I bought my daughters Junior and Senior prom dress from here. We purchased two beautiful dresses from them. The service was great, and the owner went above and beyond to help my daughter find the dress she was looking for. We even showed up early not realizing they didn’t open until noon and she didn’t hesitate to say come on in and shop. I highly recommend this shop. Very reasonable prices too.

Linda is amazing! I’d like to thank her so much for taking the time to arrive an hour early, before her store typically opens on a Saturday morning, to help me try on wedding dresses. She was patient, kind, and super understanding!! The store has amazing dresses for all occasions, the prices are so reasonable, and the service is superb! We called for information on renting tuxedos and were given an appointment for the fitting. Upon arriving at Ladies and Gents the front door opened and a lady welcomed us to the store. She then made us comfortable while she went to get the woman to measure us for tuxes; Miss Courtney arrived just moments later and was a true delight while waiting on my wife and I. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and was very kind and helpful. She explained our options and how every thing worked. She had not fitted a woman for a tux before and she immediately called to get instructions on how to measure a woman for a tuxedo. The entire store was a delight and had such a large selection. I will not hesitate to recommend this store to anyone in the future. What a great experience.

I love this boutique! Their dresses are gorgeous and Im always greeted with great hospitality upon entering the door. They are a small family runned business which I appreciate and yet sometimes they get a little crazy busy, they always ensure Im taken care of. I hate walking into Davids bridal and being bombarded by associates only trying to sell you a dress to increase their commission. This family is true, honest & have top Of the line designers. They dont need to fake hospitality like large departments stores do. Its just real. And trying to decide what I want to look like on my wedding day, I want real. They are hard workers and are here to take care of their customers. Cant wait to come back to see you guys!Meg

I sure got lucky by finding this amazing place! They had a large selection of dresses and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for for my bridesmaids as well as the tuxedos for the groomsmen for our wedding! Ladies and Gents is the best place for your entire bridal partys wardrobe. You absolutely wont be dissapointed!!

PUSHY and UNPROFESSIONAL - Upon entering the shop today in search of my wedding dress, I was greeted by a woman who asked if she could help me. I responded that I just wanted to look at dresses. She quickly and rudely responded, No, I HAVE to help you to which I responded Okay and turned around to leave the store. She attempted to change my mind by explaining that she needed to know what I was looking for so she could direct me in the right direction. I am quite capable of walking into a room of dresses and distinguishing which ones I am interested in looking at and which ones I am not. Besides, I wasnt even sure myself what I was looking for in a dress. I can understand attempting to help a customer, but its pretty basic Sales 101 that when someone says they are just looking, they want to be left alone to browse. It would have been a MUCH more pleasant experience had I been left alone to do so, and you never know, maybe... just maybe I would have found THE dress and ultimately made my purchase!On a side note, Ms. Benson, you mentioned in your response to Tramayne that you were short-staffed on the day she visited your store. That is no excuse to be rude to a customer. Again, Sales 101... and the fact that you used that excuse in writing is less than favorable. You also stated, By calling ahead, and answering a few brief questions, you can be assured that your experience in our shop will be tailored specifically for you and your needs. Which translates to less wasted time and a more enjoyable experience for our customers I disagree. Having to call ahead and answer questions and schedule an appointment is time consuming for a customer; it is inconvenient; and it is not efficient. Its nothing short of an opportunity for you to sell. We are not all suckers. Good day.

Our experience was awful and wasted half of our day. I was looking for a very specific bridesmaid dress for my girls and I wanted to see the dress before ordering it. We called over 12 places and no one had it except Ladies and Gents. So, we drove over two hours to try it on and order the dress except when we got there, they didnt have it. I dont know why they would lie to us over the phone and waste our time, gas, and half of the day. And they were even rude to me when we got there because they didnt have it. Drive anywhere else to get wedding attire if you are able.

Ordered bridesmaid dresses from here against hearing notorious things about this business around town. Of course the dresses came back wrong. Saleswoman just said this is the size recieved. No call was made to us to inform or anything. Also, you would think after spending $200+ they would have the courtesy to steam the dress for you. Nope....you get a wrinkled mess. Disregard what the internet says about their operation hours because the work what they choose. Not reliable.

We came all the way from biloxi to look at wedding gowns.We drove around for 20 mins trying to find this place because GPS had us going in circles but We finally found it. When was walked in and was greeted by an older lady who asked what could she help us with and We told her we would like to look at wedding dresses and she looked at us like We spoke some foreign language. She looked at us and then was like Oh. And turned around continued talking to a man she was talking to when we walked in.While the other girls standing behind counter just stood there . My sister and I walked out. To be treated like that with such rudeness didnt deserve our business...

I COMPETELY understand why they have sooooo many bad reviews!!! Listen to the all the bad reviews people! I wish I did! I went to the shop today and upon entering the store I was not greeted but glared at by two old ladies. They were both on one computer when I walked in, looked at me then continued looking at the computer. As I got closer to the counter, I was finally acknowledged by one of the older ladies who asked me what I was in the store for. I replied and told her I was just coming to see the selection of wedding dresses they have in the store. The old lady (the owner!) then responds, “NOOOO NO NO NO you can NOT go and look at the dresses! We do not work like that plus you don’t even know what you are looking for!” Then the other old lady at the computer puts her two cents in and said, “Im in another bridal appointment anyway!” So RUDE! I walked out and noticed only 3 cars in the parking lot! Ha! Two workers one bride and I cant look at the dresses?!I have no idea what the bridal gowns look like or the ordering process nor do I care because I will never go back. It’s so sad that the customer service is so terribly because I love shopping at local stores. I’ll be much happier spending my money in Mandeville, Metairie, and New Orleans, so THANKS Ladies and Gents!

I JUST HAVE TO SAY THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!! THESE LADIES WERE SO WELCOMING AND HONESTLY WAS TREATED LIKE FAMILY! IM SO HAPPY SLIDELL ACTUALLY HAS SOME CLASS AND LOVE HOW THEY ARE LOCALLY OWNED! I THOUGHT THAT I ONLY HAD THE CHOICE OF davids bridal or going out of slidell, BUT THATS NOT TRUE NOW THAT I HAVE FOUND LADIES AND GENTS, THE STORE IS SO BEAUTIFUL I FELT LIKE I WAS UPTOWN IN NEW ORLEANS AND TREATED LIKE I WAS A QUEEN, THE ATMOSPHERE AGAIN WAS LIKE FAMILY AND THE SELCTION OF DRESSES AND TUXEDOS WERE TOP NOTCH, THEY JUST HAVE EVERYTHING FOR ALL YOUR NEEDS ITS SO CONVIENT BUT I CAN GO ON AND ON! THEY ARE THE BEST! EVERYTHING WAS JUST PERFECT! GO SEE COURTNEY

Horrible Service. Upon entering the store we were not greeted by the four workers who were sitting and staring as my mom and I entered. As we approached the counter, the lady was rather rude to us. She did not inform us of how they went about scheduling an appointment of inform us of how they did business. Sucky service.
