Good fresh meats and a variety to choose from. I go there to get meats to grill and fresh fruit and vegetables. Only place I go to buy lamp chops as well. I dont live in the area thats how pleased I am.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The more I go to any Food Lion, my opinion diminishes! My most recent visit to pick up 4 items to 25 minutes. 2 cashiers, one person doing the customer service register and at a minimum 30 consumers. Its getting to the point where it would be better time spent traveling outside of my norms. Shame!

The store is clean and the associates are nice but they never have the products I need and only 1 or two people working. Lines airways long.

My one star in no way reflects on the store itself, the cleanliness, the availability of product and for the most part the friendliness of the people there. My issue is with the checkout. I spend approximately $100 every week at this store. The cashier rings up my groceries, bags them and pushes them down the counter and apparently that is the end of their responsibility. I then have to load the groceries back in the cart myself. I would think that the least they could do is put them in my cart. If this had only happened on one occasion I would just say maybe the cashier was new. But it happens A LOT, not all the time but more often than not. It happened this past Saturday, I checked out in the Full Service Lane, items pushed down the counter, as I was loading them in my cart, the cashier kept checking out other people who only had a couple of items, so as I was trying to load my cart, they were finished with their checkout and had to squeeze by me to get out. I like this store and will continue to shop here just not as much.

Ive been a Johnston County resident for nearly 21 years. Ive shop between 2 Food Lions one in Clayton and the other in Smithfield. Both stores are very, very clean. Since coronavirus the Food Lion in Smithfield has definitely increased their already clean environment. They have the disinfected shopping carts lined up and waiting as you enter in on one side and you must exit on the other side. Today, I had to take a bathroom break and their womens bathroom was impeccably well kept. Thank you to all who are involved in keeping these stores clean.

Always finding a good deal

A great grocery store that makes it super easy to get in, get what you need, and get out quickly. Produce and meats are always fresh and the employees are friendly and helpful. Lines to check out are usually short and/or move quickly. Takes the stress off of grocery shopping, for sure.

The staff at this location are kind and helpful. One worker went completely out of her way to find a product for my mother that we could not locate in town anywhere. When one came into the store she called me and had it waiting for me the next day.

I go to this food Lion regularly and its not bad its what I expect from most grocery stores but theyre parking outside is terrible they need to put up no parking signs because theyre constantly people parking in spots that are not designated parking spots and it blocks the pathways in and out of the parking lot. People are constantly parking along the side of the building and to the front right of the building where there are no parking spots but people park there and block the exit. Its not just customers employees do it too.

One of the employees noticed I had my three children with me as we were leaving and came out and helped load my groceries into the car while it was raining. Absolutely above and beyond! She absolutely did not have to do that but I am so thankful she did! You have my business as long as we live in this area!

I love this Food Lion. The produce section is always in great shape and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The selection of products is excellent: I can even find my favorite black olives and chocolate ice cream cones here! The store is always clean and well stocked, and the location and parking are both easily accessible. If you go in to discuss a bakery question, you leave feeling as if youd had a conversation with family. Super friendly and helpful.

This is a clean and friendly store. The produce is well stocked. Normally you dont wait in line very long at this location to checkout. Thats important to me. They dont waste my time by making me wait till my meat spoils and my ice cream melts.

Its a good neighborhood grocery store. I can usually get what I need on the way home.

Sometimes its one line only open at night . But still all the things you want and need for kitchen such as food and other household supplies are there. Open untill 10 maybe 11 Im not sure but I just left at 950 summin . Although one line was open she was kind and patient

Awesome place to shop, if you need what they have. Dont know if the Pandemic has anything to do with this, but I had a gallon of milk go bad way before expiration date, so I started buying milk in half gallon size and made sure I got it last and came straight home and put it up so it wouldnt go bad, but it did. This last time it didnt last hardly anytime, the date says May 13th, but its already. smelling soured and its only 6th of May. No more milk from them. I will go to Carlie Cs.

First I have been in retail customer service for over 10yrs and this Food Lion has No good customer service. The last past 3times I have gone to this location, they didnt have what I need out( baby milk) I ask different employees about the product. They ask their manager about going to the back to locate the item, the manager answer is no what we have out is what we have. I get very upset because I thought they are there to help you not turn you away because they are to lazy to go to the back to locate a product that is really needed​ for a customer. I will not spend my money nor my time at this location again. I will drive out of my way to another location or Walmart.

Typical Food Lion which could use come aesthetic upgrades like Ive seen in newer Food Lion stores. The staff are helpful when asked and do their job without complaining too much.
