I really enjoyed learning with Lance and found him to be very easy to work with. He gears his lessons to your skill level and what YOU want to accomplish, not what he wants you to learn. The “homework” he gives you will be as easy or complex as you want it. I play with friends that are much better than me and they offer to teach me some things. They usually end up jamming showing how good they are and not helping me at all. Lance is obviously an excellent player but doesn’t waste your time showing how good he is. He is always encouraging you along and is always very patient. He comes highly recommended from me.

My son has been taking lessons from Lance for over a year now. When he started playing guitar he could hardly string 2 cords together, now not only can he play full songs but he can teach himself new songs as well. He used to get very frustrated when trying to practice or learn something new, now he is confident and will play for hours without even being asked. They developed a friendship and he always has fun at his lessons. Lance is super accommodating and has reworked our schedule multiple times. My 13-year old daughter had a 15-minute trial lesson with Lance Allen today. It went great! In the first few minutes Lance corrected --with positive encouragement-- a few issues shes had and she was playing much cleaner right away. She enjoyed the lesson and learned a chorus in that short time. It was a very positive experience!

I started taking lessons from Lance about seven or eight years ago, back before he started his own business. He gave me some of the most valuable tools that I still use today! His way of teaching is thorough, yet brief. In other words, he can give you a lifetime of information in less than an hour. Not to mention, hes a very nice guy! The cost of his lessons are relatively low compared to lessons of other musicians of his calabre as well.

You would think that having a guitar lesson on Skype would be terrible, but its actually really good. Not only is it just like being in the same room its extremely convenient.
