Also doesnt disclose the vehicles he has has all been wrecked. Make sure you auto check before you buy from him. Also had a buddy call him and got told totally different things about the car that is wrong with it than I did. Beware scam artist trash can dealership!

Didnt disclose that the vehicle had been in a major accident and when we pulled our own Carfax because they wouldnt, he seemed shocked that it had been in an accident.We had a vehicle to trade in and he kept saying it wasnt worth what we knew it was. He wouldnt listen until we showed him the KBB value. Even after we showed him, he said he would give us $2,000 LESS than what the trade in went for according to value.Terrible customer service. Im pretty sure they only buy branded titles AND totaled vehicles.

I bought a Nissan Frontier from Salvador at Car City about 3 weeks ago. After driving it around town and on a long trip, I have to say I am very happy with the truck. Additionally, I am very happy with the car buying experience I had. Salvador was a pleasure to work with. He is very personable, and I feel like he was very honest. He gave me a good amount on my trade in and a very fair sales price on the truck. I have looked at advertised prices for similar trucks both before and since I made my purchase and I still feel like this was the best deal (It was well under low KBB). I would certainly recommend Salvador and Car City if you want a fair price on a car.

When I first walked into the dealer I was looking at a duramax they had.i noticed an issue with it while on my test drive so drove back to dealer and before I could tell Carlos my salesman he came up and told me about the issue before I could tell him so made me feel better about it. Told him I would do the deal just needed to work things out with my bank.well bank took a bit longer than expected so had to call Carlos and get him to hold on to it in the mean time there were multiple buyers who wanted this truck but he told me he would hold it and he did keep his word on it so meant a good deal to me.did run into some things and had to do some repairs but they worked with me on costs of some parts so been pretty good experience for me because really not a car lot person but like this truck Jason the technician was great person to work with on all this matter so hats off to Carlos and Jason and the car city team been real happy with my purchase

I looked around for a car for quite a while; online and in person. I happened to by driving by Car City one night and saw a Toyota Camry I couldnt believe. This car was CLEAN! I took a photo of the VIN and ran it online... CLEAN! So I proceeded to visit again the next day and met Gus. Well Gus, YOU ROCK! Gus made me feel comfortable and not under pressure. He is a very nice person and easy to work with. I asked him for some time to think about it and get to get my finances in order. I came back and found someone else looking at the car, uh oh. Well with Gods grace and Guss HONESTY, he handed me the keys and said you were here first, go for that test drive and let me know what you want to do. I was looking for a good used car for my teen daughter. Car City had the car we were looking for. I inspected the car and found several flaws that can be expected in a used 10 y/o car. I told Gus about the problems I had found with the tires and the air conditioning. I made an offer on the car that was less than the asking price. Gus took the car and had his mechanic fix all the problems with the car including a good set of tires and fixing the air conditioning. I thought Gus would want the full price for the car. Gus came way down on the price and we got it for only a little more that what I offered. The car is great and in excellent condition for the age. I will come here again when I need a great used car for my kids to drive. Thanks Gus for being exceptional and thank your mechanic for fixing up the car.

When we found a few issues that concerned us, some of which were pretty expensive, he had his own mechanic take care of them. He even had the brakes and rotors replaced, which we hadnt mentioned. This really impressed us. Highly recommend this place!

Stay away from this place. Especially Carlos, he is not a fair guy. He took my deposit eventhough the loan was not processed. He lied about the rates and will do everything to sell you a car.The minute you leave the parking lot, you are screwed. He will not even pick up his phone. I took my car back in 3 times to have them FIX the check engine light that conveniently popped on during the first week of owning the car. I was impressed by the huge selection of cars, but more than anything else by all the available information these guys gave me at the moment of the purchase. They reviewed with me the entire history of the cars, we took them for test drives, and they even allowed me to take it into my own mechanic. Great service! I felt they were being honest from the very moment they were willing to show me the titles history and let me take it to a mechanic of my own choice. 💥BUYERS BEWARE💥! Worst car buying experience ever!!! We purchased a van online from them only 1 yr old and 12,000 mile. Pictures and salesman stated it was in like new immaculate condition. They were to deliver it to my home and the day it was to be delivered I received a text stating it had been dropped off at a flying J 15 min away and keys left with attendant!💥 Never heard of anything so absurd. I called the gas station and no van! After an hour of thinking Id been scammed they called and told me the key was under the shock. I had a neighbor take me to get it and thats when I started finding all the problems. 💥It was dirty with hair in the cup holders, no mats, no valet key and only one key period, middle seat completely broken, tail light was cracked. I took it into a dealership to be looked at and they found more problems. 💥 It had been in a major car crash that was not told to me. The back door had been removed and not put on correctly. They had glued the back light inside. There was overspray on the back windows from repair and tape still in the top. It was cracked under the van and no spare tire!💥 I put a stop on the check and asked that the van be picked back up. They told me 7 different times it would be picked up and no one came. Then finally one day it was gone without any communication. This dealership should be shut down! Worst experience in purchasing a vehicle ever!!!!!!! BEWARE!💥💥💥

Best car dealership experience Ive had. Decent selection for how small the lot is. The employees all know what theyre talking about and dont lie to you about car problems. I bought my Honda Civic there; they fixed everything that needed to be fixed free of charge the week I bought it and I havent had a single problem with it ever since. I would recommend buying a car here over any of the big car dealerships in the area.

Worst car experience Ive ever had. Staff was very nice and responsive when buying but that did not last long. Car supposedly passed safety and emissions but two different shops in two different cities told me they would never pass this car and both offered my nearly identical lists of issues including leaking shocks, decaying hoses, brakes, and battery mounts. Had also spoken to Car City about my belief that the power steering was bad but they came back after the inspection saying that it was fine and it had just needed an alignment. The alignment had improved the problem but certainly did not fix it and was later informed by the two shops that the power steering system did in fact have a crack in it. There was also a makeshift repair job done on the exhaust system using a spare part that didnt even fit and the wielding job was so bad that it had cracked within a month of me having the car. And to top it all off, they were contractually obligated to repair a problem with the seat belt sensor and replace all four tires. Every time I called, the part for the seat belt was on back order and it has now been six months and they stopped responding to my calls months ago. Finally, out of the 4 tires they were supposed to replace they only did 2 and they improperly installed both causing blowouts within a few weeks. How hard is it to switch out tires? Their dishonesty and refusal to make any of this right means I will never recommend anyone purchase a vehicle regardless of how nice they might seem.

He repainted the most minor scratches at my request. At car city they even held my car while I went camping. Honestly I couldn’t ask for a better car buying experience. Dont purchase a car here unless you can speak Spanish! Its the only way to almost get something done, but youll probably still end up exasperated. I bought my Mazda 3 here about two months ago. As soon as I started driving it the check engine light came on. Should be no problem to fix right? It took four trips to Salt Lake for them to even look at it! The first three times I got to sit there and be ignored for hours before being told they wouldnt help me. Then a fifth trip for them to fix it, which took about 20 min when they got around to it. Im still waiting on parts I ordered when I bought the car because every time I ask about them they say they didnt understand, whether it was English or Spanish its the same answer. Honestly all these guys are good for is getting you a second rate car as fast as possible and then leaving you to deal with it. Worst customer experience Ive ever had.

I can’t believe that I almost purchased a car in another dealer where today is out of business. I went to Car City looked at couple of vehicles and they went through all the financial numbers before I even saw the car and the test drive was very accurate and straight to the point. Of course even is a used car it looks like new and some items needed to be taking care of and today is been almost two months and Car City sent me the plates to my house for my Honda Civic EX 2009 (great car). So, I am not only received a very friendly customer service but I get to take my car to do a follow up over the entire vehicle inspection like oil change –you know all the fluids- since I was going to Las Vegas and I just want to go back there –at Car City- because I really feel honest in all what they do there. I can’t wait to refer my friends to go to Car City and if they purchase a car I will be rewarded with U$D 100.00 (ONE HUNDRED) dollars. Honestly today’s economy I feel really valued as a customer by this dealer. My husband and I are going to be having our first baby and needed a practical car that would fit our needs (I drove a coupe which would be annoying to get a car seat in and out of). We searched for three months. We test drove, no joke, 20+ cars, and none of them fit our needs. Then, we came to Car City. We found a car we liked, test drove it, took it to our mechanic, and it was clean! There were a couple of things that needed to be fixed on the vehicle (minor), but they fixed it before we even drove the vehicle off the lot. There were a couple of things that came up after we bought the car, and they fixed those too without any charge to us! Gus and all of the members at Car City were all very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Oh, did I mention that they gave us almost twice what Toyota in Boutiful offered us for our trade in? Yeah. They did. They didnt try to low-ball us at all! Service department screwed me good! They refuse to fix the check engine light problem until the motor went. They said that it was not covered under warranty. Well, I threatened reviews on social media and they changed the motor. But then I find out afterward that they pinched the line to the power steering pump! Beware! They also pinched the fuel rail- caused all kinds of grief including had to get a starter. Went out because of the pinched fuel rail...

Was not expecting to buy a car at all but I fell in love with the Honda Accord 2014 they had available. After checking a Carfax Report to see if everything was OK, I decided to buy it. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I guess you have to be of hispanic ethnicity to get GOOD service. Purchased my car in June 2015 which had a broken windshield as well as a missing sun visor. My salesman ALEX told me the windshield had already been ordered and that the cost would be covered by the dealership and that he would order the visor for us. We were thrilled! A day after my temp tag had EXPIRED I called to ask about my license plate to which they replied the had LOST IT!!!! Here we are in October and I STILL have yet to have my windshield replaced. Ive called on numerous occasions and each rep who answered wanted to take my name and number so they could call the service department and then call me back to schedule a time. I also had a rep tell me it was not covered under warranty. THEY SOLD THE CAR TO ME WITH A BROKEN WINDSHIELD!!!! That car would not pass safety so legally they could not have sold me the car without a replacement windshield! I finally got a hold of my salesman who told me he would special order from CA but that I have to pay $80 because he had to special order it. This was last week. I called today to check on the status and the woman who answered was extremely rude saying she called me back about the issue a month ago and I never called back. The message she left was from 2 weeks ago and I DID call back last week and got a hold of my salesman who told me he still needed to order it. AWFUL COMPANY!!!! If I have to pay or wait one more week for my windshield or if it shatters on me you best believe I will get a lawyer!

I got a Subaru Outback from these guys a few months ago. It was the second car I purchased from Car City. The millage was high but they gave me a warranty so I was cool with it. 6 months after the warranty expired I got a problem with car. I called Car City and they sent a towing right away. I got an estimated of almost $2,000 to fix the car in Subaru Service, but Car City did the same work for $750. They only charged me the parts to repair the car and gave me the labor at no cost (!) On top of that, they allowed me to pay them in 3 months cuz I was in a tight budget at the moment. Way to treat loyal customers! No doubts that I will get my third car with these guys again and send all my references here. Car City is the best dealer ever.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE!! Sure at first they are so polite and nice and they help you with your financial needs, they help you find the car you want, etc etc. When buying the car, the tires were used up and the rims were bent. They said they would replace them as well as the steering problem. The car would pull sideways when driving faster than 40 miles an hour. I explained that they needed to fix that because I drove an hour away to go to work. I made sure they included that maintenance on the contract before I signed anything. I bought the car and a MONTH later took the car in and they supposedly had fixed the steering problem and changed the tires and wheels. No they did not. All they did was switch the parts around and made it WORSE! I called and called and that ONE lady answered finally. I told her many times that my car hadnt been fixed, they only made it worse. She took my number down and nobody called me back, until I showed up to the dealership again. They said to go back the week after. I called to let them know I was on my way and nobody answered nor called me back. I had to start calling from different numbers to get them to answer the phone. They never fixed my car. I finally went to a friend who is a mechanic and had him look at my car 3 months after i bought it. He said the struts were bad. He bought the parts and I left my car to get fixed. When I went to pick up he said my control arm was loose and hanging by ONE SINGLE BOLT and if it had broken loose completely, I could have had a FATAL ACCIDENT which could have resulted in a tragic death. I had to pay out of my own pocket to get it tightened up and thank god it wasnt much to do that. Also, at the time of picking up my plates, they had LOST my plates and had to reorder them. I waited for my plates for over a month after my tag expired and had to pay the DMV myself to get an updated tag which only was good for a week. After that, I had to ask my parents and friends to drive me to work and pick up (an hour drive to work and an hour drive home) everyday until they found my plates. ALEX and OMAR are the worse scum Ive ever met. HORRIBLE service, horrible manners, and horrible dealership. I will NOT recommend this place to anybody at all! If you are desperate for a car, please please please, wait to talk to a bank, or save enough money to put down and make the sacrifice to go to a REAL dealership where they actually care about you, their reputation and your best interest. DO NOT GO HERE.

This place sells lemons. I say it because I bought a car here. Sadly I wasnt educated well enough to know how to buy a car and know when to say no. When you go in they seem like they are super nice. The lady in the front always has a huge smile on her face, and offers you coffee while you wait (from the Kuerig) to the right of the store. Then the owner, the short Mexican guy, comes out with a huge smile, and tells you about the sales they are having and how they are here for you. Long story short, they sold me a car with a broken transmission. I found this out after a month of owning the car. When I brought it back in, they were very disrespectful and told me to get off of their lot because the customers could hear me saying the car had a broken transmission. They also told me that if I ever come back to the lot, to make sure I leave my boyfriend at home because they dont help homosexuals out. True story. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE, I am stuck with a huge loan because of what they sell. This place shouldnt be able to run, and I hope someone starts and investigation and shuts this place down and arrests the owner. Stuck with over 12k on a car I cant drive at the age of 23.

Dont waste your time because theyll waste yours, absolutely the worst dealership Ive ever been to, I was looking at a car on their lot online, so I drove 45 minutes to look at the car, I tried asking some questions about the car, most he ignored or answered with one word, Id looked at the car inside and out checked out the engine, but when I asked for a test drive I guess he was sick of me asking questions and told me the car had been sold and that the couple was picking it up later, then he walked inside and didnt even bother asking if Id wanted to see something else. I cant believe they how they treated a potential customer.

Dont let the talk of a language barrier distract you from visiting Car City Auto. I dont speak a lick of Spanish, so upon reading the initial reviews I was a little worried. However, my worries were very quickly dismissed when I first visited the dealership. I personally worked with Gustavo on buying a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. The whole process with Gus was great, and he ended up getting me a great deal on a car I really enjoy driving. I worked on the closing papers with Alex and it was also a pleasure to work with him. Overall the whole process was very easy and smooth.One of the major reasons this dealership is getting 5 stars from me is because of what happened shortly after I bought the car. When I got home, much to my surprise the water pump practically blew up, leaving a small hole large enough to cause the coolant to leak everywhere. The car was inoperable, and I was very frustrated. I signed an As-Is no warranty, so I initially was not going to call, but my uncle insisted that I should. I am very happy that I decided to make a call to Gus to explain the problem. He took it upon himself and the dealership to send a tow truck all the way to Ogden to pick up my vehicle and get the car fixed. They ended up replacing the water pump and the thermostat. They also replaced the coolant and did an oil change. This easily would have cost me $600-$800 if I had to do this with another mechanic, but Gus was able to get me out the door for only $100. They were able to get all of this done in 2 days! Talk about a dealership that made a concerted effort to make things right with the vehicle. I was very pleased with how they handled a very frustrating situation.I would recommend Car City Auto because they care about getting you a good deal on your vehicle, and they go the extra mile to ensure that your vehicle runs properly. They sold me a car that crapped out after one month. I took it back to their mechanic twice and they still werent able to fix the issue. DO NOT buy your car here youll regret it.

🍋🍋🍋🍋Worst place/experience.The “Owner” Carlos, was extremely unprofessional, a charlatan, bigmouthed he denied selling me the car, on several occasions offensive to me and my wife.After buying a car which showed several issues within weeks and after dealing with their very unreliable mechanics, we requested to exchange the car but he would not.We diced that we didn’t want to do more businesses with him, but they make us pay for whatever the mechanic did, which we never knew what it was because they never gave us a receipt or written deription of what it was done.But wait there is more, after paying for who knows what, we will get threatening callsasking us to do more payments!! 😡🤯I got to say that you have run away from this place.

They. Sold me a truck that they said passed safety & emission but it needed a new computer lower balljoint &a arm springs & socks so worn out they wasnt safe. Front axle housing. Was broken they did replaced the transmission but it was the computer that was causing the problems and it had been in a car wreck and they didnt tell me about it

PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. THEY ARE CROOKS AND THIEVES. Do not buy a car here, no matter how desperate you are! I was sold a car here, about two years ago. We arent going to talk about how overpriced it was because that was my fault for buying something at that price and not knowing how to haggle. I first bought a Element. Two weeks after I bought it, I almost crashed on the freeway because it started jerking uncontrollably and losing speed. We brought the car in to get checked. They gave us a car to drive in the meanwhile while they checked the car. It was a Jeep. The Jeep started pulling back when you tried accelerating, we let them know. Before we brought it in, we brought it to a family friend to check it out. We were told the transmission was out. So we exchanged the borrowed car and they gave us a Passat. Long story short with that one, the transmission had started failing. We turned that one in, and they let us know that the transmission was out in the element. At that point we wanted our money back, but they said by law they didnt and wouldnt give us our money back, but they would be kind enough to let us trade for a different car. We ended up getting a Nissan Murano. The nissans trasnmission was out as well. We are stuck with a debt of $9800 (which we are still paying) because the car gave out after driving it for a year. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. To make things even worse, I let the owner know that my Nissans transmission was out, he told me he would have to check the car. I asked him how log that would take, and he told me an hour. That was fine because I was at work. After three hours, my shift was soon to end, so I called about the car and when was he bringing t back to my job. This was after about 30 calls. I even called the police. He finally answered and said he didnt feel like bringing the car back because he was taking his kids to the movies. There was no way this was real life. I ended up having to take a $57 taxi back home that day. AGAIN, DO NOT BUY ANYTHKNG FROM THIS PLACE. THEY SELL LEMONS!

Awful service. The car was decent, but the people in question are absolutely the worst people I have ever known in the Industry. The car I purchased had a broken corner in the front bumper, where it wasnt properly attaching to the car. They told me they would fix it before I bought it two days later. I go to buy the car, it looks fine. I go driving with it. Week later, its popped out again. I take it back, they say theyll fix it. Not even a day after I got it back, its already popped out. I take it back for a third time, they say theyll fix it fast, and if they cant, theyll replace the bumper, for free. So I take it in, get told itll be ready in half a day, 8 hours max. I call in later, its not ready. Gonna take another day for them to replace the bumper. Call in the day after, its not fixed, gonna be until later. I call in again, they tell me itll be ready tonight and I can pick it up. Well the problem here is that I cant pick it up because Im busy, and I have no one to send to pick it up. They tell me I can pick it up at 9:00 AM the next day. Well the problem HERE is that I need the car that same day before 8:00 AM for work. The employee there assures me that the car will be left out and that I can pick it up with my spare key during their closing hours. I go to pick it up at 6:00 AM, the car isnt there. The lot is blocked off, my car is not anywhere as far as I can see. Even if it was there, I couldnt get it out because the only entrance in or out of the lot was blocked off. I got penalized at work for not having a work-appropriate car, which was what I bought the car from them FOR, and they were told ahead of time when I needed the car finished by. Do NOT shop here, and do not trust them with your car. They wont fix your cars problems, theyll hot-glue it together and then act surprised when it comes undone, and then theyll take 3x longer than stated to do the work the next four times you bring it in. They are absolutely and by far, the WORST car dealership I have ever had the displeasure of working with, and I hope everyone can get the chance to read this before dealing with them. They dont deserve your money or your business. But if Im to be fair, I will say that the car itself was good condition and decently priced. Also, the salesman that helped me throughout all of this, Gus, was excellent. Friendly, courteous, willing to work with me throughout all of this trouble. I cant fault him for my poor experience, but unfortunately, one decent employee isnt enough to erase all the bad experiences Ive had with them.Update: Apparently leaving a bad review is harassment, and trying to get work on your car done that you paid for two months beforehand and expecting work to be done in the time frame projected is a hassle according to one of the disgruntled employee that called me the morning after posting this review. So if you do buy from them, make sure you only leave good reviews and make no requests to get work done that that was included in your contract when purchasing said vehicle, otherwise theyll ban you from doing business with them again, like they did in my case.

Do NOT buy your used car here you will regret it. First of all we didnt get our plates in the mail after a month so we called to find out what was happening, and they informed us that they hadnt run the emissions test when we bought it, so we had to take it back. Two days before we took it back it wouldnt accelerate over 15mph, they fixed it and then a week later it started doing the same thing again this time they wanted to charge us to fix the same problem they had supposedly fixed the first time. Overall a super unpleasant experience. Keep in mind all of these problems were happening two months after we purchased the car.

At first they seemed really great. Helpful, easy to work with, not pushy, the only bad thing was a receptionist that would leave you on hold forever and wouldnt answer your questions. I loved working with my salesman Gus. All the problems came after I purchased the car and the check engine light came on as I was driving away. I had a specialist look at it and found big issues with it! Needs a new engine, new clutch, no spare tire, no jack or lug nut wrench, bad windshield wipers, and headlights that dont work. I tried working this out with them to which they ultimately responded, Theres nothing we can do.Im 9 months pregnant. I just needed a reliable car. Now Im stuck trying to figure this all out.Me vendieron un coche necesitando nuevo motor, nuevo embrague, con faros que no funcionen, y sin rueda de repuesto. Sounds like Car City pulls the same trick on every customer. Cars that have significant crash damage that they have no idea about. Unfortunately for us we didn’t visit a mechanic before purchasing. After we paid for it they kept if for a day to fix the airbag light. That should have been our first clue. We bought it to share and when it was my turn to drive I noticed a loud clunking noise when turning. We took it to the Acura dealer and they had us come back to the garage while the hood was up. When the mechanic pressed on the gas the whole motor lifted up because the motor mount was busted. They also told us the front end had been in a collision and the hood, radiator, etc had been replaced and that the car shouldn’t have had a clean title. We also noticed that the floor mats which had been in the car before we purchased it were now missing. We asked Car City for reimbursement on the repair to the motor mount and for our mats. They said they misplaced the mats and that the manager would consider reimbursing us..never happened. Buy from someone who will be upfront when selling a car. Its beyond bad to act like you don’t know what’s wrong with the car and then never rectify the situation/problem with the customer.

Worst dealership ive ever been to. We went with a $6000 limit and when we trekked back through the mud to the car, which the guy did not even follow us to, the car DIDNT START. The windshield was cracked, and apparently it had been hit. SO MUCH FOR A CLEAN TITLE. This place was horrible!!

I took my car to get fixed on Tuesday, picked it up on Saturday to find it parked in the same placed i had parked it in . On top of the horrible customer service the lady attending me so unprofessional starts talking to her friend on the phone when she has a client.
