I literally tried to donate a trombone that my son barely used. So that maybe a single mother or parent who may not have the money to spend could possibly benefit from it for their child. I didnt ask for any money at all. They told me they wouldnt take it. I even said id rather give it away than to throw it away. They told me they had too many. We were just trying to be a blessing to another family.

Unfortunately I cannot give this place a million stars because I only get 5! They are family owned, a few generations, super knowledgeable, friendly, no pressure to buy, accommodating and affordable! Ive already referred 3 of my friends who all went and all bought from and had the same experience.

Dirt Cheep Music is a great independent music retailer. The service is solid and caring. The owner Aaron, is particularly good at matching the right products for the right situation.They have both new and used equipment. They can also install it.Wheelchair accessibility is possible, but its worth calling to give a heads-up.

Many thanks to John Rathbone for answering my wish for a good but inexpensive bass guitar. I needed one for recording bass tracks on some original music Ive been working on and Im loving this brand new sunburst Tagima bass with maple neck. With tax it came to slightly over $300 and that included a nice new gig bag with a guitar cable in the pocket. This bass plays great and records beautifully.Thanks also to Steven Pritchard for setting it up nicely before it was shipped out to me.Im really pleased with this purchase and will be returning online to Dirt Cheep in Smyrna for more gear whenever I need it.

Very helpful and friendly staff. I was looking for an electronic tuner - because Id been using a tuning fork since my college days - for my acoustic and one of the guys recommended one in particular and said it was what they all used. Reasonably priced and sold.They also explained their pricing scheme to me, which was very simple. Prices ending in one set of numbers meant the item was new; another set meant it was used. I looked around their store and talked with a few of the guys until they began to close.I thought their guitar selection was a bit limited, but they sell a mix of new and used guitars. I think most of the new acoustics were Washburns, which get excellent ratings on various sites and they seem to be a good value to boot. Ill play around with them when and if Im in the market for a new acoustic.

So I received a condenser mic kit for Christmas and noticed some of the pieces were missing. So I called and immediately someone picked up and after explaining the issue they were extremely helpful and overnight shipped the pieces I was missing and even sent a email to confirm and gave me the tracking number. Super nice and customer friendly will definitely buy from them more in the future!!

I bought a brand new bass about a week ago and when it came the action was really high so I brought it in for a setup. Dirt Cheep is so awesome that they didnt even charge me full price because it didnt really need much of a setup, they just lowered the action for me. Trucker here, after being tortured with 6 month old dead strings and not a single place I could find open until here. They were open and had glorious strings. The mascot is awesome too, I had planned to buy a Oscar Schmidt electric as well but as expected for being the only place open currently that their stock was down on them. However, I plan to come back later and do more business with this establishment, if not for anything but the level of customer service Aaron provided. Ill see you all again soon!

My honest opinion was that I saw the store while driving by. A few months later I decided to go in and look at guitars and see if I could afford to buy. Staff was friendly and helpful. I did end up walking out of the store with an acoustic guitar and case.Customer Service: my experience with them was ok because I had to bring guitar back for adjustments. When they took guitar out of the case the headstock fell off. I couldn’t belief it and the employee couldn’t believe it either.Long story short. I gave them receipt they spoke with manufacturer and replaced guitar within a few weeks. Staff did a perfect job in handling my issue because it could have gone south and I would be writing a purely negative comment about them. In ending, excellent store with professional helpful staff.

1st time shopper here, I needed an instrument so I went to Guitar Center cause everybody knows them. Unfortunately customer service wasnt good and since it was a woodwind instrument they couldnt answer most of my questions. I stumbled onto Dirt Cheap and not only did they have my instrument at a better value but Gabriel was more than helpful on how to take care, clean, and maintain my new purchase. So glad I found them!!!

This place was amazing everyone was so nice and so accommodating and willing to help me find exactly what I needed without trying to sell me the most expensive talk me into things that I didnt need. Steve is the guy who helped me and he was super helpful on everything even aspects of maybe even getting a trainer for my child. Visited Dirt Cheep for a band instrument for my grandson. They had everything we needed. Of course the $189 Clarinet ended up being $289, but thats because I upgraded the mouthpiece and bought the protection plan. What can I say. Its my grandson. It was really crowded and they moved people through quickly without making you feel rushed. Great place for the beginner. Very knowledgeable staff.

This Place is EPIC!!! Staff is SUPER helpful and so friendly with tons of knowledge, there prices are of the best deals I have seen anywhere in the state of Georgia. The owner Arron is an awesome guy and the guitar tech on site is one of the best I have EVER seen in the 11 years I have been in the music industry. The guitar tech did a complete setup and a special neck adjustment to accommodate a Full-step down tuning with heavy gauge strings on my custom Taylor guitar all in no time and did an absolute fantastic job for an incredibly low price! They also carry great quality beginner level guitars at really affordable prices for anyone who might want to start to learn.Im not really sure how the store keeps the bills paid there because their prices are really that low. I mean a full set of in store Dirt Cheap Guitar strings are around $5 at the time I went in there.... Thats Pretty incredible!I seriously could not be happier, and If I need work done on any of my guitars I will no take them anywhere else, they are so worth the long drive for me. A++

Drove down from Nashville to take a look at a Fender Stratocaster they had for sale- brought some stuff to trade for it. I dealt with Mark and Aldo, great guys. They were very fair with my trade and I walked out with a sweet Strat.A plus experience - cant go wrong here.

Their name says it all. I bought a new trombone from there for my son who was starting in the band. He was very proud of it and took very care of it, but within weeks, a joint came apart and we had to get it soldered back together. Not long after that, it broke again and we had to pay to get it fixed. Also the slide never seemed to work well and always makes noise and doesnt glide well no matter how much we clean or grease it. Weve also had that looked at a couple of times, but it keeps getting worse.After all the trouble we had with it, I asked someone in the store about it and he told me it was just a cheap trombone. Funny they never mentioned that or how much trouble we would have with it when we bought it.I thought we would save money over time by buying our own instrument instead of renting, but after this experience I wish we had rented. Consider how many problems and additional costs you might have if youre in the same situation. Or maybe try a different store with better quality instruments.

The most brutally HONEST place Ive ever purchased from. Ive been shopping here since 2011 and Ive never been displeased. Everyone there is knowledgeable and doesnt try to upsell equipment for a quick dollar. Mark especially makes every shopping experience worth it. Ive purchased 2 microphones, interfaces, studio reflection filters for acoustics, mic cables, mic stands, pop filters, and etc. ALL LASTING PURCHASES!!!
