Broke the arm clean off my glasses, came in the next day and Ifran was able to help me very quickly. Could tell what frames I had, knew where they were, and I got a new case. Im happy.
Very helpful. Quick and easy we were very happy with our decision and the process was made simple by the associate. Thank you!
Wanda and staff are fantastic. Always honest and wanting you to look fabulous! This is our 3rd pair of glasses bought at LenCrafters in the MaineMall and we can’t recommend this place enough.
It is always a pleasure to be back at Lenscrafters. I have always bought my prescription glasses and sunglasses there for more than twenty years now. The customer service and guarantee on the glasses are top notch. The store manager Ms. Lucretia at the South Portland, MAINE MALL location was exemplary in customer services. Thank you for running a top notch facility.
Veronica, Lucretia and Wanda were awesome!!! My daughter got awesome frames and it was so easy.
My favorite place to get eyewear! Veronica is exceptionally helpful and I trust her judgment when I ask if a particular frame looks good on me. This is particulary helpful when it comes to wearing masks and shopping alone in this era of COVID19.
Amazing experience today at Lens Crafters. All staff very welcoming and helped our daughter feel comfortable with trying on pairs of glasses and given suggestions to what ones that fit her face the best.
It was great that they opened by 8:30 a.m. On Saturdays. I was able to get in and back out quickly. Great, professional service!
Everything was amazing!! The manager took the time to get me exactly what I wanted. He was great. The associates working were very attentive to the customer and watched them take care of a 5 year old with a difficult prescription. They made it fun for the little girl and put a nervous mom at ease
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of different eyewear options to choose from. Great experience and would highly recommend.
Would recommend! Nice selection and fast, helpful service. Lucretia was great!
Very helpful, kind and worked hard at assuring all our needs were met!
We’ve used LensCrafters in another state and had a great experience so I figured I’d use the one here. The weekday afternoon staff are insanely slow. When I came in during morning hours to order my frames, I picked them out, sat down, and was out less than 10 minutes after sitting down to order them.Went to pick up my glasses today and there was a gentleman standing looking rather irritated when I walked in and about 10 minutes into my waiting, he walked out. I waited another 15 minutes and still received no help. The man working kept getting up with a woman to help her pick out different frames and the woman was just taking her time with another customer.Either this location needs to hire more staff for the evenings or get their employees some additional training so that they can be more efficient. Spending 25 minutes helping someone pick out frames when 2 people are standing waiting to pick up and then subsequently walked out is not good service. I even left work early to get here before they closed!Recommend using Zenni or really anywhere locally but here.
The staff were extremely friendly and there was no pressure to buy. Lucretia, Irfan and Veronica all had important input on my decision and their knowledge made me feel good about my choice. I will definitely return.
Great service at this optical store. I have purchased glasses and prescription sunglasses and both times received the highest quality service. Staff was friendly, helpful, and got my order placed right away. Will definitely visit this store again next time I need glasses.
I have purchased my eye glasses from LensCrafters for many years. Have always been pleased with their customer service. Staff are very polite and answer any questions you might have. Love the quick turn a round how quick your glasses are ready for pick up.
Loved working with Lucretia here. She was incredibly sweet. The store was very clean and organized with a ton of selection from each designer. I had a new and unusual vision carrier but she triple checked everything under my plan to be sure we understood what the insurance would cover. All lenses were cleaned thoroughly and quickly after I tried them on. My glasses were ready the next business day!
Veronica at the South Portland store was very professional, efficient and helped me quickly pick good options for glasses frames. Because I have a petite face, I had to pick children’s frames and I had wished there were more options... yet it all worked out. Veronica was helpful sorting out the discount, insurance and helped me use a AAA discount on a second pair. She also was fast and helpful to adjust sunglasses that I purchased there a while back. I ordered the glasses on a Sunday evening around 6pm. Got a text the next day and had my glasses by Monday 5pm.
Excellent service, informed and efficient
Friendly, fast, quality. Top notch all the way around.
The store manager could not have been more helpful in fitting me with my glasses!
I have been a customer at the Maine Mall location for years and I have had a pretty good customer experience. I recently purchased lenses and an expensive pair of frames over $300. My first new perscription was flawed so I had to return the glasses with a new perscription. On my second trip back, an Optician worked with me. He was rude and obviously put out that he had to replace my lenses. I never had a fitting for my frames and when I complained that they were crooked, he said I should have looked in the mirror earlier, that was my job. When he spoke, his hands and arms were flailing. I responded that a fitting is his job not mine. He yelled and threw his hands at my face telling me to leave the store three times! He said I was rude. He started to bend the frames and I asked him not to break them. His face was in my face at this point, yelling if they get broken he would replace them. A Manager came by to ask what was wrong. He kept ranting on until she told him that was enough! The Manager told me she would take care of it, whatever that means. I have read reviews about similar customer experiences with rude associates but this one tops the cake! This man is out of his element, has a bad temper, poor communication skills and very poor customer service skills. This all makes for a very poor customer experience no matter how good the efforts are by other store associates so I must give a low rating to this store.
Quick and easy
Was only there to get replacement lenses - staff (Irfan) was very helpful. I never looked at inventory so not in a good space to comment on that
Great service and very helpful staff.
Very pleasant woman who waited on me.-very professional and helpful
Came in today with a pair of glasses purchased at a different Lens Crafters. The man who assisted us was rude and dismissive. First, they could not find us in their system. When I asked why that might be, he replied, I dont know. You tell me.Seriously?Having exclusively shopped for glasses at Lens Crafters, I know that they cant do anything new without a current prescription--but the salesmans demeanor was so off putting that we went somewhere else inside the same mall, had a quick eye exam at the optometrist next to their storefront, and were able to replace the glasses in less than an hour.
Michael was great at helping me locate my eyemed insurance, selecting the best frames for my face as well as being friendly. He made sure I was getting the best deal for the items I ordered, as well as explaining the different features/ and perks of each product.
Right lens goes blurry when I just barely look off center. Technician claims this is normal, even though my old prescription is actually better than this one. Also, there are two circles on each lens, with the letters SLA under them. Its as if the lenses were not completed.
Very pleased with the service and reasonable cost.
The incompetence in this store is absolutely astounding. I purchased a very expensive pair of frames and lenses back in November and had to wait a week for them to be finished. When I received them, the prescription didnt feel right so I went back. Turns out the pd was measured incorrectly- by the store manager nonetheless. So an optician remeasured and ordered another pair of lenses for me. When those came in another week later, they realized that they ordered the wrong frames to go with it.It was a completely different size AND color than the frame I originally purchased and these new lenses only fit in the new, incorrect frame. So to make this right, they had to order the correct frame for these new lenses in the color I originally wanted. What a pain.Fast forward another few weeks until today when I go in to pick up the frames. Should have a been as simple as popping my lenses out and into the right frame, but no. A new employee put my frames in the heater too long then bent the arm so far inward that the wire broke through the side of the rubber! I was completely shocked. She quickly tried to hide what she had done and blamed it on a manufacturing defect, when I CLEARLY just saw her break the arm!It doesnt even stop here. Entirely fed up with this store, I asked them to just take my lenses out of the broken frame (that they were going to send me home with) and put them into the old ones that were the wrong color. This simple task wasnt even done properly. I get to my car and take my glasses out and see that the lenses werent even put in all the way and were popped out on the side! Unbelievable at this point I had to walk back in and the store manager greets me with a very rude hello AGAIN and I show her the lenses hanging out of my frames and she disappears with them for 10 minutes.I left there as quickly as I could. I plan on taking this matter to someone higher as I am so disgusted by the service and the lack of respect I received here. I could hear them talking about me in the back, they were so rude to my face, and for what? Im not the one who made these mistakes with my glasses! I paid over $800 for them and waited 2 months and they STILL arent right!! Incompetence doesnt even begin to describe this store.Take your business somewhere else if you care about your time, your money and your vision.
Helpful and quick, but needs a sign in process so you dont have to fight for attention.
Had a perfectly fine experience here. Brought an existing rx, I wasn’t happy with the first lens I received and was able to bring my glasses back and upgrade to a better lens without hassle.
I ordered a pair of glasses here just over a month ago. The first pair had a scratched lens. It was replaced under the 30 day satisfaction policy. Second set of lenses(they only replace them in pairs)arrive; both lenses have light scratches about the width of a finger nail. Today I picked up my third pair of lenses, and stupidly didnt check them at the store. These have a deep fingernail width scratch on the inside of one lens. They did a poor job cleaning all of the replacement lenses, which hid the scratches when initially wearing them. I was previously told that since my 30 day limit was nearly up, Im basically stuck with my 3rd pair of lenses even if they had issues when I received them. These were Scratch resistant lenses. Go somewhere that actually inspects your lenses prior to sending you out the door
Employees, service and wait time has eyemart beat....hands down!
Good selection and fast turn around. Service has always been good too except today. Our sons glasses broke and went to get new pair. The woman who helped us was very nice and getting the new pair took only 15 minutes except the woman who helped us and adjusted them when we went back was very rude.
Very Bad! My mother went there two days ago to get her new lens done. By the time she got her new lens, she was having a hard time seeing it because it was too blurry. Instead of them helping her out, they sent her home with that new blurry lens. The next day she went to an optimistic in one of the hospital near our house and we found out that lenscraft did messed up her prescription. And the associates there were not friendly at all, what a bad Customer service . Will never go back there again. Not Worth paying $400 for a bad service.
I needed new glasses that would not slide down my nose every time I place a face mask on due to the virus.
The amount of customer service I was shown today by the absolute gentleman with the oh so fancy mustache was outstanding. Bravo sir made my year. Customer for life
Got new lenses for my son - prices were CRAZY compared to elsewhere. Then I looked for frames for myself. They kept telling me those dont come in that size, etc. Go online and yes they do. They just dont want to order them. Clearly, love what we have or go away.
Went in to this lenscrafters with a coupon and disposable income. Left with both and no glasses because the only person on the floor was too busy flirting with a non-employee/customer. Lets hope she gets a date because she sure as heck missed out on a sale for that conversation.
Quick and easy .40% Off on second pair . Great staff . Kate was very helpful and easy to work with .
I have been a loyal customer of LensCrafters for over 22 years. I have been disappointed the last three times I’ve purchased glasses from them. I should have stopped going and picked another establishment after the first time, but I just thought it was a fluke, but after tonight, I will never be going back. Most recently, a nose piece broke off of frames that I’ve only had for two years. 30 days after I purchased them, I noticed that a nose piece was bending back and I had to readjust it a lot, so I brought them in and the tech looked at them and said they were fine. I did purchase the one-year warranty at the time of purchase, and he insisted that the bending was normal and I wasn’t eligible for a new pair. The bending nose piece continued and I brought them back again after three months, after six months, and at the one year mark, still the same response. I asked what I would need to do to use the actual warranty I purchased, and this time the woman salesperson told me that the glasses we need to actually be broken. Looking back, I should’ve just broken them myself so that I would have been eligible for a new pair. Fast forward to last week, the nose piece finally broke because I had a readjusted it so many times. I brought my glasses to LensCrafters and I was able to order a replacement pair for $103 with my AAA discount. Or so I thought. It was the beginning of the month, so after spending that unexpected amount, I moved forward with paying bills. After living with headaches for almost a week because of the missing nose piece and my glasses are off-balance, I received a call six days later stating that the frames actually were discontinued. I asked for a refund, they said I had to come to the store to do it because they couldn’t do it over the phone. I drove 45 minutes again just to get reimbursed. I asked what my options were, the sales associate put my lenses in another frame and try to pass them off is fine, but there were gaps between the lines in the frame. I work in an active job, those never would have lasted. I’m still scratching my head over that one.The sales associate then told me that I would have no problem at all finding them online, but after four hours of Internet searching, in tears, I am done. I don’t have the financial resources to order a completely new pair of glasses. Because these glasses are just a few months over two years old, LensCrafters policy is that the scrips for the lenses are expired, so I need to go to another eye appointment, and order a complete set. Last time these glasses cost me $849, plus $100 for an eye appointment. I won’t have that kind of money saved for at least 4 months. If they had just honored my warranty at the time of purchase when I brought the glass back with the complaint of the nose piece, I would not be in this situation now. If they had realized when I was in the store the first time last week that the frames were discontinued, I wouldn’t be still have that hundred dollars to get started on an eye appointment And maybe I could’ve afforded a new set of glasses at Walmart. Still never told me how I was able to order the frames last week, and now all of a sudden they’re discontinued. I am just so I don’t pressed, and I really would feel so bad if somebody else experienced the same experience I did, which is why I took the time to write this review. It’s hard enough in this world when you don’t have good eyesight, and now with the headaches and the inconvenience and I’m not quite sure what store I will try next because I’ve used LensCrafters for almost my whole life. I don’t need the stress, and you don’t either. Do not shop here.
The person that helped me was awesome!!!
Lenscrafters at the Maine Mall sucks. bought glasses there 2 yearslong ago, have had nothing but problems, The glasses were expensive and the staff were not very helpful. I brought my glasses in many times over the past 2 years to be fixed and they said the glasses were not right because i didnt treat the glasses right? my lens are chipping away, i had the glasses looked at by a second party and i was told its a manufactures defect. Lens crafters did not stand behind their products. Im very dissatisfied. wont go there again
Competent. Efficient. Competative
Very expensive but a good selection of products. Will probably keep going there for my glasses.
