Every time I try to pick up my prescription, I sit in the drive-thru for 20 minutes while maybe 1 car is in front of me. No exaggeration. Service needs to be improved.
I’ll admit, this Walgreens has excellent inventory. But, let me get one thing clear, the customer service at this location is honestly ridiculous at best. Rude associates, refunding purchases to RANDOM CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS (yeah, that ACTUALLY happened😳🤬), and to top it off, I get incredibly dirty stares and looks here. Very unwelcoming. Will not be coming back to this one👎🏻
Cashier is never nicer not even a little. I stop in nearly daily and shes always in a really bad mood.Even just saying hello can go a really long way in customer service.
Customer service at the pharmacy was cold and unhelpful. Walked in for a Covid shot and was refused even when the sign IN FRONT of them clearly said they take walk-ins. They had all appointments open when checking online 30 mins prior, but I never booked it because I wasnt sure if Id make it within a certain window. I dont understand why theyd refuse that when they clearly advertise otherwise and had times available. Just unprofessional and also super slow service.
The pharmacy phone system is inexcusably tortuous.
I am trying to order online and Walgreens always cancel my stuff and I am trying to contact costumer service and i was waiting for more then 30 min and no one can help. I want to cancel the rest of my order because it is not complete and I don’t want it, but costumer service and store are not able to pickup phones. Really bad costumer service and really bad experience with the online orders.
The pharmacy at this location is always incredibly slow. The staff is not trained to answer basic questions, and they are not inclined to be helpful to customers. After going to Walgreens for years for my prescriptions, my experience at this location made me transfer completely.
Doesnt do Western Union pickups over $10. What???
Fast and friendly staff
Been coming here for 4 years. Regardless of the day of week or time of day, the pharmacy moves at a snail’s pace for both drive thru and inside. Do not understand why they don’t hire more people. One person at the counter at 5:30 pm is not enough. Be prepared to wait at least 20 min.
As for myself, I personally have never gotten a prescription filled there. However, my mom recently in the hospital: trying to get her one script filled. Somehow they tried to convince me the insuranceWould not be filled till the 6th?! ( then i went to larkin ave/ they said wait one script is here and the other one is ready for pickup at south elgin?! That was on the 3rd!! ) they lied.
The most incompetent slow place there is. That this company is allowed unto provide COVID shots is very concerning. This location does not even have a manager on site ( answer from the person in the pharmacy section). Endless wait in drive through incredibly unfriendly and un-educated staff.Check your prescription to make sure you get the correct medicine and count the content. My advise go to Jewel, CVS or anyone else in the area but not that 3 rd world outfit.
Above and beyond service! The store manager Cindy went out of her way to help me so I didn’t have to bring my sleeping baby and 2 yr old into below freezing weather. Thank you!
Typical corporate site clean stocked
What is it with this location and hiring people??? Every time I come in here it’s a 15 minute wait to checkout. The pharmacy is the slowest in the Midwest. Don’t ever go through the drive through, you’ll be there at least an hour because they have one person working all day. Absolutely amazing how they manage to stay in business.
Do not go here expecting to see employees wearing masks...unless wearing them UNDER the chin is correct. NOT! I stopped iat this Walgreens to pick up items for my 87 yr old mother. When I entered I saw the two employees chatting loudly about 2 feet apart...both wearing their masks under their chin. I quickly grabbed what I needed and noticed the 2 employees move to a different aisle...still talking, still masks under a chin. At the same time, ironically the announcement that shoppers AND employees must wear masks came over loud speaker. When I approached the register - employee Ryan came to assist and I had to ask him to pull his mask up. This is entirely IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR and in a medical related store no less. I will avoid this Walgreens location and encourage you to do the same.
These people are amazing! I have a stomach issue and needed over the counter medication and luckily they were open over Christmas. It means a lot to me on such a special day. Thank you so much and merry Christmas!
Worth Walgreens pharmacy on earth. Dropped perscription off at 11 and they said meds would be ready at 12. Came back at 2:15. Still not done. These people do nothing all day.
Horrible customer service
Pharmacist’s Assistant refused to sell me Claritin-D. Besides a botched Walgreens computer system, -how Walgreens could let this flawed & illogical human divvy out drugs to the People of the Western burbs is beyond human understanding. According to her: If there are 10 pills in a pack & one purchases (2) packs, -one must suffer allergies for the remaining 10 days of the month.Solution: Go the extra mile South to CVS and buy them there. A 20-pack (12-hour) is actually about $5 cheaper.
I usually don’t rate places unless I like them, because I prefer to focus on the positives in life. After repeated screwups by the pharmacy on my blood pressure medication, they now get my first “1star”. I like Walgreens, but this one has some serious re-training to consider. Lucky for me there is one every 3 miles around here so I will not being going back to this location unless it’s an emergency. If you’ve read this post, I hope you have an amazing day!
If i could give 0 stars, I would. I will NEVER go back to another Walgreens, EVER. Every location is horrible. This one, in S. Elgin is THE WORST. I have had to wait in long lines because mgrs want to sit and gossip, late 2x going back from lunch. TODAY I had to leave my items and go. As i waited 3rd in line, a lady mgr decided it was time to tell a new cashier that the current customer should be rung at the beauty counter and voided her items, the next lady had alcohol and cigarettes so the lady mgr had to ring all the items while first lady and i waited still. Line building.... guy manager finally goes to another register, Im finally next in line when he opens, but dude behind me and guy behind him jump to that lane without regard to who wad actually next. Lady in front of me doesnt believe shes not paying for first ladys items and alls ri stay jet transaction over entirely. I get advised by guy manager to go to beauty. I do and there are 2 others in line, go back to front and now BOTH those lines are backed up. I set my things down saying i cant play these games now, i have to return to work ....
Getting a prescription filled here is a nightmare. The location is understaffed for the volume they get, so I cant blame them. I think Walgreen corporate needs to expand the pharmacy at this location to service customers on a timely basis.
I was at this location a week ago purchasing a bottle of Titos vodka. The cashier was very sweet (as always everytime I visit this location) but was having trouble getting the security cap off. She was very hesitant to call the manager over for assistance. Once she did, I could see why. The manager that came over to assist her was extremely rude! Rolling her eyes, grabbing the bottle out of her hand, and even making a comment about it not being that difficult to do. As someone in management and customer service, I could not believe how she was treating an employee and in front of other customers to top it off. I can only imagine that employee must have been completely embarrassed. I think this location needs some management and customer service training. The employee however was very kind and professional and she always is everytime Ive been in this store. 5 stars to her!
Amy was very helpful and professional! Shes why Ill continously shop at that location.
Awfully slow pharmacy. Will definitely be going across the road to Jewel.
The pharmacy is a joke. Over an hour after we left the dr (who digitally sent 2rx over) they werent ready. Then the pharmacist verified my daughters weight for a med then said they needed to call the dr. And Id have to leave and come back later. I said just give me the med and Ill figure it out (Im an RN) very frustrating.
I tried picking up my prescription via drive thru as soon as the prescription was filled and sat behind 2 cars for 20 minutes. Since there was no progress, I left the drive thru line and tried again inside but the line was 5 people deep. Since I had a crying infant, it was a huge frustration that we would be waiting so long. I’ll need to come back again.
Went in to grab a few small groceries and noticed some foods were way over expiration date. Didnt trust to buy anything from this store so i just had to leave sadly.
2 days in a row waited 15 and 20 minutes in line for my prescription
Its a usual high quality Walgreens.
Very poor service move my PR to some where else
