This is a great hot topic with lots of choices and selection. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful here. We enjoy going here on a regular basis. Located in The Maine Mall near the food court.

Typical Hot Topic. They are also another recommended store to visit because they are not fear mongering. They are upfront about requiring masks as they are optional but they are not trying to intimidate people by stating that it is a law that if you violate you will be prosecuted. If youre in the mall check out Hot Topic. Lots of great items and thank you for not helping spread the fear.

This store gets a bad re for being dark and goth-like but while it is dark (litterally) this store is super fun and full of novelty items from Harry Potter supernatural etc!

The cashier was awesome and fun. Very nice. Stock is about what youd expect from Hot Topic. Fair amount of stuff considering the limited space. Definitely worth a visit.

Its a dying place

Me and my friend were accused of stealing when she was just putting money in her pocket. Even when she pulled her money out to show the lady who was accusing us of stealing, they didn’t believe us so we threw the shirts we wanted down on the counter and left. There is a low chance I’ll be going back to this store:))

Love this store a little pricey but good quality stuff so its worth it.

Surprisingly good service, but the jewelry display was a mess, and the earrings I bought broke before I could even put them on. Sadly all sales are final due to Covid. Also, small store so only 5 people allowed at a time. Long wait to get in.

I absolutely love this store from the clothes to all the other eccentricities they offer and theyre constantly changing their selection of products. If you like theme based products and goth or mystical items this is the place to go. Only complaint is the Maine Mall store is small and has less of a selection. I tend to have better luck @ the Hot Topic in Manchester, NH.

I have no words to express how much I love Hot Topic! The employees are super helpful and respectful and will take the time to listen to the costumer. My mom doesnt really let me buy stuff in here because its too emo, but honestly, when I enter Hot Topic, I feel accepted, and Im surrounded by people who understand the way I feel and who like the things I like. Overall, Hot Topic is a welcoming place for everyone, no matter your sexual orientation, gender, or age. I would recommend stopping by.

Literally the best store in existence. The staff are incredibly nice, the store is clean and everything is reasonably priced. (They even carry some of my favorite merch, thats definitely a plus)

There is so much stuff, you can barely make it through the store. With that in mind, if you can get in the store and you like dark humor, alternative, punk, or metal music, Tim Burton, Adult Swim cartoons, and have a body piercing or two, then this store may have what youre looking for. Pricing is a little rough, but the employees are cool, the merchandise is appealing, and the in store music is fitting to the environment.

Cant stand the south Portland location. I order a pair of boots online know where does it say on any of the paperwork that if you return it in the store and they dont carry it that you only get half back instead the paperwork says wed be glad to accept it in the local retail store it is absolute bull that I drove all the way there to find out I was only getting half back unless I mailed it back Im not happy with this company whatsoever and the store will be definitely getting a phone call or two from me today

Fun and funky clothing

Hot topic is becoming harder and harder to move around in. Ive not gotten any bigger, they are just packing so much stuff in their stores. which I guess is not a bad thing for the consumer.

Well they turn their stock around faster then a 6 year old flossing (for all you future people, that is a dance that is popular right now) at full tilt so they stay true to their name. Plus the older i get the more retro the things i like become and i can get that their too. My only two gripes are that this stores location is a little on the small/cramped side and that the prices are not forgiving. Which leads back around to problem one.

Neat store, lots of items for adults and some for the kids but Im not sure I would bring the really little ones in the store as some adult items are carried like adult toys, gag gifts and party favors.Decent prices and tons of mall parking.
