over all nice people. The deli was hot and good.
The iron skillet was the bomb, their was a young man regular toast for me. We got the breakfast bar which was great. The young man was very polite and wonderful spirit. Our waitress was sweet as well. Cant wait to return. And the bathrooms were very clean.😍😍 Thanks for the great service and great food
I would never change oil with that kind of LAZY people. they dot even answer qouestions! the guy he left me at entrance . he made me go aroun building and enter from other side but when i was entering he make me back up and when i ask why i cant enter from corret entrace he left . after couple mins i went inside and ask if they were going to cotinue work and that guy was standind frozen like i wasnt there and i left “fully satisfied”!
Extremely knowledgeable. Was at General Cable brakes camed over at gate and they had a really polite service guy(wish Id got his name) there within the hr. Got me going and escorted back to the shop and had me done in an hr...back brakes, drum, brake chamber. Keep up the excellent work!!
Great little Casino...I had $5 from Lori, a friend, wheln we left a few min. Later I had $35...which reminds me, I should probably pay her back, huh🤔
Excellent location. Plenty of parking. Food. Nice rest stop for drivers.
Very clean and tons of choices. If your a truck driver, pull right up and grab a hot shower and relax I! The lounge or hit up the restraunt while you get ready to get back on the road again!
Theres plenty if large car parking. The restaurant is nice and comfortable and the food is pretty good. Although the menu hasnt really changed all that much, and they need to bring back the Little Smokies breakfast (awesome). The restrooms are always clean. This is a nice truck stop.
Great place for travelers and truckers. Restrooms are clean, they have a nice sofa waiting area with tv as well as games. Theres also good food available! Go check it out!
THIS IS A TRUCK STOP!! THE IRON SKILLET RESTAURANT SHOULD BE OPEN 24 HRS!!! BUT THIS ONE CLOSES @ 23:00 !! SALISBURY STEAK ON BUFFET WAS LIKE CHEWING ON MY SWEATY BOOT!! (SALTY & TOUGH) MOST OF THE VEGGIES WERE COLD!!TV ROOM WAS LIKE TRYING TO WATCH TV IN A DEEP FREEZER!! ( BRING A JACKET OR BLANKET W/U AS THE A/C NEVER SHUTS OFF)!! 😠😠👎👎👎😣
Im giving them 4 stars because everything you need is right there like most stops but hey...Im here on new years day and the bowl games seem to be on every tv that they have. The restaurant smells good the place is clean and theres lots of parking today.Theres a blue beacon across the road and this petro had a grill down by the fuel island.Good food cooked I there for a sandwich on the go.Really quiet spot to rest in too.No clear pet area but plenty of grass around the lot.Im sure its this great because its the holidays but outs a good stop today.10 miles from the Texas line headed west.
Just had my truck serviced at the shop. These guys were friendly and over all great. The highlight of the shop is the Sweet Lady behind the counter. Knowledgable and outgoing. Good experience here.
Iron Skillet was actually pretty good! They had tamales and stuff I like. Parking wasnt too bad, got close to building in a non-reserved spot around 4 PM which is exceptional. However Im docking two stars for the night-shift homeless, who are numerous and aggressively persistent! The day shift homeless werent too bad, just a busker asking for shower tokens which didnt cost me anything so whatever. Night shift wanted to follow me back to my truck. NOPE!
Nice customer care got my tire changed in less than an hour highly recommended
Super clean restrooms, wide variety of on the go food, coffee and drinks, a perfect rest area to get gas and stretch
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Shower was nice and clean, good water pressure and it had hot water.Outside grounds were very clean compared to most. All around nice place.
We stopped at the Iron Skillet hoping for a good Thansgiving dinner. What a pleasant experience! A Thanksgiving Buffet that would rival any restaurant in town! Food what delicious & such a good variety. Will go again! Service was good too.
Wendy’s and diner closed “city ordinance” don’t come here hungry
10-5-19Stopped in for a quick break from the road.First off the mens RR smelled like a sewer with a foul odor coming from the urinal! They dont even have decaf coffee available! Seriously! When I asked the cashier why they dont have decaf he said they never have it and then he offered to give me 2 packets of instant decaf... Haha! No thanks!Wont be returning!
Some good food, good fuel for both tanks (belly and truck). Good people and lots of room to park and good night.
Yes! Im a local inventory Auditor, and was just taking inventory there, and everyone that works there were very helpful! I look forward too working with the team members again in the future. Have a wonderful day!
Always nice place to stop, some of the drivers need a 🚿
In major need of a remodel!
After 40 years on the road this is one of my favorite Truck Stop.one of the best buffet ever. Top of the Line services
Too many weird people hanging around outside, very young boy with backpack and smoking a cigarette, I recommend security. Its not my business but what if he was a runaway or what if he is being trafficked. People seem to think these kids are in handcuffs or something and that they should look deafly afraid however a lot of the control in those being trafficked is mental
Very nice and attentive workers, truck stop showers are cleaned an tended to regularly for misplaced/lost possession between each guest and bathrooms are held to a well schedualed degree of cleanliness.
Older truck stop and they arw AWESOME!THE FOOD IS AMAZING!SERVICE WAS NOTHING SHORT OF HAVING MY GRANDMA AROUND FIXING ME ANYTHING I WANTED.5 STARS!
Fills up quick B4 dark . foods good .. pan handlers available..
Great Ribeye and eggs and always wonderful service.
Stop break b4 getting to my kids. Love their coffee. Nice ppl. Clean place and awesome items. Go broke. Stop their leaving out every time.
My husband and I have come here to eat many times and this is the first time that we have experienced bad service. Our waitress acted as if we were a bother to her by even coming. It seemed to upset her some because our table was dirty and we politely asked if she could clean it (it was dirty when we sat down). My husband got the dinner buffet and he said that the food was okay. My food however was not okay. I ordered the Smoke Sausage Skillet. The skillet comes with smoked sausage, 2 eggs fixed the way you want, green peppers, a biscuit, cream gravy and cheese. I asked if the cook could leave off the gravy and he/she did. But for some reason onions was put in my food without asking and the cheese was left off my order. We had to ask for refills on our coffee. The other waitress on duty brought the coffee then we had to track down any creamer. Our waitress only came to our table ONCE, that was to take our order! We could hear her in the kitchen saying that she was so ready to go home. The restaurant is not even busy at all. Needless to say...WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Goodbye Iron Skillet!
Petro has def at the pumpsPetro has food at the fuel IslandPetro does not have big red or big blue at the fuel IslandBad petrol naughty Petro do not make me get out the rolled-up newspaper again like I did when you went piddle on the carpet.Does Petro want a treat? yes he does yes! Petro wants a treat!then peTro needs to put the big blue and the big red in the fuel Islandgood PetroThats right boy!!
We are stayed there over night. The store and restaurant was great. But, we had problems with the Vagrants that hang around there, bumming money. It was quiet aggravating.
The bathrooms need to be alot more clean. The ones that are supposed to be cleaning showers and bathrooms are outside smoking all the time.
It was all most to much for the waitress to figure out how to make hot tea. Yep water hot and a tea bag. That was the request. And she complained about it to 3 other waitress. Nice truck stop good parking just dont ask for the hot tea
Really busy but they have some great people and fully stocked with any and everything you need for the road
I was welcome to your restaurant by a nice and well spoken lady her name was Regina very pleasant couldnt have asked for any better service or food .If the rest of the staff are like her you have a terrific staff then I will be stopping back again
I agree with some of the others that have left reviews. The place is nice and clean and the service was crazy good! All of the servers and people working in the kitchen were playing and joking around and my drink was always full! As soon as I was done with a plate it was cleared away! The buffet was full and fresh! A lot of different items were offered. Such a pleasant experience!
This is an excellent place to get all the food, drinks and gas your heart and head desires.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Fair prices and great selection. Hot coffee.
An above average truck stop. The waitress was polite and professional. I have been disappointed over and over again by substandard service lately. The restaurant staff at this Petro is first class. From the cook to the waitress. The showers were ok. Porter gave me stink eyes when I asked for extra towels.
Never again. Gave this dump a second chance since last visit was such a disaster. This one was worse, walked in at 10 on Sunday morning. Breakfast bar looked fairly decent, that was last positive note. Waitress standing and talking, part of dinning area blocked, ALL tables were dirty and needed attention. Did I mention waitress was still talking with someone? No response from waitress back here. Go toward door and Sat in a booth for professional drivers. Apparently they are the only ones that can sit there, or that was the advice we got there from that waitress. The place should have had many folks there, sadly there were more employees than customers. I see why, never again.
Stopped here on a Friday night and they had cajun seafood on the buffet. It was the best meal Ive had at any truck stop in my 5 years of being on the road, beating even the Dodge City steak buffet. Fried catfish and shrimp, gumbo and crab cakes just like youd expect in New Orleans...simply awesome. Just wish I had skipped lunch, so I could have put more away. Staff very friendly and attentive too.
Plenty of parking. The Iron Skillet food was fresh and hot. Great service.
Food was good service was great. Sadly the ac didnt work well. The employees have to work in hot conditions. And customers have to sit and sweat just to eat. Or take a shower. Maybe they should think about fixing the air...
Just wish they would update point system like loves.
I like the food here it is awesome I can hardly wait to return sometime.
This needs managers not one part of my two day stay was good.Restaurant slow service can’t get an order correct phone rings off the wall.Shop what a joke most of all 9 hours for an oil change, pitiful.Showers need cleaning.Parking lot is jammed with local drivers making it impossible for guys who are running logs and away from their homes to park at a safe haven.
Very nice people. Needed an inverter and they truly tried to help me find what I needed.
Best and fast Fest store ever well stop there again
Restrooms clean, food smelled delicious and service was great... downfall didnt have the product that we wanted stocked that they carry... so off to another truck stop..
Plenty of parking, fast fuel & DEF pump, clean bathrooms--its a winner!
Not a safe place and 40 cents more per gallon then Loves three miles away
Good spot for a truck stop but you have a 50/50 shot at a nice helpful employee working there or one that is just rude and dumb founded by any questions
Veteran driver, been many truck stop s . But for the life of me, security: in particular lady, is mean! !!! No tack, rude, brash, and offensive. Sitting on the steps of my own truck, get jamed-up like a common criminal, Wow. She needs education in etiquette, or to be let-go.Veteran drivers dont need this type of hospitality. Otherwise the truck stop is good stop.Dont harass the Drivers that pays the salary of the employees, am done.
I took an overpriced shower here. Be careful when walking into the shower. The floor was very slippery. I also ate at the buffet. The food was really good and there was plenty for the gluten free person like myself to gorge on.
Was in a shop. Was wait in bay for 1,5 hour and they dont start work on me. Did a cancel order. There was one truck in whole shop and one guy working on it at 10:30 a. m. . I count 5 guys walking around and just talking... Never come back again here.
This is where I stay when in Shreveport. But if management can’t cure a problem, I won’t be back.Several times I have been approached by someone asking for money. It really hasn’t been much of an issue in the past.Tonight I had a lady pull up to the drivers side of my truck in her car. She was asking for gas money. Less than five minutes later a different woman walked to the drivers side of my truck and held up a sign asking for money. Then, once again, less than five minutes goes by and a guy wanted to polish my wheelsTHREE times within a 15 minute period I had someone approach my truck wanting money from me!!!After the third time I left and drove to the T/A down the street.I won’t return until Petro management runs these people off of the property.
The coffee was horrible, and overpriced. The cashier seemed like I was bothering him when I approached him to checkout. The restroom could also use some attention.
5 stars sheerly for the cleanliness off the restrooms! Easily the cleanest restrooms Ive ever encountered and I travel quite a bit. They also have a very large pet walk area. The only thing that could make this place better is if the pet walk was entirely fenced so I could let the heathens loose to run off some energy.
Nice employees. Pretty good selection of stuff.
The cashier was very very very nice and friendly from the on pump 11 she was friendly to every driver that came in a reason to have a great day at work and I can that she love her job if I ever stop thru there again I will buy her lunch
Always clean. Friendly service. The gas station doesnt have as much selection of snacks as the truck stop part but it isnt out of the way.
Tens of free spots taken by dropped trailers. Trucks parked alongside walls and places where no parking is marked. Drivers who come to spend their 10 hrs here be prepared to pay for parking. This place is a mess.Per the clerk himself this is an ongoing issue and nothing is being done about it. Manager was nowhere to be found.
Thats a really expensive place to go even the coffee is spendy not bad on the gas clean restroom and clean every where else
Ooh my this is the Greatest place Ive been. The people are awesome waitresses, staff - there are very polite, patient & courteous.you should come on by and taste this wonderful food.the buffet is extraordinary. Man, God this is Heaven !...come and see for your yourself...Eleazar C.
Clean restrooms. Nice selection of snacks and food. Courteous staff. Easy access in and out.
If you dont mind a restroom that is always dirty, love this your place. At least the coffee is always fresh Java amore in cinnamon hazelnut
Louisiana truck stops seem so sketchy, this one included. I expect better of national chains. Im just hoping there are functioning security cameras. Not my choice to be here, have to meet someone.
I went to get their buffet out of food empty slots fresh food not available I walked away I would not recommend this place
Sorry didnt shop there its Nice tho . But I just dropped off A Trucker there to leave and he Loves it. No street Walkers . But one panman that been there for yrs. We feel SAFE there.😎
I love stopping here for gas, snacks, souvenirs, or whatever. Also nice all you can eat Buffett.
Friendly staff and fairly clean. Lots of truck parking. Good food and service. Only down side, there are a lot of tweakers roaming around the lot
We dont usually have the time to stop at Petro and when we do it can be stressful but the staff was awesome and it was surprisingly easy to find a parking spot close to the main building for a big truck. The staff was great and an awesome representation of the South.
Only stopped at the fuel island. Ladies room was spotless, nicely decorated. There was a CUTE little high top, wroght iron bisteo table with 2 chairs outside the main door. Staff was friendly and polite. I was not disappointed in the least. They appeared to have plenty of options hot food wise.
A very sketchy rest stop. Very difficult to get too.Apparent ladies of the night surrounding the parking lot. The store clerk was rude and suspicious of my kids. He kept watching their every move. Extremely creepy. Bathrooms sub par. Most definately wouldnt recommend stopping with your family.
Great place to chill out and catch a break. Waited on flixbus
What a Great Staff,,, very nice and polite. Being a Truck driver I Greatly appreciate the hospitality,,, Good customer service, a Special Thanks to Shalon, Romona and Patrick for the EXCELLENT SERVICE. God Bless you all and keep up the good service. Thanks, when ever Im in this area I will be stopping by again.
Lots of parking, decent food.
Clean restrooms. Easy on/ off the interstate
Thankyou Lord for the opportunity to serve you here great people here
How can y’all run a 24-7 shop and I go in and ask about getting an oil change any time today and the cashier at the service desk says no more oil changes today!!! This is very unacceptable for a 24-7 truck shop! Very poor customer service! They should really consider new management or close. Every time I stop here it’s an issue
Customer service at the fuel Island area is horrible. I had stopped to grab a boudin sausage and as I was waiting nobody said anything to me, so I asked the lady was she serving, and she said in the rudest way Im waiting on you! I would have known if I was at least greeted. Also, the Boudin is trash. The Petro boudin on I-10 in Southern Louisiana is much better. I Wont waste my time and money here again.
Rude people that don’t care if you are there or not. I won’t be fueling at petro or ta, again.
So I ended up getting a flat on my rims coming from Houston..I ran into this young Hispanic guy who worked for a towing company for the big semis at the petro place..thank goodness he helped me swap out all my rims and put my factory tires back on..this was truly a blessing..I dont even know his name but he lives in texas and works on the Louisiana Shreveport border though..anyway Im just glad he helped me out..god bless him and his buddy ray I think...thank u guys again..
Parking fills up very fast so get here early 8f you want a spot.Never went inside so can not help you out as far as that goes.
