Amazing bookstore! While we had a pricing problem and have to drive all the way back to fix the issue, it will be a fun trip. This store is not around the corner for us, but they have the best selection! This is what a bookstore should be like. Just be sure to check your prices on discounted material to save any headaches. We will definitely be back, even if it is for a cup of tea and to browse the shelves some more. We barely scratched the surface on our first visit.

If youve never stepped in there you are inn for a big surprise! It is an amazing place with a world of interesting an exciting things. next time you want to explore just stop in and see as much as you can in whatever time you have. Youll be back!

This not 1/2 priced books, although they have many deeply discounted books. Table books are plentiful whatever youre interest. Its forte is that if you are looking for a specific subject, they have or can get it for you. Magazines galore, great snack/coffee bar with seating. You can spend hours in the store without realizing it. Throwback to the days before internet and streaming.

What a wonderful place to find all kinds of books for teachers, teaching and learning.

Nice bookstore with vast selections among my favorite is the Walking Dead Series comics, many of these book stores have closed so its nice to find one nook store that hasnt. They also sell toys and Supa Mario Bros. Plush Toys. Watch out DK stole the princess again I saw him carry her to the top of the book shelf with one hand, princess over his shoulder. Received a gift and when I wanted to exchange the book that I just got a couple of days ago here is the reply: its been over 30 days now (a few days off) we cant exchange it. Now I am stuck with a book that I dont want.Recommendation: dont buy books here nor gifts.

I love Barnes & Noble so much because Im a book and writing nut, so why not

Loved how spacious this B&N was!! What I loved even more was the fact that masks weren’t required but encouraged when we came! Felt so good to finally be inside without a mask!

It is one of the better Barnes & Noble locations in the Skokie Il area. It is a spacious two level store where it is easy to find any books on most any subject. The staff is knowledgable and helpful.

Helpful friendly employees. They have an awesome 2 story set up. Elevators, bathrooms, right next to an outdoor mall w plenty of places to eat or shop.

Its nice to go to an actual book store, its huge!! They have a lot of selection of magazines and music as well. You can spend hours here. We try buy something every time we visit, just so we can support an actual book store before Amazon takes over completely.

The most expansive bookstore Ive been in. Clean and comprehensive.

Love Barnes and noble! Its one of the few places left where you can still find that lovely new book smell!Also, they have a great little cafeteria which I love to eat at during lunch (I work in the mall)Not to mention tons of fun trinkets and board games and other cool stuff!You can never go wrong with Barnes and Noble!

Good place and good variety of books.

Beautiful location. Vast and laid out well, book lovers can easily spend all day here. That is if they can get past the smell of the downstairs restroom that permeates the air and makes you want to check out as soon as possible. Really hope they can figure out why its so bad and fix it :(:(

This is my favorite Barnes and Noble location. Staff are super passionate about books and great to ask for recommendations.For the manga fans they recently expanded the manga section which I was personally very excited about.I dont really know why this location feels so special to me but the underground sales floor is just exciting. Its generally a pleasant experience.

Good selection of sci-fi/fantasy and manga

I asked the lady at the customer service desk about a book and she was absolutely rude! Gave me such an attitude. The staff there are so snotty and are not helpful. I didnt feel respected I always enjoyed browsing or shopping here at Barnes and Noble. But today being here was not my better days.

Very large Barnes and Nobles, with alot of selection from kids to adult. The architecture of the place looks magnificent . My daughter of 3 had a fun time waltzing around looking at things she wanted to buy. I was able to find the movie Signs that I couldnt find at any other local big box store.

Seemingly, the last giant standing in the lonesome wild wild west of book stores. Hooe they stay open for eons to come! Best thing about old orchard, by far and profoundly enriching experience every visit.

Love this real books place

This Barnes & Noble is your standard two-story B&N bookstore. They have a decent sized section of discounted books. They also have several shelves of games. Surprisingly, they still have a music section.

Have not been inside a Barnes and Noble in over a year so happy to have walked in these doors and know I am home again 😊 especially when my local barnes and noble closed in Evanston 😭

This place has a great coffee shop inside and a great selection of books to browse...clearance sections too 😀

Someone who Im pretty sure doesnt even work at the Starbucks but rather in the book section came by to tell us that we couldnt have three people to the table. Something about it being due to covid, but I dont see the problem with three people who are family sitting close together with all other tables being spread apart. After returning the chair to the other table she left me just standing there coffee in hand. She walked behind the counter telling the cashier to, make sure they dont grab it again. Absolutely terrible and inappropriate conduct especially for someone who should be minding their own business organizing books or something.

Grateful breakfast and food quality is great, the staff is kind and respectful

2.5 months ago, I purchased a movie on Blu Ray from the Old orchard Barnes and Nobles. Due to health issues, I wasnt able to open the product until yesterday. To my disappointment, not only was it the wrong version of the film, but the booklet that is always included with Criterion films was also from the wrong movie. I didnt think there was a chance that anyone at the store could help me. Today, I went to the store and explained my situation to Jim, who was one of the managers on duty. He was incredibly understanding of my situation and immediately found a replacement copy. I cant thank you enough for your commitment to providing excellent customer service. You truly made my evening shine! Thank you so much!

Love this Barnes & Noble! Its big and beautiful and the employees are super helpful. We went to Chris Hogans book signing of Everyday Millionaires and the employees at the door were so friendly and eager to help. Huge selection of books!

It is so big compared to the woodfield location and the UIC one downtown. There are so many books and their childrens section has a good selection of books. The workers are nice and the cafe is clean

Large selection and staff is very helpful. The music/DVD section downstairs is great. One of the largest selection of Criterion Collection movies (DVD/Blu-ray) Ive ever seen!

Honestly a very nice and quiet place to study or read the day away. Popular hangout for young adults during the evening however so do be advised.

The Old Orchard location is great because its so big. Theres a lot to see. So much to choose from. Check-out is always a bit slow, but the employees are always so helpful.

Great selection of books and the layout of the store is great and simple to find what you are looking for.

Ordered books by phone and they broke to curb.

Barnes & Noble at the Old Orchard Mall is always nice to go. If not for a deliberate reason to get a specific book, then to browse and find one that might trip your fancy. Very helpful and pleasant staff to assist in literally anything of a question. And if they in particular dont know the answer, then another staff member certainly will.

Awesome and always great place to kill time with kids and get book that will be passed on.

This place has great books, but there a serious problem with the costumer services that make uncomfortable the costumers because preconceptions and attention to people who spend money here.

We shop for books to donate to worthy causes every holiday season. We count 10 great books this year, plus a couple for our own family. It is always fun to see what is in stock, and read the book jacket notes, its just not the same online

Barnes & Nobles is a lifestyle and one of my favorite stores. What could be better than spending a relaxing hour going through books and interesting items and then grabbing a coffee and something to eat at the cafe? It’s the ultimate intellectual-classy man’s hangout. The only thing missing are cigars. I am a big fan of griddle cheese and B&N, hands down has the best. This particular location is large and has a large inventory. I hope they can withstand Amazon!!

BOOKS! I dont think I need to say much more, besides making sure to mention the Starbucks in store! Be careful if you think, Ive got this! Technology is great AND I can get Star-Bucks/stars for my purchase 🙂. Ended up weaving my way cross the whole mall on this hot, muggy day to get me caffeine! Least the barista was nice enough to always us to drink back at the in-store Starbucks.

What can I say, I love this particular and specific Barnes and Nobles. Its huge, with a large Starbucks area, two floors. On one floor youll discover a sizable toy area, while flanked buy rows of books that reach back into the film and music area. Its way out of my way to come here, but whenever Im in the area I make sure to stop here, pick up some joe and take a long look around. For Christmas I purchased this gorgeous, purple dyed leather bound journal for my daughter and she loved it. Nice place, highly recommended.

Great customer service. Pleasant experience

Not all Barnes & Nobles are the same. This one is kind of a literary island refuge in a sea of stores. Muted green and wood tones create a tranquil ambiance. Comfortable. The not just functional but attractive overhead fixtures. Clean. Well-lit. The open vistas from the second floor. It is quieter here than at the one in Village Crossing. Everyone else except us bibliophiles are shopping. The same benefits of membership, sales as any other. I browse nonfiction, find an author new to me, then curl up on the floor and peruse. Staff seem to have more time to help. Its a great stop to make after meals before going back to the shopping grind. Nice vibes in this place. Feed your head here.
