We purchased an entire home theatre from Best Buy the projector we purchased broke immediately and they did replace however shortly after we continued to have connection issues with the wiring we had done through Geek Squad. The projector broke again just a few months outside of our waranty and they would do nothing. They had my husband take down the projector bring it in and then told him their hands were tied and there was nothing they could do. There are much better companies out there who stand behind their products and services.

Staff was pretty helpful, specially the person that helped us with purchasing the phone. It did take a while to get to us (like 20 min) since they were already taking care of other clients, but other than that the service was great. They answered all my questions and made sure we left satisfied with what we purchased.

Purchased stove from best buy, and also had it installed by best buy.. within a few hours after install we smelled gas! After having Nicor gas company out to investigate they found the freshly installed stove was leaking all because the HACKS that best buy sub contracts NEVER secured pipe properly with wrench 🔧! They rushed the entire process of installation, were not polite about showing us how to operate, and when in came to securing the gas line to the new stove hand tight is NOT good enough! If the hacks you employ do not have proper traing and or knowledge of proper instruction and or installation procedures, than they should not be messing around with peoples gas lines period! Best buy is lucky this is just another angry review and not a big law suit! But with a bunch of hacks handling installations, its just a matter of time! WARNING ⚠️ HAVE SOMEONE ELSE INSTALL IT IF YOU PURCHASE FROM HERE DO NOT TRUST BEST BUY!!!!!! You will be hearing from my attorney

I bought a $1500 laptop and a 2 year warranty. 6 months after the warranty expired my charging port stopped working. I was really disappointed that no one found that to be wrong. The repair they quoted me was over $800 plus $30 to look at it. I’ll go to the Apple site in the future. To tell a customer the nearly $2000 they spent on an item means an $800 repair as soon as the warranty is expired is wrong. Never again

Amazing service. There was a gentleman at the front door directing everyone where to go if they had questions, where to go for what they were looking for, and answering a multitude of questions..all while working the computer to add customers to a queue so workers could find them on the floor to help him. He was extremely nice to literally every single person who walked through the door, although he was wearing a mask, I could tell he had a huge smile to greet everyone. Honestly I just wanted to give 5 stars to that guy working the computer and front door today. He was so hard working and it made it look easy, when I’m betting it was quite the opposite. He was amazing and my the overall experience so pleasant!!

Went in to buy a 55 inch TV. Wow did they have a lot to choice from. Ended up going with the LG 55SM8600PUA model after spending days researching what TV was best for sports. This model has advanced motion detail. I also bought a Sanus advanced full motion TV wall mount. Model BMF320-B1. The TV was 599.99 and the wall mount was 149.99

I will start by saying the store & staff are wonderful!!My bad experience is due to having to be transferred to a central number for assistance & not being able to speak to the store directly.Made a Geek Squad appt for a phone battery replacement - gave the girl my phone info - take time out to go to the appointment - they dont do battery changes on my phone. Had to find somewhere else, waste time. Furious!!But on a high note, now I have a new place for all my electronics repairs.

I suspect they are going out of business as they no longer answer phone calls and dont seem to care about much of anything anymore. I couldnt get them to help me with my car audio and had to go to Schaumburg for help. I called them today and got sent to a switchboard then sent to waiting... Then hung up on. One of the best experiences Ive ever had was that the store not that the store was at this store anyways since voice texting never gets anything right I just like to say that the experience I had in the aisle where the printer inks were was excellent because the treatment that I received was above and beyond at finding the right kind of lubricants for the machine as it reciprocated where it needed to be lubricated they were purely able to give me enough information that I was able to get the lubrication that was needed for the machines application thank you have a great day you should shop here

Best buy is the great place to go for getting laptops, TV, accessories, and getting your computer fix with the geek squad. With the Pandemic... we need to be more sensitive with the customers needs. Remember.... thats where you get your paycheck from. YOUR CUSTOMERS . Without your customers your store wouldnt be open for business. The supervisors and management need to train their staff to be more efficient, caring, knowledgeable. Customers remembered how theyre treated well and also how they are badly treated. BEST BUY.... Fidget spinning manager lies. I saw this promo on their shelf. I tried to purchase a cx650m.First I was told the promo had not begun, I referenced the dates and that the promo had begun the day before. Next I was told that the promo stated that it was off the was price of $69.99. The shelf price was currently $59.99. I was fine with the deduction off the was price. Next I was told that the cx650m was not part of the cxm series so it did not qualify, I pointed out that the box had cxm series printed on it and the promo had a picture of the cx650m on it.Finally, despite having the promo in her hand, she needed to go check promos. Eventually she had someone else tell me that they couldnt sell me the power supply because it wasnt regular price. Uh, yes they could have. Its an over ride. I left feeling very uncomfortable having all these excuses thrown at me for what should have been a simple transaction.I visited another best buy store a couple days later and inquired about the promo. The associate had no problem stating the promo was mis-typed.Why couldnt the manager at the South Elgin Best buy be this honest? I speculate she neglected to check her messages, was unaware of the pricing mistake for the 40 hours it was up, she chose the win win for her. 1, she wouldnt have to justify why she discounted the item so heavily and 2, wouldnt have to explain why she didnt know that she was supposed to remove the promo sign. All at the cost of losing a loyal customer.

I went to look at fridges and sent my son to get someone because I wanted to buy the fridge but no one showed up. So I returned later with my husband and again we had to hunt down someone for service. We decided to buy the fridge and then they told me I would have to wait a month for delivery so I told them no and left. Ended up going and buying at Home Depot. Guy was working right in the appliances section so we checked out quick and a 2 week delivery.

By far the worst Best Buy location to shop at.. I spent 2 hours waiting for my order yesterday. Employees kept coming by and saying they will look for it in the warehouse however those same faces never came back - They either all forgot to look or lied that they would. After wasting an afternoon, the manager told me they dont know where my order is and I should drive an hour away to go pick it up from a different store. Just terrible, too much to type. Wouldnt go back to that location.

Due to Corona, alot of safety measures have to be ensured in order to keep both the customer and employee safe and this Best Buy does a great job at enforcing these rules and keeping the store clean! I went in today to buy a Microsoft Surface Laptop and my experience was smooth. The employees were friendly and were following the usual rules for this pandemic like wear a mask and remain 6 ft apart. They even knew Spanish for my father. They answered all my questions and I received my laptop pretty quickly after asking for it! Im going to have to come back to buy a TV later on.

Went to take my laptop in to see if they could try to relieve my data from. It. Half hour later and they still havent had the hard drive out. I got aggravated rescheduled. It was hot. They wouldnt let me leave it there. The thing is broken . Then I found out it will cost 100 dollars to install my info on new one. When I called they said it would be free. They wanted me to buy something that would me 200 the first year I guess insurance. Will try to get a new laptop and than try this again.

Service is hit or miss. went in for a phone issue which was handled but found out the original geek guy didnt know what they were doing leaving on a factory installed screen saver instead of removing it berore installing my $45 guaranteed one. I signed up for the Best Buy VISA Card to get the 12 month financing plan on a purchase of over $700. After the purchase, I ask the guy if the 10% coupon can be applied towards my 12 month financing plan. He confirmed with the other employee who was near us and he said that they would be able to apply it. They said that I definitely can as soon as I get the 10% off coupon. I remember this vividly and even took the sheet that shows that I would receive a 10% off coupon with me. I didn’t receive the card/coupon until over a month after the purchase.I decided to call Best Buy to get my 10% off towards my financing applied as promised. I spoke to a sales manager and she basically kept saying that she has very well trained employees and she was doubting that what I had told her was true. She said she can’t do anything about it now and she won’t be able to apply the coupon. She seemed very defensive. I kept explaining to her that I simply was expecting 10% towards my plan as I was told. She ended up not being much help and so I asked her for corporates number. She couldn’t provide it and basically sent me to go find it myself online.I’m currently on hold with corporate/credit card customer service for over an hour now. Not too happy, but I do appreciate the associate who helped me out he seemed like a good guy.

My order was delayed. I was then given THREE DIFFERENT DAYS TO COME IN AND PICK UP THE ORDER BY EMPLOYEES. I was told yet again today that it should be arriving today. After calling corporate, I was told that I have to wait until the 24th. Nobody actually knows where my order is or when it’s arriving, the system didn’t update me on my order status until a day after it was delayed, nobody has the UPS shipping number, nobody can give me any answers. I ordered this PC on the 4th. Edit: I’ve also spent over two hours total on hold even trying to get in contact with a real person about my order.

Over the course of one day I attempted four separate and spaced times to reach someone on the phone. Phone system channels you to hold where you are left. No one ever picked up until the last call after a 26 minute wait (thank goodness for speaker phone) explained what I wanted....put me on hold, then hung. They really do not seem to care at all.

Update: the installation finally happened. Andre was professional and did a great job. He took the time to explain all the features and show me that everything works as expected. Also, Alisa at the original store of purchase listened to all my feedback, refunded an appropriate amount of my purchase, and gave me her card so I could contact her if anything else went wrong. Updating to 3 stars.Original post: What a nightmare this has been! I went in last month to buy a car stereo and schedule an installation. This is the closest store to me. They dont do car stereos there, thats fine, but I was able to schedule an appointment through them for another location. Most of the locations near me were at least a months wait, but the store in Skokie, IL had an appointment in early January. I accepted the date, bought all of the equipment (which was shipped to my house), and thought everything was OK. I show up a bit early to my appointment (5 PM on a Saturday) only to find out that the employee from this location had not only not sold me all the parts I needed, but had not scheduled a long enough appointment. The installer was not going to be able to put in my stereo that day, despite me driving an hour to this location. (If I had gotten any calls, as the multiple emails said I would, this probably could have been addressed earlier). So now I had to find another time slot (3 hours) to get this done. I made another appointment and left after buying the final piece of equipment I needed. Today (1 day before the 2nd appointment) I find out that the technician that scheduled me for my appointment at Skokie did not actually look at the schedule. They wont have an installer at Skokie at the time of the appointment I was told I would get to keep. So now I am forced to wait another week and make yet a 3rd appointment. Add to that the fact that I waited on hold to discuss this with a manager for 45 minutes, got bounced to a phone hub in Champaign, IL and told I would have to go into the store or call back. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with Best Buy.

Pedro Aguilera did a great job applying the screen protectors on my phones screens and he also helped me locate a USB-C cable i was looking to buy. Great service and friendly employees.

The mobile department were never on the same page with one another so I kept getting contradicting advice/help regarding my jetpack wifi activation. After many attempts and wayyyy too many hours, I come home and my 12 year old son was able to connect the wifi device instantly!

Tried to get help fixing my sons game counsel over the phone with geek squad and was basically told (not to bring in so they can check to see what was wrong with it but to ) buy a new one because i am going to spend hundreds of dollars on a repairs alone and its just cheaper to get a new one. i then asked if i should try cleaning it out if they thought it would help? he just followed along sounding bored and just waiting to hang up. this was the worst experience in customer service i have had at there store. not going there for help.

My past experience with Best Buy has been very good. However, today was pretty frustrating. I was trying to buy a couple of computers for a local non-profit. I presented the tax exempt form on my phone (like I do almost everywhere else), and the customer service representative told me he needed a printed copy. I asked if I could email it to him and print there in the store. He acted like I was an idiot. And said there was no way to print it. I said — there’s literally one hundred printers in this building. And you need a paper copy, not a digital copy. Let’s make it a paper copy by printing it. I would like to spend a couple hundred dollars here today. But he told me I would have to go back to work to print it. I think I’ll just order them online. Perhaps I’m being irrational, but it seems like this was something that could have been a simple fix.
