I love this place. It is clean and has a huge selection. If the employees were friendlier i would say this could be the Publix of the north. The staff is a bit rude and no one is overly helpful. The last star is for lack of top notch customer service.

Its misleading to say that the Stop and Shop in Somerset opens at 6:00 a.m. when it doesnt restock most departments until a few hours later. There was almost no meat or chicken on the shelves and nobody in the prep area at 7:45 this morning. The seafood counter didnt even have its lights on. Other sections were better, but only because there were more items remaining from the night before.

I love this stop and shop. They always have good prices, store is always neat. Everytime that I have shopped here I never waited in a long line. There is handi cap parking available, as well as bathrooms. And the associates are always nice which is a bonus to the store .

Pricier than other Stop and Shops that Ive been to. Could be pricing has gone up on most goods and supplies. There was an employee doing stock in 1 of the aisles and you could barely make it by his cart. It might be a small grip but you have elderly, disabled and able body people who shouldnt have to maneuver around obstacles. Its not an obstacle course dude!

I want to commend and thank Tracy who works in the floral department. I was looking for specific white roses and leaves and she opened 2 brand new boxes to try to find them for me. I went to shoprite, all i got was a no! This will be my go to for floral and all else. She was so kind, i hope she is recognized for going above and beyond!!

2 days ago, I went to the Stop and Shop Easton Ave in Somerset and bought this cheese. At home, I noticed that it was totally moldy. Strangely enough, the date hasnt even expired. It must have been lying around somewhere. That shouldnt really happen.

Very clean at all times. Product is always reasonably priced. The right amount of registers to get checked out quickly. Staff used to be more friendly, but it seems to the sign of the times.

Marica in the florist department is a true artist! She did a fantastic job arranging 2 dozen roses for Valentines Day. Thanks Marica!! Note the picture - vase was not included, but the arrangement is exactly how she did it. My wife was thrilled!!

Its not a huge Stop & Shop but Ive always been able to find everything Ive needed. Their fried chicken is amazing as long as you get there earlier than dinner time because then itll be under a heat lamp that destroys it.The produce, meat, bakery, deli all seem very clean by appearance. The store is maintained nicely as well. Great workers!!! The only thing it doesnt have is a donation area for animals and strays in our area. I literally live 2 minutes away so its super convenient for us too. But we do have a shelter nearby that does take donations.

Pind pads steal your money. Customer service is no help. 3 other customers charged, forced to leave groceries, no refund given, no rain check given, no solution. Dont use your debit card here.

Greatest grocery store in my heart. Coming here after dinner is really a great relief in these years. I would move to a place with no Stop and Shop later this year. I would definitely miss this store.

I would not recommend Stop and Shop on Easton Ave. The produce is terrible, the cashiers are rude, and the robot follows me around the store EVERY visit. I’m not a thief but if I were, I would not steal from that dirty Stop and Shop.

Was having an awesome morning until illy husband and I were being checked out at register 13 this morning by a woman named Kathy. She was very rude, did not bother to even say hello. Then she needed to scan the water so she pointed to the scanner that was close to me so I went to hand it to her assuming that’s what she was pointing at it for then yelled at me saying I was going to break it or rip it out. All she needed to do was explain nicely that she was going to come over to grab it but instead decided to just point at it and be nasty and rude about it when we didn’t understand what she wanted. I work in retail and understand having a bad day but it’s 10 am and there’s no excuse for just being flat out rude to customers.

The customer service have a very very rude and unprofessional girl called Liz she is so so rude..attention please..

I was just at this store. I have a medical condition and actually got a lung infection from wearing a mask. Its unhealthy breathing in your own exhaled breath. Plants need that to make oxygen. I was told they will not abide by the medical exemption in the executive order. This is discrimination because of a medical condition. Its like rolling someone in a wheelchair out!! American with disabilities act doesnt allow this. I go late so its not as crowded and try staying as far away as I can from everyone and I shop as fast as possible. I actually called another store and it is not corporate policy to act this way. Shame on them and I will be pursuing action against this store

Clean supermarket, very friendly and helpful staff - as friendly as anyone can be with masks on, working with the public during a pandemic.Prices appear to have shot up since the pandemic began: I dont get near as many, nor as deep discounts using my Stop & Shop card as I did before the pandemic started.Note that I stated prices went up by virtue of there are less discounts available thru my stop & shop card verses a year ago.Not a dig, just stating my personal experience.As I said, the staff is great - and I will always support the local businesses that remain.Supermarkets, grocery stores, are right up there with hospitals, Fire, EMS, and Police- we would be lost (starving) without you.And lets not forget about TP too!

While the store is very convenient to get to and has some items I really like, I cant buy meat from here any more. Consistently my wife and I have to throw meat out that we buy from this store because its already gone bad. Last two weeks Ive bought pork and chicken and its been bad even though the sell-by date is a week away. Shame.

I go to Stop & Shop at least four times a week and most of the time I go by the seafood department to get crab legs. Majority of the time when I go to see food there is no one there and I end up waiting for over five minutes just to be seen by someone. Another issue that I noticed was that they keep the good fresh potatoes and other items in the back. There were times where I had to ask an employee to bring out more because of how rotten potatoes looked. That would be my only issues with this store because over all it is great.

I was pleasantly surprised to see lots of sales. Im staying with my mother while she recovers from knee replacement. I stopped in the store to get a few items. I was about to get food for visitors without breaking the bank. To make it even nicer there was an assortment of beautiful roses, 6 for $5. That really made the table special.Beside the great prices, the shelves were well stocked and I found everything I wanted. The store was neat and the aisles clear. The checkout experience was a good one. Ill go to Stop & Shop more often.

Self check out works really well. A real time saver. Signs at either end of each aisle identify different items. If youre standing at one end of an aisle and want to know all the categories of items it contains, you need binoculars to read the sign at the other end. You need to be very familiar with the store layout to know where everything is.

A great place to shop. Super clean too. Customer Service gals are friendly and can help customers with all questions. Checkers are super efficient and fast yet friendly.

Its a great place to work and shop. The produce is usually nice and fresh. Its always so clean and the managers keep up with cleaning. It has very nice varieties of organic foods. You might even find things that can rarely be found any place else.

The prices are competitive and the quality of the fresh meat, produce, and deli meat are nearly always fresher than any of their competitors. While the selection may vary from store to store, the Easton Avenue location has proven, by far, to be the most consistent in their quality. The only addition that I would like to see is for them to put in a Starbucks like the one on South Highway 27 in Franklin Park. Alyssa is always a pleasure to see there. Even when she is stressed or feeling out of sorts, she always has a smile.

This is our preferred grocery, although as time goes on weve noticed even before the Covid-19 shortages that fewer and fewer of our favorite specialty items (and a few regular ones) are being stocked and weve been forced to go to other stores or even Amazon.com to get them. On the other hand, as of August 1, 2020 they seem to have mostly recovered from the Covid shortages of the Spring. One massive plus in their favor is their international foods aisle, where I can get the makings for Yakisoba, General Tsos Chicken, shepherds pie and burritos all at once, and top it all off with Jaffa Cakes and cassava bread.

Customer Service is Good. Peapod is a good system and has good service too.

Good variety and quick checkouts. Everything is easy to find and the staff is friendly when asking questions. The product scanning app makes shopping quick and efficient. Only issue I had was when ordering my deli order someone grabbed my order when it was called. Not the stores fault though. Its our weekly shopping staple.

Decent supermarket to purchase groceries. Theres plenty of parking. Usually found that the store is not very crowded or busy. Produce could be better quality, and the selection of yogurt is very limited. Prices are a little high, but some savings can be found fron time to time. Fuel savings can be beneficial if you do a lot of shopping.

Its an ok market. The sales are never that great the meat dept. Is below average. The fruits and veggies are fresh very fresh. Shelves are stock all the time but compared to other large supermarkets in the area the prices are never great nor are the sales. I only go their when I need something fast

This is my favorite supermarket.I always find everything I need and on my last visit I happened to find Brazilian cheese bread! This won my heart for good.

The site constantly sells expired food I have constantly picked up expired food. Store opens at 6am but no store manager until 8am. Sometimes only 1 person at the service desk and that person has to service the cashier if they need assist When Im not rushing I usually have to stand in the aisle looking for a product that has not expired. Last week I returned food that had mold on it. Im done. This place doesnt care.

This is my regular stop for groceries. I like it because they carry a lot of organic and non-GMO brands, the aisles are well-lit and spacious, and I know my way around. I have been told the prices are higher than other grocery chains. However, I earn gas rewards as a loyal customer, and they mail me coupons customized to my buying habits. I am happy to stay loyal.

It really is a nice place to stop and shop. All the sections are well organized. The best part is the shop isnt so crowded so, wont have to wait in the cashier queue for long. Overall a nice place to do GROCERY shopping.

OUTDATED SEAFOOD PILED ON TOP OF OTHER OUTDATED SEAFOOD. THIS IS CONTAMINATION WAITING TO HAPPEN. WHOLE SALMON ON ICE FOR OVER A WEEK. ABSORBENT PADS AROUND ALL REFRIGERATION UNITS AS WELL AS PUDDLES AND DRIPS AMONGST THE ENTIRE AREA. DIRTY PAPER TOWELS SOAKING UP SPILLS IN PLAIN VIEW. WORST OF ALL IS THAT THE SUPPOSED NEW SEAFOOD MANAGER WAS NOT APOLOGETIC. QUITE THE CONTRARY. JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THIS STORE, ALTHOUGH PRICEY, WAS TAKING A TURN UPWARD, THEY MAKE ONE STEP FORWARD AND TAKE TWO STEPS BACK. GO TO ALDI. THIS STORE SHOULD SHUT DOWN FOR A WEEK, GET RID OF THE ROBOT, AND FIX THEIR SERIOUS ISSUES REGARDING MANAGEMENT, SPILLS, LEAKS, DIRTY FLOORS, AND EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS. I PERSONALLY HAVE WITNESSED TWO CUSTOMERS FALL AND NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION DUE TO SPILLS OR WET FLOORS.

I just left the store. The smell is just unbearable. In a past it was smelly only by fish department but today the second you walk in you want to throw up. Seriously! I went there for usual shopping and got only veggies and drinks I couldn’t force myself to buy meat there. I usually buy everything there since I live right next to the store. But no thank you. I will make a trip to shop rite all the way to Elizabeth ave for meat and cold cuts. I am switching to Shop rite. Too bad because it will be extra hour for me but it is disgusting there!!!

I like this Stop & Shop better than the one in Franklin Park. The store seems bigger, there is a better variety of fruits and veggies that are not either rock hard or past their prime. There were more manned check outs open here. The store is bright and clean, the carts are actually easy to get out of the stacked line, and the cart basket is free of debris.

This was a surprise to me for the variety of things they did and didnt have. Perhaps because it was just before Thanksgiving. The vegetables were fresh and in good supply. They didnt have buttermilk which I needed for one of my cakes. Surprised at that. They also had a limited supply of the type of hard candy that I like.

Because of 2 reasons i go to this place....first its close to my house and second one is when I need something urgent and quickly otherwise its not worth going to this place to buy stuff especially produce as this place usually do not carry fresh produce and the list of organic produce is very small and pricey.To me this place feels like a cheap grocery supermarket but with big prices. But the good thing is they do have a pharmacy store there which is kind of a plus for both prescription &/or non-prescription medications.So, I dont want to recommend anyone unless there is any emergency and someone either needs a prescription fill up or something ordinary like milk or eggs or such. But be careful to check the expiration date whatever you buy from here.

I have been to this store Many times...we get fresh fruits here...usually I would take banana and grapes ....we also get Many bakery items here..for parties I would always go to take soda and chips...staff is very nice and polite...this makes me to visit this place often...they have huge parking lot and in that complex we see many other shops and restaurants..I am not in NJ now..but if I visited near by will definitely stop and shop :-)

I had an absolutely wonderful experience shopping at this store. They had a wide variety of quality products. Happy to say I will be shopping here for the things I want and cant get in my town.

Tony in the seafood department is terrific, a very nice and knowledgeable guy. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. He selected some beautiful and delicious sockeye salmon and cod for us. He was what made our shopping experience 5 stars.

The store has an organic section that has grown. Hopefully, the management of the company has been watching the news and read that Monsanto lost the Roundup lawsuit to a lymphoma patient. That should be a big eye opener to any grocer to consider going full certified organic and perhaps demand that food be tested to show no glyphosate residue.

I shop there regularly. Always have what I want or need. People talk prices, but when you think about it, the gas spent to save pennies adds up.

Plenty of parking. The store is nice and clean. Keep an eye out for expiration dates though. Have had a couple of issues here.

Prices are more higher compared to Walmart and Shoprite, but you can find anything you need.

Good fresh rolls for hamburgers and my niece even con me into buying cupcakes for dessert.
