There is a lot to love about Burlington Bagel Bakery. Our family has enjoyed ordering from here for literally decades.Honestly, the bagels are very good but not excellent. Everything else? Love it.The staff may make mistakes every once in a while but this place is generally very well staffed, they work really hard, and almost all of them seem to really care about running a great shop. It shows when you get in a massive weekend line only to be out the door with your food as if the place only had a trickle of customers.Their ingredients are high quality. The baked goods are some of my favorite from anywhere, particularly their muffins. While not at the level of your favorite cafe, their espresso drinks are great and well priced.There is only one thing I dont like about Burlington Bagel Bakery: there is no way to order online.

The Rosemary olive oil bagel was so delicious and it was very nice to have a vegan cream cheese option.

The staff was very rude. They didn’t want to be there and they made sure each customer knew it. The coffee was served very messy and I watched over and over as it spilled on each person that ordered it. To top it all off when we finally opened the bag of food we got someone else’s order and not the food we wanted. Great way to start the day. We won’t be going back.

Stop by on my way up route 7, not a good move.The girl handed me the bagels with no napkins or any help as to where I can get the napkins.Taste? None whatsoever. I swear, it was as eating compressed sawdust.Even being toasted with butter, the sesame seed bagel sucked and the Montreal bagel, not sure what that was. Two bites and in the trash. Stick to bagels from Greenpoint Brooklyn.

I do prefer their bagels to every other place in town but recently they stopped making their own hummus, which was the entire reason I went there, and now use a cheap pre made industrial hummus. I’m so sad. I used to even buy the hummus separately. It had chick peas and black beans and was amazing. The new hummus is the stuff you could buy at any grocery store but a bit worse. I understand why they made this decision thinking it is cheaper this way and not an important input in the business, but I disagree. I won’t be returning since I’m not really a bagel person but the hummus was good enough to get me in there :)

I had an egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagel itself wasnt bad, but I wasnt blown away. Additionally, the egg was overcooked. All in all, I much prefer Myers (I know different kind of bagel).

I felt judged by the group of girls in there and i stood there for a while when no one was behind me & also i asked for a multigrain bagel and they gave me an everything bagel. I can not have poppy seed and i get a rash. Which i noticed when i got home and I had to throw my 7$ bagel in the trash. I asked online where a good places in the area are and this was one. I was not satisfied 🥺

This place has the best bagels on the planet. I drive 40 minutes out when I am craving a bagel because its the only place worth it. Id give 5 stars, but in the last 2 weeks Ive drove out there 3 times now to find the place closed for cleaning. I find it hard to believe they need to shut down this often for cleaning, especially when their business closes at 3 and they could easily do it after hours. My assumption is they are struggling with staffing. Either way, its getting really frustrating and I might stop trying to do business there.

My sandwich was very dry and had absolutely no flavor to it😭. It literally tasted like I was eating air.

Fresh, great tasting bagels made daily. Tons of choices at a reasonable price. Few choices of daily soups (favorite broccoli cheddar) and small selection of baked goods and sweets. Carrot cake is a must!

While they were constantly out of the jalapeno everything bagel they have a lot of options. The bagels are soft and delicious and reasonably priced. They also offer sandwiches, I really enjoyed the BLT on cheddar jalapeno bagel. There is usually a line here but you are not waiting excessively long. Lastly I was not a fan of the coffee and I tried two different flavors. It also seems they have a little difficulty keeping the carafes refilled.

I live in Colchester, so dont come here often, but always a treat when I do. My go to is the New Yorker on Poppyseed Bagel sandwich or Poppyseed Bagel with Olive cream cheese. Even though today was Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it was busy, think I was in and out in less than 15 minutes on the way to work. Excellent menu, friendly & efficient staff!

They have the best bagels in the area. Love their Vermont Country bagel. Would have posted 5 stars but when we tried to do curbside pick up, they took our order and payment, told us to call when we arrived and they would bring out the order, but then were too busy to bring out the order. We tried to call multiple times but finally had to go in to get our order. Then had to wait in line anyway to get the order. They tried to get us to pay again because they had not marked our order as paid. It took a while, but finally got everything sorted out.

Didnt know what I was getting into when we stopped there, took the advice of the girl making me a bagel sandwich, very pleasantly surprised!!!

We tried 5 different bagel places during our visit to Burlington. This was definitely our favorite! I tried the jalapeno cheddar, it was out of this world!! Not too spicy, very cheesy, and still warm from the oven. We are sick over our decision to try another place instead of going back here on our last day !! Coffee was also fantastic!

We went to Burlington Bagel twice on our last trip to the area. The bagels are soft and easy to eat not chewy. The toppings are fresh, delicious and filling. The staff is friendly and efficient.

At first I only came here for a bagel until I was told they could make Espressos. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ill be coming here more often :).

I got the triple B sandwich and it was very good! Ive never had hash browns in a breakfast sandwich before, and I highly recommend. I also really liked that out front they had day old bags of bagels and treats for a discounted price. Its really nice that they dont want their bagels go to waste!

While the bagels are always great here, I went today with Covid occurring. Masks are now required in Vermont public places. They had signs that said masks required yet their workers kept pulling down their masks while making the food/ drinks and what seemed to be the manager didn’t even have it covered over her nose. Definitely not safe during these times, can’t even properly follow their own rules!

I am from Boston and I say we make a mighty fine bagel......but this little hidden gem makes one heck of a good bagel. Was not home sick....

Beware. Called in order and was promised curbside delivery. When I arrived I was asked to come in and pick up order inside. No special arrangement for pick up. I had to wait in the line with people buying in store. The lay out is the worst for social distancing in an indoor environment. The staff are all working at the counter a few feet away with out any screening. I realize Vermont is relatively low risk at the moment but this may not continue. With up to 14 days incubation period we will not know if Covid comes back until it is too late. We need to be striving to be as careful as possible, especially people who are high risk or live with those who are. In this case curbside delivery would be best, but at least a dedicated pick up area, outside if possible.

Really love Burlington Bagel Bakery. The best bagels in Burlington. They have two locations, but I prefer their Shelburne Rd. location because they have parking. Usually very busy, but they make your bagel very quick and you wont be waiting long. So tasty!

The flavors in this place are bold. Had an almond milk latte. Very stout, I kinda like my coffee strong so it was enjoyable. If you dont, make sure your sweetener is in it. Even a simple ham, egg, and cheese bagel tastes complex. More seating than I expected. Steady stream of customers, friendly staff. Wheelchair accessible.

We ordered a bagel with cream cheese, and two bagel sandwiches. We loved the bagels, and the bagel with cream cheese was perfectly made. The sandwiches both tasted good, and the veggies, meat, and cheese are all fresh. Our one issue is that the sandwiches were hastily made- one half of each sandwich had 4x as much meat on one half than the other half because of the way it was folded. The result was a 2 layer side and an 8 layer side, which was fine but I prefer it to be at least slightly more even than that. Overall good food and friendly staff!

BEST bagels in town.

Not too impressed. First off the phone service was rude and the guy taking our order hung up on us. I Got an egg sandwich (Triple B) and asked for no chipotle mayo. My bagel ended up having a lot of chipotle mayo, which made it not enjoyable to eat since I don’t like spicy food. I ate it anyway and once I got to the middle of the bagel, the inside of the egg (egg white) was gooey and runny. Won’t be ordering this again.

We are not from this area. The bagels are are the best I have had in a long time. I had the everything bagel with cream cheese. My husband has the New Yorker. Both were delicious. Light and crispy. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is a bagel lover.

Ive tried all the local bagel shops and this one is by far the best. The bagels are all delicious and they have a wide variety of bagel flavors and cream cheese flavors!

Cheddar dill bagels. That is all.Just kidding, theres more. The sandwiches are great, the service surprisingly efficient, the prices reasonable and the staff friendly. Im not saying this is a five star restaurant, but it is a five star bagel place.These bagels are more Long Island than Montreal, for those who know the difference, but theyre 100% delicious.

BEST IN VT! This is the best bagel place I have found in VT. Between the kind people at the counter (Rebecca and all the great people) and scrumptious treats, you cant go wrong. The fantastic bagels, yummy soup, giant muffins, perfect chai, local kombucha, smoothies and fresh fruit, make it difficult to pick your favorite treat. I personally recommend their maple latte, but I prefer it with a single shot of espresso. Yum!

Best bagel Ive ever had. Hands down. Asiago red pepper dark toasted with artichoke cream cheese is my favorite. I live 3 hours away and make it a point to go in every time Im even remotely in the area. Im not sure why NYC feels the need to claim stewardship of The Perfect Bagel ... Ive never had one there that even comes close to the texture that these guys manage.

Everything made to order on spot. Bagels are always fresh daily. There are prepared sandwiches and veggie packages for those grabbing a lunch snack. Coffee is pay-per-pour, so be aware. Dine in or take out. Lines move quickly! Highly recommended!

Place is grease smokey in the cafe. like the kitchen smoke got out of hand. you could visably see smoke inside. the bagels are compact, nice crispy outside, fresh, and expensive. $15 and change for a dozen, a cream cheese and a warm coffee. you have to self serve from a pump thermos. I dont like that, when I buy a coffee out, I want it hot. nothing special here.

They had interesting bagel flavors and super friendly and helpful staff. Very efficient. I personally thought their bagels were very dense and closed textured making them very chewy. I prefer less dense but the flavors of the bagels were all very good.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the cream cheese was tasty - but thats where my enjoyment stopped.I ordered the Catamount sandwich (egg, pepper jack, spinach & avocado) on a multigrain bagel. I enjoy heat, but this cheese was overly spicy, and it was the only actual flavor in this very bland sandwich. The bagel was like a hockey puck - small, dry and lacking flavor.The half-dozen, overpriced bagels I got were also dry and hard, though they were supposedly made that day. (Thank God I didnt buy the day-old ones!)My mom, who has run 2 successful bagel shops, said it was clear that your bagels are made once per day, and not continually baked fresh, as they should be, to retain moisture.I can empathize with the reality of tough economic times, but youre sacrificing freshness and quality in the process.I came in seeking to fulfill my craving for a crunchy-yet-soft, satisfying bagel - and left with only disappointment, and $25 less in my wallet.
