Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I made an appointment online, received a confirmation email and a confirmation call. When I went to the appointment (about 15 minutes early), the guy at the desk says you made an appointment online? Well, Im all booked up for the day. My response was Im sorry, but I made an appointment. And he responded by asking why I am yelling at him. I turned around and left. BTW, I did not raise my voice, but did speak with annoyance in my tone because I made an appointment for the only day I am off work, and now, I have to find a new place to take my car. If they are not going to honor online appointments, do not make them an option. And, if you are going to purposely demean your customers, stop working in customer service.

Mavis always delivers! I have been to a few locations and Maple Ave is the best! Friendly staff and Damian was very accommodating and attentive while providing top notch customer service skills. He deserves an award/ raise. Thank you so much!!!

I am only leaving two stars instead of 1 because my first experience here months ago with repairing a tire which was under warranty was positive and also fast. My experience today was just poor customer service. I made an appt online for a NY state inspection days before and called to confirm and Frank told me I could not come in because of only having one guy there and 10 other cars (this was said nastily as if that was my fault). I advised I had made an appointment to which he said “so did other people”. I understand being overwhelmed but learn how to talk to people. Also — What is the point of offering online appointments if you can’t honor them? They need a better system with that & because of the unprofessionalismI will not be returning to this location despite it being close and convenient to where I am.

These guys are great. Fair prices and good service. Every time I have been there they have been able to squeeze me in. Highly recommend.

Asked them to patch a tire 10 mins before closure and they refused. Would take them 5 mins to do so because I had my wheel off already.

Make the right decision and come to this location. Mike behind the counter is friendly and honest. He even lifted the minivan up to show us the issues under the car. I would highly recommend them.

I brought my car in on Saturday morning & wasn’t able to get my car done until Sunday because of a mechanic being out sick (totally fine, was not in a rush ) they had my car as the first one to be worked on this morning & had the brakes done in a matter of 2 hours ! They kept me in the loop every step of the way and didn’t try to sell me anything other than the brakes I brought my car in for ! Great all around !

We took our four year old vehicle that was never in an accident, for a simple inspection. Rashaud incorrectly put our vehicle on the lift causing the pads to go through the floor boards, resulting in our car being TOTALED. Not only was he negligent to cause this severe damage, he rang me up as if nothing happened, as if I wouldnt notice the floor boards sticking up into the vehicle!? He was unapologetic, nor remorseful and extremely rude about the damage he did to my vehicle. Its not that bad per Rashaud. I had to file a Vehicle Incident Report through Mavis and waiting for a call back from The District Manager, Michael Boss. Another nightmare. The most unprofessional, condescending, RUDE individual that I ever dealt with. Good luck trying to resolve anything through Customer Service. They are evasive and unhelpful. They would not put us through to upper management, nor give us any contact information. After ONE month of Mavis shenanigans, they tried to low ball us on the car value forcing us to file a claim through our insurance . The most unprofessional, unethical, shady company. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE.

I get my tires and general maintenance done at Mavis of Smithtown on Maple Ave. Ask for Big Mike, the Service Manager. He will never steer you wrong and is extremely trustworthy and knowledgeable.

Do not like mavis at all sad to see STS go they are there in name only but not the staff stay away or you will find out the hard way

Honestly a great place. I went in first time so i was prepared for up sells and random things that “need “ to be done. Needed just an oil change and inspection. They were straight up with me no up sell and car was done during time they promised. Was very pleased with these guys. Couldn’t do anything better for me.

Doesnt honor appointments and manager is extremely rude and nasty!!! They have lost me as a customer!Update: Spoke to regional manager who was nice and made arrangements at another Mavis for me. The rude person was not the manager but he clearly needs to learn how to deal with the public.

What a scam. I called up and explained my car issues and they said they could look at the car for free. I go in the next day and they want to charge me $109 an hour to look at it. Then try and tell me whoever I spoke with wasnt them, and that they have a different phone number then the phone number on Google. You lost my families business.

This shop is now owned and operated by Mavis Tire. Russ and Anthony are gone but a few of the old mechanics seem to have been retained. I have been going to this shop for decades. Russ was a consummate professional and a pleasure to deal with and I spent plenty of money there repairing all of my vehicles. I am not going to go into detail but now that its under new management you better have a good handle on automotive repairs or be prepared to have your wallet seriously lightened.This time they tried to sell me over $500 worth of unnecessary repairs. I also have to wonder if I fell for it, would they have even performed the service, or just pocketed the money. Thats the kind of feeling I get from this place now. So after they earned my unconditional trust in all of that time while Russ was manager, they destroyed it all in my first visit under new ownership.Now get this... this is the best, on the bottom of their receipt it says, in bold red print: WARNING: Lug nuts/bolts must be checked and retorqued immediately after the first 25 miles of use. Please return to STS immediately after 25 miles of your service so that we can check and retorque your lug nuts/bolts.In all my years of driving I have NEVER been asked, or needed to bring my vehicle back to have lug nuts retightened. I dont exactly understand their motive behind this statement but it seems very suspicious.The bottom line is I have zero trust for this company now, and its too bad they had to ruin a good thing. Now I have to find a shop that I can trust all over again.

Just moved to the neighborhood and went here for an oil change, great and quick service!

I don’t usually write reviews anywhere but I thought I would about this place. I went there about 6-8 month ago to get my tires changed, as I’m watching them do it for some odd reason they popped my hood and decided to look in my engine bay. I didn’t know you have to look under the hood to change tires (sarcasm). Then I went back recently because I bought crappy tire caps that corroded and needed new valve stems, I went two separate times, the first time I got one valve fixed and it costed me $30, they used the old tire pressure sensor and rebuilt it, then I went back to get the other three done, but since I’m a younger man driving a bmw and went alone I guess they decided that I needed new sensors and valves costing $90 each tire, I didn’t need new sensors, they are rebuildable and I also had no codes on my dash, but since I’m 18 and driving a nice car I guess they figured why not rip me off, then when I told them to pull my car out I was given an attitude, then I went to Traction Plus in ronkonkoma, a family owned business and they fixed all three stem valves and rebuilt the sensors in about 30 mins costing me $30 each, either this place lacks the expirience to rebuild sensors or they are just trying to rip me off, anyways if I could rate this place negative stars I would. They lost my business, my friends and family’s business also.

Had a 10 AM. Appointment to replace 2 tires. Showed up on time to drop the car off. ( In fact probably 10 minutes early) Stated they would start​ working on the car in 10 minutes and call me when it was done. Not hearing from them, I called at 12 pm. Stated they would be starting soon. Called me an hour later trying to sell me some more services I didnt need. They said it would another 45 minutes before theyd be finished and would call. Around 2 PM they finally called saying they were done. 4 hours, with an appointment, to install 2 tires. Ridiculous. Plus all the upselling for all sorts of services. Buyer be ware. I they wont see me again.
