We love absolutely everything about this bakery ! Cakes already made to order and they make take home meals, They also have pie crusts and croissants and chocolate croissants that you can take n bake at home. They have lattice espressos and coffee iced or hot.... They also have breakfast sandwiches they also have hand pies they pretty much have it all......
Very cute bakery where you would not expect to find it. The prices are elevated, but once you taste the treats youll know its worth it. This is the lightest cream raspberry shortcake Ive ever had. You dont need large portions, the flavor experience can be enough. Some cute Halloween options too!
I just finished a delicious breakfast from mirabelles and couldn’t write this review fast enough. I haven’t been since it moved off of church street and was so happy to see that it was busy when I pulled up, they have a great thing going! I had a ham and cheese croissant warmed up that had so much flavor inside and out, along with a raspberry donut that was rolled in raspberry sugar and filled with what tasted like raspberry soft serve ice cream. It was AMAZING! A full coffee bar and so many pre made things, definitely a good thing to keep in mind for future gatherings. Such a good spot!
Wow!! The pastries are incredible I’d highly recommend the cinnamon roll. The breakfast sandwiches are HUGE. Delicious, but I couldn’t finish it. The coffee was kind of meh, but not the main appeal here.
Always consistently awesome pastries, cakes, pies etc. Try their crème brûlée. Its off the charts good!
Excellent coffee and both sweet and savory pastries. They have a little outdoor space and a few counter seats inside. Anything you get here is delicious.
Very polite and informative staff that made some great drink and pastry suggestions as I passed through after a flight. Phenomenal bakery selection, presentation, and exceptionally well made. The Chai Latte was a great takeaway as well. If youre either passing through, or have this near your commute everyday, not stopping in this little breakfast/lunch joint during the trip would be a mistake!
One of the best places for pastries I’ve ever eaten at.
We’ve ordered several cakes from Mirabelles in the past for various events and have always been pleased! We decided to order three cakes from them for our wedding: the Coconut/lime, 3-Layer Chocolate and chocolate Mouse! They were a huge hit, everyone loved all three cakes! Thank you so much!!!
The baked goods are consistently fresh and delicious. We also love their frozen croissants.
My favorite bakery to satisfy my sugar addiction. Ordered online and have picked up. Staff are helpful and friendly. I got a pyramid cake for my kids birthday and loved it. The creme brûlée cake is awesome, the top tastes a bit burnt (typical for the dessert inspiration) but the cake and cream are amazingly light and fluffy. And I love the chocolate mice. I got the pig cookies. The icing had a distinct flavor I wasn’t expecting so next time I was there I opted for simple sugar cookies, yum. My next trip I’ll try the macaroons. Yes there’s a line at certain times but it’s worth the wait. My kids will wait patient in the car knowing they’ll get dessert.
Delicious food. And the staff was accommodating to try to help with specific tastes (I asked for a minor change or two).
Really nice breakfast spot in Burlington. The place was fairly crowded, so I would recommend reservations if youre going at a popular time or have a large group. The food took a bit long, probably because of how busy the kitchen was, but everything tasted great! They also have a decent beer selection, considering their specialty is breakfast.
Oh man, where do I begin?! Their creme brulee cake is amazing and all of their pasties are so wonderful. Definitely stop by and enjoy a treat!
The menu here is pretty simple but the execution is phenomenal.Omelet was done perfectly, the ingredients distributed equally and cooked just right. The eggs were just the right amount of runny on the inside. And a good sized portion. The pancake I had was a basic buttermilk but tasted exactly how I had hoped it would. Super fluffy and pairs wonderfully, of course, with the complimentary Vermont Maple Syrup.I travel a lot for work and this has been one of my favorite breakfast experiences so far! Exceptional coffee too!
Fantastic bakery in Burlington. I had the egg biscuit, Jamaican hand pie, and little cinnamon twirls and everything was delicious. They naturally run out of items because of the high demand so you should be there early to get exactly what you want. At the end, it won’t matter because you will love anything you buy here. Highly recommended!
First of all, there is absolutely wonderful service every time Im lucky enough to come here! The staff is all friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The treats are crazy delicious and there is such a wide and ever changing selection. I look forward to every trip that I get to take here; it is truly a five star experience, every time.
Mirabelles can do no wrong. My cheat day is Tuesday morning after work. Everything they make is divine. I get myself a dessert and the family a dinner--chicken pie, or tortiere, or soups.... This week, I bought a veggie lasagna. O.M.G! It is one of the best that I have had. Thank you for existing, Mirabelles. :-)
This used to be a wonderful business. Since the move to South Burlington Ive noticed several changes: 1) Almost everything they make is being made noticeably smaller, yet the prices have remained the same. 2) Some favorites have just gone missing altogether. 3) Special order items always need to have the messages double-checked for spelling/accent mistakes. 3) The phone seems to be left unattended in the afternoons. Despite leaving a call-back number, no one ever does call back.Theres never a shortage of Oh Im sorry and Ill send it back to make it right. But what about just getting it right the first time? I also dont need the attitude that comes with you having to fix your mistakes.Today was the last straw when you folks bungled yet another birthday cake (or rather didnt make it at all). After over two decades of patronage, Im done. The only reason you get two stars is because Ive consumed more pain au chocolate (please stop calling them chocolate croissants. Theyre not crescent shaped) in France than I care to admit, and yours are actually the best. Cest la vie...
The breakfast sandwiches are very good. It is not quantity but quality. The croissant breakfast sandwich is very filling and delicious. The cinnamon rolls are the best I have ever had. A friend brought over the Keylime pie for dessert last nite and it was just the best with shavings of white chocolate on the generous portion of whipped cream topping. I guess you can tell I just love the place!
Ive been to Mirabelles before, and have enjoyed their cakes we have brought into work for parties. They have always been the BEST of any bakery in Burlington.Today, I spotted the Paris Brest fine pastry. Last month in DC, these became my latest favorite. Mirabelles did not disappoint! A hazelnut and chocolate filling combo on the fresh crust, just the right size...Im in heaven!
This review is only for the counter service. We got two cafe au Lait, a maple scone, and a cheese danish. The small sized coffee was actually quite large, creamy and delicious. Pastries tasted as good as they looked. This place gets a little crowded and they don’t really have seating for those just wanting a coffee and pastry. Luckily we were able to sit at the bar by the window but were told by multiple staff members that we would be asked to leave if another party came in. Maybe plan on taking these items to go if you aren’t doing a full service brunch.
Mirabelles moved to Williston Rd and I was afraid they had closed. I found them the other morning and ohhhhh what a treat it was!! They are just simply the best. Everything they make is top quality and delicious. Their staff is helpful and friendly. I wish that they had dine-in like they used to in Burlington but still cant take away a star for that. I hope they thrive at their new location. Not only are their desserts the best, their breakfast sandwich was tasty, and their Chicken Pie that I took home to bake impressed the whole house--and they are difficult to please. Please show this local business lots of love during this tough time.
We ate here for brunch and everything we had was fantastic. We both ordered the same: Breakfast #2, which is 2 eggs, bacon (or sausage), hash browns, and french toast (or pancakes) for $12. It was the perfect size for brunch to tide us over until dinner. Service was great, the atmosphere was lively and busy even at 11 am, and we would definitely go back if given the chance!
We Love Mirabelles! Everything is Amazing! A must try! #buylocal
Well priced and great tasting espresso drinks, and always something new in the pastry case thats worth trying. Im a big fan of their hand pies (well priced for a quick bite) and their sandwiches (not as cheap, but ready-made so no waiting, and always delicious).
Mirabelles has been a familiar name for a long time around Burlington. I’ve come and gone from the area several times and whenever I’ve returned, Mirabelles has never failed to offer delicious, well made food. Recently I’ve rediscovered them and.....WOW! I have my favorites (apple gallette, ham & cheese croissant, eclair, meat pies) but what impresses me the most is how consistently excellent their pastries are. The bake is always perfect. I’m so pleased to have them as a local place I will always rerun to. Thank you!!
A real bakery! Macarons, tarts, creme brulee, ganached cakes, croissants—all delicate and lovely. Everything is decadent and fatty... just how baked goods are meant to be. 😚 Some of the flavors are mild to my palette, but the textures are spot-on. High class joint theyve got. V professional.
Perfect every time with the exception of their coffee drinks, which tend to be watered down/flavorless. But the baked goods make up for that shortcoming. My favorite bakery in VT.
Great selection of delicious pastries.
Tried for the first time today and it was amazing, youll love the fresh pastry and everything else they have to offer, will definitely be going back
This was my first time in the new location. It is exactly like the old location was before they added the cafe seating. I know I will be back!
The key lime coconut cake is outstanding!
Excellent sandwich on croissant.
Everything they do here is superb. The pastries, the pies, the savory hand pies, the frozen pot pies. I cannot day enough about the quality of the flavors, the ingredients, and the talent that goes into everything. Anytime I am near this part of town, I stop here.
The food is wonderful and the staff is super friendly
Best baked goods weve had in some time and in our all time top 3. Great service too. Dont change a thing.
Service was prompt and cordial. Food was first rate.
Really nice bakery with a huge variety of sweet pastries. I got broccoli leek quiche here, wow!
Never had a bad experience!! Everything is delicious!! It used to be my #1 stop when I went to Burlington but so happy that they are closer and more convenient to me so I can go there more often.
This was a recommended breakfast spot on a business trip. Open seating and a simple but solid menu made it easy to order and the service was good. I got the steel cut oats with berry compote. SOOO delicious when I added just a touch of honey. The maple bacon was very good also. Didnt get to try any of the pastries but they all looked amazing!
Amazing baked goods! I just wish their location was more convenient.
I called in a pickup order for 3 reubens for my coworkers and I today and boy was I impressed. Everyone looked happy and was friendly, the store was clean and had proper signage to keep masks on and stay distanced, the food was fantastic. I dont think ive had a better reuben! I hope this company is doing well as a whole and keeps their employees happy, you are definitely doing something right! -Matt
Great food, great service, great value!
All the pastries look fantastic. You definitely wanna try them all when you enter. I had a fantastic biscuit. The pancakes were smooth and tasty. The breakfast burrito is a delight. I also had a toasted brioche sandwich which was excellent and fulfilling. The look of the various sandwiches is great, and if you are not hungry, you will definitely be when you will get your plate in front of you. Also, the waitresses were extremely nice. Superb place.
Great desserts
Amazing pastries, you cannot go wrong here. You can come every week and tried for more than half of the year something different without repeat and plus they have something different every day. They al have the best galette de roi in town and maybe in all Vermont!, perfect for the Epiphany celebration on January 5th.
Great place plenty of selection. Crazy bummed that they are moving so no more table service. Hopefully youll still be able to carry out their food because the French toast is amazing!
Oh these cute little Tiramisu cups! Probably the best ones I have had till date. They melt in your mouth and are perfect to quench sweet tooth cravings. Not too sweet, yet delectable. Other recommendations would be Lemon Bar, Crème Brulé, Chocolate cake (I dont recall the exact name right now but it has flaky texture on top, will update the name soon). Another one which was recommended by their staff is Opera which is good but not at par with the ones mentioned above.
My favorite place! And Im super happy now that theyre closer. I live in Williston, just 5 min away from Williston road where theyre located.
Excellent Service! Great bakery!
The pimento breakfast sandwich was incredibly tasty and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend!
Due to the pandemic I have not been able to go see my family or home in France. This morning my husband brought me here and got me just a basic pain au chocolat. I had my eyes closed as I ate it. In all my time I’ve never had one that truly tasted like the ones from the Boulangerie across from my grandmas house. Thankyou Mirabelles for bringing a little bit of home to me on this cold morning.
Delicious frozen crescants to cook at home
Good coffee, great chocolate croissant. Ill be back for the apple pie.
Weve enjoyed Mirabelles for years in their old location. I picked up breakfast sandwiches several times since they moved to their new location and they never disappoint! Recently, during the stay at home period when theyve been operating with a contactless pick up, we ordered a custom cake to celebrate our anniversary. We asked for cinnamon buttercream (since thats what we had on our wedding cake), they let me know they havent done that before but were willing to accommodate our request. The cake was absolutely wonderful!! Thank you for helping us celebrate during this stay at home period!
This establishment is truly amazing, not just the delicious treats, but the staff too!Always a pleasure ordering a few guilty snacks and a delicious hot beverage to wash it down.I wish them the best of luck in their new location!
Best Cakes in Burlington.
I was so disappointed to go to Mirebelles new location and discover that the HANDICAP ACCESS RAMP is all the way down at the other end of the building !!! So basically you have to park in the front of the building and then walk all the way to the other end of the bldg. This is not accessible for someone who has trouble walking and uses a walker to get around !!! I am so disappointed.......was all set to place a LARGE order for the holiday week end.......but instead went to a bakery that CONSIDERS HANDICAP PEOPLE VALUABLE CUSTOMERS and makes it easy for us to get into the bldg.
Excellent french patisserie.
Easy to get to and parking is free. You dont have to contend with the craziness of downtown Burlington to sample their amazing pastries and cakes. The staff is always friendly. Its just that good.
Key lime pie is great
The breakfast here is phenomenal. Solid classics along with great stretches, like a popover breakfast with lox. Dont miss out on the bakery items - one of the specials was a coconut lemon scone. So good!
Delicious cinnamon rolls and apple fritters. Many more yummies yet to try! Also very friendly staff.
Great pastries
Great bakery. Lovely, decadent choices.
Great pastries and coffee. Need more GF products
Delicious! Lovely bakery 😋 Mirabelles is what you expect from a bakery.
Never had a bite of their baked goods that wasnt luscious
Delicious pastries and great breakfast sandwiches
Great food, great service! We had breakfast, then of course bought yummy pastries to bring home. We parked in a metered space which allowed cc or coins, we even got change from Mirabelles. Great customer service.
The new spot is so easy and convenient to access, parking is so convenient for a quick stop and the food and friendly staff are always amazing
Consistently amazing pastries, cakes and cookies. And then there’s the upscale ‘ring ding’! They also sell pastry dough! That alone is worth the trip.
OMG, get here!! Ive had family here for almost 10 years and just now visited this bakery. The strawberry rhubarb coffee cake is to die for!
We decided to have pie at our wedding in lieu of the traditional cake and chose Mirabelles for their wide selection and exceptional pies. We ordered 24 pies of varying types and each one was delicious. Some guests had five or more slices - a testament to how delicious they were. Alison is a true pie master and takes incredible care in her craft and you can taste it in every bite. The crusts were perfect and fillings exceptional. We even went there for lunch a couple days after our reception and ordered another pie! If you love pie, then Mirabelles is your place either for a slice or 24 whole pies.
Wonderful baked goods, wish they had more GF options & seating (I have only visited the downtown one)
Have been there many times in the last 9 years. I guess I should share what I like. The breakfast is always good. The menu is not super special but just matches my appetite. I like their omelette. Many bakeries are very good too, particularly creme brulee cake, spectacular in my opinion.
Best macaroons in town! Actually best desserts PERIOD. Chocolate cake is amazing as well. Nice chilled environment for lunch or breakfast with a menu with simple yet well executed options.
Decent lunch food. A little cramped in the seating area. I would have enjoyed my stay a little more if there wasnt a child running recklessly around while her mom gossiped with her girlfriends. Otherwise the food was good. Portion sizes were large. Prices were good for a lunch menu.
Great local French pastry shop right around the corner from Church Street. Nice seating area with street view. Pastry and dessert selection is excellent. Also, morning croissants are amazing. They do cakes -- ordering ahead is recommended. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
The creme brulee cake is absolutely amazing!
The best cinnamon bun Ive ever had came from this bakery. This place is always busy, for good reason. A food hot spot with incredible baked goods as well as more traditional breakfast fare. Go!
One of my favorite places to eat. I didnt care for what I ordered today, first time i got a meal I didnt care for, but I will go back, they aretoo good to let one bad meal stop me. Try them you wont be disappointed.
Great breakfast in downtown Burlington! Whether just from their bakery section, or a sit-down breakfast this is always wonderful. Lunches are good too, but Im a sucker for a good breakfast out. Their Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Cake is amazing.
They have a fine selection of pastries, cakes, and chocolate treats. They have good coffee and they also serve sandwiches. Including breakfast sandwiches. Wonderful place. Try their creme brulee cake... Amazing.
One of my all time favorite bakeries! Their cakes and pastries are amazing. Highly recommend.
Friendly service, amazing pastries, and excellent breakfast. It does get crowded like every other breakfast place around, but come on the early side and you wont be disappointed. (The place is not large- you could get a pastry to go through). The chocolate croissant was divine. The frittata I had came with toast and potatoes; I chose baguette as my toast but there are other options (I might go with that next time, toasted baguette is delicious but kind of hard!) I love how low key this place is. One of our favorites.
Amazing homemade chicken soup from scratch. Have some and feel like home.
