Knowing nothing about the town I Googled auto repair and found that the auto shop which already had amazing reviews. Gary worked me into an already busy schedule and diagnosed the problems....He didnt even charge me!! His Advice helped me make the right decision and get home to VA. GARY U WERE GREAT THANKS!!!

First off, I have been taking my Mercedes Benz to the Auto Shoppe for over 10 years now. The owner Randy and his son are knowledgeable and honest. The prices cannot be beat and for the most part .. all parts are OEM, dealer parts. Keep in mind this shop only works on Mercedes Benz. I will be upgrading to a newer Benz later and knowing I have this shop instead of the dealer gives me peace of mind. This shop truly deserves more recognition!

I have dealt with Randy for over ten years. Will only do what’s necessary and prices are phenomenal. They were recommended to me by another mechanic who worked on my Non-Mercedes. Recommend highly!

When I purchased my vehicle, the previous owner gave me a recommendation for this establishment. My first contact with with Brad, I then also met the owner, Randy.Since first meeting them, I have had, ( while not a substantial amount) quite a bit of work done..... 92 300E... 210,000 mi. ....I am consistently impressed by both his,(their) honesty (integrity), and knowledge.Allow me to preface this review with this statement..., I am, by no means, gullible nor unknowledgeable. I am very tight with my finances. With that said, while in conversation with Randy (owner), I tried to push him into doing some extra work on my vehicle, to which he replied .... This car is in great shape, it doesnt need anything more done to her... I replied, Randy, Im trying to give you money ... to which he AGAIN REITERATED, Bill, this vehicle really is in great shape.... It doesnt need anything more doneThat ...! ! is both INTEGRITY and HONESTY ! !What more can I say.., I shall forever take my vehicle here.

I had my 1990 Mercedes 300 towed to this shop based on a referral by a mechanic due to electronic issues with the ac and heater and noisy vibration when driving, which I knew was not related to the brakes and made sure to mention it emphatically to the owner of the establishment. The owner called me back to list out the issues with the ac and heating system and indicated that it would cost about $850 to buy the sensor, heater valve, etc that were bad. I really like this car and figured it would cost me more to buy another car at the moment, so I asked him to do the work.I discussed the issues with the vibration and he said he would drive and get back to me. Two weeks passed and then I get a call from the front office lady to say the car was ready. I was shocked and asked to speak with the owner. When he got on the phone I asked how he could be finished when I was still waiting to hear back from him regarding the vibrations and what needed to be done. He then proceeded to say, oh, that is done as well....and the total bill is... At this point I knew I had been taken by this establishment. He never got back to me with respect to the issues he found that caused the vibration. I now believe he heard vibration and proceeded to repair brakes. I am yet to go and test drive the car, but I have informed them again to test drive the car prior to my arrival for settling and pick up. This guy may know how to fix a cars but his action is very shocking.MY ADVISE TO ANY PERSON TAKING A VEHICLE HERE IS, NO HAND SHAKE DEALS no matter how charismatic they appear... I am going to end up paying close to $2k. I am yet to determine if the actual complaint I took the vehicle in for has been resolved. I am writing this minutes after todays incident...SMH

Had and a not so pleasant experience with this shop. They stated that they found a problem with a board on my vehicle and that it was corroded and needed replacing. So I decided to get a second opinion come to find out the part had just malfunctioned (not corroded ) due to it being a refurbished part that they themselves installed. I can only assume that they did not want to honor the warranty wouldnt recommend!

Honestly, I was a little afraid when I approached The Auto Shoppe as I am old school--and prefer a man to handle all things dealing with cars.My first encounter was with a man who was very gruff and seemed a little irritated. Thoughts running through my head were should I leave the car or take it elsewhere?? I decided to leave it, and went back to get it the next day.I felt the service was reasonably priced, and the car (which had been sitting a while before we decided to take it in) was running smoothly when I left.Oh, and the man I learned the next day was Randy. I think he was a nice guy after all who may have just been having a rough day.I would recommend them to others.

I took my car to have an a/c compressor installed and waited for it to be completed. Turned out that the cooling system needed to be flushed. I waited 3 hours for the cleaning solution to arrive so the work could be completed. So I was with my car and Randy the entire time and witnessed exactly how much he worked on my car. So when it came time for writing up my bill I was shocked that he wanted to charge me $450.00 for labor when the actual time spent on my car was less than 90 minutes. He justified the bill by explaining that if I had taken it to a dealer he felt that is what I would have been charged. He was upset that I questioned the bill and said that I was lucky that he even worked on my car suggesting he was the only mechanic who could flush the system, replace the o rings and install the compressor. I told him that I could not afford to pay him $300/hr to work on my car. I was a fan but now know that Randy is truly delusional and he tryed to over charge me when I saw everything that was done to the car.In the course of flushing the system the powerful fluid got on my tail lights and damaged the plastic lens. They made a half fast attempt to clean it and told me it would come out with some rubbing compound and sent me on my way. He also did not use a pad to protect the finnish of my car and chiped the paint. I paid a body shop to sand out the damage. So if you dont mind being over charged and having your car damaged go ahead and bring it to him and endure being told that you are lucky he is willing to work on your car.
